Thoughts on Izna and their MAMA 2024 performance that slayed
I recently decided to watch I-Land 2, since I knew Izna have been gearing up for their debut and it's always more fun to experience a debut when you know more about a group.
I had watched the original I-Land season that created Enhypen, and while I didn't keep up with the show after the first part, I payed attention to their debut (I was so surpised that Heesung wasn't the leader!!!! I still am!!!).
I am pretty happy with Izna's lineup, especially after their MAMA 2024 performance, I can see that they work well together. I still am quite sad about Fuko not making it, especially since she ranked so well throughout the season. When her and Jungeun started ranking a bit lower in part 2, I didn't have much concern since I thought they were both locked in.
I did peek a bit at the lineup right before part 2, and I was excited to see Sarang, who I saw as an underdog as she didn't stand out too much in the show as somebody who was for sure going to get in the lineup. This gave me hope for the other participants I thought were similar to Sarang in terms of their position on the show, and I became really hopeful for Yuju and Yeeun, two people who I thought would go well with the participants who I expected to make it.
The bottom line for me is that Izna did super well in MAMA 2024 and their self-titled song Izna fits them very well and I'm excited for them to debut!
-----------
Since I always have more thoughts and I'm going to use this tumblr blog to document them, why limit myself? Here is what I think of the members, and Fuko-
Jungeun- Is this the first time a participant of a competition show started and ended at rank 1? I know sitting in the rank 1 chair in the Produce shows is not the best thing to do during the beginning of the show. She's a very consistent person with her vocal and her dancing. Also she reminds me of Karina.
Jeemin- Slay. She showed up and showed off and I think we're all glad she's in Izna and not Illit. I think she would make a great leader! She low key reminds me a bit of Sullyoon. They have some facial similarities that I cannot put my finger on.
Jiyoon- In the first couple episodes, I had some pretty strong, negative feelings towards her. We all saw her not get her way, sulk, and drag down her team with her. I was surprised she was on the older end of the participants because I saw her reactionary behavior as quite immature. Boy I am glad I continued to watch the show because she ended up being one of my favorite participants! She really proved herself with her abilities and it was heartwarming to see her push to keep up when she was slow to take in the choreography for Drip. I think she's gorgeous with a gorgeous voice and I loved her look for the MAMA performance! The dress for the Vocal Unit Battle (ep 4-5) was hideous and absolutely did not fit her.
Koko- She was always within the top 7 ranks but for some reason I never saw her as a for sure part of the lineup until the 1st save vote. In part 2 I could tell with her editing that she was going to debut, and while she wasn't one of my favs, there is no doubting that she fills an important spot in Izna's talent pool with her powerful dancing and her voice really suits the rap parts in their songs. Side note about her styling in the MAMA performance; I did not like it. You would think this far into the industry that stylists would take into consideration each person's proportions, and not exaggerate them if it's not the concept, but honestly Koko's styling here and Illit's Yunah's styling in general leaves much to be desired. I am not saying that certain body types are less flattering and should be styled to minimize their differences, I just think these stylings stand out just as much as when one member wearing white while all the other members wearing black, and the whole point of a group is to show some individuality while still remaining a cohesive whole.
Sarang- She's nice and undoubtably earned her spot but honestly, I can't get over how short she is! One thing companies definitely consider when creating groups is how the group looks next to each other, and that often means you don't have extreme variations in height. Think Mamamoo, Itzy, and to a lesser extent, Blackpink and Aespa. In my opinion, competition show groups end up with a pretty large range in height. Some great examples are IZ*ONE, I.O.I., and Twice. What is interesting is that I've noticed secondary competition groups seem to also have this height range, like Weki Meki and IVE. What I thought was interesting was that Katseye totally is the exception to the rule here. They are all such similar height. I think this is because the company had a larger part in the final lineup, because it seems that Ezrela (quite shorter than the current members) would have made the final lineup if the results were more based on viewer voting. I thought Sarang's MAMA styling was great and I loved her bangs!
Mai- I was quite surprised that she ended up ranking in the debut line up. Especially when you compare her rankings with Fuko's she really dipped in part 2, whereas Fuko was out of the top 7 only 2 (once when she went to the Ground, and then at the very end when she ended with rank 8). I didn't really see the reason why Mai got so many votes, especially since in part 2 she didn't seem like a strong contender the way they were making out Koko, Jeemin, and Saebi to be.
Saebi- Saebi, another giant maknae! Through the show we got to see her sweet personality. She isn't the most talented member and definitely stood out because of her looks, but she is absolutely not a hole in Izna's talent pool, which should never be taken for granted.
🩷 Fuko- Girlypie I feel so bad for her. She has the talent and skills, but somewhere towards the end that didn't get her enough votes. When Jiyoon and Jungeun made up I started really looking forward to seeing the trio of her, Jungeun, and Jiyoon in a group. I saw somebody comment somewhere that she is basically all trained up and any company she ends up in could debut her almost immediately, so I'm holding out hope! Unfortunately, the kpop industry has really shifted towards debuting young groups, which means Fuko, who I'm older than by 12 days, is somehow an 'old' trainee. If you use the definition of minor from korea (int. age 19), there truly aren't that many groups who have debuted with all adults. Babymonster, IVE, New Jeans, and Enhypen all would be missing a large chunk of members if minors could not debut.
-----------
My thoughts on Izna's music and concept:
Oh my god! I loved the song Izna!!!!! It was fresh but also on the more girl crush side of things but still classy. Classy crush! The song did a wonderful job at expressing Izna's concept and I really hope their creative direction doesn't showcase to a cute concept until they're an established group. I thought the song wasn't just satisfactory, I thought it was an actual quality song with unique musical elements. The choreography hit, especially for the beginning of the song. Teddy's songs are notorious for having empty choruses, but with the vocalizations during the chorus, I thought he got away with it. I LOVED the unexpected ending to the prechorus part that Koko and Jiyoon both did. I also loved how Jiyoon's iteration was unique with the variation in the high note. It gave me a glimpse into a more ethereal/girl crush concept, which I loved!
I cannot wait for more Izna performances from Izna! I might make a post when the song comes out and move all this song review stuff to that but we shall see! Thanks for reading if you made it this far, I am pretty damn impressed if you read the whole thing so if you have anything to respond to, I'd love to hear it!

How many pieces of gum have you chewed today? None. But the last time I chewed gum was in December when my teammate and Resident Gum Supplier Ruthie had a pack of gum with her and was giving it away after our team dinner hahaha.
Any big events coming up? There's my resignation coming up which I'm really looking forward to. It's really what my body and mental health are asking from me at this point. I'm still job-hunting at the moment, but in case that takes a while to settle I also have an agreement with my current company that they're ready to have a spot for me moreso for backend support – which I'm fine with. The main thing I just really no longer have the capacity for is dealing with clients.
Do you know anyone who is paralyzed? Yes.
What did you do last night? Applied for a couple more jobs, watched some videos here and there, and that's pretty much it. I was really tired and I didn't even have coffee the whole day so I was out by around 11 PM.
By doing that, what time did you go to bed? Oh hehe. ^ There ya go.
And what time did you wake up this morning? Initially it was around 7 AM, then I went back to sleep again and when I woke up it around 8:50 AM – just enough time to prep for work.
Have you been debating anything recently? You can say that, but it's a work issue and I don't care enough about it to expound on it in full detail here.
Who was the last person to text you? Work contact.
Are there icicles on the sides of your house? No, I live in Southeast Asia.
Do you get intimidated easily? Little bit, yeah. So I prefer to play it safe most of the time.
Does anything on your body hurt currently? Yup my upper back so the area around my shoulders and the back of my neck have felt extremely strained this week. I can't wait to more or less bathe myself in ointment tonight, lol.
Are you often trying to escape the inevitable? I guess so, especially if the 'inevitable' entails major changes. It's why I held out at my job for as long as I did or stayed in my previous relationship even when it was blatantly falling apart.
What were the first words you said today? I can't even remember. All I know is that I woke up with the heavy weight of anxiety that I usually wake up with on weekdays.
Which lyric is your favorite from the song you are listening to? I'm watching a video game playthrough at the moment, no music.
Does it hold any memories? Sure! It's a Mario Kart 8 video and it often makes me recall the fun I had playing Mario Kart Wii when I was younger.
Why did you last cry? Saturday.
Did someone see you crying? Probably. I was crying in my car, but the car parked beside me had someone inside (I assume they were waiting for someone) – considering I don't have much of a tint on my windows they probably saw me crying.
Do you crack your knuckles? Yeah at least once a day.
Is it really going to give you arthritis? They say it doesn't, but if it turns out to do so then it is what it is for me. I've been cracking my knuckles for as long as I can remember lol.
Are you excited for the new year? That's around...10 months from now, and it's so soon to tell haha. I'd like to give 2024 a chance as to what it can give me and where it can take me.
List three things you are excited for in ‘09? So that's 15 years ago, but I remember being excited to have my first pair of glasses; catching New Moon in the cinema (LOL); and the release of the Telephone music vide.
What is the wallpaper on your cellphone? Lock screen is of Namjoon's bare back hah, home screen is an OT7 military photo.
Where is your best friend right now? Either at home or spending the night out with her boyfriend.
Can you count to 100 in any other language? Filipino and Spanish.
Do you headbang often? Not anymore.
Magenta or orchid? Magenta.
Are you a fan of Rob Zombie? Nope.
Last two songs you listened to? Escape Route by Paramore & No. 2 by RM and Park Jiyoon.
Are there any shoes you are really wanting? It'd be cool to have Sambas but I'm in no rush to have them since everyone's still wearing them haha.
Describe what you are wearing? My AJ Lee t-shirt and my favorite pair of gray lounge shorts.
Look out the window - what do you see? My curtains blocking out the view.
Television or computer? Computer, if computer can also mean laptop.
Germany or France? France.
Hawthorne Heights or She Wants Revenge? I'm not familiar with either.
Is your skin sensitive? When it comes to being irritated, yes. I'd get rashes from certain cloths and grass.
Are you sensitive in general? Personality-wise, I am.
Who last left you a note? Leah telling me to take a breather.
Have you ever made a gingerbread house? Not make it from scratch, but I've had to decorate a gingerbread house that was made in advance.
Who did you last get in a fight with? My mom. Tbh she's the only person I fight with these days lol, I'm super low-maintenance and haven't argued with anyone in years.
Are things resolved between the two of you now? Yep pretty much.
Did you have any weird dreams last night? I probably did.
Tell me one thing you remember from it? I never remember my dreams.
Lets have some lyrics to end this, yeah? Dear, don’t look back anymore / Left behind these memories mixed up so vividly will be these remaining lives like extras / All you did was just to do your best.

When you love somebody, something in your chemistry shifts to accommodate them, to offer them a home in your life. It’s a way of eternal remembrance, a spot in your heart and mind that remembers everything, even if it’s no longer there physically.
And that’s why you felt so empty. Because you felt it again, little details trickling back into your brain as you held the stone, feeling its cool energy around you, igniting something in the back of your mind.
You felt the curl of fingers around your waist, you felt warm lips on your cheek, and you had the faintest suspicion it was more than a memory, it was a part of you.
His face was out of sight, but you knew him. You would always know him, even if your mind forgot.
“Where are you?” You muttered, opening your eyes only to come face to face with Namjoon.
“Good morning,” He said warmly, setting a cup of coffee in front of you. “What are you up to?”
His eyes locked on the stone, before he glanced back up at you, eyes searching for something in yours.
“Sometimes I feel like I remember things from a previous life, or a person I used to be,” you pondered, looking at the stone. “It helps me remember.”
Namjoon closed his eyes, stepping back as he moved to sit down. “You forgot again, didn’t you?”
“Forget what?” You asked, confused. Did you forget to do your laundry or something?
He smiled, but it wasn’t his usual smile, “nothing. Forget I said anything.”
Your eyes narrowed. He was hiding something from you, that much was clear.
“They remember again,” he said slowly, brushing his tears away. “They’re using the memory stone.”
You blinked, what the heck was a memory stone?
“I’m just—I’m really sorry Yoongi, I know it’s hard on you,” he sighed to an unknown person on the phone, his golden aura dimmed to a murky mustard colour. “I’m sorry that I can’t do more.”
You thought long and hard about the name Namjoon mentioned. What was it again? Yoonji? Jiyoon? Neither of those rang a bell.
Sometimes you were so forgetful, it was one of the reasons why your friends often got frustrated with you. You couldn’t help it though. It was just a part of you.
When Namjoon hung up, you creaked the door open a little more, wandering into the room. He had a distraught expression on his face, and all you could think about was making it better, to do anything to ease his distress.
“Namjoon?” You asked, gently tapping his shoulder, worried eyes taking in his guilty expression. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” he replied tersely, before closing his eyes. He seemed distressed. “Nothing at all.”
The memory stone burned in your pocket, and you agreed with it. It felt like something was wrong, and it was all because of you.
While immersed in your thoughts, you decided to go out for a walk—one to clear your head, and two, because you needed to escape the stifling tension emanating from Namjoon. It stung that he wouldn’t tell you what was wrong, but you didn’t know what to do, so you opted to give him some space.
While wandering around the gardens, your thoughts were suddenly swarmed with the buzz of a piano beat, soft and gentle chords swirling around the air in a led light full and familiar tune.
It felt magical, as you watched a man play his heart out in the middle of the gardens, a soulful tune that screamed at you, reminding you of something.
Your feet led you to him, the man with the silver earrings and blond hair. You felt a hand around your waist, swaying to a soulful ballad, words imprinted in your memory:
*Will you stay by my side? Will you promise me? If I let go of your hand, you'll fly away and break; I'm scared of that. I’m scared, scared I'll lose you*
The more you sang, the more right it felt—his hands became tethers, his voice became clearer. You didn’t know that beautiful stranger, but you loved him. Oh to the gods did you ever love him.
You didn’t notice when the music stopped, tears gently rolling down your cheeks, mind foggy with the cool stone in your palm. You heard his haunting voice, felt the phantom hold of his hand in yours, a flash of silver and screams. Endless screams.
“You have a beautiful voice, the musician said with a smile, jolting you back to the present. “Are you a singer?”
You shook your head, “No, that song just brought back memories.”
The man had a small smile on his face, “Indeed. It’s a ballad that is often played as the final dance in the magical world.” He cleared his throat, “It was written for the composer’s beloved, a final piece for them before they left him, forever.”
“That’s such a sad story,” you said, memory stone warming up minutely. You paused briefly, consumed by something, before continuing, “it’s devastating actually.”
The man nodded, “Yeah, but sometimes fate does things we will never understand.”
You weren’t even sure what drove you to the music, what possessed you to relate so heavily to the song. You don’t know where the images of candlelit touches came from. All you remembered was that you loved him. You loved him so much.
“I know,” you whispered, before looking up at him. “You wouldn’t know it, but I lost someone so close to me. He sang that song to me before he left,” you said sincerely, before turning away.
The man nodded in sympathy, “It seems like that for a lot of people. It’s the last dance before the curtain falls.”
You thanked the man, and he waved a gloved hand at you before you turned away. When you looked back, all that remained was shimmering golden specks and a vacant piano.
“When you love somebody,” you said aloud to the empty room, voice hoarse from yelling, “you will always love them, whether you remember or not.”
You were once again met with silence, the memory stone glowing blue in your hand, “But you’ll never forget the sensation of their hands on your waist. You’ll never forget the timbre of their voice, you’ll never forget the tune of a song, even if you don’t remember the words.”
Silence once again.
“You will never forget them,” You whispered, teary eyes looking up at the popcorn ceiling. “Because they are a part of you, and they will always be a part of your destiny.
“I love him. So do me a favour, Fate, and bring him back to me!” You screamed, neck craned back as you screamed towards the ceiling with every fibre of your being, heart presented to the skies as though its meagre weight was the most precious of treasures. “I DON’T DESERVE TO SUFFER LIKE THIS ANYMORE!”
When the silence ensued once more, you sank to your knees, head dropping as you silently cried at the cruelty of it all. You felt him missing. You went so far, you did so many things but you never remembered. You could never remember.
Holding onto something that killed you inside was such a foolish idea. Hearing a tune that you couldn’t name was something that shouldn’t have mattered so much to you. Yet, you felt the sensation of a memory in your veins, and you desperately wished you knew who it was that left such a mark on your soul.
Namjoon was hiding something from you too, but you weren’t concerned, not when you knew that whatever it was, was something undesirable.
Instead, you were fraught with self-loathing at the fact that you couldn’t even remember the name of your own lover.
Feeling empty and more and more lonely, you stood up off the bench you were seated on, and wandered around, before your eyes latched onto a building with a garish, pink sign. *Min’s Cat Cafe*.
Intrigued, you felt your feet instinctually take you towards it, as if you were always meant to wander in there. The cafe was quiet, and at your entrance, a few fuzzy critters came to greet you. As you found your way to the counter, a rush of happiness flooded through your veins at the cuddly companions you had acquired.
The barista was cute, and adorned a bright smile. Yet, when it was your turn, it seemed he turned slightly condescending, and his eyes darkened minutely as you gave him your name for the order.
Shaking it off, you sat down at one of the many tables in the cafe, waiting for someone to call your name. The soft Himalayan kitty, who was gently snuggled into your lap, purred at your gentle strokes on his head.
A few moments later, a worker bought out your drink, placing it down in front of you quickly. You thanked him offhandedly, attention still focused on the kitty.
You weren’t sure why you went there, why you even wanted to stay, but the kitty made you happy.
However, after a few more minutes, the kitty started getting restless, before jumping off and running away. She circled the legs of one of the workers, and you just smiled at her. Looking up at the worker, it was the same guy who brought you your drink. He looked at you intensely, and you tried so hard to remember if you had met him before.
He was somebody that reeked of familiarity, and something inside you burned at the deep brown of his eyes, the soft curve of his eyelids, and the smooth slope of his nose. His hands were soft and veiny and you felt them around your hand, around your waist. You heard those lips singing a familiar tune—a tune you couldn’t remember…
He turned around after a moment, and you didn’t know what came over you, but you stood up, about to go after him, but as soon as you did, you failed to remember what it was you were looking for.
Your hands reached out, to trail after something or someone that wasn’t there. All that remained were those two little kittens that greeted you at the door, and your steaming cup of coffee.
When you sat back down, it felt like everyone was staring at you, as if the whole world was holding its breath waiting to see what you would do next. But you couldn’t do anything, because you weren’t entirely sure what it was you were meant to be doing.
As you took a sip of your coffee, rich flavour burst unto your tongue, and the sweet hints of cinnamon brought forth a warmth that lit your entire body on fire.
*Remember me,* he said to you, that day he held you close. *Please remember me*.
Your brows furrowed as the stone in your pocket began to vibrate, making you shiver from the cold. You grabbed it, placing it on your palm, and inspected it. It was shuddering and growing rapidly cooler, before you noticed started to notice the thin, wispy cracks littering its surface.
It scared you to see the only thing that held the forgotten pieces of your life shatter, as though the person you used to be was slowly fading away…
You feared you would lose everything in that moment, that you would never remember. But as you took a warm sip of that coffee, felt fingers dancing along your waist, and heard the silent plead to remember—to always remember—you were sure.
And maybe it was silly to be so confident in something so superficial such as memory, but it was enough, that when the last of the coffee dripped down your throat, and the music humming in your brain reached its loudest— the stone shattered into a thousand, tiny fragments.
Everything began to pour into you, everything that you lost so forcefully found its way back into the crevices of your heart, and you keeled over by the sheer magnitude of it. You felt someone close to you, holding you up, holding you close, gentle hands around your waist, and you coughed—your throat grew hoarse at the words that threatened to run from your lips, at the songs that swarmed in your ears.
You saw his face clearly, those gentle swoops of his eyelids, the soft brown of his eyes, that smooth slope of his nose…
You jolted as you lifted your head, only to find those same eyes staring back at you. Your heart was racing, and you felt tears prick the corners of your eyes, feeling so many tumultuous emotions ravaging your heart.
Yoongi looked back at you with hope, so much hope that you weren’t sure who felt more terror—you or him. You were so afraid, afraid of how warm and comfortable his embrace was, of how easily you could forget the beautiful sensation of his love.
You were so scared of how much love you felt for him, now that your heart was finally resonating with your brain.
You remembered so much, so many horror stories that you were petrified of what would happen if you let yourself feel love again. Yet at the same time, you were sure that the sweet taste of his love would make it worth it. It would always be worth it.
So you let him hold you, looking into the trenches of his soul, wondering where you would fit in there. You weakly lifted an arm, feeling so heavy in your own body, feeling as though the acquisition of your memories burdened you with a thousand pounds—you trailed your fingers across his cheek, feeling that soft flesh that you loved to kiss.
You traced the shape of his eyelid, remembering the sensation, remembering the way his eyelashes fluttered.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, voice feeling thick and croaky. “I promised I would never forget. I’m sorry.”
He began breaking down, simply holding your closer and silently letting his tears flow. He gripped you tightly, but not painfully, as though any looser and you would slip between his fingers and forget him again.
“I’ve waited for you for a long, long time,” he said, and you felt the coolness of his energy wrap around you like a blanket, protecting you. It reminded you of when he stepped in front of you, to defend you from the monster who cursed you. You remembered.
“I know,” you said, holding him back even tighter.
You found out later, that Yoongi had taken you upstairs to his apartment above the cafe. The rest of the boys, except for Namjoon, were there to greet you.
At first they seemed tentative, after all, this wasn’t the first time this happened, but upon seeing your full recollection of your past, they seemed to be at ease.
Jungkook merely greeted you with a silent wave, nodding at you politely. You offered him a smile, which he returned before focusing his attention on his phone. You appreciated the fact that he acknowledged you this time, as he could sometimes appear cold and disinterested when really, he just wasn’t a fan of socializing.
You were sure your previous self probably thought he was angry with you without realizing just how kind he truly was.
Then you saw Jimin, who greeted you boisterously, explaining that he had seen you previously, and always knew you had the potential to return to them.
He even goaded Yoongi to sit down at the piano to play your song, the song that was always meant for you… Butterfly.
The night he unveiled it to you, was the night before the curse began. He confessed that it was a way to guide you home when you got lost, when you needed to find your way back to him. Yes, it might have been a parting song, but it was also something intended to bring you back to him when you needed him most. He was forever yours, and you hoped that he would always be, now and forever.
The first time you saw Namjoon again was a difficult experience. You held no animosity towards him nor did you feel he was responsible for your memory loss. If anything, he was the last person you would have ever blamed for such a thing.
When Yoongi saw him, that protective layer of magic wrapped around you once again, but it was okay, because this time, you stepped in front of him.
Hugging Namjoon gave you the closure you never knew you needed. Knowing that they all knew that you were okay again made it bearable. Having your feet guide you to him was like you had finally returned home.
“I never blamed you, and I will never blame you,” you said softly, holding him tightly. “Even with knowing everything, I will never ever blame you for what she did.”
“I just feel like I played a role,” he whimpered, raising his head to presumably look at Yoongi. “I shouldn’t have—“
“There’s a lot of things we shouldn’t have done,” Yoongi said, stepping forward. “And to be honest, you were right. It was better to let Y/n find their way when they were ready, because who would’ve guessed that the memory stone blocked their memories? Namjoon,” he said thickly, brushing away a tear. “It’s not your fault.”
“Nobody could have predicted what was going to happen,” you said, before pulling away and looking at his face. “It’s okay. We’re all together again, and that’s all that matters.”
You were sure this time. You wouldn’t forget him again. You felt that sweet touch of magic flutter to life inside you, and it gave you the confidence that, no matter what, it would protect you.
As the seven of them brightened up your life—resuming your relationship was as easy as it was at the beginning.
A bright tune melodiously fluttered from the keys of a piano, happily proclaiming that love had returned.

📏 The Only Tall Maknae | Wonyoung
Request: hii can i request an izone wonyoung jealous cuddles scenario with shorter fem!reader? thank uu Plot: Wonyong and the small idol Fem!Reader are in a relationship. During MAMA, Wonyoung gets jealous of her girlfriend. Words: 2,661 Genre: fluff Notes: tried to write it in a way that was closer to the thoughtless attitude of teenagers inexperienced in having a relationship as idols. there are spaces for prequels or part two, maybe. if you want, send me a plot and i will write more from this universe! hope you like it! have a nice week!
Wonyoung was happy to be at MAMA again. What made her even happier, in addition to performing and receiving all the love from Wizones, was that you were there, with her. Not exactly with her, since the location of the tables was made so that her group and yours were somewhat distant, but you both were there, giving sneaky glances at each other and dancing excitedly during more animated performances by groups you liked. You had to control yourselves, trying to be discreet, even though almost all the idols in your circle of friends already knew your closeness was something more. There were cameras there and they weren't kind at all.
You met through friends and have been dating for almost a year. Staying with her took away all your tiredness, reinvigorated your energies and left you with a happiness never felt before. She was the most beautiful and adorable girl in the world. And you were lucky to be her girlfriend. Very lucky.
Your group had made the second comeback in a year and, for the first time, your schedules were proximate. You were doing your best and she was doing her best, and you were able to meet in the meantime.
You just didn't expect to be nominated for Best New Female Artist, but Wonyoung was rooting for you, and when it came time to announce the winning group, you focused on her again and sighed.
"You are just a silly in love.", Soojin's voice sounded low in your ear, clearly mocking your "heart eyes" towards Wonyoung.
You felt your cheeks getting hot. The pros and cons of being a maknae... even though you were spoiled in many moments, your group really liked to make jokes about how you lost the bossy pose when you were with your girlfriend. And also the difference between your height and hers. It was extremely evident! But you loved it, after all, you could hide your face on her neck while you hugged.
"I'm not silly!", you said, smiling.
You turned your face to the stage, where the MC's were about to read the name of the award-winning female group.
Your eyes met Wonyoung's for a moment, looking for strength in case your group didn't win, and you gave her a bigger smile, getting back the most beautiful smile in the world.
Until they announced the name of your group.
There was a round of applause and you were a little lost, in shock, looking at your group mates for answers. Did you imagine things or did you really win? Your expression was so shocked that, at the same time, several fans were already turning into a meme on the social media. Feeling goosebumps come and go through your entire body and a light tug from Soeun on your arm, you got up and went from your table to the stage.
After that, everything went very fast. The leader, Soojin, said gratitude words to the fans, the staffs, everyone who supported the group, promises to continue working hard to deliver a good message through music, etc...
Wonyoung was very proud of you and, as your group came down from the stage and went to a part on the side of it for pictures, Yujin made a joke that she couldn't understand, but it was about the two of you. She looked at Eunbi as if she was seeking approval to come to you, but Eunbi was in a conversation with Nako about the award.
"It was pretty obvious that they were going to win, they are the best!", Yena exclaimed, when a new presentation started.
"You guys make a couple of very powerful maknaes, despite the height difference!", Chaewon whispered, from Wonyoung's left side, making her smile.
A few minutes went by and Wonyoung wanted to be able to go directly to you to congratulate you, even if not in the warm way she would do backstage, with a very tight hug and soft kisses on your lips, calling you "my love". Looking for you at your table, Wonyoung frowned. Your whole group was there, even the prize was there with them, but where were you? Were you at the bathroom?
"Where...", Wonyoung's question died in it's beginning. A few tables on the left, there were you. Holding another girl's hands. And that was enough for Wonyoung to feel her cheeks flush with jealousy and her heart sinking into her chest.
"I can't wait to take several selfies with it! It's so beautiful!", whispered Yein beside you, thinking about the award that was in Soojin's hands.
You nodded as you went up the stairs, until you felt a hand on your shoulder. Turning aroung, shoulders and a smile that formed an enlarged heart were the first things that took over your vision, indicating that the person who called you was tall. You focused your gaze on the face, raising your head, and realized that the owner of the smile was Yeeun, as known as J, a member of StayC. And your friend and classmate.
"Hey!", she greeted you, still smiling, and held your hands. "You rocked up there! I only got time to listen to your group's album yesterday, but it's really good! Congratulations on the award!"
"Oh, thank you so much!", you came a little closer to her to allow the girls to go up the narrow stairs. "I'm in love with your album too. ASAP always manages to make me very happy, even on days when my mood is not... good."
You were not praising each other for no reason, you had known each other long enough to not need formal praises.
"I know how hard you and your group worked for it and it was really deserved.", she had a caring glow in her eyes. "I know I haven't been on this idol journey for a long time but if you need anything, I'm here. I know there may be some difficulties but we will get through them together!"
"You can count on me too, Yeeun. This is not easy at all, but we are managing to achieve our dream almost together! Can you believe it?", you said, smiling excitedly.
Until you felt the lighting of the place get a little darker.
Yeeun's eyes landed on a spot above your head. You turned around to see the reason why there was a shadow on you, and there she was. Your girlfriend.
Yeeun greeted Wonyoung, bowing, while she was standing there, beautiful and in that black outfit full of sparkles that left you mesmerized since the beginning of her presentation.
"Hello, bab-sun-babe-nim!", you stuttered, impacted by the beauty of your girlfriend.
Almost calling her "babe", you tried to fix it by calling her (actually trying to call her) sunbaenim. Even though Yeeun knew about your relationship (you had already told her since you were friends), you didn't want any strangers to know. And that place was full of cameras and ears everywhere. It was risky. But your correction to the soft nickname you used to call her only made Wonyoung raise an eyebrow. There was something in her eyes and you knew it wasn't because of the makeup.
Yeeun greeted her and Wonyoung used a polite education towards the girl of almost the same height, differentiating by a few centimeters almost imperceptible, but that, with you between them, made you look much younger than them, even though the three of us had almost the same age.
Wonyoung praised StayC's performance and Yeeun thanked her before saying bye to you both and heading to the table where her group was at.
You raised your hand to Wonyoung's but the tall girl crossed her arms.
"Hey, what's up?", you asked.
"Nothing.", her tone was harsh and you felt a small pain your in your chest, but she had a smile on her face. A fake smile. "I wanted to be the first to congratulate you, but someone has already done that.", The smile was still on her face, for the cameras, but the tone of voice was still kinda rude towards you. "I can't even hold your hands without hear you saying that some people might be surprised by it, but apparently it's just with me. But, congratulations on the award, Y/N. It was well deserved. The girls and I congratulate your group.", she turned and started walking in towards Izone's table.
"Hey, what's up, Wonnie?", you asked, hurrying to catch up with her, but keeping an expression of false happiness on your face.
"Nothing.", her tone of voice cut into your heart, she hadn't even bothered to turn around.
"Hey, you know I can't keep up with your stride, that's not fair."
She stopped on the stairs, in the corridor that led to where her group's table was, turning to you and you almost ran into her, taking a few steps back.
"Just don't!", her gaze on you was as hard as her voice, but the smile was wide open on her face, it was petrified there.
You stopped as you watched your girlfriend move on without looking back.
"I can really do whatever tomorrow morning, I don't care, I just need to get this sorted out as soon as possible."
"I just think it's too late for you to go there...", Soojin had some concern in her voice.
"Have you texted her yet?", Jiyoon asked, stretched out on the living room floor.
"Several times and she doesn't answer nor even reply my texts since yesterday.", you paced back and forth in front of the television.
"If you keep walking like this, we'll find petroleum," said Soeun.
You sat on the floor next to Jiyoon.
"None of the girls answer you?", asked Seojeong, stretching.
"Hyewon replied that she is in a bad mood and locked herself in the room after dinner."
"What did you do, huh?", Yein asked.
"I don't know!", you almost shout, hiding your face in your hands.
"Oh, go on then because one in a bad mood is one thing but two in bad mood in different groups is a punishment! Go, go!", Soojin pulled you by the arm to get up and started pushing you towards the door .
"But what about the manager..."
"We'll find a way to cover you up, don't worry!", Seojeong said and Soojin closed the door.
You went down the stairs, calling an uber.
"Do you know how late it is?", asked Hyewon, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
"I know you don't usually sleep early, Hyewon. But it's a life-and-death situation!", you replied while removing your shoes in the lobby, only your socks on your feet.
"Death for whom? Only if it is for us, right? The sour mood she was in... I asked if she wanted salad and she almost killed me with her eyes!", with a tone of indignation, Sakura started to speak. "What did you do, huh?"
"I don't know!", you were about to cry. "Can I go and talk to her?"
The two girls nodded and you crossed the room to the hall like a bullet. When you opened the door, the room was dark and you already knew the way to Wonyoung's bed because you visited her sometimes. But instead of lying down, you knelt beside the bed, even in the dark, and whispered her name. You wanted to hold her hand but you were afraid. If she was upset with you, she probably wouldn't want you even there.
"Wonyoung?", you called again, this time in a louder tone.
"I can't believe you came here even after I treated you like that."
You didn't understand what the phrase meant.
"Can I lie down?", you asked, receiving in response Wonyoung moving her body to give you some space.
You embraced her in a hug, hoping she wouldn't reject it, even with her back to you. Again, her answer did not come in words. She held your arm around her.
"What did I do? Tell me so I won't repeat it.", your face was on her back.
"I'm feeling ashamed."
"Of me?"
"No! Of you??? Never! I'm ashamed of myself. I can't even look at you...", she confessed.
You were still confused, but you hugged her tighter. You wanted her to feel you there.
"You don't have to. You didn't do anything wrong, Wonnie..."
You heard a loudest sigh and she turned to you, resting her hand on your neck and touching your foreheads.
"I... I was an idiot. You, your group, had just won one of the most important awards of the night! I myself know how it feels to win it, I know how rewarding it is and... at the moment I-I didn't support you because I was... jealous.", you knew you shouldn't interrupt her, she was venting out. "I wish I could've hugged you and praised you... I feel so proud of you and everyting that you have achieved... but I saw you with that girl and she was holding your hands and she was smiling with such affection, I don't know what I was feeling other than jealousy.", her voice showed a little bit of anger and fragility but she kept her hand on your neck, caressing it. "I was wondering if she was special enough to show affection like that in front of so many cameras... if you liked tall maknaes and...", at that moment you laughed. "Hey, don't laugh! This is not funny at all!", she slapped you lightly on the shoulder.
"No, babe, what's funny is that you think I could have eyes for anyone but you."
"Yeah, you go ahead and think it's funny! And if it were me with, I don't know, a short maknae like you, holding her hands, wouldn't you be jealous when you saw it from a distance, without having an idea of what's going on? Would it be funny?"
"Yah! I get it! Don't even make me think of you with someone else.", you took her wrist and stroked it. "Yeeun is just a friend from school and she was congratulating me. There was nothing else. There would never be. She knows about us and gives the greatest support! I just didn't get to introduce you decently because there is never enough time. I want you to see that you don't have to feel jealous because you are the only tall maknae I love. I love you. "
"I'm sorry for ruining everything and making you come here almost at the dawn. You shouldn't have come so late!", she pulled you into a tight hug. "But at the same time I'm so glad and relieved you came.", she whispered that last sentence.
"I would come at anytime.", you whispered back, kissing her cheek.
"It's too late for you to leave. What are you going to do? We can arrange everything for you to stay.", you were going to talk but Wonyoung wouldn't let you. "We can really work it out, make up a very good lie for the managers, take you back to the dorm quickly tomorrow very early. I imagine you have a lot of commitments now that you've won the award but... it's so late... and I want you to stay with me."
"Okay, I'll stay.", you replied, without thinking. "But I need some clothes to sleep."
"Okay, you can borrow Nako's pajamas."
"Hey!"
"I'm kidding!", Wonyoung laughed. "You can borrow one of mine. It'll be huge on you, but you look beautiful anyway."
Embarrassed, you hid your face on her neck and felt her presence for a while, a warm embrace full of a young love that was blooming beautifully. The next day, you would have to deal with your manager scolding you a lot, knowing he would be right, but for now, you would enjoy your time with Wonyoung. Whatever happened next, it wouldn't matter. What mattered now was to be with the only tall maknae that you loved with all your heart.

soulmate | lee seokmin
❀ → genre: fluff | best friend love |
❀ → synopsis: Seokmin is your soulmate, but people don´t seem to understand the right definition of one.
❀ → pairing: lee seokmin x female reader
❀ → warnings!: | I think there´s cursing, I don´t remember sorry :( | English is clearly not my first language so excuse any grammar mistakes.
❀ → word count: 3.3K
❀ → note: I got 100% inspired from vmin videos to do this.
"I'm scared of love."
You said as you stared at the white ceiling of Seokmin's room. It was Sunday midnight when you appeared on his door saying that you were mad at your roomie and didn't want to see her in some time. He, being the good friend he is, let you in and even made you a cup of coffee.
"You should."
He responded. He was sitting beside you, Nintendo Switch on his hands while he played Animal Crossing.
"Really?"
"Well, depends, if we're talking about romantic love, yeah, kinda, but if we're talking about the other love, no, not really."
You nodded and yawned. Both of you stayed quiet for a while, the silence was actually really comfortable, just the sound of breathing was able to be heard. Then a new topic came into your mind.
"Jiyoon likes you."
"Yeah, I know, she confessed to me."
You raised your eyebrow in surprise.
"How?"
"The classic card pasted with tape into a snack."
"Are you going to date her?"
You looked at him and he just shakes his head.
"Why?"
He giggled.
"I talked to her afterward and she said that she didn't confess earlier cause she thought I liked you."
You scrunched your nose and shook your head aggressively.
"Yeah, I told her that it was like it would be like dating my dog or something."
You frowned.
"Your dog?"
He nodded and looked at you.
"You are kinda small, cute and aggressive when I try to take your food, you're also really protective when someone insults me and you like when people pat your bead or caress your hair. It's kinda like a dog."
You gave him a killing gaze.
"I'm not an animal, I have a common sense and I can talk."
He shrugged yet again.
"Details."
You rolled your eyes and looked at him again.
"So you aren't going to date her because she thought you liked me?"
He stayed quiet for some seconds, trying to remember what he was talking about.
"Oh! Nah, she also said she got jealous when I hanged out with you and I'm not up for toxic people."
He simply responded. You smoked and lightly slapped his leg.
"That's my Seokmin."
He laughed.
"What are you talking about? The one that always gets into toxic relationships it's you."
You frowned again and slapped his leg again, but this time harder.
"We don't talk about exes on this Christian household."
"This is my house, and I'm not a Christian."
You whined.
"You ruined my joke."
He laughed and poked your cheek.
"It wasn't funny anyway."
You stared at him in silence for some seconds, just for then talking yet again.
"And you're the one I call my soul mate."
You said in between teeth.
"You'll never meet a better guy than me."
He winked at you and you just kicked his chest, making his back hit the wall.
"Ouch?"
You stuck your tongue out in a goofy way, he just giggled and took his sight back to his game. You stared at the ceiling again and began to get sleepy, but just before you closed your eyes to maybe fall asleep, he talked.
"Maybe we should stop using the term 'soulmates' to refer to our friendship."
He murmured. You frowned with your eyes half-closed.
"Why?"
"People keep mistaking the term."
"And? They're dumb for thinking that a soulmate has to be your lover."
You answered. He sighed and placed the console away, then he laid beside you.
"I don't understand how we suit each other so well."
"Hm... I don't know, I try not to question it and just enjoy the fact that I got the luck to find someone like you so soon. People take their whole lives finding their soulmates and other times they can't find them even in their next lives."
You yawned again and moved to place your head on his tummy, using it as a pillow, you looked at his face and poked his cheek.
"I'm going to kill you if you can't find me in our next life."
He laughed.
"Why should I find you?"
"Cause I found you in this life, so it'll be your turn."
"We found each other."
"No, I was the one that approached you in middle school, so I technically found you."
He rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Let's just find each other, it would be easier if we both look that just one."
You thought about it for some seconds.
"Okey, just because I know you are going to get lost or something."
You both giggled and stayed silent when the noise faded away after some time. You sniffed and closed your eyes.
"Seokmin."
You called him.
"Yeah?"
"Don't leave me."
He chuckled and placed a hand in the top of your head, caressing your forehead slightly.
"I won't leave you if you don't leave me."
"Deal."
After that final short conversation, both of you fell asleep in that kinda uncomfortable position. But you didn't care, the way your bodies felt was not important when your feelings we're so calm and you felt so emotionally comfortable in that small bed. The body warmth of both of you made it feel better.
It was always like that. It wasn't important how mad, sad or exhausted you felt when you went to see Seokmin and talked about it with him it felt like everything faded away, and you knew he felt the same way towards you.
You always knew that the friendship between you two was different, but not in a romantic way, you just felt better around him than anyone else. That's when Minghao kicked in and told you that it could be because 'maybe he is your soulmate.'
Back then, you had the image of a soulmate that everyone else has. The love of your life and the person you're going to marry and live happily. But the boy explained to you that a soulmate was a person that was compatible with you in a different way than anyone else, it could be a friendship or a romantic relationship, it didn't matter.
As you had already said, you met Seokmin in middle school, both of you were the 'new kids' so you decided to approach him because that way you wouldn't be anxious about him telling his friends how awkward you were around new people. You weren't shy or introverted when you were in your comfort zone or somewhere you were used to, but if you were in a totally new environment around people you don't know, you turned into a ball of panic. So you thought that approaching someone that was at the same level as you could be better, and it was.
Seokmin was really shy the first month, but after some time you two clicked instantly, you made more friends by yourselves but never stopped talking out of the school or by message and during a school project, you needed to be in the same group.
You loved Seokmin and you knew he loved you back, you both loved each other in a form that you both knew you couldn't love anyone else, and it was okay. There are all kinds of love, and even though you haven't met anyone else that you felt the same affection as you did towards him didn't mean you weren't going to be able to have a romantic relationship.
There has to be someone that understands that even though you are dating them, doesn't mean you are going to stop being friends with Seokmin. Someone that understands that the kind of love you two shared wasn't the same as the life you have towards your couple.
People should stop thinking of every couple of good friends it's a couple of lovers because it could cause awkwardness between both of them, and even though it didn't happen with you, it did happen to one of your friends.
Seokmin was your soul mate, not your lover, not your boyfriend neither your hook up, and people needed to understand that.
════════════════════════ ════════════════════════
"C'mon! We want to be there before midnight."
Hollered Seokmin's mother. Since summer vacations we're already there and you usually did nothing but lay in bed and watch the same series and dramas, Seokmin decided it would be a nice idea to invite you to his grandmother's farm. His mom had just picked you up and brought you to their place since Seokmin woke up late and hadn't finished packing.
Some minutes later the brown-haired boy came out with a big suitcase and a black backpack.
"Finally."
You huffed. His mom helped him put his suitcase and backpack inside the car while he locked the house door correctly.
You remained in the back seat of the van, looking at the movements of the Lee's through the window.
Once they finished they got inside the van and turned on the vehicle to make their way to their destiny.
"Hey, y/n."
Seokmin called your name and you looked at him, making a small noise that meant a "what".
"Seungkwan is also coming."
You frowned and crossed your arms.
"Why didn't you told me? That way I could've brought more snacks, now he is going to eat them all."
You whined while hugging the medium-sized tote bag that contained all the snacks you had brought for the road. Seokmin told you to bring for everyone since he was going to be the one paying for gasoline and stuff, but he never told you Seungkwan was going too.
He laughed and stretched his arm, placing his hand on top of your head.
"It's okay, we can buy more when we stop by a gas station."
"Okey, but if he eats all of my gummy worms and there's no more on a gas station, we are going to have a dead body to bury, and you are going to crave the whole it."
He giggled and nodded.
"Okey then."
The car stayed silent for a couple of minutes until Seokmin's mom decided to turn the stereo on and play a cd. You didn't recognize the music but it was nice.
You just hoped to not get that bored because if you did, the trip was going to be ages long.
════════════════════════ ════════════════════════
It was already 8 pm and there were still some hours of road to come. Seungkwan was on one of the single seats doing something you didn't really care about in his phone and Seokmin was on the back seats with you, he decided to change place when he got bored of being "alone" on the front, his head in one of your thighs while he played smash bros on his Nintendo Switch. He has offered you to play but you decided that you would do it later since you were really enjoying the landscape, but no that the sand had gone down, you only saw darkness which was freaking you out a bit, you didn't like the dark, yes, at your 20's you were still afraid of it.
"Hey, Min."
You called him and moved your keg slightly for him to pay attention to you and take out his earphones.
"What's up?"
He asked while taking one of the earphones out of his... Well, ear.
"Let's play smash."
"Yeah, let me just finish this match."
He responded, still focused on the screen. You nodded and took your gaze away from him to look at Seungkwan, now his phone was turned off and he was looking outside.
"Hye."
The boy called Seokmin's mother's name.
"Yeah?"
"If you see someone struggling with their car or something, please don't stop to help them."
The woman laughed.
"Why?"
"That's how people disappear and I'm too young to die, I haven't finished my career yet."
This time you joined the laughter. What Seungkwan said was right, but the tone he was saying it it was goofy and playful, which made the situation funny.
"What are we laughing about?"
Asked Seokmin, taking his head off of your thigh and sitting down beside you.
"Seungkwan."
"We're laughing at him or with him?"
You shrugged.
"Both."
"Hey!"
He turned and looked at you with a killing gaze.
"Don't give me that look, Hye laughed too."
Seungkwan grabbed a bag of chips and threw it towards you, hitting your face.
"Oh you didn't"
You took off your seat belt and threw the chips bag harder.
"At least hit me with quality!"
He opened his mouth and frowned.
"Veggie chips are super good!"
"No, they're not, they taste like fried broccoli."
"Have you tried friend broccoli?"
"No, but if I do, I know it would taste like that, disgusting!"
"You should respect each other's opinions."
Murmured Seokmin.
"Shut up!"
Seungkwan and you hollered just for then looking at each other and smiling while high fiving. You heard Hye's laugh and you giggled.
"I bet your mom is having a great time."
"Oh, she better be, she was whining all week telling me that she was going to miss a Knowing Bro's episode and I told her that having you two in a car was going to be a comedy."
"You calling us clowns?"
Asked Seungkwan.
"I mean, we are, but you are one too."
You said pointing at Seokmin. He frowned and turned off his console.
"Well, I'm a fancy circus one, y'all are children party ones."
You slightly punched his arm and Seungkwan threw him the now beaten up bag of chips while he laughed. You smiled and rolled your eyes.
"So, are we playing smash?"
"Oh, no, I ran out of battery."
You pressed your lips together, making a straight line.
"Ok, now you gotta distract me cause we are surrounded by darkness and your girl doesn't like darkness."
"Oh, about that."
He said while leaning over to the front seats, graving his backpack and opening it, taking out what it seemed like a white bear.
"Here."
He sat down back in your side and extended you the bear. Your frowned graving it and tilted your head.
"What's this?"
"Press the belly."
You did as he said and instantly, the white plastic stomach of the bear light up, making you jump.
"I knew you were scared of the dark and the farm is usually dark at night because grandma likes saving power by turning off the transformer at night, so I bought you this."
You made a small pout and leaned over to hug him.
"You truly are my soulmate."
You said against his chest. He laughed and patted your hair.
"I swear that if I didn't know both of you I'd think y'all are dating."
You frowned and pushed yourself away from Seokmin, looking at Seungkwan with a deadly gaze.
"You are making it too hard for y/n not to kill you Boo Seungkwan."
He raised an eyebrow
"Like she could."
You gasped and placed a hand in your chest, indignation filling your body.
"Are you underestimating my homicidal tendencies and skills?"
"Kinda, yeah."
“Oh, you shouldn't, she's small but she once almost broke a guy's arm on a club.”
“Evidence.”
Said the boy sticking his hand out towards Seokmin.
“You expect me to record while my best friend almost gets sued for physical abuse?”
“Evidence or fake.”
“I have none.”
“Then she did nothing and I would beat her ass in a fight.”
"Hye, stop the car, I'm throwing some hands with his guy."
You said as you rolled up the sleeves of your long-sleeved shirt.
"Oh my God, can we go back to the cute environment that we had ten seconds ago?"
Asked Hye looking at all of you through the rearview.
The three of you looked at each other.
“Nah.”
The three of you said at the same time just for then continue arguing about who would win in a fight between you and Seungkwan.
Hye sighed and giggled while slightly shaking his head. About thirty minutes later and some snack throwing, Seungkwan ended up falling asleep. Seokmin had his headphones on and was watching a movie that he had downloaded on his phone for the trip.
You were caressing the fur of the plushie that has it's tummy light up in a soft yellowish color.
“Seokmin.”
You called him while still looking at the plushie. Since the volume of his phone wasn't high he could listen to you, so he hummed in response.
“I don't like the fact that I got way too used to being all the time with you.”
You said while frowning, still caressing the soft fur.
“Why?”
“Because there's gonna be a day where we both get married and have children and won't have as much as time as we have right now. And when I think about it, it kinda scares me. I mean, what if I feel too pressured and can't talk to you and all of that just transforms into a ball of feelings I can't express because I'm scared of what they'll say. You're the only person I know for sure won't judge me.”
He stayed quiet for some seconds.
“Well... We can always text or call, there's always a way.”
You sighed, not convinced with his answer. He smiled slightly and placed a hand on top of your head, caressing and making it lean into his shoulder.
“Don't think about that right now, there's still plenty of time for that if you think about it now and stress about it would do everything but good to your little head.”
He said while caressing your hair.
“Sometimes I feel that you treat me like a child.”
“You are a kid on my eyes, like a little sister I have to take care of.”
You chuckled and yawned.
“I'm older than you.”
“4 months doesn't count.”
“It does.”
You couldn't see him, but you knew he had rolled his eyes.
“But you are as stubborn as a kid.”
“It's part of my beauty.”
“Sure.”
He was the one that chuckled this time. Both of you stayed silent again until you broke the silence.
“Seokmin”
“Yeah?”
“If you have kids first then I do, which I know is gonna happen, would you let me choose the name of one?”
“Sure.”
Silence again, but as always, you couldn't be quiet for long.
“Seokmin.”
He giggled.
“Yeah?”
“Do you love me?”
“Of course.”
“How much?”
“Isn't that too cliché?”
“Just answer.”
He huffed.
“You can't measure love in numbers, if I could say how much I love you it would still be short.”
“Yeah, that is cliché.”
Both if you silently laughed to not wake Seungkwan up.
“What about you! How much do you love me?”
“Hm... I love you more than I love gummy worms.”
“Oh my God, really?”
“Don't get too noisy about it or I'll love you as much as I love veggie chips.”
“Rude.”
“You're rude too.”
“No, I'm not.”
“Yes, you are, you didn't play Smash Bros with me.”
“You told me too late and the first time I asked you declined.”
You crossed your arms.
“Then you say you're not like a child.”
“I never said I'm not.”
“But- you know what? Let's just sleep.”
You chuckled and grabbed his arm, putting it around your shoulders and leaning into him. Then you remembered you hadn't thanked him for the small gift he had given you.
“Seokmin.”
You called ones last time.
“Yes?”
“Thanks for the bear.”
He hummed in response and closed his eyes. You yawned and closed your eyes as well, falling asleep in a lapse of 30 seconds in a kinda uncomfortable position that both of you always ended up in, but made it feel as cozy as a bed. It wasn't about the situation, place, or environment if you had a huge affection and love towards the person you were with, even the coldest place would feel like home.

Genre: Idol!Johnny, Idol!FemReader
Member: NCT Johnny x Female Reader
Word Count: 2.2k
Summary: In which after your first encounter at an award show, Johnny starts to take an interest in you.
A/N: This is my first fan fiction/AU (?) ever, so i hope you do enjoy it. Also, this was originally supposed to be a Johnny x OC but i decided to change it to a Johnny x Reader.
“...And I promise that we will work harder from now, to make our fans extra proud of us.” She bowed down at 90 degrees as finished the speech, thanking the audience quietly and smiling brightly as they clapped and cheered out for her. The award grasped tightly in another one of your member's hand, the name still standing out brightly, ‘Artist Of The Year’.
You stood still and you held your sobbing group member in your arms as another member took to the mic to talk about your hardships since the beginning and how thankful you all were to all your fans and the people that have supported you since the start - you were slightly shocked she even thanked the haters for helping you get to where you are.
You smiled out into the crown, your eyes a little glossy as you refused to cry in front of masses of people staring at you - you were known for that, not crying. You were the emotionless, mysterious member of the group; some people even made jokes that you cried ugly or that you were part of the mafia, which was why so little was known about you. All you did was laugh it off.
Now as you stood on stage, a sobbing 22-year-old in your arms, having won an award many idols can just dream of, you didn’t know if you had the willpower to not cry.
You watched as your members finished giving their speeches and bowed at the crowd as they clapped. You gently pushed her away from you and wiped her tears away. “Jiyoon bro,” you grinned at her, “we just won an award, no more crying, yeah?”
She nodded, sniffling a little, and directed a small smile towards you, which you returned. You grabbed her hand and faced the audience who had watched the whole ‘escapade’ go down and aimed a forced smile at them, your own eyes still slightly blurry with the tears you refused to spill. You looked up and blinked a few times continuously, getting rid of the tears.
You bowed down at the crowd with your members, still holding Jiyoon’s hand as tightly as you could, you were sure you were going to get a little telling off as soon as you sat down in your seats away from the prying eyes of the other idols (most of them anyway).
You looked back up as your group started walking off the stage, still holding Jiyoon’s hand, staring down at your feet intently as you walked, afraid that you’d trip and make a laughing stock of yourself in these 6-inch heels that you were forced to wear - you could barely walk in them for god's sake.
“I can’t believe you actually listened to her and wore those hideous heels,” Jiyoon grimaced, referencing your horrible stylist, in a low voice as you both walked back to your seats.
“I really had no choice, it was either put them on myself or have them forced on me by some 40-year-old woman,” you replied, “should have seen the glare she gave me when I told her I wasn’t the best at walking in heels, she was about to bury me six feet under, alive at that too,” you added, placing the blanket you had been given over both your laps as soon as you sat down, keeping your eyes on the stage in front of you, trying to give your best reactions to the group performing on stage.
Jiyoon scooted closer to you, making sure the blanket covered both of your legs fully before speaking again, already giggling at what she was about to say. You should wear heels more often, you're finally tall. It looks good on you my friend.” Giving you an exaggerated smile and a pat on the back, she returned her attention to the stage.
You gave her a playful glare, “Can’t believe we’re friends,” you mumbled, shaking your head at her antics, the grin on her face growing wider indicating that she had heard you,
Both of you immersed yourself with the performance that was going on stage, your group member, Ava, and you coincidentally slapping Jiyoon on her thighs when KARD’s BM ripped his shirt off in the middle of his collaboration stage, Monsta X’s Shownu and Exo’s Kai and Chanyeol following shortly after. You were sure your reaction would be used for one of those videos you always saw going around, the title of the video already floating around in your mind, ‘Enigma’s Y/N Loves Those Abs?!’ you giggled lightly at that. Your fandom had an unusual way of naming videos, that, you could agree with any day.
A nudge in your side brought you back to reality as Jiyoon pointed at the big monitor by the stage, which was playing a replay of Ava and your reaction to the stage, causing you to blush slightly. Embarrassed, you lifted the blanket on your lap and held it in front of your face with one hand, fanning your self with the other, you were sure your face had gone beet red.
You heard laughing and slowly lowed the blanket placing it back on your lap as you leaned forward, glaring playfully at your members.
“Oh shut up, don’t tell me you didn't enjoy it either,” you paused and mouthed,” They were HOT,” you fanned yourself for extra measure (and to also make sure they understood what you were saying). Your members rolled their eyes, shaking their head at your antics. You shook your head back at them, moving to sit back in your seat comfortably, leaning back and watching the performances, dancing the choreography in the limited space you had or just mouthing the lyrics and clapping your hands to the beat when the cameras came around to record your reactions.
Some time had passed, more awards were given out and more performances had taken place and you and your group members were getting more tired and bored. They even showed your leader, Soyeon, yawning during the performance of a popular group; that was something your group and the people sitting around you had a good giggle about as your leader shied away from in embarrassment.
You wished something exciting would happen soon, or you were going to end up falling asleep from boredom. You never did like attending award shows, this was the first time in 4 years you had done so - back then your fans argued that they (award shows) were always doing you wrong, as during the voting for the awards you were leading in the first place, but those awards were given to other people. You would be lying if you said you weren't even a tiny bit upset, but you couldn't blame the groups.
Looking down at the mini screen placed on your table, you noticed the time and cheered quietly, nudging Jiyoon who in return nudged Ava, both turning to look at you. You pointed towards the time on the screen and they both widened their eyes.
“Guys, the break starts in a few.” you cheered.
“The break was supposed to start half an hour ago,” someone from behind you spoke up. The three of you turned around and simultaneously bowed your head at the stranger, who continued to speak, “The time on the monitor is 30 minutes behind, at this rate no one knows when they're going to announce the break.”
Confusion struck you and you furrowed your brows at the stranger.
“Sorry?”
He took out his phone and turned it on, holding it out to you. You were sure he intended to show you the time, which was indeed half an hour ahead, but you couldn't help noticing his lock screen - the literal back of an iPhone - which caused you to burst out in a giggle but you quickly covered it with a cough, which quickly turned into a fit. Ava and Jiyoon leaned over to have a look at what had caused to go into a coughing fit but he had taken the phone away and slid it into his blazer pocket before they could see.
You placed your hand on your chest, patting harshly to calm yourself. You bowed your head at the male sitting behind you before turning to face your group mates.
“He’s right. They moved the clocks back,” you said, defeated, slumping into the sofa. Jiyoon patted your back in sympathy. “Now we’ll never get a break, and I’ll be bored for the rest of eternity,” you called out dramatically.
You turned around again, hoping to talk a little more to the male behind you and maybe get to know his name, but he wasn't there; it was someone else. Before you were able to question the whereabouts of the stranger sitting there before, the one present spoke up.
“Names Mark,” he said suddenly in English, putting his hand out. You clasped his hand in both of your giving it a firm shake before letting go and aiming a warm smile at him.
“I’m Y/N,” you responded.
“Yo, you know English?” he questioned you, sounding a little bit too excited, placing his hand in front of his mouth as he leaned back, in what you assumed was shock.
“Yeah,” you nodded your head at him, hoping to turn around and end the conversation as quickly as possible.
“Where are you from,” he questioned, once again before you could fully turn around, “America? Australia? Canada?” He added, continuing to list of different English speaking countries.
“The UK,” you answered him briefly, cutting his rambling off in the process.
His lips formed an ‘O’ as he nodded his head slowly.
“But where in the UK?”
“England”
“Ohhhhh, I thought I sensed a British accent.”
You raised your eyebrow at him or at least tried to. He laughed when he noticed your facial expression.
“Hey, I’d be raising my eyebrow at you if I could Mark.” You said, squinting your eyes at him, in return he just laughed. You smiled at him, finding his laugh to be a little contagious.
You turned around, fully, placing your right leg under your left thigh, trying to get comfortable before realising you were very much still at an award show and then resorting to placing your legs at an angle as you continued to talk to Mark.
“Where are you from?” You questioned him.
“Canada.”
He was quick to reply and you were sure he had been waiting for you to ask him that question as soon as you had started talking to him. You simply smiled at the male, nodding your head again, wondering why it hadn't fallen off with all the nodding you were doing.
“If I'm not being rude, may I ask what group you're from?” You spoke., studying his features as he stared at you, that stupid smile glued to his face.
he nodded his head, before holding his hand out again. You held it, shaking it slowly as he talked.
“Hi, I’m NCT’s Mark,” he responded, holding your hand firmly, still shaking it.
You nodded again, “I’m-”
“Your Enigma’s Y/N,” he cut you off, “I know what group you're from.”
You bowed your head, giving him a bright smile and letting go of his hand.
“So you know my group but not my name and where I'm from?” You question him playfully.
He raised his hands in mock surrender and opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by an approaching figure.
“Mark, move over.”
You looked over at the person who had just approached and realised it was the guy from earlier (the one who had ruined your mood by telling you that there probably wasn't going to be a break throughout the award show anytime soon). You gave him a small and quick bow hoping to turn around before Mark started speaking but of course, you were hit with bad luck.
You stared at Mark as he moved over, giving the guy some room to sit back down before talking again.
“Johnny Hyung, this is Y/N,” he continued to speak in English, to which Johnny raised an eyebrow before nodding slowly. He stared at you for a short while and there was no way you were looking away first so you stared back, sending a small, awkward smile his way, to reduce the awkwardness between the two of you.
“I’m Johnny,” he spoke out suddenly. in an American accent, startling you. You jumped a little as Mark started laughing, throwing his body everywhere and you suddenly felt sorry for the boy sitting next to him, who suddenly had to hold his weight as he was cracking himself up.
“Hyung...Suddenly..” he started before losing it, leaning against the other guy as he continued laughing,” I’m Johnny,” he said once he’d calmed down a little, shrugging his shoulders and pushing his head forward.
You smiled at his antics before shaking your head and smiling.
A light continuous tapping caused you to turn your head, only to come face to face with your leader who looked at you questioningly. You gave her a small smile and looked around confused as you noticed that many people were starting to stand up.
“It’s the break,” Soyeon said, answering your unasked question, “It’ll only last for around 30 minutes, I think, so if you want something time to get it now.”
Your lips formed an ‘O’ shaped as you nodded your head slowly.
“Can we get something to eat?” You asked her, as your stomach let out a small growl. It was speaking to you, begging for food, and you couldn't deprive it of the one thing it had only, always wanted.
Soyeon nodded before taking your hand in hers and pulling you up.
You glanced at the two boys, giving a quick nod of the head and smiling at them, even waving at them as you walked off with your leader, in the quest to get some food - in those godforsaken heels of yours.

CHASING HONGBIN - CHAPTER 12
I know it's been forever and a DAY since I updated this fic but I was finally able to finish the chapter. Hopefully now that this chapter is out of the way, my brain can relax and I can write more for it. Just lemme know what you think and if you liked it~ I hope everyone has a good day!
🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊
In a matter of seconds, Hongbin's lips covered yours. This definitely wasn't the barely-there kiss he'd given you last night. No....this was slow, deliberate, and sensual. His lips moved slowly over yours and his hand cupped your cheek as he moved forward. You returned the kiss this time and you heard him growl for the second time since you'd known him. His free hand wrapped around your back and pulled you closer to him. He was still kneeling in front of you and now you were teetering on the edge of the sofa. Even with him on the floor, he still towered over you.
You jumped when his tongue glided over your lips. The feeling brought you back to reality and you pulled away slightly, desperate for air. His face was still inches from yours and you could see the soft glow from his orange eyes. He took a deep breath and spoke.
"Please tell me you'll let me do that again."
-------------------
Deep-rooted fear bubbled to the surface and it made you realize what you had done. Your mind raced and you couldn't focus. Standing abruptly, you moved away from Hongbin. He stood slowly, confused at your reaction but noticing that your emotions were in an uproar.
"What's wrong?"
"I....I shouldn't have done that. Um.....I need to.....yeah, I need to prepare for....work."
"But you don't have to go until a couple more days." He moved toward you and you backed away immediately.
"I....I need..." Tears threatened and you felt the world closing in on you. You tried to take deep breaths but you felt like you were suffocating.
"Y/N....let me help--"
"Don't!" You backed up against the wall when he came near you. "Please, don't."
"Y/N? What is it? What did I do?"
Hongbin didn't move, knowing you'd bolt if he did.
"Y/N, talk to me. What is it?"
Your words were stuck in your throat. You couldn't even tell him what you wanted to say. You didn't even know yourself. After he'd kissed you, really kissed you, your mind scrambled to understand why you'd wanted it so badly. Foxes were the enemy. They only wanted to bring pain. You didn't have feelings for one. It went against everything you'd protected yourself from all these years.
You knew you needed to leave. You couldn't stay in this apartment so close to him. You couldn't fall for a fox.
"Y/N.....I'm sorry if I did something you didn't want. Maybe that was too fast. I shouldn't have done that. I'll let you have your space. I've got practice tomorrow so if you need me, just call me. Just.....let me help if you need someone." He hesitated only for a second and then quickly walked out the door.
His last sentence broke the dam and you slid down the wall until you sat slumped on the floor, sobbing. Why was this so hard? He left like you wanted but why did you feel so sad? Why did you feel like your world was falling apart? You'd only known him for barely a week but you knew your heart was attached. But your head was causing the problems. Everything you'd told yourself to keep safe over the years crumbled when you were in his presence. He somehow broke through your guarded walls. But you couldn't let that happen. It was just a temporary feeling. He would get bored with you eventually and you would be alone again. Or, he would realize his instincts as a fox and would come after you.
You needed to quickly find a place to stay. Perhaps the distance from Hongbin would help you stop wanting him around.
-------------------------
Two days later and you hadn't seen Hongbin since he left the apartment. When you left this morning to go to the flower shop, there was a bag hung on the door with different snacks and a sandwich. There were also a couple of candies in the bag so you instantly knew who it was from. You smiled at first but then the sharp pain in your heart returned and a frown took its place. No...you weren't supposed to be happy because of his care. It was temporary.
You quickly walked to the flower shop and looked around for the owner. You finally spotted her in the far corner of the shop arranging some flowers.
"Oh, y/n, I hadn't realized that you'd come in! I'm so glad you're here. I received an order yesterday for a large event and I need your help!" She flitted around the shop like a hummingbird, muttering things as she went. You had never seem someone with so much energy. You honestly had to admit that you liked it. She kept your mind off other....things. The fast paced environment made the time go by quickly. You blinked and it was suddenly lunchtime.
"Whew! That was a large order! That would have taken me all day even if the shop wasn't busy. I daresay you're a perfect fit for this job. We'll close up for lunch so go take a break." She grabbed her phone off the counter and went to the door to switch the sign to closed.
Heading out the door, you went in search of a place to have lunch. You had eaten the sandwich for breakfast but you'd quickly burned through the energy it provided. You stumbled upon a cheap eatery that provided a variety of dishes. Most importantly, they had omurice. Your mouth watered at the thought of perfectly fried rice tucked lovingly inside a fried egg. It had been a while since you'd had one and you felt that today was a perfect excuse to have one.
The place didn't seem too busy and the atmosphere looked welcoming. Stepping inside, you found a small table in the corner and sat down. In no time at all, you had a piping hot place of heaven sitting in front of you. At the risk of burning the insides of your mouth, you began eating right away.
Twenty minutes later, you stepped out of the restaurant full and content. You touched your belly, relishing the fact that you had eaten such a wonderful meal. You knew you would be coming here more often. Heading back down the road, you passed by the alleyway that would lead to the grocery store that Hongbin had taken you to. You forced yourself to avoid looking down the small street. You had been so busy all morning that you hadn't thought of him. You took a deep breath and walked the rest of the way to the flower shop.
"Y/N! Did you find something good to eat?" The owner called out to you as she came down the opposite road towards the shop.
"I did! I found a nice little restaurant!"
"Great!" You smiled at her and followed her back into the shop.
The rest of the day went by quickly. You busied yourself with orders and learning the pricing system. All too soon, it was time to go home.
"Do you live far?"
"No, not really. I'm living with a friend right now but I need to start looking for my own place once I can gather up enough money."
"I can help you look, since you're new here. What exactly are you looking for?"
"It doesn't have to be much, just big enough for me. I live minimally so I don't have very many possessions."
"That shouldn't be too hard to find. I'll let you know if I come across something!" You followed her out the door and waited while she locked the door.
"That would be great, thank you!"
After a bit of discussion, you both parted ways and you headed back towards the apartment. You almost hesitated thinking about whether Hongbin would be there. You knew he would probably object to you getting another place to stay but in all honesty, you couldn't continue to stay at JiYoon's apartment. You needed to be independent and far away from the hybrid world. That was the only way to survive.

The Bias List
@avatarfantxsy @quyennie @despairandjo I decided to just list them. I need to make a separate post for bands tho. (that was a lie almost as fat as me) So in this bias list I will only list groups that I listen to. The last bias list I posted there were a lot of groups that I hadn’t listened to yet so this one will just be the groups I know of. I have a few to add, some I have taken off and I will have a section at the end for potential biases. Also some groups have 2-6 biases. For example I literally can’t choose with UP10TION. And sometimes I go back and forth and members in groups so often I’ve somehow tricked my brain into thinking I have more than one. If it’s confusing I promise the first member of each group on the list is definitely a locked bias. And another thing, if the member is specifically on my list of moms or daddies they wont be on here, unless they both

Part: 1 I 2 I 3 I 4 I 5 I 6 I 7 I 8 I 9 I 10 I 11 I 12 I 13 I Final
**
This was the ultimate adrenaline rush.
Running through the woods with the stars above was definitely a thrill for any average werewolf. That was the time they were one with the forest, truly at home. It was only natural for that to be where a wolf sought solace.
But this. This right here was its own kind of high. With the rumble of the engine vibrating the whole car, Kris felt in complete control. Pushing his foot down on the gas pedal, he revved his motor threateningly, letting his opponent know who the winner would be at the end of this mile.
The flag girl stood safely off to the side, the white polyester cloth held up high for both drivers to see. At the race handler’s signal, she threw the flag in the air and they took off.
Kris nearly cursed to see his opponent had half a car length’s jump on him. Shifting gears, he pushed the pedal down even farther, the engine roaring and straining in protest. But Kris knew his car inside and out. He knew what it could take, having torn the engine apart before rebuilding it to the perfection it was today. And his baby never let him down as he watched the nose of his car inch up to be head to head with his opponent.
Flipping up a hidden switch, Kris pressed that fun little red button, giving him just the boost he needed. The car shot forward thanks to that punch of NOS, propelling him past the other driver and crossing the makeshift finish line.
Victory was his. Little yelps and laughs of celebration escaped his lips as he grinned from ear to ear. As he circled around back to the main area, he parked his car along the rows of other souped-up vehicles. Getting out of the car, he rounded to the front and leaned back against the hood to wait for his payment.
Jimmy, a short bald man and Kris’ fellow Chinese man, came up to him with too much energy. Kris held out his hand for Jimmy to take, pulling him into that classic brother half-hug.
“What’s up, man?” Kris smirked, knowing exactly why Jimmy had come over to him.
“I gotta say, you can race like no one else I’ve ever seen before,” Jimmy praised.
Kris laughed. Little did any of these people know that what made him so good was his werewolf reflexes. His timing was better as well as his ability to process a situation and make a quick decision. Very handy when the race usually only lasts ten seconds or so.
“Just lucky, I guess,” he shrugged.
Jimmy scoffed. “Yeah, right.” He held up a thick roll of cash. “Your take in the winnings, Racer King.”
“Thank you,” Kris grinned, pocketing the money.
“Still not going to count it?” Jimmy sighed.
“Told you,” Kris said as he headed back for the driver’s door, “I don’t do it for the money. It’s just a nice bonus.”
“I’m going to start taking a bigger cut, then,” Jimmy warned.
Kris shook his head. “No, you won’t.”
Even seated inside the car, Kris heard Jimmy mumble playfully, “Punk.”
Taking off down the road, the smile on Kris’ face began to fade.
Illegal street racing wasn’t exactly the safest hobby or activity to partake in, no matter how good and isolated the location was. Years ago, he’d dabbled into it. Until Jiyoon scolded him and made him quit.
Now, almost as soon as he’d settled back down in this town, he’d scoured all over the place to track down the races.
Was he being slightly self-destructive? Not completely. He was safe in how he raced, careful until the finish line.
Was he just running away without going anywhere? Plausible.
The drum-heavy music that blared from his phone mercifully pulled him out of his thoughts. Pressing the phone button on his dash, he answered the call through the Bluetooth set up.
“Yes, Tao?”
“Kris-ge,” the younger wolf whined. “Are you almost home? Sehun and Chanyeol are threatening to leave without you.”
Kris shook his head, exasperated. Twelve was just too many members for a pack. “If they do, they’re on bathroom duty for two weeks.”
Tao repeated Kris’ threat to the others which lead to several unintelligible cries of protest in the background.
“I’m almost there,” Kris groaned. “Hold on for five more minutes. Think you guys can sit still long enough?”
“Sure,” Tao replied. “I can, at least.” There was a pause and Kris almost hung up the call when Tao added, “Hey, Kris? Where you have been going lately? Between you and Junmyeon, I’m getting worried.”
“I’ve just been out running a few errands,” Kris lied, if a little guiltily. He knew if he told the others that he’d been out racing, they’d want to come along to watch. Considering the fact that drag racing in the streets was highly illegal, there was always the chance of the cops coming out and breaking it up and topping it off with a few arrests. Kris didn’t mind if he spent the night in jail, but if the others got locked up with him, Junmyeon would have a fit. Better to keep his brothers out of it. “Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. I’m pulling up into the driveway now.”
“Okay.” Tao hung up without saying goodbye.
Pulling up around back, Kris turned off the engine and sat in his car. Without any prompting the boys ran out the door and huddled around the car’s left side. It was hard, but he resisted rolling his eyes as he got out of the car.
“Let’s go.” He tried his best to not sound as irritated and annoyed as he felt, but considering the questionable glance that Chanyeol gave him, he must have failed. At least tonight, Yixing and Minseok were going with them. That meant they’d be getting back earlier from the run since they had class in the morning and would be more adamant about getting some sleep.
They all headed for the forest, stripping themselves of their clothes to be picked up on the way back.
**
“Are you serious?” Ji Yeon gasped.
By pure luck, after Huan had dropped you off fairly early for class, Ji Yeon had found you just sitting at one of the stone tables in the courtyard as you waited for it to be an appropriate time to head to class. The two of you were quick to exchange numbers and then you told her about your ordeal on the way home the previous night.
“I knew yesterday was just going way too well for me,” you laughed, shaking your head.
“Where did you take your car?” Ji Yeon asked.
You frowned as you thought to remember. “Um, it was called Lang Auto Shop?”
Ji Yeon’s eyes lit up. “Really? I know the guy that owns that place! You, ma’am, are in very good hands. He’s a magician when it comes to cars. And, he won’t overcharge you. That is the real magic.”
You couldn’t help but giggle. The picture forming in your head was of a kind old man with a too-long beard that felt like everyone’s grandfather.
All too soon, it was time for both of you to get to class. Luck seemed to be on your side as your lecture halls were right next to each other, giving you a little more time to talk before you had to separate. Unfortunately, your schedules didn’t match up for the rest of the day, but Ji Yeon promised to text you to set a time for lunch tomorrow.
The rest of your school day was spent with your mind pacing back and forth. You wanted to focus on the lectures and PowerPoints that occupied your class time, but you were worried about your car. Two different people had sworn up and down that the owner of the body shop was a fair mechanic, but there was only so much they could do if your engine needed a part that cost more than a grand. The move had put a dent into your savings as well as Huan’s and the last thing you needed was a hefty mechanical bill.
Finally, the time for Huan to come pick you up from the university and take you to the shop had come. You had to miss out on your last class of the day to make it before the shop closed, but you figured one missed session early in the semester wouldn’t hurt you.
Hopping into the passenger’s seat of his well washed black Mercedes, you leaned over the middle console and gave your fiancé an appreciative kiss before greeting him. “Hi.”
“Hi,” he purred back, stealing another kiss. “How was your day?”
You shrugged. “Fine. It’d be better if I wasn’t panicking over my car, but, you know, life.”
Huan just laughed at you. “Yeah, life does that.” As you put your seat belt on, he turned to the GPS, “Okay, what was the name of the shop?”
“Lang Auto Shop.”
Just like you, Huan seemed to find the name strange, but interesting.
It only took about fifteen or twenty minutes to get to the shop from the school. Huan parked right outside the garage doors and both of you got out to find an employee.
“Can I help you?” One of the mechanics approached you, wiping his hands on an already dirty rag. The patch on his coveralls said “Brian”. He certainly looked like a Brian with his blonde hair and cheerful grin.
“Yeah, my fiancé’s car broke down last night and she had it towed here,” Huan explained. “She left the spare keys with a note about what happened and so we were just seeing if there was any update on that or if you were able to even get to it.”
Brian nodded. “Yeah, yeah. Silver four-door, right?”
“That’s the one.”
“It was actually a simple fix,” Brian said to your relief. “Two of the wires under the hood had been rubbing together and the heat had melted the rubber coating on the outside and shorted the fuse box. We were able to replace the box and wrapped up the expose parts of the wire. I think it ended up being about a hundred dollars or so. We’ve got the invoice in the office.”
Brian motioned for you to follow him, but while Huan did so, still talking to him about the wires and what had gone on with your car, another mechanic in the shop had caught your eye. Bent over and inspecting the engine of a nice mustang was someone that you never expected to see again in your lifetime.
“Kris?”
At the sound of his name, Kris turned and met your eyes. When he did, his jaw went slack and his hand that was keeping him balanced above the engine slipped, causing his head to hit the lifted hood.
You snickered, not quite able to believe this situation in the slightest.
Rubbing the top of his head, he stuttered, “(y-y/n)? W-what are you doing here?”
Over your shoulder, you pointed with your thumb as your good-as-new car parked just outside. “My car broke down last night and we brought it here. This is just insane. Is this where you guys moved to?”
Eyes still wide open in shock, Kris gave you a shaky nod. “Yeah. Yeah, this is where we moved to.”
Something… strange was happening inside you. While Kris had always been slightly taller than you, now he just seemed like a giant, much taller and toned than you had ever imagined him to be. Not that you imagined what adult Kris would look like. Much.
As his brown eyes stared down at you in amazement, your heart started speeding up on its own. You scolded it for getting so worked up over nothing. Of course, Kris did seem to turn into a very handsome man, but that was to be expected. He was a cute kid so why shouldn’t he be an attractive adult? The ring on your left hand was suddenly much heavier.
“Hey, honey.” Huan came over and joined you, planting a kiss on your cheek. Affection like that was nothing new from him, but now you felt uncomfortable at his public display. Sensing some of the tension between you and Kris, he asked, “Do you two know each other?”
“Yeah,” you admitted quickly. “Huan, this is Kris, an old friend of mine. Kris, this is my fiancé, Huan.”
Huan, ever the pleasant and outgoing type, held his hand out. “It’s nice to meet you.”
On the other end, you could see the strain it took for Kris to return the gesture. “Pleasure to meet you, too.”
“Wait,” Huan grinned down at you. “Is this the Kris that you used to talk about all the time?”
Your own eyes went wide with panic. “N-not all the time.”
Kris laughed. “I’m a pretty impressionable guy, so I’m not surprised.”
That made you roll your eyes. Some things never change.
Huan didn’t seem to like the direction the conversation was going, so he looped an arm around your lower back. “Well, it was nice meeting you, Kris, but we should probably get going.”
“Yeah,” you agreed halfheartedly. Seeing Kris again so randomly was making your mind fuzzy. You needed to get out of here, but you didn’t want to leave.
“It was nice to meet you, Huan,” Kris said sincerely. Looking back to you, he gave a soft smile, “It was really good to see you again, (y/n).”
It was impossible not return it. “You, too, Kris.”
Your footsteps were heavy as you walked away from the shop. What strange coincidence was this?
Driving home in your newly fixed car, you were too preoccupied and lazy to cook anything for dinner so you picked up some take out instead, getting both of your usual orders.
At the table, Huan talked about his day like normal, but you found yourself only replying with “hms” and “huhs”. Kris’ face kept floating along in your mind. What had he been up to all these years? Did he go to the same school that you went to now? Did he work at the shop or own it? How were his parents, who always treated you like one of their own?
The muscles in the corner of your mouth pulled up at that last question, remembering the fond memories of playing at Kris’ house and being a bit spoiled by Mrs. Wu. Having no daughter of her own, she kind of doted on you, much to Kris’ irritation.
“What’s the smile for?” Huan asked.
You blinked, looking up from your food. “What?”
“You’re grinning,” he pointed at you with his fork. “What were you thinking about?”
“Just… fond memories,” you shrugged. “Kris’ parents were always really nice to me. I was just thinking about them.”
Huan nodded, looking a little relieved. “Oh, okay.”
He dropped the subject, much to your own relief.
Later that night, after the two of you had crawled into bed and said good night, you found yourself just lying there, staring at the wall and unable to fall asleep. Huan had no trouble drifting off, snoring loudly behind you with one arm draped over your waist, lazily holding you close.
Careful not wake him up, you slowly got out of bed, letting his arm slide off of you. Walking into the closet, you closed the door before turning on the light.
While most of your belongings were unpacked and put away, there was one box that you hadn’t quite gotten to yet. Most of the objects inside were things you didn’t really touch or hadn’t thought about in a long time so there wasn’t any hurry. Pulling the box down from the high shelf, you quietly set it on the floor and opened it up.
A lot of the knick-knacks were from your childhood; first day photos, crappy art projects, a yearbook here and there. Underneath all of that, though, was a very special shoe box. You’d put it away a long time ago, sometime before your sophomore year of college as your teen years were put behind you and real adulthood was coming along.
The contents inside were your most precious items. Items that reminded you of your best friend before he abruptly moved away without a single word of goodbye. It hurt to think about still, how you cried for a week straight while your mother held you and rocked you to sleep. All you wanted was your best friend back, but you didn’t know where he’d gone.
And now he’d magically appeared in front of you. What a jerk.
One by one, you pulled the items out, smiling as you did so. There were a few pictures of you and Kris from your zoo trips and birthday parties. Random rocks you’d found that you once thought were cool and even a red leaf that you’d laminated because you thought it was pretty and you didn’t want to lose it occupied space in the box. But the one thing that you were actually looking for was buried all the way down at the bottom.
Trying not to break the somewhat tangled chain, you pulled out the necklace and held it up.
On your thirteenth birthday, your mother surprised you by having the dumb moonstone that you’d always carried around in your pocket turned into a necklace that you could wear. The rock had always served its purpose, the one Kris had disposed upon it all those years ago. With it in sight, you really couldn’t think of anything else but him.
Sitting there on the floor of your closet in the middle of the night, you fiddled with the necklace, turning the stone in your hand over and over again. Was it a work of fate that he magically appeared in your life again? Or was it just a stunning coincidence?
Either way, you had an inkling feeling that your life was about to get a little complicated.
**
It was supposed to be a normal day at work. Kris was simply supposed to go in, work on the cars for the day and then go home to have dinner with the boys and maybe get some work done on his own baby.
The silver car that was parked out in front of the shop when he arrived in the morning didn’t seem like anything extraordinary. By lunchtime, he was able to get to the car, finding the problem right away thanks to his good eyes and the note left by the owner. He’d smiled when he read the name, thinking immediately of his childhood friend.
Never, ever in a million years would he ever expected that the same person who left the car and note would really be his old childhood friend – you. And not only that, but the biggest surprise was yet to come.
You were his mate.
The clenching feeling in Kris’ chest was almost overwhelming the second his eyes settled on you. Of course, he recognized you right away. You’d hardly changed at all, even though more than fifteen years had passed.
It was incredible. Something like this was rare, having known his mate since he was young. It seemed impossible that the one destined for him would be you.
And of course, being the smooth operator he was, he’d managed to slip and hurt himself on the car he was working on.
Then things just got worse.
A man came up to you and kissed you on the cheek. Reflexively, Kris’ muscles tightened on the wrench he gripped in his hand. The wolf inside growled at him to do something, to get that man away from his mate. But that was your fiancé. He couldn’t exactly just shove the guy off of you and steal you away.
Driving home that night, Kris felt like there was a war going on inside him. He’d held onto the memory of Jiyoon for so long, he didn’t know it would be this intense like to have those feelings washed away.
Kris had never wanted to find his mate. To him, no one could compare to Jiyoon. But… you felt like a mercy from Fate. The only person who could out shine Jiyoon would be the first girl he’d ever had a crush on.
But you had a fiancé. You’d already promised to spend your life with someone else. What was Kris to do about that?
Maybe this was for the better. If you were with Kris… something bad could happen to you. He couldn’t let you end up like Jiyoon. He didn’t want the same thing again. So, maybe this was meant to be. Kris had found his mate, but you could be happy with someone else. And… maybe you two could just be friends in this lifetime. The wolf didn’t like that idea.
A ferocious war indeed.
With heavy footsteps, Kris walked up to the farmhouse and stepped inside to the kitchen, expecting Kyungsoo to be slaving away at the stove on dinner. However, the house was quiet and no one seemed to be around.
“Hello?” Kris called out.
“No one’s home.” Junmyeon stepped into the kitchen. He was dressed down in sweats and a tank top, the complete opposite of his usual professor get up. In fact, he looked like shit. “They all went out for pizza a few hours ago. Chanyeol said he would text you.”
Frowning, Kris pulled out his phone. Sure enough, there was the text on his screen. He never heard the notification, probably because he was too lost in his thoughts. It was miracle he even made it home without an incident. He shrugged it off, not too put out by it. There was plenty of food in the fridge that he could eat and by now they’d be done and on their way home. Instead, he turned back to Junmyeon.
“What’s going on with you?”
Junmyeon sighed heavily, shuffling over to the breakfast booth. He sat down with a thump and rested his face in his hands.
Kris sat down across from him. “Junmyeon?”
He looked up and stared at Kris. “You don’t look much better.”
“Yeah,” Kris scoffed. “I just got the surprise of my life today.”
Junmyeon raised an eyebrow. “Oh, yeah? I bet I can beat it with what happened to me last week.”
Sitting back, Kris smirked. “Really? Fine. We’ll say it at the same time and see who wins.”
Junmyeon actually laughed. “Alright. Deal.”
Kris held a hand up along with three fingers that went down with the numbers. “Three. Two. One.”
“I found my mate.” “I found my mate.”
The alpha wolves stared at each other in shock.
“Well,” Junmyeon swallowed, “this is quite the development.”
“Yeah,” Kris nod. “You got that right.”
Thunderous footsteps shook the house and the rest of the pack came tumbling into the kitchen from the front of the house. They were wrestling around and joking with each other, but when they noticed the two alphas sitting in the booth, the chatter stopped.
“Anything you guys want to share?” Minseok asked.
Kris looked at Junmyeon and waved his hand out. “You first.”
Junmyeon dropped his head down to the table and groaned. For Junmyeon to be this conflicted about finding his mate, the situation had to be either highly comical or deep trouble. Kris was curious to find out which one it was.

Okay, but, the concept of Jin cooking and you two kissing while waiting for it to finish cooking and... uwu ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 ( hold you maybe write it, pretty please? Thank you 😚)
genre/warnings: ceo!seokjin, good old domestic makeout sessions on the kitchen counter
a/n: combined w this kinda i changed it a little sorry ajdfksaj “can u do like playing too hot with jin and he loses (:” both of these requests are so old i’m sosos sorry but i’m doing them now!! uwu!!
word count: 1,310
Your hands were still slick from tap water when you gripped the edge of the counter, prepping and scrambling up the surface until you were perched on the end. You dried your palms on the front of your leggings, dabbing the appendages until your thighs were a bit damp and freezing, the swing of your feet over the side increasing in attempt to warm your muscles again.
Seokjin meandered about the kitchen, oven mitts landing on the island counter top with a soft thump, free fingers busy at the knot at the small of his back. The ridiculous kiss the chef apron peeled off his torso slowly, the knot around his neck fluffing at the disheveled tendrils twisted a top his head as he discarded it too. The hunk of fabric folded, not quite making it all the way, landing on the tile in a sad heap.
He was to you before you could scold him, sliding his palms across your inner thighs, spreading your legs enough for him to fit in between. You leaned away when he ducked forward, stopping the advancement of his comically pursed lips with the flat of your palm, curling your fingers around his mouth.
“Just because you gave Jiyoon the day off doesn’t mean you can trash the kitchen for her to clean up tomorrow,” You flicked his forehead with your free hand.
“That’s the only mess I’ve made,” He argued, straightening from you but not without licking a fat stripe through the center of your hand.
“Really?” You smeared your hand into the front of your t-shirt. He cocked an eyebrow, hands brushing up and down your thighs, waiting for an elaboration. “The pile of salt is still on top of the stove, I think every cabinet is open or at least not closed properly, you dropped an open bag of tortilla chips in the pantry and…” You trailed off, squinting around his shoulders, “…there’s roughly fourteen, used, paper towels that aren’t in the trash.”
Seokjin hummed deep in the back of his throat, leaning to you again. You allowed him to capture your lips this time, propped up on the meat of your palms as he towered over you. “Cooking is an art, darling,” His lips ghosted over the corner of your mouth, “Art isn’t always pretty.”
You tilted your head, allowing his lips to travel down your jaw, “You’re still picking everything up after we’re done eating.”
His teeth nicked into the hinge of your jaw, hands on your thighs gripping and dragging you closer, “Noted.”
“How long did you put it in for this time?” Your neck craned farther as Seokjin mouthed down the side of your throat. The recipe he’d printed had clearly underestimated the ability of your dying oven.
He’d put in an order for two new ones, just in case, before you were able to snatch his phone from his hand and show him he didn’t have the temperature high enough.
“Just ten more minutes or so,” His fingers danced up the curve of your waist, deliberately slow in cupping your cheek in tilting his head for his liking.
The first sink of his teeth into your pulse point had your hand flying into his hair, gripping tight to the soft brown locks. He barely soothed the mark he left, jerking back to you with accusing eyes. A flicking wrist batted at your arm, long fingers capturing your wrist and pinning your hand back to your side.
“No touching,” Seokjin warned, plump lips quirking when your features blanched.
Your surprise was short lived, heel digging into the back of his thigh, “What are we, in college again? What was that stupid game Taehyung made us play at Yoongi’s—”
“Too hot,” He pinched your inner thigh, unwinding your leg from around his waist, “That’s exactly what this is.”
“Why?”
He shrugged, dipping closer so that his nose brushed your cheek, dark brown challenging, “Because there’s no way you can last ten minutes until the food is done.”
“It’s not ten minutes anymore. Eight fifteen and descending.”
Seokjin’s lips latched across the mark he’d made previously, tongue lashing over the irritated skin. Your hand twitched, more so to whack the back of his head when he smirked against you.
“You wouldn’t last two minutes.”
“Oh—” Your retort died in your throat when he kissed you again, harder, as if he were trying to swallow your bottom lip before releasing it so that the skin rebounded against your top lip.
“Oh y-yeah?”
He just grinned, berry colored lips stretching over his teeth as a laugh wheezed out, one that was completely out of place. “Yeah.”
“You’re helping me win,” You prodded. You rose your hands, not to touch him, instead to tap your index finger against your wrist, “Time’s a ticking—”
Your hands at your chest twitched when Seokjin’s mouth was back on you, wasting no time in coaxing open the seam of your lips. Weakly did you drop them into your lap, forcing the twist of your fingers together to keep them occupied from anything but the overwhelming urge to tug on his hair, squeeze his wrists, curl loosely around his neck.
He kissed you languidly, tasting of hot cocoa and his incessant habit of gnawing on breath mints. The festive holiday sweater he’d dug from the back of the closet hung loosely off his wrists, curling over his knuckles that settled on the lipped counter in between your thighs, thumbs brushing into the inner seams of your leggings at your knees. The ridiculously expensive grandfather clock in the foyer clicked over and over, methodically, filling the otherwise silent house with something just as the hum of the oven occupied the kitchen. The wind stirred some of the leftover leaves into the garden, oranges and reds and yellows flashing briefly in your peripheral as they skidded across the stone walkway into the garden off the dining room. A notification bell sounded somewhere, either from his open laptop in the bedroom or his phone forgotten next to a vase of flowers a neighboring company had sent him or his computer in his office on the second story.
You only heard the high pitched grunt of approval muffled against the underside of your molars when Seokjin changed the angle, forcing you backward a handful of degrees. It was almost out of place, as if he were observing the quarterly report, no negative or affirmative emotion at the numbers. Just a soft hmm. Acknowledgement.
“Giving up yet?” He breathed, swallowing thickly, a labored breath catching in his throat.
Your no was both lost and negated when he leaned impossibly close over you, your hands in your lap too far to steady yourself from behind. Instead, you hooked your leg around his waist, digging your heel into his spine as your fists grappled for the collar of his sweater, twisting the itchy wool tight to you.
“Are you trying to kill me?” You spoke into the flat of his mouth, eyes wide open, “Or at the very least, concuss me?”
“No,” The tip of Seokjin’s nose smudged against yours, teeth grazing your lips, “I’m trying to win.”
“Fine, you win, you win,” When he didn’t budge, you huffed, “Can you move now?”
His fingers danced across your thigh, hooking underneath your knee to settle both your legs around his waist, nestling his waist snug between your thighs. “I quite like where I am, actually.”
“The oven is going to beep soon,” You croaked as he went back to work on marking up the side of your neck.
“So? Let it burn,” Seokjin hooked a finger into the collar of your shirt, yanking it aside to catch your clavicle with rounded lips, “We’re getting a new oven, anyway.”
“Yes, but we’re not getting a new house, Jin. And I’m hungry. Jin, get off. Jin!—”

CHAPTER 1
Yoongi has been working nonstop ever since 2 weeks ago when Bang PD and the others wanted to go for a comeback performance. He’s not even eating properly nor has he gotten sleep, and he is locking himself in his studio for far too long. None of the members would want to bother him either because of how one of them got scolded and scowled at for telling him to eat dinner.
Good thing he’d still answer your calls BUT only did so because he was sexually deprived from all the stress.
That night I tried texting him, hoping I could get him to eat.
I tried talking to Namjoon hoping to get a response about what may have been happening while I wasn’t there due to a business trip in New York about a new entertainment enterprise proposal for all races.
I paced around my room, rubbing on my temples. Already stressed enough due to my work since I had to wait for the phone call to confirm their decision by tonight.
I tried texting him again, but I shouldn’t even have tried.
I was beyond angry at this point, I turned off my phone and locked his room. I left. I had another business trip back in Japan for a month, I was relieved I’d get to spend time with my family back home and get time for myself away from Yoongi because aparantley he wanted to be away from me.
I packed up my clothes, and my things before I called my college best friend so she could use my apartment while I was away.
I checked over the apartment room, if I had left anything behind. It was over 10 minutes when JiYoon got to my apartment before heading to the airport. “I’m hungry. Can we stop by at McDonald’s?” She asked. Clearly, she hadn’t eaten anything today. “Sure I don’t mind” while I checked my phone and looked out of the window. “Everything okay (YN)?” She asked while I let out a little “mhm” hoping she wouldn’t hear the sound of my voice. I was about to cry. Yoongi was being immature, and he isn’t even trying to reach me.
We got to the airport right before my flight leaves, good thing I checked in online or I would’ve been screwed.
Yoongi paced around his room, trying to send you messages but the signal wasn’t working at all. He ordered flowers, and chocolates to have them delivered to him before bringing them to you hoping you’d forgive him.
I said goodbye to JiYoon “bring me Japanese treats please!” She begged me. “Sure” I smiled and hugged her. “Don’t be so hard on Yoongi too okay?” She whispered in my ear while I burrowed my face on her shoulder letting out a few tears.
“All passengers to flight A684 bound for Kyoto, Japan. Please board the plane.”
“That’s me. See you in a month” I let go of her. “Smile!” She said pinching both sides of my cheek while I did the best I could to smile. She wiped off my tears “have a safe flight! Text me when you get there!” She said while waiting for you to get to the departure area before leaving.
Yoongi got the flowers, and the chocolate hurrying to get to your apartment. He had accidentally turned on a different route hoping for it to be a shortcut only to be stuck in traffic.
Jiyoon got back to your apartment trying to settle in. After over an hour she laid on the couch and played the movie “kissing booth” while eating her dinner.
*doorbell rings*
She groaned and got up dragging her feet on the floor reaching for the door.
Yoongi was huffing, trying to regulate his breathing when he got to the door only to be surprised to see JiYoon there. “Where’s YN?” He asked confused. “She’s on her flight to Japan.” She said as if you knew. “Oh right, I forgot.” He said cooly trying not to show his disappointment. “Bye” JiYoon said before closing the door. “Shit shit shit.” Yoongi cursed under his breathe, his heart was beating fast, he was saddened about how he treated you earlier that day. Even if it was just through text.
