We (fandom) all believe (collective hc) that Jiwoo has called Kayden dad at many points of the story. But I like to imagine that he has called Kartein/Curtin mom once (1) and it was after he jumped to protect him in Kayden fight with the top ranker.

Bonus points if it was after he accidentally called Kayden dad so now Frame feels like they discovered something they shouldn't know.

Don’t get the wrong idea I’m not trying to fix anything (despite my issues with 75% of the bestie crew having the same hairstyle) ZHENA-nim art did really well on this series and I can definitely see her improvements!!

I find redesigning characters I like as a good exercise for me since I’m trying to practice my character design skills! I’ve also added headcannons so strap in.

First victim, istg he doesn’t even look like the same person lol.

- gave him the :3 mouth bc he has the little shit potential especially after wrapping everyone around his finger

- Longer hair comes from the hc that he is the kind of person who would hide behind it and to match his dads

- changed his hair to brown bc the blond colour blended with his skin too much (helps with contrast)

- The bag is to help him carry cats and more cat food

- Oversized clothes to wallow in, also to hide himself or something

- While Jiwoo and Kayden are implied to wear the same size clothing I still think Jiwoo’s clothes would be tight on Kayden

- It helps Kayden learn about Jiwoo as a person since he would question why his clothes were so ill fitting on him

- Colour palette was hard af, but I mostly went with warmer colours and added blue as an accent so he could match Kayden

- As u can tell the only thing that fits him perfectly is the school uniform, even then he likes to size up the blazer

- His bag would start with no buttons and over time more would be added based on where he’s been and the friends he makes

- Glasses are up for debate but they look nice on him

- gave him more down turned eyes so he could resemble Kang Daniel a little more

barely changed, basically the outfit was the only thing to go

- He looks like the kind of kid that would wear headphones all day

- His glasses fucked off to somewhere and I brought brought them back THEY R HERE TO STAY

- The dress shirt in his casual outfit is the same one from his uniform

- Bc of his upbringing with the doctor guy I would think he doesn’t have that many clothes to begin with and sees little point in getting more

- Ofc that will change later with his friends

- His name tag says his last name is Park but he doesn’t rlly have one and the wiki says so too, so it’s just something he had to give the school or somethin

- More lanky build? Basically a bean pole.

- Changed her uniform to be more fancy based off of the reaction of other students in Jiwoo’s school, the pendant on her bow is her own addition.

- No respectable Gen Z wears ripped skinny jeans… Controversial

- a converse girlie for sure

- Her hair is kinda based off the Mafuyu White Day card, either way she has to give gender

- Are they called arm warmers? They give her an interesting silhouette and very distinguishable from the guys

- Alternatively she wears a turtle neck and a sweater/large T-Shirt when it’s too cold + arm warmers just cause

Some other stuff:

- yes, all the redesigns will eventually include some element of blue like Jiwoo to help connect them and signify how close they are

- a lot of them were made with a go out shopping episode in mind to help us learn more about them

- maybe I’ll write a fic but finals r chasing my ass rn so eventually

My personal headcanon is Jiwoo opening a school to make Jiyeon and the others pay about them forcing him to cross-dress. It gets so bad Jiyeon starts an Only Fan account, tries to practice with several ajumma, and eventually gets a sugar mommy.

While Jiwoo makes money by selling his advice to the magazines that Seven reads and quotes so badly on Mystic Messenger.

jiwoo ; jiwoo's kisses are spontaneous. her kisses are like warm spots of sunlight on a cloudy day, as in they seemingly come out of nowhere and warm you right up. she's the type to grab your chin, pulling you to face her so she can plant sweet kisses all over face before pressing one to your lips, her soft giggling making it hard to reciprocate <3 and she's definitely the type to hold your face in her hands and just look at you before kissing you, her gaze so reverent like she can't believe she has you.

chaewon ; her kisses are shy :( she likes to pretend that she hates your kisses and affection in general, but her face always flushes when you pull her in, hands cupping her face, pressing sweet kisses on her lips. and when you pull away, she'd try to act like she doesn't like it, wiping a hand at her mouth and fake gagging, but she'll always tug you back in when you start to pull away.

hyeju ; hyeju's shy, but only really in public. she likes when you lean in to give her kisses, pressing your lips against her pouty ones, grabbing onto her shoulders to help you reach them, laughing when you see the blush that covers her features. but she'd definitely hold you a little closer the rest of the day, keeping an arm around your waist or shoulders at every given moment. she gets less shy when you're alone. she's the type to pull you to her lap, keeping her hands on your waist while she presses deep, bruising kisses to your lips, laughing to herself at how kiss-swollen they get when she pulls away. definitely the type to run her thumb along your bottom lip omg <3

One piercing on both ears. He got it in his earlier teen years when he met other awakeners with pierced ears, and being young and impressionable, decided to get it pierced as well since he thought it looked cool

He was also going through..a bit of an phase during that time, so that fueled the fire even more to get it pierced

He got them professionally pierced without Jiyoung’s knowledge, and she nearly hit the roof when she found out 

Usually wears small studs, but has an hard time remembering to take care of his ears, so the holes have closed up once or twice 

Probably wears those joke earrings too, y’know, like the ones with an picture of an middle finger that says ‘fuck off’ 

Doesn’t take accessories in general very seriously, so probably wears some goofy ah earrings

I imagine he got them pierced while his father was still alive, either from the influence of the internet/other people and thought it looked pretty cool, or just decided to get it on an whim and didn’t actually realize what he was doing 

Predictably, his father wouldn’t approve of the earrings since he didn’t like the image associated with them, so the holes probably closed up after awhile 

Got them re-pierced after his father’s death after noticing the holes had closed up to spite his dead father somewhat and gain an bit more self-identity 

Got one more piercings on both ears because Why The Hell Not so now has two piercings on each ear

Wears them all the time because now he’s just used to wearing them. Doesn’t go insanely fancy on any of the earrings, usually wears small tiny studs, but sometimes wears an small dangly earring every once in awhile

Got them pierced under Jisuk and Subin’s encouragement, Subin’s especially 

Had Curtin pierce them for him (Curtin won’t admit how high stress the whole ordeal was for him, especially with Kayden staring daggers at his head, but hey, he got the job done) 

Very diligent in taking care of his ears, and wears small hoop earrings, studs, little cartoon earrings, basically anything Subin gets for him.

Also got it due to influence from his friends 

Had Doctor Delein pierce them for him, because he honestly doesn’t really trust anyone else to pierce them for him 

Allergic to nickel, so it got really infected at first and had to switch the earring material 

He later got his cartilage pierced as well, and whined for the whole damn month about how much it hurt

Well worth it, though, because he definitely pulls off earrings. Studs, dangly earrings, hoops, anything looks good on him.

I don’t know why, but I feel like Gangseok would be really good at piercing ears 

Lke he’d be the one that people would go to to get those DIY at home ear piercing procedures 

I imagine he’s had his ears pierced since he was a baby, and once he got inhis teens, pierced more of it himself 

Has like a lot of piercings. Has three down on his lobes and three cartilage piercings. Never wears more than 2-4 earrings at once, though. 

His most worn is either studs or the chain that connects down to his lobe, though it annoys him when he’s training

My Gay Agenda aside, it honestly feels really late for Gestella to appear as a love interest for Kayden?

She only first appeared in Chapter 294, which seems like the middle of the comic. And the writers didn't even add backstory for Gestella and Kayden (like they did for Kayden & Kartein or Kayden & Pluton). They clearly don't know anything about each other.

(More detailed spoilers under the break. Screen readers stop now)

There's no way Gestella would believe how sappy those letters were if she knew Kayden, nor would Kayden have been so distrustful of her with Jiwoo if he knew that she had a decent personality (similar to his understanding that neither Kartein or Pluton would likely hurt Jiwoo, which is how he led Kartein to Jiwoo's house and only fought Pluton for jabbing at his ego rather than solely because he discovered their location).

Developing a relationship for KayStella from square one in the middle of the comic sounds like a clusterfuck waiting to fail.

Especially when the whole current basis of their relationship is them being pissed off at each other based on misunderstandings.

The forced romance only feels more jarring when Kartein and Kayden had the perfect romantic setup in contrast. They had a clear background from how they talked to each other, they knew how to get on each other's nerves, they could trust each other (in a bare sense but still), and Kartein was introduced in Chapter 136 which gives readers plenty of time to get to know him. Kartein has several major development arcs since his introduction and only became closer to Kayden. Kartein is a well-developed character whose relationship to Kayden never felt very forced or contrived solely for a romance plot. Kartein is actually a character by himself before he would be romantically inclined.

Therefore, the writers knew how to set up a character to have long-term development alongside Kayden while also getting development by themselves. So if anything, Gestella should have been the one introduced early on so we could get to know her.

I'm just pointing out that it's a mistake logistically for her to be introduced so late, compounded with having no shared background to Kayden. Their relationship will almost certainly be inferior to one that is well-developed over the majority of the comic versus halfway through.

Because personally, I adore Gestella, stupid plotline aside. So the way the writers throw both her and Kayden under the bus for the forced romance plot really pisses me off on so many levels. The plot feels utterly disrespectful to their development. It makes Gestella yet another forced female love interest (which sucks even worse when the only main female characters are made solely for the males). Then randomly shoots a romance plot at Kayden even though he's been fine this whole time as just a cat dad to Jiwoo.

Again, Gay Agenda aside, even my Het Agenda is ruined by this. How am I supposed to ship their canon selves on such a shit foundation? (Although my headcanon ideas for them are still raging; I'm too much of a simp for them separately to not pair them together. Fuck)

Meanwhile, Gay Agenda at full rainbow power, Kartein and Kayden is obviously the queer romance that we will never get in canon. They were the perfect setup and have been since their first chapters. This forced heteronormative nonsense is why queer pairings are the majority of fandom ships, let's not lie.

From the Author: Order from anon. The first time I read it wrong and realized that it was Kayden's sister, when in fact it was Cartain's sister. I had to delete the post (the headcanons remained in my personal drafts), now at least I wrote it as ordered😅

Kayden is in love with Kartein's younger sister. Personally, it seems to me that Kartein will commit genocide, but will not give his sister to Kayden. He will try his best to dissuade you from dating Kayden, saying how bad Kayden is and he doesn’t deserve to be with you. It seems to me that it will get to the point where you and Kartein will quarrel very much and will not want to communicate for some time.

No matter how Kartein is against Kayden, he trusts him and knows that if something happens, he will kill an ill-wisher if he touches you, but how to resolve family squabbles is the main question. The main problem is that you are both proud and will not give in to each other. You insist that Kayden is not the way Kartein sees him, but he doesn’t want to listen.

Kayden really gave up some of his principles for your sake, stepped over his pride and became softer and more tactful with you. Yes, he's still the same crazy, battle-crazed bastard, but like you said, he's your bastard and you accept him for who he is.

And yet you need to make peace with your brother, it was risky, but when Jiwoo was seriously injured and his core was broken, Kayden called Kartein and asked for help, although he knew that you were not much inferior to your brother in healing.

Having met for a long time, you didn’t even look at each other, you just agreed that you need to help Kayden’s student. Only after Jiwoo healed were you able to truly talk and make peace. Although Kartein was still against Kayden, but seeing how happy you were next to him, he still made an exception and began to accept Kayden.

Please do keep in mind that the Character's surname is just an Headcanon of mine since they don't got a canon surnames. I search in the web for Korean surnames since the game was created by Korean Artists and Writers. Then landed with "Hyung-Seok" (for Charlie) and "Choi" (For Mike)

Charlie's personality is pretty much like in the game but with a side of candy sprinkles. Instead of avoidant,distancing themselves and pushing people away. Charlie's slowly opening themselves up and accepting to appreciate the little things that comes in their way. (Which sometimes make them feel weird since it's like a new feeling.)

We know very little of Mike's information in the game but we can see enough how understanding and caring he is. I think He got that light and warm energy around him that make others think instantly that Mike is a person that's a friend to everyone.

Eleceed Redesign Pt 2

Hi, I’m back to be annoying with my headcanons again. I rlly should be studying. Again, this is for FUNNNN I ain't fixing shit it's more like how I would draw them.

I also redesigned the bestie crew so look at that too after this one teehee.

Starting off with the one who doesn’t even look like the same person.

I noticed this webcomic rlly likes to repeat hairstyles, I mean Jiyoung has the same hair as Lia and Iseul has the same thing just short.

I have not though about how Jiyoung would get the scar on her chest, but all I know is that at one point she had a phase like Jisuk and that's how she got it. Instead of seeing it as ugly tho I want her to think of it as a badge of honour.

I do not care if her outfit is inconvenient she looks cool af.

The white streak in her hair was because of Jisuk, I didn't think that far after that I just wanted them to kinda match.

I like the think she also has a rebellious streak but she's better at hiding it.

I actually don't mind Kayden and Kartein's designs, I just made some changes based on some adjustments I would make.

I made his ass built like a Dorito cause body shape is also included in silhouette which is important for character design :)

based on what I said about Jiwoo's clothes in my last post I decided to make it a reality. My friend also told me I should have a button on his shirt holding on for dear life.

Messier hair because he a heads and shoulders 4 in 1 type of guy. Also it helps sell his personality more at first glance.

His black outfit is base on the SOLIDER uniform from FF7, I didn't really have any ideas so it's' in the works. I kept the monochrome black palette for now since it goes so well with Kartein but I'll change that later.

Ear piercings just because.

Yes, Kartein makeup is for everyone. I didn't change much about him either

I gave him short hair because I couldn't think up a good long hair style for him. Also, half slicked back hair because it makes him look fancy.

Gay Earring because he got his hair slicked back, it may be a gift from a certain someone considering how simple it is.

Monochrome white for him still! Like Kayden, I want to make more outfits where he has more colour.

his mole is only there bc I like it when characters have it there and there was also a stray line art marking I couldn't find the layer of and was too lazy to find it.

a little pendant tie thing because I think it looks cool and again may be from a certain someone

I noticed that Kayden and Kartein would be hard to tell apart if it was only their silhouettes and no black and white contrast to the suit and coat along with hair change help with telling them apart.

A fanfic may be in order, but that will be after I crawl out of exam hell. Also, I am well aware some of these designs would be HELL to draw for a webcomic, don't take it seriously lol.

I think this lovable asshole is surprisingly a good bf.

He may be a little harsh and mean towards you in the beginning and that's probably since he's always been alone and haven't had anyone to lean on.

But he will slowly warm up to you and be less harsh and mean but instead he's gonna tease the living hell out of you.

He would definitely keep your relationship a secret since he doesn't want you to be targeted by other awakeners that are his enemies.

But there are a few exceptions for example Jiwoo and Kartein. (but Kartein found out by himself after seeing how you two act when your together)

The most affection he will show you when there are people are around is probably holding each other's pinkies or he has his arm around your waist or shoulders.

But when your alone and for example cooking he's hugging you from behind and has his chin on your shoulder while making small comments on what your doing. If your sitting on the couch he either as a arm around you while you sit in his lap or a arm around your shoulders if your leaning into his side.

He's big spoon no exceptions (might make a exception and be small spoon if he's exhausted or if you have gotten hurt by someone when he was not around)

Kartein

This fine man is a good bf for sure.

He definitely likes to buy you things it doesn't have to be anything big but maybe a necklace you have seen and wanted or something he saw and it reminded him of you.

He's not extremely affectionate but he won't complain if you want to cuddle or wanna hold hands.

He LOVES to gossip about people(kayden) he hates and boast about himself with you.

If you have hurt yourself no matter if it's small or big he will always heal you and if it was done by a awakener be ready for that person to go missing.

And like Kayden he will keep your relationship a secret for both of your safety especially yours.

He's big spoon but occasionally small spoon it depends on his mood.

one of harper's best friends in the entire world is jiwoo, one of @celestialshearts' muses. did harper initially have a little crush on him while they were trainees together? definitely, but that passed years ago and now he's just content to be jiwoo's best friend. he travels abroad with jiwoo often, and nights with ezra and jaden usually include jiwoo. harper adores him! that's his best friend and he doesn't know what he'd do without him.

hc + 👪 for a family-themed headcanon

harper's first birthday with his parents was ... anxiety inducing. he didn't know what to expect, if they'd remember or care at all, if they'd plan something or see him as selfish if he asked about doing something or ungrateful if he didn't expect it ... he thought himself into a black hole, but in the end? they made him breakfast and got him a few gifts (a journal. some clothes, and an ipod, which was a big deal at the time), and took him out for the day. they did also get him a cake, and it was nice. they kept it simple so he wouldn't be overwhelmed, but even now, harper day is a big deal in the yi family.

his parents' home is still one of his favorite places. his childhood room is just as it was the day he moved out, with old toys, books, and clothes everywhere and his old kpop posters all over the walls (they're, ironically, mostly posters of sunnie). when he visits his parents, it's like becoming a teenager again, and it's actually not as bad of a thing as you might think. honestly, he goes back home a lot when he's stressed, comforted by the smell of his mom's favorite vanilla candles and the old arm chairs his dad refuses to get rid of, even though they look so tacky now.

hc + 🎡 for a hobby-themed headcanon

aside from dancing and singing, which take up most of his time, harper also likes to crochet! it helps when he needs to be busy with his hands, and he likes getting to make things for his friends — usually sweaters, blankets, or little creatures. he also likes to reform clothes, and has a lot of old clothes he's repurposed for better things. just wait til he finally commits to filling up his favorite jean jacket with patches and paints on it.

harper yi is, as most people will tell you, incredibly hard to upset. even when he is upset, he'll keep it to himself. the fastest way to get him visibly upset with you is to lie to him. he doesn't cry or get mad, just ... cold. indifferent. it's unsettling and not at all like him, and people hate it because harper is too warm and too forgiving, and he completely shuts down upon discovering a lie.

hc + 😃 for a happiness-themed headcanon

they have a tendency to overexaggerate their own happiness for the sake of others, but harper does actually find joy in a lot of small things. a new houseplant, their coffee being made just right, the convenience store down the street having their favorite pack of ramen in stock ... the little moments make him so happy. sometimes, a great end to his day is sitting on his balcony eating some cheap ramen and listening to his favorite music. does he at times conflate happiness with contentment? maybe. but they're not so different, are they?

hc + 😨 for a fear-themed headcanon

harper is ... jumpy. when it comes to fight or flight, some very special circumstances aside, he tends to lean more towards fleeing. he's scared of a lot; spiders, strange noises in the dark, horror movies, etc. but nothing will ever top the fear he feels when it comes to being himself. that said, he's absolutely the type of person to forget his own fears if it means helping his friends out.
