I am in a feverish covid haze... my first time... its yucky. But I think I'm on the backside of it now.

I needed to throw out my two cents on today's Are You Sure? Episode 4 before I go take another nap (seventh since yesterday)

First: Naked. Jimin strutted out to the pool, got in and was promptly warned by JK to cool it, the pool has a window where everyone can see and they both glance at the staff who are off camera... I'm not making this up.

NAKED. NAKED. NAKED.

Staff who bought those swim trunks probably short-circuited when they thought we'd be seeing wayyyyyy more of Jimin-ssi than intended.

My mild ataxophobia was triggered when I saw the entrance of the cafe that's been famous since last Chuseok. I know it has its "charms" and the space probably serves several purposes as I see a sewing machine back there, its possible the owner lives there too. But the clutter made my brain glitch:

Other thoughts: this episode returned to a more laid-back vibe. Laid back for them. Not for us. The naked has all of us ogling, pausing, rewinding, comparing what mother nature gave them, nipple size, basically going crazy. Oh? That's just me? Okay. Never mind.

Jimin was feeling good and fully engaged and it showed.

It picks up with them leaving the wall climbing/kart racing place and they drive to an omakase restaurant. It is a style of Japanese restaurant where the chef chooses what you will eat.

Tae understood that his presence really wasn't part of the concept of what Jimin and Jungkook were doing with this project and he did seem to respect that a little bit more as time went on.

Jimin can definitely handle Tae, he set him straight a few times in this episode, just like he did in the last one.

Jimin and Jungkook really do sleep together. There was no reason for them to share a bed for as long as they did in this episode, there was another completely fine empty bed in the room. They made jokes about hitting each other in their sleep, which correlates with their banter during JK's naked-in-bed live after the Connecticut trip.

Anyway, its time for another nap for me. Carry on. Try not to break the pause/rewind buttons on your keyboard...

Are You Sure: Episode 4 Reaction

Just finished episode 4 of Are You Sure and I have to say, I'm pretty blown away by it. I looooooove that it returned to the vibes and energy of the first two episodes and that Jimin was feeling so much better (FINALLY lol). I really appreciated the fact that Tae was still there because I love seeing their dynamic and that they made an effort to include him in everything but I also liked that Jimin and Jungkook made it clear that this was their show. And Tae's a real one for giving them space together in certain moments to be alone, like that's a real friend.

I also deeply appreciate getting to see Jimin and JK just having normal conversations, without all the extra-ness of all the added chaos from an activity (even though I love watching those too). Watching them just sit down beside each other to view JK's SNTY choreo and talk about his lack of sleep was so great. It felt so real for me, like they would be having that same exact conversation even if the cameras weren't there. The pool scene and Jungkook having to remind Jiimin about the cameras and their conversation afterwards when they got out was um, certainly something. Idek if I can get into all that lmaoooooo. Like the looks on both of their faces, sheeeeesh I felt like I was interrupting by just watching them lol. Also not them talking about going to shower multiple times and the show not actually showing/clarifying if it was separate showers, like hellooooo, I guess we're just going skip past that part, totally not sus at all (spoiler alert it totally sus haha). Plus Jungkook's mom asking about Jimin twice in her short conversation with him on the phone was also extremely adorable, and showed that their bond just isn't for the cameras, that it runs deep, and even his mom loves him haha.

Anyway, gonna rewatch the episode about 100 more times because I loved it so much!! And the beauty of this show is its rewatch ability. It always allows you discover new things in each scene that you may have missed before, and I just can't get enough of it!!

Hello loves! So this is the fic which really made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions today. It's so beautifully written, it truly makes you feel every emotion, honestly. It's so heart warming, and I cried, I gasped and at one point my heart just skipped a beat cause it is so good! Sorry for anyone still doubting jikook but that episode did nothing but cement it for me. Once again when they were hanging out alone together I felt very much that I shouldn’t be watching.

Not because they were doing anything scandalous or inappropriate, just a very prominent feeling of ‘I don’t think I’m supposed to be seeing this.’

If you don’t see it, that’s on you but damn did they make it real obvious this episode that they treat each other in a vastly different way to how they treat others.

Territory of Light

Light scatters all around us. The colors that we see are the colors that aren't absorbed but the ones that reflect back to us. If KM are like light, wouldn't whatever we see in them be the one color that reflects back? Or maybe they reflect all of them, like a rainbow.

At times, people look to them to see a sign that tells them it's either love or friendship that they perceive. Some people are even worse, and they look at them and see irritation or animosity reflected back. Those people need to get their eyes checked because that's beyond bad eye sight. That's just disingenuous.

I'm sure jikook don't look at themselves from afar, like we do. We look at them like we're gazing up at the moon. To them, they're just Jimin and Jungkook. Who share a band and who have a lot of history. Words often fail to capture the complex weight of their bond. How do you define that burning feeling in your chest when you're together? Emotions are rarely just one thing. Some have often been there for a while before you realize what exactly it is that you're feeling. Feelings that run steady like a current flowing underneath all of the other ones. And then there are those sparks. That flare up whenever that person looks at you in a certain way, or grabs you by the back of your shirt.

But can words really capture a look? Or a simple touch? A touch that isn’t showy and that is barely acknowledged. But a touch that was surely meaningful because it was leaden with depth of feeling. The kind of touch that didn’t need any words to make itself felt.

Jimin felt that touch and knew that Jungkook was seeing the whole of him. Jungkook wordlessly (intimacy right here) let Jimin know that he empathized with him, struggling once again with his health. Not for show, just for them.

And then, finally, once Jimin is feeling better, as we saw in ep. 4 of Are You Sure, once he's well rested, we can instantly tell that the heavy head of the sunflower is once again looking up at the sun, that the world becomes brighter for the both of them. What a relief!

They need their light. They live in it to recharge their batteries, and they don't care who sees them. This show might be the brightest spotlight on their bond either of them have ever stood in, and they're doing it together. They're not hiding. It is both exhilarating to watch and incredible to see how much they bloom under each other's gaze.

That love is for them. Not for show. Surroundings slip away, and it's almost like it's just the two of them.

Traveling is my thing too...

I'm still marinating in my Are You Sure?! afterglow. I just loved every part of it, every minute of the episodes and behinds. There is one thing that's been on my mind and I know it might ruffle some people because of how it sounds at first.

Jimin and Jungkook spontaneously created "scenes" for Are You Sure?!. Prompted each other for the sake of making content. Another facet of being good entertainers...

They were trying to be content creators and not rely on others to tell them what to say or do. The total opposite of "scripted" which, of course, means the shows were unscripted and made up as the days' activities unfolded.

They both actively initiated moments they could play off each other. This is part of that now-becoming-over-used word we say to describe their dynamic... chemistry.

Was it fake? No. The moments they created were genuine interactions whether it was an inside joke of theirs or just talking about topics like cosmic horror or origins of slang words. Not any different than how we behave with our own close friends and significant others. We initiate conversation topics, we poke at each other, we talk about stupid shit, we sometimes have heartfelt and meaningful conversations.

In other words, we are authentic with our closest people. That's what humans do. And as we also are so comfortable with our friends and significant others, we can also have quiet time just being in the presence of the other. IT'S ALL NORMAL AND NOT FAKE.

Was it fan service? No. Again, they were being content creators, trying to create something that was purely them, purely normal interactions only they could have with each other.

Do they have off moments? Of course they do. When one or the other was not active in the interaction, the other was just being themselves, no faking, no fan service, just Jimin and Jungkook behaving as themselves, the only way they know to behave, in the presence of the other, nothing negative about it, just "being."

But they were on a mission to create content that they knew Army would enjoy while they were away. With a big smile, Jungkook said we'll really enjoy it. He said this before he got in that Jeep and drove away to Connecticut. He already knew before it started that he and Jimin were going to have fun. They trust us, their fans, to enjoy the things they give us. Those who do not enjoy it are not their fans.

I've seen people say they only watched a few clips and not the entire series of AYS and then conclude "its obvious (insert fave name) feels this or that." No Boo, you can't deduce those things from a 5 second slo-mo clip or a screen cap from a split second moment from an 8 episode series (9 hours of interactions between the members). What IS obvious is these people don't want to know the truth.

If you don't watch original content in its entirety, how could you possibly "know" your fave/bias? Especially this particular series. If you are a fan of Jimin, Jungkook or even Taehyung, if you did not watch the entire episodes, your opinion is meaningless. If you based your opinions on select snippets or screenshots with no context, your opinion is meaningless because you don't have the entire story. You have every right to say you don't like it and won't watch it because it doesn't align with your (false) idea of who Jimin, Jungkook and even Tae are. But in doing that, you should also remind yourself you are clinging to your own fantasies of who they are.

In his last live the day before enlisting, Jimin told us he was sick with the flu for a week after returning from Sapporo and only had another week before their enlistment. Maybe he was starting to feel the symptoms on that last day in Sapporo and it contributed to feeling so down.

The behind footage for Sapporo shows at some point the cameras were turned off in the car when they were driving to the airport to return to Korea.

It would have been easy for the show's producers to just edit the footage and write captions that totally ignore the fact the cameras were ever turned off at all. We would have never known. Them including that information helps us put everything in context. Jungkook and Jimin purposely turned the cameras off and they purposely informed us of that so we could understand that there was a lot of time without any recording whatsoever. Maybe they talked about stuff they didn't want recorded. Maybe Jimin took a nap because he wasn't feeling good. No matter, most would call that PRIVATE TIME. They had an abundance of PRIVATE TIME during ALL of these trips.

I feel strongly they will do a few more trips. They loved this so much, and they have a foundation to build on, they will do more.

And now, its been a few weeks after the last episode and we've got the behind scenes. It still sort of feels like a dream that these two produced this project for us. Yet it only made sense didn't it? Who else out of the 7 would do something like this? It's genius level thinking to create this, doing something they both have said they love doing, doing it with each other, the people they connect with the best, and giving us something at the same time. Brilliant.

And I want to say thank you to Jimin and Jungkook. Personally, this was the best of the best.

It is truly the work of the Universe that they have each other, to support each other during this period of time. In recent pics I've seen, they look well. I miss them so much.

And now we're just over 8 months away from having them back. Eight months and 15 days before all 7 are discharged and we look forward to the first group live and an ocean of tears of relief pouring from all over the world for them. 10 days until our Hobi is back. I'm so excited!

My Are You Sure?! photobook arrived the other day, I wasn't expecting it so suddenly because Weverse Shop still had it marked as "shipping soon" and then all of a sudden it was here. YAY!

I am going to scan a lot of it but the big postcard sized photos that were part of the early pre-order gifts are on my refrigerator. I also ordered the Are You Sure?! magnets but those won't be here until December. As you can see, I'm a collector of fridge magnets when I travel so it was a no-brainer to get the Are You Sure magnets.

Also, shout out to anyone in North Carolina trying to recover from Hurricane Helene. The Nantahala area was one of my most favorite vacations. I hope to go back someday. I know it's hard to rebuild, I've experienced the aftermath of too many hurricanes. Take it one day at a time and never lose hope. Normal will come back again.

So much to unpack about bedtime in Are You Sure?! Episode 4

First, either it was already talked about or Tae just assumed, but he knew Jungkook and Jimin were going to share a bed. That was “supposed” to be Jimin’s bed and Tae was meant to sleep on the floor. But why leave a perfectly good bed empty?

The way Jungkook said “let’s go” twice to Jimin only to follow it up by saying “let’s go together”… that was not subtle. Lol. Jungkook was tired and Jimin had suggested they go to bed, so Jungkook was not going without him.

And then they literally jump into bed together!

Did they discuss sharing a bed? Maybe, or maybe it was assumed and automatic. But the comfort at how they hopped into bed together, at the same time like it was freaking choreographed, and Jimin instinctively threw his legs over Jungkook, screamed of familiarity and needing to be close to each other. Also, I died, because wtf? that was so precious!

And how funny was the convo about getting hit in the nose. I love them so much.

Side note: I think the editors are F-ing with us. Come on… “Jimkook”?!? I can’t believe the stuff they are including, but I am loving every second once I recover from the shock! Also, thank you editors for not just showing the shot of their feet in bed. I don’t know why you’re including all this, but I am grateful for all the extra bed footage we have been getting. Oh right… “fan service”.
