The pic shows Jim Thorpe, the first Native American athlete to win an Olympic gold medal for the United States, wearing an unmatched pair of shoes, the athlete found the unusual footwear in the garbage, after his shoes disappeared shortly before a competition in the 1912 Olympics in which he won the gold medal.
