Right now I'm just writing an Alternative Universe of a story I'm not planning on working on soon because I should be writing about another, using NaNoWriMo as a boost and etc, but I lost momentum for sick days and, through them, I was watching the second season of the series that sparkled the AU, so I'm stuck with them. Here a snippet of fresh writing:
The dress falls like a circle of cloth at her feet and, taking her cousin's offered hand, Miss Amayah steps out barefoot, allowing Giselle to pick up both the garment and the shoes. Lady Michiko turns in place, following the path her cousin takes to the vanity seat. “There's a ball tonight. We will go, right?” “Do you want to go?” Miss Amayah looks at her for a few seconds through the mirror, passing a wet towel over her lips and eyelids to get rid of the tincture. “Of course. Why else would I be doing all this? The plan is to attend, meet some people and invite them home.” “If the objective is to invite strangers to your house, it will not be necessary to go to any ball.” Not understanding her point, Miss Amayah looks at her again using the mirror, quietly waiting for Giselle to finish helping her remove her coat. Her maid changes it into a robe and, putting it on, Lady Michiko ties the cord at her waist, turning her back to remove her pants as well and handing them over to her along with her shoes. When her reddish gaze returns to her, Miss Amayah raises an expectant eyebrow. “What are you talking about?” Clearing her throat gently, Lady Michiko plunges a hand into the pocket of her robe. “Of course, of the endless line of suitors who will be hanging around the entrance starting tomorrow?” “Suitors?” Miss Amayah turns in her seat to face her. “But if at no time I have said that I'm interested in getting a husband, why should they-?” The look on her cousin's face prevents her from even finishing the question. Straightening her back, she understands that whatever she is about to say is serious and she must give it her full attention to comprehend it. But her silence lasts longer than expected. “What is?” Lady Michiko diverts her gaze to rest it elsewhere in the room and Miss Amayah's laughter springs unintentionally from her nerves, clearing her throat to cut her off, settling back in her seat. “Dearie, what is it about?” As she continues not to speak, the moment she shifts her weight from her feet, Miss Amayah stands up, unable to bear the stillness for another second. “Jessenia, you are scaring me.” “You might prefer to listen to it while sitting down,” she points to her seat. “I was and you didn't say anything!” Lady Michiko still doesn't look at her face, turning to look at Giselle, who is waiting in front of the dressing room, waiting for her lady to choose her next dress to take away. The maiden stirs a little at the sudden attention. “A shot of vodka, please.” “Vodka?” Her cousin repeats, confused and surprised, while Giselle rushes out to fulfill the request. “You drink? Since when?” Rather than the questions, it's the incredulous and forlorn tone with which she makes them feel worse for Lady Michiko, immediately longing for the drink down her throat. Maybe more than one drink. “For six years. There are many things you don't know, Maya.” “I think I'm realizing it,” she murmurs. And the trust between the two can be felt in the air like glass cracking. Her cousin shakes her head, pressing two fingers to the bridge of her nose. “We can talk about me another time.”

December Dialogue Writing Prompt
December 22
“You shouldn’t have come.” Someone seems to think your character shouldn’t be there. How do they respond?
“Yeah,” she paces around, poking at the furniture, sliding a finger across a surface and lifting it up covered in dust. “I think you would have liked it if I shouldn't come. You know?” She shakes her hands, rummaging in her pockets for a handkerchief. “You should clean a little bit.”
When she carefully wipes her fingers, they rush to take her down, but they don't know that they gave her too much time to prepare. Just with an impulse of a foot, the coffee table rises in the air, and she spins only to accumulate a greater force, pushing the table towards them, the hit breaking it.
But she knows that's not enough for an average person, they only stumble with just a probable bruise as a result. That's why she lifts that rococo chair at her side with the handkerchief wrapped around the leg to not get dirtier; that kind of chair is heavier than they seem, but she doesn't notice it, breaking it against them as if she were swinging a baseball bat to knock the air out of them.
She covers her face from the raising dust and discards the chair leg left in her hand, noticing they are out cold. So much for their intimidation tactic.
“And I shouldn't have come, they said. Uuuh, how scary,” she fakes the tremble, moving her arms, and continues looking around.

December Dialogue Writing Prompt
December 20
“Was this your ad?” Your character has posted an ad for some hired help. An applicant approaches you directly, waving the ad, instead of at the time or place listed on the ad. How do they react?
“No, it isn't.” She starts to walk away, the heels of her boots clicking against the floor. But just on a few steps, she turns and comes back, inhaling deeply. “It is, but there is a date, a place, and an hour for a reason,” she goes past them, continuing with her path.

Their games were always intense. Too competitive. But that time was special. Jessenia, over time, was able to feel comfortable in the presence of the young Honō to the point of forgetting about the coat and not worrying about her hair. That night it was impossible for the boy to concentrate on the cards in his hand more than on the woman sitting in front of him. Because that was her, quite a woman. She rested her back against her chair, her slender legs crossed one over the other; the pressure on the fabric tightening her muscles. Her shirt, semi-loose, fell over her body, but the top buttons were undone, so it was impossible for him not to notice her flawless skin and her delicious cleavage. Her dark hair, somewhat mussed, was accommodated by her hand so that it framed one side of her face. She was radiant, as always, but tonight she was shining in a special way.

“If I'm not mistaken, my lady,” Jessenia looked up from her cards at him, “you are Miss Amayah Nomura's cousin.”
“Lord Nomura's niece, yes,” she agreed, looking back down and accommodating her cards in her hand without showing any emotion on her face.
“So, if you two are cousins and you are the cousin of my comrade Yamil here, doesn't that mean that-?”
The host interrupted him with a laugh, shaking his head and drinking from his crystal glass before taking another card.
“I know where your thoughts are going, Taishi, and you are wrong. My beloved cousin, here present” he nodded toward her, who gave him a small, appreciative smile, “and I are very distant relatives, so distant that we can hardly say that we are, but the distance of the blood does not prevent that we treat each other as we do. My precious Amayah and I are just lifelong friends. If it turns out that we are related in any way, it would be by a cross twice as far apart as Jessenia's and mine. But Jessenia and Amayah are close cousins. As I understand,” he looked at her, “from your mother…”
“And Lady Nomura,” she agreed. “They're both second or third-line cousins, that fact was never very clear,” she brushed it aside with one hand, “but they appreciated each other as if they were sisters.”
“Like you and Amayah,” Yamil pointed out with a smile.
“Amayah has all my heart,” she accepted with a nod, before placing her winning hand on the table with a perceptible change in her posture, “and all my respect. She is the most important thing in my life.”
“The fidelity you show to Miss Amayah Nomura is admirable, for having grown apart,” he commented as he deposited his cards, not at all upset with his defeat.
“Physical distance means nothing when feelings are real, Mr. Honō. My cousin lives here in London while I haven't moved from Osaka, and every time I come to visit I find I haven't missed a thing.” She looked up at him, too bright a gleam emanating from her eyes. “Our relationship may have been mostly by correspondence, but we are close in our hearts. That is what is truly important.”
