Before it was cool to write Carmen Fantasies, Jenö Hubay busted out the very first Carmen Fantasy for violin and piano around 1878 - less than a year after Bizet wrote the opera "Carmen" in the first place. This is the original first edition.
Hubay (seated) taught Joseph Szigeti (little guy) and will be mad if you mess up his Carmen Fantasy.
