i genuinely hope there’s an episode where henry and even charlotte and jasper comes back.i really want to see ray just like happy and realizing how much he respects and appreciates the kids bc he never did that.

i really like the idea of swellview knowing about henry, but only because he’s close to other cool people.

like everyone sort of knows henry as the weird older brother of piper hart, lowkey internet celebrity and style icon and president of the man fans. 

or he’s the best friend of charlotte page, who’s a local genius who lowkey invented the world’s most important invention (before it got destroyed) and stays winning every academic contest. 

and he’s also the best friend of jasper dunlop, who is admittedly a bit weird but very locally beloved, not to mention the kid has a whole holiday named after him. 

henry hart, though? yeah, he’s around, but he’s not special.

DAD JASPER APPRECIATION POST

Jasper would be the sweetest dad.

period. no arguments. the way he treated barfield was fucking adorable and he just loved the little guy to death. jasper even put barfield in a little necktie in one clip!!!

If you stop to think about Jasper's suggested trauma, you'll notice that he doesn't have a dad.

I believe partially that this is why Jasper is so desperate for Ray's approval and validation. He's the closest thing Jasper has to a father, and other then Ray the other adult male role models he has is Mr.Hart, who treats him just as shitty.

The whole thing just makes me so sad

Ok I know HD has ended but like,,I can finally get this out lol.

I know for a fact HD had a lot of problems. Like, a lot. But this was one issue I've always noticed from like the very first episode, and it's always bugged me?

Basically I've always been bitter over Jasper, specifically, Ray and Jasper's relationship.

I remember when the first season came out, and younger me would be watching every ep that came out. And every one I watched, I could tell Ray didn't like Jasper.

And I always found it odd because, sure Jasper *was* a pretty weird kid, but Captain Man was always his hero. He looked up to him so much, and Ray was always a sucker for attention? And he didn't necessarily have any reason to hate Jasper.

All Jasper ever did was look up to Ray, and Ray always, *always* shot him down or turned him into a joke? And he was so set on wiping his memories too right after he found out Henry was Kid Danger??? Even when knowing he was Henry and Charlotte's best friend and it was more than likely they would both be extremely upset over it????? And Jasper's proven more than once that he would do anything for Ray's approval, for validation and recognition, even if it was just a sticky note posted to his forehead.

I hadn't watched the show in years but when I came back just in time for the second half of season 5 I rewatched all the episodes and gotta say,,,I'm honestly disappointed they kept up with that. I was really hoping that Ray would see Jasper as more than just an annoying kid but nope.

I don't even know where I'm going with this lmao, I'm just rambling at this point but in the end,,,,Jasper, Charlotte, and really even Henry deserved better

HD RANT

So, ya'll know that I'm obviously a die hard Jasper sympathizer and would fight anyone who dissed my favorite bucket boy.

So, it's not exactly a shock that I hate how terrible he was treated thoughout the HD.

They gave him so many issues that they never addressed unless it was a joke.

In canon he had terrible parents. We don’t know much about his dad other than he's presumably a dead beat and not around.

But, he has stated that his mom tells him she hates him and his grandma calls him a failure.

We see a few scenes where Jaspers says things like, "My parent don't like young people," and, "My parents don't like me to have fun things."

Then in the 'Future Piper' episode the future piper is acting erratically and compared to Jaspers mom, and in the 'Charlotte gets ghosted' episode the where Henry's parent through a raging party, the mess is compared to Jasper's house.

We see several other examples, like in S1.E13 'Let's Make a Steal' when Jasper breaks his nose, it's said that neither of his parents wanted to show up which is why Mr.Hart and Piper bitterly stayed with him.

In the 'Double-O Danger' episode it was revealed that Jasper's middle name is TBD meaning 'To Be Determined' because his parents split before giving him a real middle name.

Then again in S.3E4 'Mouth Candy' when Jasper was framed for stealing the candy boot and taken to jail, Henry had to call his mother and make up an excuse.

The conversation when like this:

Henry: "Heyyy, Mrs.Dunlop."

Her: *sounding annoyed* "Yeah, what?"

Henry: "Jaspers gonna be staying the night at my place tonight."

Her: "Oh cares?"

Henry: "Oh, you don't care?"

Her: *scoffs* "Nope. I gotta go." *hangs up*

[Laugh track plays in the background]

They made that whole conversation a joke, but it's actually really sad. It was obvious that his mother couldn't care at all where he was.

Which would explain his desperation for validation from Ray. He's seeking a parental figure because he doesn't have any.

This behavior seems to correlate with all classic signs of neglect and emotional abuse.

Jasper deserved better from his family, and better from nickelodeon.

The writers shouldn't have added theses serious themes if they were going to make it into a joke, they should have either addressed it seriously, or cut it entirely.
