...there is a big difference between stopping a refinery from poisoning your town, or stopping a pipeline, and stopping climate change. Where the goal is to protect the habitat of an endangered animal, as it was when ELF saboteurs burned down part of the Vail ski resort, sabotage is a relatively direct means to an end. But you can’t blow up climate change, except by blowing up so many things that you’d basically be at war. And even then, a solution to the problem of climate change and ecological collapse more broadly requires acts of creation as much as destruction. It is far easier to plan a bank robbery than the abolition of ecocidal class society. Pipelines and the forms of life they support will have to be replaced by new ways of living, new ways of doing things. Such a movement, a revolutionary, communist movement, would need to be against pipelines but, even more importantly, for these new ways of life.

World Heritage Day
Visit and support your local cultural icons and monuments, or travel to see some of the remarkable cultural heritage sites from all over the wide world.
Every day people all over the world celebrate their cultural heritage, simply by living their lives in a way that embodies who they are and where they came from. But one day a year is set aside to celebrate the joint history and heritage of the human race. World Heritage Day encourages us to celebrate all the world’s cultures, and to bring awareness to important cultural monuments and sites, and to espouse the importance of preserving the world’s cultures.
Learn about World Heritage Day
World Heritage Day, which is also known as the International Monuments and Sites Day, celebrates the work carried out by the ICOMOS – International Council on Monuments and Sites. The day is all about increasing the awareness of the importance of the diversity of cultural heritage and preserving it for generations in the future. Ancient monuments and buildings are an asset to us all around the world. However, they need to be protected to ensure that they continue to be an asset for years and years to come. Therefore, the day is a collective effort of communities around the globe.
On this day, there are a number of different events that happen all over the world. This includes a wide range of activities, conferences, and visits to heritage sites and monuments. For those who are unaware, a heritage site is basically a place that is of cultural significance. It preserves the legacy of intangible attributes and physical artifacts of a society or group that is inherited from previous generations.
There are truly some incredible heritage sites and monuments around the world. This includes the Machu Picchu, which is situated in the lush and mountainous terrain high above the Urubamba River in Peru. There are lots of amazing sights in Egypt, and the Pyramids of Giza are one of them. Other places of note include Bagan in Myanmar, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and the Great Wall of China.
History Of World Heritage Day
So the first (and possibly most confusing?) part of World Heritage Day is that that actually isn’t it’s a formal name. What is popularly known as World Heritage Day is actually called The International Day for Monument and Sites and was established in 1982 by the International Council for Monuments and Sites, or ICOMOS. This organization was established on the principles set forth in the Venice Charter, otherwise known as the 1964 International Charter on the Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Sites.
The organization was founded after a need was identified to protect these valued locations, and it saw the coming together of experts from hundreds of related fields. These include architects, engineers, geographers, civil engineers, and artists and archaeologists. Each year they work to help ensure that some of the world’s most beautiful sites and important cultural monuments remain preserved for future generations.
Since it’s inception it has grown to include almost 10,000 members in over 150 countries all over the world. Of these 10,000 members over 400 are members from institutions, national committees, and international scientific committees, all working together to save important sites and identify new ones that need to be added to the watch list.
2016 saw the addition of Gorham’s Cave Complex in the UK, the Khangchendzonga National Park in India, and the Persian Qanat in the Islam Republic of Iran. It’s through the tireless efforts of its members and leadership that these places will be preserved for future generations.
There is a theme that is assigned to each World Heritage Day. We would definitely recommend taking a look at the theme for each year, as it will help to give you some direction regarding how to celebrate the day. For example, some of the themes in recent years have included the likes of “Rural Landscapes” and “Shared Cultures, Shared Heritage, Shared Responsibility.”
How to celebrate World Heritage Day
Perhaps the most important way to celebrate World Heritage Day is to search out those locations near you that count as World Heritage Sites, and perhaps pay them a visit. Before doing so research the site and find out what steps are needed to protect it, and respect them during your visit. If you’re feeling more proactive, then perhaps consider submitting a site that you feel is worthy of being protected for it’s cultural importance to ICOMOS. Don’t let an important site disappear from the world, do your part on World Heritage Day to raise awareness and preserve it for future generations.
You should also take a look online to see if there are any events going on in your local area in honor of World Heritage Day. You will find that a lot of events take place to try and increase awareness regarding the preservation of important buildings and monuments. You can get involved in one of these events so that you can lend your support to these important causes. It should not be too difficult to find out what is going on in your local area. If your community has a local Facebook group, you can refer to this for more details.
It is also a good idea to spread awareness regarding this day with the people that you know. This is something you can do with ease via social media. You can post a message that informs your friends, followers, and family members of this day and encourage them to post something too. You could post a photo of one of the best international sites you have visited or one that is on your bucket list, and then ask your followers to reply with their choice. This is a great way of getting everyone involved and raising awareness about this date!

Here is the thing the only reason I reported Bernnyx to the discord subreddit was because her finally conversation with me sounded half like she felt bad for me and half-like-she-hated me and was siding with Mrdrawinglover, even though Mrdrawinglover bugged me on twitter and posted that 'kim people are dying' meme on one of my Deviations, he frequently told me to 'leave him alone' yet much like Jasper, he dedicated at least 4-5 posts to me (describing me in broad terms but it's still me).  Bern invited me to a mature server and she did not bother to tell me I was supposed to tell the mods my age.

It is worth noting that I did report Bern on the subreddit for discord and i don't deny that,  i just didn't take to losing her that well and may have been a bit too clingy. I reported Jasper and his friends on the character-tf-server but could not give any evidence of what they said about me because i had been banned.

Sunday 22nd Sept
Today we are off to the Columbia Icefield to walk on a glacier. A first for Bern and a second time for me. First time was walking Mt McKinley glacier in Alaska.
Originally we planned to drive from Banff to the glacier, a distance of 115 miles and the onto Jasper a distance of around 60 miles. Due to the recent wildfires in Jasper we had to cancel our visit there so we are now doing a round trip of 230 miles from Banff.
We left Banff stopping off at the welcome sign for a quick photo op. Being early we were third in line. We drove by yesterday adternoon and would have been about 20th. We then drove to Lake Louise (we are due to visit there tomorrow) along the scenic route, stopping at Morants curve for some pickies.

Can software destroy hardware? Can a class, acting strictly as a class, abolish all classes as the answer to a badly phrased question might by sheer force of obviousness cause the questioner to rise blankly and walk into the ocean, while the black flags cut from the robes of executed magistrates wave non-semaphorically, where hope ends and history starts.

Poll of Springfield
So, late at night, a few nights ago, I was wondering how the bellwether town of Springfield (the #Simpsons Springfield) would vote in the upcoming Presidential election. Political junkie that I am, I had to get up from bed and go over to my computer and figure it out.
Though I did my best to ask every member of the Springfield Community how they were going to vote, some refused to answer and no doubt I missed a few too. If you have any suggestions or you think anyone would vote differently, or if you can think of more fun quotes from residents of Springfield about this election, please post below!
Note: I even asked residents not of voting age, or who lost the right to vote due to previous felony convictions, and included their answers below, but not in the final poll tally.
Topline results:
Hillary Clinton 44%
Donald J. Trump 35%
Gary Johnson 6%
Other 4%
Undecided/Refused 11%
Homer J. Simpson
Though he wanted to vote for Trump, Marge said she’d never sleep with him again if he did, so that’s how he became a Democrat. Of course, it’s a pretty good bet he’ll punch the wrong button at the polling station as is his custom, so if he goes in wanting Hillary, we’ll count his vote for TRUMP!
Marge Simpson
HILLARY
Bart Simpson
“Deez-nuts” Note: not of voting age and won’t be counted in poll results.
Lisa Simpson
“Well, at first I wanted Bernie Sanders. He was so dreamy! Then, when he lost I thought I’d vote for the first female President, Dr. Jill Stein! She would ride in on a magical pony and free all the animals from circuses and make everyone vegan. Then I realized I’m supporting Hillary Clinton.” Note: not of voting age and won’t be counted in poll results.
"Grandpa" Abe Simpson
“I’m voting for Cal Coolidge! I like him because he’s quiet.”
Patty Bouvier
HILLARY “Of course I’m voting for the woman!”
Selma Bouvier
HILLARY.
Montgomery Burns
TRUMP “Well, he wasn’t my first choice, but at least the young orange-haired young man isn’t a communist!”
Waylon Smithers
TRUMP Gays for Trump!
Moe Szyslak
TRUMP “I know how this works, see. I get in for Trump now and he lets me name a drink after him and charge twice as much. That’s why I like him, an honest politician.”
Barney Gumble
Passed out, no answer
Kent Brockman
HILLARY But I need to be discreet about it, being a card-carrying member of the media elite. That and I don’t want Trump’s goons to beat me up.
Mayor Quimby
HILLARY I’ve been with Hillary from da start! Bill and I used to hang out…”
Lenny Leonard and Carl Carlson
Will cancel one another’s votes, Lenny is leaning Trump and Carl is leaning Hillary
Krusty The Clown
Member of the Springfield Republican Central Committee, JOHNSON, “Oy, this is the choice I have? I’d never vote for her, and what’s he doing with the anti-Semitic retweets and hey, I’m supposed to be the clown here.”
Doctor Hibbert
Member of the Springfield Republican Central Committee, TRUMP “Well I liked Dr. Ben Carson, but I suppose Trump will do.”
Ned Flanders
Undecided “Oh lord, how did we wind up with such diddly awful candidates? I think I’ll just write in Ronald Reagan.”
Kang and Kodos
“TRUMP! We want Trump to be subjugator of the masses!” Note: not of voting age and won’t be counted in poll results,
Comic Book Guy
JOHNSTON “Well I liked Bernie of course, but now I like Gary Johnson. Polar opposite? Methinks not.”
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
HILLARY “Oh my goodness, even though I am Hindu not Muslim I do not think that Mr. Trump knows the difference. He is a very bad man.”
Manjula Nahasapeemapetilon
HILLARY
Seymour Skinner

this bit from Jasper Bernes' "Letter from a Tottering State" is I think a nice expression of the usefulness but also the risks of the demand. Johann Kaspar in "We Demand Nothing" is also positive -
The demand is a tool for self-organization. It unifies separated individuals against a common enemy toward a common good. It is the unification of the exploited based upon a common enunciation, “We want X”. The demand becomes a self-mediation, a self-constitution of the undifferentiated masses into a singular one, a subject who demands. Demands, in others words, are processes of subjectification. Individuals act as class, and in that class action they become subjects and no longer merely objects of capital.
but then also seeks to point out this kind of recognition paradigm-problem. he's also seeking to defend outbursts of rioting etc. that don't necessarily have express demands. so. not to be a postie about it but I think the actual line is more one of making express what demands can and can't do and their benefits and risks.
So like where does the post left/anarchist "don't make demands because the system grants you the thing and not You" come from because honestly it's giving op like not to do the ml everyone who's mean to me is a cia op but if I were to get paid by the cia to come up with a line of praxis it would be that ver batim

[O]ver the last thirty-years […] [i]n advanced capitalist or post-industrial economies, growth has occurred primarily in industries involved with the circulation or realization of commodities (transport and retail); industries designed to manage the reproduction of capital (finance) or labor (education, health care); and finally industries concerned with the administration of flows of goods and bodies (information technology, clerical work, data-processing). Capital depends more and more on erstwhile unproductive spheres that accelerate and direct flows of capital and labor from site to site, quickening their turnover and reproduction. The expansion of finance is the central manifestation of this shift, but even the supposedly miraculous effects of information technology seem to have mattered less as a way to increase productivity than as a way to decrease the costs of circulation and administration. […] The collapse of an autonomous worker’s identity is an effect of this fragmentation – there can be no stable standpoint of labor when labor and labor-process itself are broken down into globally-dispersed segments, and then stitched together by a growing pool of proletarianized technical and clerical workers. And since the space of the market, of exchange, is where these fragmented parts come together – where the working-class is itself reassembled, it should come as no surprise that this is where contestation primarily erupts. The blockading of urban flows, the smashing and looting of shops – these tactics are given, in a way, by the material coordinates of the current mode of production.
Jasper Bernes, “The Double Barricade and the Glass Floor,” in Communization and Its Discontents: Contestation, Critique, and Contemporary Struggles (edited by Benjamin Noys, Minor Compositions, 2011), pp. 160–1.

... as partisan forces have found ways to push forward in June, July, and now August, they have tried to make who they are and what they believe known, for those willing to stop and read what has been graffitied onto the walls. After the first explosion in mid-June, this work of clarification dominated, and the riots turned with particular focus toward acts of iconoclasm, beginning first with statues to the Confederacy in the South and then turning to other examples of monumental white supremacy.
In San Francisco, for example, far outside the theater of the Civil War, the parks and plazas are dotted instead with monuments to Spanish colonization and later Anglo settlement. When statues began falling in other cities in early June, the city preemptively took down the twelve-foot-tall Christopher Columbus in North Beach, after getting word that a march would target it. No matter, iconoclastic youth went to Golden Gate Park and took down the big statue to Junipero Serra, the eighteenth-century Franciscan priest whose archipelago of prisons and military fortresses up and down the California coast, where indigenous captives from dozens of tribes were tortured and enslaved, forms the architectural template for most institutions in the state. Next, however, they took down a statue of Ulysses S. Grant, the Union military leader who defeated General Robert E. Lee, ending the Civil War, and four years later, as President, enforced Southern Reconstruction, repressed the Ku Klux Klan, and pushed for passage of the Fourteenth Amendment (which granted explicit equal protection under the law to emancipated slaves). He also ruthlessly opened up the American West for settlement, effectively declaring war on the tribal nations of the Plains and the far West.
Where liberal commentators find ignorant, nihilist excess, wrecking things without regard for historical meaning, they often overlook the active thinking of the movement, developed on the spot. In San Francisco, crowds pulling down the non-Confederate statues to Ulysses Grant, to Francis Scott Key, and others, offered explicit justification, tagging the base with explanatory epithets, as those in attendance and passers-by debated the relevant points. In refusing the memorializations of settler violence and plantation slavery on offer, in drawing connections public history won’t, between Southern slavery and the settlement of the West, despite the conflicts opposing the ruling class fractions involved in both, such actions stand US history on its feet and set its sentimental mythology on its head. They also link, in memory, and raise banners to the two most important political moments in the 2010s, which we might name, metonymically, Ferguson and Standing Rock, the first the defining moment of the Black Lives Matter sequence before 2020 and the second referring to the struggle by Dakota Sioux activists and others against the Dakota Access Pipeline, which targeted the infrastructure of ecocidal capitalism directly.
Trump amplified these connections. His response to the wave of statue topplings was to hold a campaign rally at Mt. Rushmore in the Black Hills, the sacred Sioux site defaced by giant busts of Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. In response, indigenous protesters blockaded the entrance to the site, fighting with the police and eventually the National Guard. Trump’s instincts here as everywhere provide a moral foil for the movement, establishing continuity where none might have existed. In doing so, he draws toward himself and toward the Federal government antagonism that might have remained more dispersed.

“If we want to reorganize the economy and the way that we live in a way that makes sense, that isn't crazy, we're going to have to break the link of these global markets, and we're going to have to find ways to feed ourselves and make shelter and produce the things we need using less energy - and that means localizing a lot of production. But at the same time, that process, to be successful, needs to be a global process and you can still build connections between people thousands of miles away - there can be another kind of globalization built on assistance and solidarity and communication.”

I too have a job, I have friends who love me, I do mainly just write about what I like. And also I just think Jasper saying my AI written 'ripoffs' are void of creativity when he doesn't post full stories anymore and just hides them behind patreon, is kind of hypocritical. I have never said that I personally thought Anonymousdevi was him, I only thought that because of one paragraph in the document (and the person who made the account did not confess their identity), the fact Jasper asks me for how old I was at the time of bern being my roleplay partner (it was not sexual to me at least, since I don't view transformation as a fetish), even though I have explained at least twice or three times i'm in my 30's (it's just I did not change the birthdate on my deviantart account and for a while kept it public).
