Finished the rest of the comic! I'm really proud of how the last two pages (the double spread) turned out.

I DM'd an RP campaign for two different groups in Guild Wars 2 for the release of Janthir Wilds. I like done of the scenes so much I made a whole 8 page comic out of it. I NPC'd Colby while players from both sides scrambled to save him from the ghosts that literally and figuratively haunted him.

Finished the first 4 pages of my comic! This scene was extracted from a roleplay campaign that I DM'd called Stains of the Past. In this RP campaign, I DM'd a single story for two completely different groups of people who had little affiliation with each other. This section of the story features @sloweststarter's Eoghanann, a Sylvari revenant.

Mabaki picked up the spear

The biggest pain was probably recreating the symbol from Solar Spear (Spear4) and deciphering what was written so I could get the correct font/type lmao.

I'm trying not to think too hard on the perspective. I've been staring at this too long that I'm just going to let it go... It is what it is now LMAO auuhhh Because I'm never satisfied 😂

I gotta talk about Vanak Faithwalker, an Astral Ward charr who is part of the Amnytas Meta event. And now potentially confirmed a nonbinary character.

They have a feminine charr model, while their voice is deep and masculine, I absolutely adore how their voice sounds and how they look. I always wondered what they identified by, but there was no clues anywhere in SotO.

But now in Janthir Wilds, we meet them again and get some confirmation via the Commander's journals.

Vanak is referred to by 'they' in the Commander's journals. As shown below. (Chapter 1 and chapter 2 journal snippets below.)

So the letter you get when FIRST starting the Janthir expansion actually says different things, and is sent by different people, depending on what race you're playing on.

Below is every version of the letter for every race, in no particular order:

Here's my tentative review of Janthir Wilds

Ok I’m seeing a lot of (very deserved) love for Lowland Shore, which is definitely a great map, but I feel like there isn’t a lot of talk about Janthir Syntri.

Which like, I understand that there’s not as much to do there compared to Lowland Shore. There isn’t as much variety with its events and the Hearts aren’t as fun to complete.

But by god, did they nail the atmosphere.

Janthir has always been an ominous place. We knew of its connection to the Mursaat and the bloody history of the White Mantle. Even just looking at it on the map, both in GW2 and all the other at back in GW Prophecies, it’s looked unsettling and dangerous.

And when we get to actually go to Janthir Syntri, it feels unsettling. The black sand shores, the constant rain, the bloodstone warping the terrain.

But it’s also gorgeous. Theres still life there. Dangerous life, but grass and trees grow, and wildlife thrives.

And back to the bloodstone, it’s eerie yet somewhat beautiful. It’s insane to see shattered pieces of bloodstone merging with the local flora!

And the northeastern shore littered with bones… AH!

It’s just a lovely map.
