Imagine being Janna’s best friend and her taking you on weird adventures 

How did Janna get the two of them into these situations [Name] did not know but as much as her more rational side wanted to decline Janna’s invitations, she just couldn’t bring herself to. While these Jannanigans - the name [Name] decided to call these adventures - did put them in danger most of the time, they were also really fun and she always enjoy spending time her friend. Which is why when Janna showed up on her doorsteps early Friday morning asking is she wanted to hang out, [Name]’s answer was a clear and resounding “yes.”

Which led the duo to their current situation of standing face-to-face with a skeleton. While most people would have run away, and [Name] was certainly thinking of doing that at first as it growled at them, Janna was quick to squash that plan. Instead, she grabbed the skeleton by the shoulders and pushed it down, causing it to bend down. “Come one. We have to take a picture with it!”

“A picture! Are you sure that’s the best idea?”

“Of course it is. How many times are you going to be able to take a picture with a skeleton?” 

Letting out a sigh, [Name] knew she was right. “Okay but I want to be on the skeleton’s shoulder. I want to feel really tall.”

If Janna is getting more episodes/protagonism and stays in the Monster Castle, and many fans (me included) speculate that Toffee is coming back to the plot/show this April.

I wonder, what would their interaction be like? Would Star and company use her to make the lizard cooperate with them? Is it possible that Janna is so creepy that he can creep out Toffee himself?

He convinces Marco that he’s gonna change his name to Marco. Janna was never actually considering doing this, he just did it as a prank.

His favorite color is still pink. Screw gender stereotypes.

It’s hard at first for him to correct people on pronouns/names, although he tries to act nonchalantly about it. He grows more confident, though.

I imagine trans Janna to be the kind of person who wants to fully medically transition, and isn’t daunted by the prospect.

Remember how he can drop his pulse to zero for sixty seconds? He’s used that trick to scare the crap out of transphobes more than once.

How I feel about this character

Star is my baby girl and I love her dearly, she’s a complex flawed heroine that really was doing her best in a bad situation. And really the post-series hate she’s been getting is mostly unwarranted since like...Ya girls been forced to make heavy adult decisions non fucking stop since the end of season 2 and whetehr destroying Magic was the right decision or not it makes perfect sense that she’d come to see the damn stuff as an overall net negative on the world.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

TENYA IIDA-She’s got a type and that’s the nerdy bois, but like nerdy bois who are also half jocks. Also Iida would be good for her. Marco’s nice but he’s mostly an enabler for her more wild tendancies, as is Tom, Ya Boi Iida would actively challenge her and encourage her to grow.

Hiro Hamada-again, nerdy bois, but Hiro would be an interesting and fun outlet for her to grow through since they’re both very young and able to grow together

Kelly- one of my big complains of seasons 3 and 4 is that we never really got any Star and Kelly one-on-one hangouts. She was a former Bounce Crew member too you’d think she and Star would have their own dynamic.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Actually wasn’t all that bad of a girlfriend to Tom? At least not in relation to how 15 year olds who are dealing with WAY TOO MUCH OTHER STUFF can be. In fact I’d argue that either of them probably should have known better than to get back together int he first place from how much shit was happening. A lot of the Star hate surrounding the eventual dissolution of Startom is actually perfectly consistent with how she’s always acted around friends. if anything the issue with star lied in the fact that she DID just kinda treat Tom as a friend. She’d take Cheap Pot Shots at him like how she does to Marco and Ponyhead, she’d double book herself and try to juggle everything because she refuses to let one person feel more or less important than the other. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

No matter how much sense it makes with her character, I still REALLY wish she’d been able to find another way to stop Mina. like... a spell for Solaria to possess her and SHE could call off the army or something. Something i’ve considered for my big ‘Star in BNHA’ AU is basically where in the battle against the Solarians all of the friends she’s made along the way, Mewman and Human, all come together to wield the magic of the queens that came before to heal the Magic dimension as one.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I honestly can only Imagine Janna seeing her concept of attraction as a distraction and general nuisance than anything beneficial. The other person will have to do the pursuing because no matter if she thinks you’re hot, she’s not interested in you beyond a passing appraising glance.

therefore all of my appreciation toward Janna ships is lightly thinking about how Hilarious and excruciating the courting process must have been. Like a montage of valentines stuffed into her locker being casually incinerated spare the chocolate she’s already eaten, a single rose left on her desk casually getting its petals collected and dried for a spell. if you throw a pebble at her window to serenade her, you’re getting a bucket of water dumped on your head.

Janna is the only teen in Star Vs to not give anything RESEMBLING a shit toward romance and I don’t care how cute anyone thinks their ships are, i’m still taking that to it’s natural extreme.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

really would have liked a Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy esque episode that was entirely Kelly, Ponyhead, and Janna making some mischief. That could have easily been one of the funniest episodes in the entire series.

What would a Janstar wedding be like?

Ooh!

Instantly I think of what decor there would be. There’d be heaps of magic put into the theme and decorations, and of course elements of the occult. Dark and creepy stuff would be representing Janna, and light and colourful stuff representing Star. Their wedding cake would totally be a mix of the two and it would look amazing. 

I can see the both of them wearing dresses, Janna’s would be gothic and black while Star’s would be cute and white. Orrr Janna could be wearing a black tux, or even a pink dress!

I don’t have the creative capacity right now to think of wedding vows, but they’d definitely allude to when they first became close, how far they had come with their friends to lovers dynamic, and how much they trust and love each other. 

It’d certainly be a grand and celebratory event. After all, the Mewmans for the first time in history have two queens. Imagine how exciting that would be! 

All their friends and family would be present. The Ordonia’s, the Butterfly’s (Meteora, Eclipsa and Globgor too), the Diaz’s and the Lucitor’s! Magical friends such as Ponyhead, Buffrog, Kelly, and Ruberiot and friends from Earth - Jackie, Oskar, Alfonso and Ferguson included. Obviously Glossaryck and unfortunately the Magic High Comission. 

I bet they’d even pay heaps to get Love Sentence to perform for their reception.

What would a Star vs the Forces of Evil live action movie look like?

I don't know, I'm bored lol. So, just for fun, let's imagine a live action movie movie based on the show.

Without knowing a thing of season 3-B, let's suppose they defeat Eclipsa, Meteora or whoever becomes the true villain of the show by the end of it. But they're not killed off. They're either crystallized or just exiled.

Place this movie 15 years after the end of the show. Star and Marco married, now Queen and King of Mewni. They have a daughter who's 10 years old. Tom and Janna (who now has knowledge of dark magic herself) eventually got together, now they rule the Underworld together. Pony Head is also ruling over the cloud kingdom. Kelly took Mina's place as "Mewni's Bravest Warrior". Moon and River are still around in the castle, but Moon left the title of Queen to take her position as an official member of the Magic High Commission. Glossaryck is training the Butterfly princess, who still doesn't possess the wand. She's learning the spells from a very young age, as her mother recommended. She's the opposite of Queen Star when she was her age. Everything seems to be in peace.

But evil has found its way back. Eclipsa and her daughter Meteora have returned. But their eyes are not on Mewni anymore, they want to conquer a larger yet weaker dimension: Earth. Alongside their army, they represent a huge threat. Of course, Queen Star knows it's her responsibility to defend her husband's home. Her second home.

Thus, the center of LA becomes a battlefield. It begins with the Evil Army against the police forces. Star and Marco arrive just in time to help them. Eventually more allies come to help: the mewman knights (commanded by Higgs), the monsters of Mewni (who now live in peace with the rest of the kingdom), the Pony Heads, the Magic High Commission, the underworld forces, Ludo and his siblings and even Buff Frog and Miss Skullnick!

Eclipsa is defeated and it all comes down to Star vs Meteora. The former princesses of Good and Evil, the first one on her Butterfly form, the second in her full Monster form. Star loses her wand during the fight and it looks like she's about to lose. But she didn't count on something: her daughter wasn't as opposite as her as she thought. Going against her mother's orders, she traveled to earth. She took the wand, now adapted to her, and casted the spell that finished the heinous Meteora once and for all. The peace is here again, this time for a very long time. Queen Star is now convinced that her daughter will be a better leader than herself one day.

Why I like them: excuse me how can you not like janna. jesus christ, she’s honestly everything i wish i was lmao.

Why I don’t: BRUHHH.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): oh god this is so hard to answer, literally any episode she’s in is made a thousand times better because she is truly a legend. i tried to choose but i cant lol.

Favorite season/movie: season 2 ofc lol.

Favorite line: the one about not wanting to like pink bc of gender stereotypes. relatable. also this isn’t a line, but 100% the bit where she smacks marco’s arse and smells her hand.

janna still doesn’t make a lot of friends for the next few years bc she just doesn’t easily take a liking to certain types of people.

oh yea she always constantly worries that she annoys jackie bc she hangs out with her a lot (Jackie doesn’t mind and she’s mentioned it a few times bc SHES SO CHILL) like sometimes jackie will be hanging out with her friends and janna just avoids them and sits by herself and jackie will just ditch them to hang out with janna bc she knows how lonely janna actually is but will never admit it.
