Stancy doesn't make sense. They want drastically different things.

Nancy wants to be a reporter, be free, and not to be like her parents.

Steve wants a family, to settle down, to have kids and a wife.

It wouldn't make sense for them to be endgame, it would be like a big fuck you to everything Nancy wants and is. It would be saying to young girls it doesn't matter what your dreams are, you're gonna marry and have kids anyway.

jonathan and nancy depict the woman taking the lead in the relationship while the man supports her.

it would make so much sense if the final endgame couple would be mike and will.

i don’t understand how people constantly say Jonathan is a bad boyfriend, when he’s one of the only people who has ever cared about Nancy’s dreams and aspirations besides Karen. Have they had their issues? Sure, but to say he’s a terrible boyfriend when all he has ever wanted for her was the absolute best, is crazy.

the "mike can't say ily because he comes from a loveless family" argument really makes no sense

they cite nancy having the same problem with steve, but that's literally not what happened

she DID say she loved steve. TO HIS FACE. in the first episode of season 2. he said "i love you" and she said "i love you too"

SHE LIED TO HIS FACE.

she couldn't say she loved him when she was explicitly asked wether it was true or not, even though she clearly said it many times before. she couldn't say it when she was confronted with wether she actually means it or not, because she knows she doesn't.

it has nothing to do with the wheeler family and everything to do with nancy's feelings towards steve and jonathan and her running from her true self.

and the same thing happens with mike. he says he loves el, and then for some reason can't say it anymore, even though he wanted to tell her in season 3. el says "you don't love me anymore?" because mike had already said it once before.
