Merry Christmas, friends! I got you some festive (and hopefully useful) gifts to celebrate, because what else are friends for? First off, I got you all a planner for the upcoming year. Hopefully, it will be useful in the upcoming year when you continue to do amazing things. The next gift was definitely a labor of love, but I crocheted everyone some ornaments for your tree. Hoping it looks nice on your tree in the upcoming year! Next, I got cozy slippers, because who doesn't like festive slippers? And finally, some peppermint bark (also made by me) because everyone needs a sweet treat during the holiday season. Enjoy your Christmas day, and I hope the next year is kind to you!

YSBLF is (to me) made by Betty's pov; but we need to think about how confused Armando has because Betty changed from water to wine (in a bad way). And after their second night. So in a (kinda) cute scene, Armando has that sparkling eyes because he really wants to be with her again; but we-- the viewer and Betty, knows that she knows about The Plan and that makes me sad because he was being genuine.
BUT boom! In the next day, she just appears with Nicolas in a very suspicious way. And then in the next days/weeks, Armando goes to a mental spiraling that, in the scene before La Junta, he says to her that he knows she doesn't love him anymore 😭
So there's a song that I think it fits in this phase:
LET ME OUT - BEN'S BROTHER
writers: Jamie Hartman / Rosi Golan
You sit and you stare and you wait and you wonder
You think "Maybe it's me and I'm being a fool."
You start to believe it's a curse that you're under
And you're just a doll for a girl who is cruel
With a pin
So let me out
Or let me in
And tell me how, we can win
Cause I really wanna know now
Before I begin
To let you go (to let you go)
So let me know
I'd rather be wandering hungry and homeless
Than here in the warmth of a silent defeat
You've gotta be honest with me and be ruthless
Instead of shifting uncomfortably there in your seat
How do you think LT3 is going to sound like? More rock type like OOMS and Silver Tongues and Back to you rock version? Or do you think Louis will do a similar thing like FITF when he try different types of sounds/genres?
I don't know! I have kind of thought that for at least part of the album we might get more electronic sounds like All This Time and She Is Beauty. Louis said before that he had wanted to play with that sound but he was concerned about it (whether it would go over with the fans, but also I think because he was trying so hard to establish his sound as an indie rock artist and even though those sounds are SO trendy and popular in that scene right now he didn't want to be seen as still doing JHO type stuff I think?) but he just put a little bit on the album anyway as a risk- and I assume at this point he's aware that he CAN get away with that! SIBWAWC will never be one of his most streamed tracks, so he may still have some reservations about going all in in that direction, but the popularity of the megamix live and the love for All This Time has to have helped with that, so if it's still something he feels like messing with I imagine he'll be doing that.
And I sure hope we'll get more rock-y punky songs!! I MEAN LISTEN TO HOW GOOD THEY ARE??? And getting BTY rock version now (and him having Steve move the live show arrangements in that direction) tells us he's still interested in that and loving it. I mean he has said many times that that was the sound he was working towards, he's shared a bunch of bands doing stuff like that with us, and he's gushed about working with the people who were able to make that happen the way he wanted (like Dave Gibson and Jamie Hartman) and I'm sure he has been/ will be working with them again. He said FITF was still him moving towards where he wanted to be, a bridge album, rather than the final destination, so I don't think he'll go off in some other direction- I think it will be more of the same but MORE most likely?
But whatever he does, it's gonna HIT. He has the ear, he knows what's gonna work and how to get there and honestly he's never let us down yet- I can't WAIT!
Below the cut are all of the folks who I used (and asked to be credited) for recordings in Museum at Tomorrow episode 5- specifically, the "This is not for You" recordings.
(The list was too long for podcast episode descriptions)
These recordings were mixed into the soundscape of the show, heavily processed- so you may or may not be able to pick out your voice. Each unique recording is preserved as rhythem, timber, and shape within the episode.
Thank you for your work in creating the canvas of this piece.
Don't worry, we haven't forgotten activity checks! Lindsey and I have been working behind the scenes at ironing out some changes to how we do activity checks, to give you guys a little more leniency while allowing us to stay on top of things with less stress / guilt.
Starting on Monday, May 8th, our activity requirements will be changing. Any account inactive for two weeks will be automatically unfollowed. Accounts that are inactive for one week, display inconsistent activity and/or are not replying to open starters will be warned. Checks will be done twice a month -- once at the beginning/end, and once in the middle. That should give people plenty of time in between and also a little more structure. I will have a more detailed post on this on Monday, as well as adjusting our rules then, so if you have any questions, please ask!
Another thing that we are introducing at this point in time is our 'extended reserve for future use' section, in which players can now reserve one face that they plan on developing a character around. Only one, however! We don't want to encourage face hogging, and if a significant amount of time passes, we will reach out to check and see if you're still moving forward with said character. We know (from our own current experiences!) that it can sometimes take much, much longer than one week to properly research and develop a character, and want to extend that courtesy to our writers.
So! To get everyone on the same page and with a fresh, clean start, we are giving everyone this weekend to contact us and interact with this post. If you are good to go, just like it, we'll cross you off the list and your roles are yours. If you need to drop or swap, or pause anyone, or make any changes, let us know! Happy to help.
PLEASE LIKE THIS POST TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOU'VE READ IT AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP YOUR ROLES!
Anna -- Sylvia Cuenco-Burke, Reyna Delgadillo, Jayla Hopkins, Alec Jacobs, Wesley James, Corrine Khang, Cathy Pacheco, Esperanza Tamayo.
MOD NOTE: I will cross names off of this list as they like the post and/or reach out to us. Those on hiatus automatically get a pass for now, and have been exempted. If you have not responded by Friday morning, we will tag you, just to give you a little notice. Unfollows for those who have not interacted with and/or messaged us will be done on Monday.

The Impossible Players Open Christmas Belles… are you listening?
The Impossible Players of Pueblo, CO. in grand tradition open the holiday season with Christmas Belles, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. The production opened Friday, 25th November, with an audience eager to begin the holiday season. The Impossible Players, or “Imps” as they are known locally, who claim the title of the oldest community theater troupe this side of the Mississippi, opened their holiday season with this new production – the second in a trilogy written by the same team – to an enthused audience.
The Impossible Playhouse, where the production is being staged, was lavishly decorated with Christmas themed elements from the main lobby all the way up to the stage. Candles, trees, twinkle lights, garlands, and wrapping paper line the walls of the playhouse to generate an authentic Christmas feeling for all visitors who are encouraged to participate in the show by it’s conclusion. It’s clear that first-time director Billy Herrington was determined to go all-in with his directorial debut.
“Growing up in the south, Christmas isn’t just another holiday, it’s a way of life.” Mr. Herrington declares.
“Covid messed up too many things,” comments one member of the audience. “Sometimes it feels like we’re still recovering from that. But these guys did their best to keep going even when everything else closed down and everyone was just in a (expletive omitted) mood about everything. These guys kept going and damned if I didn’t need the laughs. It’s also good to feel that holiday spirit with everything going on in the world.”
By the performance's conclusion, another attendee commented, "That Santa was an ornery old cuss. I loved it!"
The story of Belles centers on the small fictional town of Fayro, Texas. Wherein the famous Futrelle Sisters are caught up hopelessly in their own lives while trying to bring the community together for a Christmas pageant with a new spin that includes everything from camel costumes to the arrival of Elvis. At the center of the chaos is Honey Ray Futrelle, played by long time Impy Marlo Angel-Hartman, who is tasked with putting together and directing the Christmas pageant replacing the previous director Geneva, played by Donna Hickman. Geneva, in grand Texas fashion, refuses to give up the position without a fight and does what she can to manage different facets of the production, much to the dismay of Honey Ray.
In traditional family togetherness, Honey Ray has her two sisters to lean on for support. Twink, played by Gina Mann and Frankie, played by Melissa Santistevan. Twink’s help is limited by the fact that she’s currently a ward of the state on a work release program and shadowed by a sheriff’s deputy, played by Dave Conley. And the final sister, Frankie, is heavy with unborn twins that are long overdue and she’s hoping that constant activity will “give these two freeloaders some incentive”. Together, the sisters band together to keep the production lively and cheery through the midst of cast members who get sick, reneging celebrities, confused medications with delirious effects, last minute cast replacements, and shocking family revelations.
The ensemble of the cast include a combination of newcomers and veterans, Maranda Sandoval, William Hambric, Amber Shipley, Johnny Lucero, Jennifer Lunde-Elder, and Rich Keilholtz. The show opened to laughter, gags, and comedic facial expressions that the Impys are famous for and deliver it, they do!
The performances continue tonight, 26th November, as well as 2nd, 3rd, and 4th December – which is the matinee at 2 PM. As well as 9th and 10th December. House opens at 7 PM, curtain goes up at 7:30 PM. The playhouse is located at 1201 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO. 81003. Reservations can be made by calling (719) 542-6969 or you can follow the Impossible Players on Instagram and Facebook.
omg i’d love to know more about how he got these people to work work him-was it word off mouth and someone recommended louis to them or did louis just believed in himself and told matt that he wanted to write with these people?👀 also i’m still really surprised that jamie hartman didn’t write anything on this album with louis because they way louis talked about him i thought they will write so many songs he in the future
Yeah, I'm so curious! One of the writers said he got a call asking if he wanted meet Louis to write together - but he didn't say who called him. I know Robert Harvey commented on one Charlie's pictures saying he had a song for Louis but idk if that was their first interaction.
But as Louis said - it's pretty cool that they all wanted to work with Louis and from all their posts about the album they seem to love the songs as much as Louis did.
He did write with Jamie Hartman in 2020 (they were together on Oct 1st when Walls rose on the iTunes charts) but I guess Louis went in a different direction in the end.
