Okay, my imagination has officially run away with me
so, after this post, I really had the urge to watch Hercules and now I actually have that Ed/Bart Hercules AU (that nobody asked for) forming in my head

One where Bart is Hercules with super speed and Ed is Meg - already jaded by life and under the control of Lex as hades - who owns his soul and his powers. the league are the gods of Olympus and the Light fills the ranks of the underworld, Jay and Joan are the couple who raise Bart, the muses are made up of the OG team girlies - M’gann, Zatanna, Raquel and Artemis but Cassie is also one as well
then I think Wally is Phil
and Jaime would fit into the Pegasus role
and that’s all I got as of yet for the roles

With whatever deal Ed originally makes to Lex - I haven’t figured out if it’s a similar saving a past love situation, like Meg, or maybe something involving his dad or even just trying to help a stranger who he thought was in need - he loses his powers and must do Luthor's bidding, which is what gets him stuck in the bind with whoever he’s meeting for the businessman, that Bart determines as an ‘I need to save this person’ situation. Lex then gives him the power back so Ed can get close to Bart and figure out his weakness. The power is then stripped away from Ed in front of Bart in order to convince him to sign away his own powers - which he does. Then, now being free, they’re finally fully back for the big Meg saves Hercules moment
this version would consist of Bart, having signed away his speed, not being fast enough to notice the big heavy object that’s about to squash him, and Ed, with his powers back, teleporting in to push Bart out of the way and ultimately taking the fatal hit which then breaks lex’s deal and gives Bart his powers back. Bart saves the league but isn’t fast enough to get back to Ed before he succumbs to his injuries
leading into the finale that I haven’t figured out yet

and that’s all I got.

Newish Comics:
Batman #146: okay so this story is finally actually picking up from where The Gotham War left off, with the same fault lines still in place. This is good actually! I am very soft that Damian's determined to keep believing in Bruce (especially as they're also spending quality time together over in Batman & Robin). Also I'm still enjoying Vandal Savage being annoying (sorry not sorry).
Birds of Prey #8: This comic is being written for queer women who like reading about women and I for one salute the entire team for their (fan)service. Excuse me. Several of those Barda panels and Dinah screaming for Barbara are going on my iconic list immediately.
Blue Beetle #8: Roma quits, Oo’li has a crush on Jaime, Jaime finally finds out Brenda is working for Victoria, and Victoria just gets even more on-page evil. I can't believe this is the last storyline we're getting before this gets cancelled, dammit.
Shazam! #10: I had to stop to howl with laughter about every third panel of this. Do yourself a favour. Read Shazam! Darla’s flying with Hoppy on a Pegasus. Freddy just got his licence and bought the Shaz-van! Also omg the lettering for the dragons!
DC’S Spring Breakout! #1: A mixed bag.
The Harley Quinn and King Shark story certainly happened (and I've read better versions of it).
The Batman and Mr Freeze story was quite predictable but sweet. Hit all the right notes in the space awarded to it.
MegFitz had a World's Finest Teen Titans story it felt, well, very MegFitz. She was writing characters in roles rather than writing the characters. On the upside Garth actually got to be the hero, so that made me happy.
The Metal Men story I honestly couldn't judge on characterisation but it was workmanlike. I was amused by the random Atlantean surfer.
The Katana story however was GOOD and delightfully creepy and just really fun Tatsu writing. Highlight of the issue for me.
The Lex Luthor story was incredibly funny in that Lex is there complaining about the damned aliens and how "The forces against us grow in number by the day" with a picture that includes Kon. I'm pretty sure you don't remember why that's hilariously ironic at this point, Lex, but Kon was very much your own fault here. (Lex also saying to Jason 'having trouble digging yourself out of the grave? Skill issue!)
J'onn story! J'onn getting screwed over again by Batman protocols! (This isn't nice, J'onn had one of the worst protocols of the lot, and all I can think is that this far, FAR milder route of attack is Bruce realising how far the other plan was over the line). But the dual shapeshifter fight scene was quite fun. This was probably my second favourite.
The Superman and Jimmy story was...fine. Why is Manchester Black alive and annoying people? This just felt mostly like lead in to current stories (whatever is happening with Zod and Absolute Power).
The Warlord #46: this week in the Lost World of Skartaris Travis is still hunting Jennifer’s trail when he and Shakira end up in a fight with a dinosaur.
Travis gets knocked around, but Shakira is so badly injured that
Death comes to claim her!
Tumblr media
I have never been apart from you, my Champion. I have walked where you walked — drunk the lives you have spilled. I am ever at your side.
Travis then follows Death trying to convince her to return Shakira, into a cavern in hell.
Tumblr media
I really like this art for Death?
In any case, Travis negotiates with her to get Shakira back and trades her 10 years of his life.
Tumblr media
And Travis and Shakira return to Skartaris. Both alive.
Meanwhile Jennifer arrives at the mysterious tower of the ‘master’ of the hunchbacked man who has been leading her.

DamiRae Hospital AU?
No I am not writing one, if I could write well I would though! So here are some HCs for a hospital AU.    If someone decides to write this then I’ll be your first reader. Also I am sort of basing things off of Grey’s Anatomy just a bit and my limited knowledge of the medical field.
- Starts of as 1st year residents, specialties may vary
- The “Titans” are residents and 1st years that show great promise, this doesn’t really play a role its just what people call them behind their backs
- Dr. Kori Anders is a OBGYN (women parts and birth) resident, a year or two away from finishing
- Dr. Richard “Dick” Grayson is is a surgery resident, trained by the hospital owner Bruce Wayne (who is a world renowned surgeon, has awards, etc), specifically general surgery
- Dr. Garfield Logan is pediatrician (kid doctor) res, bonds well with kids, but is considering going back to school to become a vet instead
- Dr. Jaime Reyes is an oncology (cancer doctor), having had cancer as a teen and is now forever trying to rid the world of it, works mostly with kids and teens
- Dr. Jonathan Kent is a physical therapist that works with pain management. Up beat guy and is always trying to brighten his patient’s lives.
- Dr. Damian Wayne is a surgical intern, blood thirsty little thing, hoping to become a neurosurgeon (brain, spine) (or cardiothoracic (heart, lungs) both are competitive)
- Dr. Raven Roth is an anesthesiologist (the drug person that knocks you out) and is starting her surgical internship (she wanted to do more than just help people get high essentially or whatever) has no current preference for any specific surgical field
- Add in characters:
-- Dr. Jason Todd, trauma surgeon (fits too well)
-- Dr. Timothy Drake diagnostician (medical detective basically)
-- Dr. Donna Troy gynecologist
-- Terra Markov is a nurse (i don’t like Terra but nurses are the actual best)
- Story stuff:
- Damian and Raven meet as they are put under the guidance of the same resident
-Damian has an automatic dislike for Raven because she knows everyone already and is equally, if not much more, knowledgable about surgery, the OR, the ER, protocol, etc  He also thinks she is cold because she rarely shows emotion (pot kettle Damian)
- Raven can always be found in the medical archives researching old cases and studying new ones, Damian stumbles upon her when looking for an old cardiomegaly case (enlarged heart).
- Raven gets along with all of the past ‘Robins’ making her a go to intern
- Garfield can be seen whenever he is not needed trying to flirt with Nurse Markov and often goes to Raven to sulk
- Damian and Raven are always early to pre-rounds and are typically the first ones there (usually early in the morning, getting there before 500)
- Jon bumps into Damian more often than not and they start becoming friends (Damian is reluctant at first and is still you know Damian about everything), Damian even recommends patients to him
- Though Damian doesn’t want to really ‘hang out’ with anyone he reluctantly hangs out with the Titans, because of Jon and Dick
            - When in a large group when at a bar, club or whatever Damian tends to stay close to Raven because 1) they actually have things to talk about 2) she isn’t loud
- Raven & Damian are both assigned to a case that is frankly befuddling and have to start spending long nights and early mornings together to figure it out
- Over that period of time they learn things about each other:
-- Raven learns:
Damian has a dog (Titus) and cat (Alfred)
He is single (Kori told her) and lives in an apartment close to the hospital
He has lived in various countries
He is trained in multiple martial arts
He prefers his tea with brown sugar and a slice of lemon
His eyes are a true emerald color with a ring of gold and flecks scattered within
He may hide it well but when Raven compliments him he becomes flustered
He speaks to himself in Arabic when he curses, trying to remember something, doesn’t want anyone to know what he is saying
He isn’t always an asshole
When he actually smiles a true and genuine smile, she has heart palpitations
-- Damian learns:
Raven has two tattoos (neither are a bird), a gang tat (she is saving up to get it removed), and a mantra in Azarathian; Azarath Metrion Zinthos
She immigrated from Azarath when she was around 8
Her notes are in Azarathian
She actually feels a lot of emotion and knows how to control them
If she is not reading about a current or past case she is reading any book or file she can get her hands on, he has caught her reading in multiple different languages; Azarathian, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Dutch, Mandarin, (could be more or less)
She lives alone and has a cat, Nevermore, and thanks to Dick he already knew she was single
She likes all tea, no matter how prepared, but prefers the sweetener to be honey
Her hair is black but shines purple, especially under the ER lights
Her eyes are a purple that at first glance look blue, like Elizabeth Taylor, he realizes though her eyes are galaxies on their own
When she smiles the world actually stops moving, her eyes shine like stars and he never wants the world to start moving again
She always wears a necklace with a gold and ruby ring at all times (it was her mother’s wedding ring)
- When Damian starts having le feelings for Raven he considers actually seeking medical advice as this has never happened to him before
- Raven tries her best to contain her feelings when at work, going so far as one day a month staying home just to scream, cry and feel her feelings
- It does not help that new feelings towards Damian start popping up, especially since he starts bringing her tea and hanging out with her at work
- During the middle of their 2nd year of residency someone holds Raven hostage in the hospital to fix someone that person loves (this person had connections to Trigon and knew who Raven was)
- That was not a fun time for either Damian or Raven; Damian was outside the hospital pacing trying to figure something out with the other Titans trying to calm themselves and him down
- Shots are fired and when all is said and done, Raven gets shot in the abdomen and the hand (she was in ICU for a hot sec)
- Damian seemed to be there every time Raven woke up, he was always checking on her during rounds even though he wasn’t on her case
- Raven did have to have surgery on her hand and in her abdomen (idk where i’m not getting that specific), she hated being, in her words, coddled
- Even though Raven was right handed (the one that got shot) she learned how to do everything, writing, eating, going to the bathroom, etc. (many of the other residents are impressed since she keeps working on it after her other hand heals)
- Raven’s room also becomes a space for other residents to destress and just vent about their day. She listens and gives advice, all without looking up from whatever she was doing.
- During this time Raven becomes hooked on Pretty Pretty Pegasus
- Raven’s room is also full of cards, flowers, etc all from fellow staff and some from patients. When she leaves (she spends a couple weeks in thanks to multiple surgeries, recovery, and other minor injuries) all of the gifts litter her apartment, the cards end up in a box by her desk, she presses the flowers, and stuffed animals are donated to children’s shelter (she keeps some that she has grown attached to)
- During this time Damian is more of an ass than usual (people notice and tease him)
- Damian at some points keeps working without breaks/sleep for hours on end. Dick pulls him aside after noticing, scolds and forces him to sleep in one of the on call rooms. (He really wanted him to go home, but Damian wasn’t leaving)
- Once Raven was discharged Damian and Garfield help her back home (clothes + gifts + Raven w/a healing hand/other injuries = need help) the other Titans would have helped but were needed at the hospital
- Garfield leaves after dropping off Raven and Damian (and her stuff) as he is called in on a Peds case (could be fake, may not be) and Raven & Damian spend the rest of the time basically watching terrible movies. (with Nevermore sitting on both of them)
- That is the night Damian realizes that not only does he like Raven, but he like likes her. He starts devising plans on how to get her to date him.
- All his plans basically are thrown out the window because of one reason or another (he kept overthinking it)(poor guy)
- It is not until their 3rd year of residency that Raven realizes her feelings towards Damian (Have I made it clear she likes him? I can’t remember...)
- She realizes her feelings when she has to crash at his place for a night (because he lives ridiculously close to the hospital, like how expensive is that??) and he tries to make sure that she is as comfortable as possible
- She never realized how much he cared for her? Like she was always helping him out and there for him but she never realized he reciprocated that care? *Shocker*
- Raven becomes kind of a mess because of all her emotions that she is trying to bottle up. (all the corks are disintegrating and the jar is overflowing)
- Raven is during her Ortho rotation (bone surgeon people, they are cool, ik from experience) that she actually gets a good release for her emotions (setting peoples bones and drilling and hammering in pins is actually therapeutic)
- Raven thinks that may be the specialty she chooses
- Damian saw her as a mess and could not fathom why she was said mess, he figured it was about a romantic interest after someone made an offhand comment about her love life and she became a blubbering mess (very un-Raven like)
- After all of well *motions with hands* that Raven asks why Damian doesn’t have a s/o or someone
- He says there is only person that he has been meaning to ask out (looks pointedly at Raven)
- All Raven says is “Go for it.”
And that is where my HCs end. Now if anyone who happens upon this post decides to write a Medical AU with any of these please tag me, tell me, message me.
You do not have to give me credit, I just want to read it.
This took me a couple of days to write up, so if it is disjointed I apologize.
If anything needs to be corrected for any reason let me know!
I hope this fuels some imaginations!
-I may post more HC AU things if they come to mind, we will have to see.

fe3h au for the fankids? Where do you think they would be in it?
Golden Deer House
Jaime: The ward of an estranged son of House Shimada and his lover who clawed his way up through Leicester's black market. Wily and cunning, but good-hearted. Pretty well-rounded between brawl, axe, and archery, but with a surprisingly high evasion/dexterity stat. Shares a paralogue battle with Rei that makes him super-easy to recruit to the Blue Lion house.
Faustine: The daughter of a prestigious line of nobles who, following a tragedy, has come under the care of an esteemed merchant--who certainly didn't adopt her so he could use her crest to raise his own status, perish the thought! A little stuck-up and fussy, but very hard-working and loyal. High stats in reason and authority.
Rajeev: A crest-bearing himbo with a heart of gold. Always eager to cheer on his teammates, but bears a quiet guilt that he was born with a crest while his cleverer and more hard-working brother was born without one. High stats in Heavy Armor and axes, but can be an excellent Wyvern knight.
Blue Lion House
Rei: The product of a marriage of a crest-bearing noble house with a bloody history (Shimada) and an upstart family of merchants that have been elevated to surprisingly high status by the Church of Seiros (Ziegler). Spirited and loyal. Skilled in sword and faith, training to be a pegasus knight. Shares a paralogue battle with Jaime that makes her super-easy to recruit to Golden Deer house.
Samir: Rajeev's twin brother, but born without a crest. While their parents showered both with love, Samir has strived to prove himself as a capable strategist and warrior. His hard work has made him a remarkably flexible unit able to quickly develop high skills in lance, authority, archery, and faith.
Andrea: The daughter of a distinguished knight with an intense and inexplicable grudge against the Knight Morrison who serves at Garreg Mach. Stoic, brusque, and mysterious, Andrea has a high skill in lance and dark magic, and can make a pretty brutal dark knight.
Black Eagle House
Seye: A crest-bearing noble from a house as famed for its chivalry as its ruthless ambition. Charming and gallant on the surface, but with a smoldering intensity and vulnerability beneath. One of those guys whose B-and-up supports makes the fandom ride-or-die for him. High stats in brawl and authority.
Marti: A calculating commoner who, for all intents and purposes, is more capable of passing herself off as noble than 75% of the nobility. Marti was an orphan taken in by a a colorful group of traveling performers, whose beauty, grace, and cleverness (as well as the charms of her guardian) soon landed her and her guardian a place in the house of a lonely noble widow. Despite all her shrewdness, Marti has a gentle heart and can bring out the best in any team she's on. High dexterity and authority starts. Excels in the assassin class.
Aedan: A crest-bearing heir to house O'Deorain whose paternity remains a mystery. Sensitive and a little gawky, but also if you fuck up his approval/character arc enough you can turn him into a total nightmare. High faith and reason stats. Excels in warlock, bishop, and dancer classes. His approval shoots through the roof if you give him flowers, and he's almost embarrassingly easy to recruit if you already have Rei on your team.
DLC and Other Recruitable Units:
Akasha: A mysterious and haunted girl of apparent Brigidean ancestry who can be rescued from a dungeon of Those Who Slither in the Dark. Seems to have some kind of corrupted crest and adds +2 Divine Pulse to the team when recruited. Surprisingly favors cute girly gifts to raise approval. high skills in sword and faith with a scary high dexterity stat.
Phospho: A recruitable bandit with a terrifying proclivity for fire magic. High skills in axe and reason.
Guillaume: A self-proclaimed noble who insists he's a relative of Rei even though Rei swears she's never met him in her life, but there's no denying he bears an uncanny resemblance to the Shimada line. High skills in archery, reason, and riding.
Annie: A charming noble who seems just as mixed up about who and where she is as Guillaume, but seems considerably more flexible about it. High skills in brawl, lance, and reason.

Frankenstein. How a Monster Became an Icon: The Science and Enduring Allure of Mary Shelley’s Creation, edited by Sidney Perkowitz and Eddy von Mueller, Pegasus Books, 2019 (2018). Info: pegasusbooks.com.
Few creations have risen from literary origins to reach world-wide importance like Frankenstein.  This landmark volume celebrates the bicentenary of Mary Shelley’s creation and its indelible impact on art and culture. The tale of a tormented creature created in a laboratory began on a rainy night in 1816 in the imagination of a nineteen-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, newly married to the celebrated Romantic poet Percy Shelley. Since its publication two years later, in 1818, Frankenstein: Or, the Modern Prometheus has spread around the globe through every possible medium and variation. Frankenstein has not been out of print once in 200 years.  It has appeared in hundreds of editions, perhaps more than any other novel. It has inspired a multitude of stage and screen adaptations, the latest appearing just last year. “Frankenstein” has become an indelible part of popular culture, and is shorthand for anything bizarre and human-made; for instance, genetically modified crops are “Frankenfood.” Conversely, Frankenstein’s monster has also become a benign Halloween favorite. Yet for all its long history, Frankenstein’s central premise—that science, not magic or God, can create a living being, and thus these creators must answer for their actions as humans, not Gods—is most relevant today as scientists approach creating synthetic life. In its popular and cultural weight and its expression of the ethical issues raised by the advance of science, physicist Sidney Perkowitz and film expert Eddy von Muller have brought together scholars and scientists, artists and directions—including Mel Brooks—to celebrate and examine Mary Shelley’s marvelous creation and its legacy as the monster moves into his next century.
Contents: Introduction: Two Hundred Years of Frankenstein     Part One. The Roots and Themes of Frankenstein 1. Newish Comics:
The Lost Carnival: (not on the list but I read it this week). This felt very informed by Kyle Higgins’ run on Nightwing 2011 - and by very little else. Heads up - the entire story is set at Haly’s, and Dick is having ~16 year old angst about how he wants more than this provincial life as an acrobat. The whole story is giving that ‘okay but when does the plot start’ vibes (as you can see the moving parts that eventually lead to Zucco) but we are still in the prequel. The inevitable never occurs. (Canon Divergence AU baby!)
I thought it was cute. I am not sticking it on any must read lists. The mystery is pretty obvious early on. It’s the most I’ve seen Mary or John Grayson talk in a comic in a long, long time.
Batman and Robin #6: Bruce. BRUCE. Just because YOU dropped out at 14 to go on a world tour does not mean you’re PUTTING PRESSURE on Damian by wanting him to attend NINTH GRADE.
At this rate Dick Grayson is going to be the only member of the family who actually made it to university.
(This story is KILLING ME. We are getting delightful school-based storytelling and Damian having fish out of water moments and then the story keeps threatening to take it away. Stop it! Just let him attend school even if it’s in the background of your plots!)
Blue Beetle #6: we finally get a history on the Blood Scarab and huzzah it has absolutely nothing to do with the 2011 plot involving Paco. Which you know I expected but it’s nice to have confirmation. Instead we have direct references to Dan Garrett, and I now live in fanciful hope for the return of Dani Garrett any day now.
Anyway that was SO MEAN to poor Jaime. And oh the art is SO GOOD this week.
Outsiders #4:
Jenny? A JENNY STORY? It still shouldn’t be called Outsiders but WOW are they down to just dig into mythology all over the place.
(A century child!!!)
Tumblr media
I see what you did there. (Actually, Sparks is still my favourite, but I do like Jennys) and I don’t hate giving the DC universe its own Jenny given basically nobody’s used Jenny Quantum in a decade.
On the other hand, I am mad you retroactively deleted Jenny Quantum for this via multiverse nonsense. What did you DO to Apollo & the Midnighter’s adoptive daughter??? (grumble grumble give me back my Wildstorm characterisation grumble)
Speed Force #4: so this week felt like the plot sort of stalled for a bit? After forging on forwards so rapidly in recent issues. Not really much to say.
Wesley Dodds: The Sandman #5: this on the other hand
oooh this is my favourite of the JSA minis. I wasn’t expecting it to be, but it is. Just really good storytelling.
Batman #143: gosh there’s some lovely artwork in this. Shame it’s in a Joker story.
The Warlord #39: the week in Skartaris were back with Ancient Atlantean history (as opposed to undersea Atlantean history).
Here’s a decent summary from Travis: I really hope and wish someone’s discussed how this works alongside the Aquafam at some point.
Tumblr media
Anyway Travis and Shakira get drugged by an Ancient Atlantean robot (who pops the drug in the wine - we JUST had that plot the other week Travis, how did you miss this?) which came with Shakira drinking like a cat not a person.
Tumblr media
And excitingly we have some classic Travis Morgan bondage time! Oh I’ve missed your kinks, Grell.
Tumblr media
Hmm yes, that seems back in your favourite wheelhouse (sadly the giant snake thing does not coil around Travis too).
Also Shakira released Travis’s Pegasus. Nooo! We only had you for such a short time!!!

Character List and Rules
RULES:
I don’t write smut, abuse, self-harm, or suicide. I do NOT write yandere. I do not write gore or major character death.
Nor do I write cheating.
Also, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE LIST BEFORE REQUESTING. If you request a fic for someone who is not on the list, I’m not writing a fic for you. Sorry. Follow the rules or request from someone else.
I ONLY write Reader-Insert fics and Headcanons. I do NOT write ships!!!
I do NOT write the reader with a specific body type specified. Ex: Skinny reader, chubby reader, etc.
I do not write in the first person, only second or third person. I do not write from any character’s POV.
TIPS:
I DO write poly fics: [character] x reader x [character]
Be sure to specify what gender you’d like reader to be in your fic. Gender neutral is an option! This is also an LGBTQ+ safe space, so feel free to ask for m/m or w/w.
When requesting, it helps me if you give a basic premise, but not TOO much detail. If you just ask for a character without a scenario, sometimes I can think of something, but sometimes I can’t.
I don’t ever give Y/N a name other than Y/N unless it’s a nickname or a title of some kind.
Note: List has been sorted alphabetically by first name (because some characters don’t have a last name).
