Three former owners include a former Panther director. The J72 was a loose replica of the 1930s Jaguar SS100 and was powered by various Jaguar engines, the example offered has a 4.2 litre DOHC straight 6 from the first generation XJ6. It is one of only 3 finished in the distinctive 2-tone paintwork and has travelled 37,225 miles

A Jaguar SS 100 that was driven by a RAF pilot in the Monte Carlo Rally is up for sale, and could fetch almost half a million pounds.

The SS100 was one of the first Jaguars to be produced and part-time racer Jack Harrop was quick to buy this beauty back in 1936.
