What's not to love about jazz?

Guero had gone all out, he had reserved the whole of your favourite restaurant, so it was just the two of you; he had lit candles and hung fairy lights, he even ironed his shirt.

You couldn't get a why out of him, it wasn't anyone's birthday or your anniversary, and every time you asked, his response was always, "Just because." 

Nothing had changed as the night went on, and you were sitting in front of your favourite meal that he had already ordered by the time you got to the restaurant, trying to get it out of him. "You have to have a reason, I know how long this took you because I've done it before, now spit it out."

He smiled, it was soft and filled with affection. "I can't give it away just yet."

You mirrored his smile. "I knew it."

He stole a bit of food from your plate in retaliation, then reached over to take your hand. "I want you to know how much I love you."

"I do, Guero, I really do. I love you too." There was something in his eyes that made your heart race, like he was gearing up for something he was uncertain of.

As the dessert was picked clean, soft jazz came through the speakers, and he reached out to take your hand. "I like this song, dance with me?"

You took his hand with a smile. "Since when do you listen to Sinatra?" 

He didn't answer, taking you in his arms as he moved with you. It was far too slow for the song, but that didn't matter. He was warm, and he smelt like a wonderful mix that was unique to him, his shower gel mixed with leather cream and just a hint of the gasoline and burned gun power that lingered on his kutte. 

You rested your head against his chest as his hand moved to your lower back. "I mean it when I say I love you." He took a breath and pulled away from the embrace to look into your eyes. "And...." 

He seemed so unsure as his slightly shaking hand reached into the pocket of his kutte. "Fuck it." He dropped to one knee, and a little box appeared in front of you. "I love you so fucking much, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" 

He was looking up at you like a little boy who had just handed a crumpled flower to the first girl he ever fell in love with, all expectation and heart-racing worry. You blinked away the tears and smiled as you gave him your left hand. "Yes, yes I'll marry you." 

He all but shoved the ring on your finger before standing up with a shout and taking you into a kiss. He pulled back with a grin and brushed a strand of hair from your face, chuckling as he hid his slight blush. "I'm the luckiest man on earth." 

You pecked his nose, then his cheek and then his lips before finally kissing your way to his ear. "You wanna take me home so I can thank you for such a nice night?" 

The look on his face told you everything you needed to know.

Just been thinkin’ about my favorite brand of dip:

-Aged up, in each others arms, dancing & swaying slowly across their kitchen/living room to slow, tragic love songs. It’s evening & the sunset is gently  illuminating the room for them. They’re both in their pajamas, Pip’s head resting against the demon’s chest while Damien rests his chin atop the Brit’s head. They occasionally look into each others eyes & then share a slow, deep, passionate kiss, all the while still swaying.

-Sometimes Pip’s silently crying, tears rolling down his face as he leans into Damien, resting his head on the other’s shoulder. They’ve recently had a fight about something, & this is the last part of their mutual apology after talking it out. Damien brushes the hair out of Pip’s face & gently kisses all over his face, murmuring soft words of comfort & apologies. Pip gently murmurs the same. They’re both emotionally exhausted, but they both feel a lot better now.

guys please, just imagine it. It’s bringing me so much joy right now.
