Pairing: Jackson Kenner x Gender Neutral!Reader

You dragged yourself awake and laid in the darkness for a moment as you tried to pinpoint what woke you. The murmur of a voice over the baby monitor caught your attention and you glanced over to find your partner was indeed missing from his side of the bed.

You tossed the blankets back and climbed out of bed before padding down the hall to the nursery. Leaning against the doorframe, you crossed your arms over your chest and smiled at the scene before you.

Jackson swayed with your newly adopted babe in his arms, whispering sweet nothings and calming words as he pressed kisses to the top of your son's head. He nuzzled against Jackson's chest and made a low whimper. Not only was the baby still adjusting to his sudden change in environment, he was in the middle of teething. You assumed that was the reason he'd woke in the first place as you could see a mostly full bottle sitting on the table.

"Teeth?" you asked to confirm your thoughts.

The werewolf glanced up in surprise as your voice startled him before a smile melted across his face. "Yeah. Sorry if we woke you. He just keeps whimpering when I go to put him down. It's breakin' my heart."

Your own smile softened at the edges as you took in your family. A month ago you thought there was no way you could possibly love Jackson Kenner more than you did. Then your son came into your lives and you found out just how wrong you were. Every time you saw them together you fell just a little bit more in love.

"Well, we can't have that," you said. You moved across the room to kiss the two males in your life. Then you steered everyone to the extra wide armchair that sat in one corner.

A few months after the wedding and Jackson and I haven’t progressed much. and i see Jackson which pulls me out of my train of thought. “Hey (Y/N), you know since today is warm the pack was thinking of swimming in the lake do you want to go and if you don’t we can just stay here an-“ “I’ll love to go I haven’t gone swimming in a little while.” I said with a smile. “Ok good so go get ready and we can meet them there.” “Ok.” I grabbed my bathing suit and went to the bathroom. It was a cute two piece that barely covers the top. I got this two years ago way before I even thought of getting married. When I got out of the bathroom Jackson looked at me and in his eyes were only lust. He growled while rushing to me, he wrapped his arms around me then kissed me. Once he pulled away he said “You are my wife and you can’t go out there wearing that with all those males out there.” I stood there surprised. “I know we’re married but it’s just a swimsuit plus I’ll be in the water most of the time so-“ he growled again and tightened his grip. “That doesn’t matter I will know. Go change into something else.” He soften his voice “please.” “Ok.” He let me go and waited til I was done.

While we went to the lake he spoke “I’m sorry about that it’s just I had finally realized that you are my wife not just my friend but my partner as well and seeing you in that bathing suit I just saw you in a way I have slowly been seeing you it just finally came together. (Y/N) I’m in love with you and thinking other men might see you in that same way drove me insane so I acted out of control and I’m sorry.” I stood there shocked. “W-wait your in love with me?” “Yes.” I smiled and said “Good.” I grabbed him and kissed him. We ended up going back to his room and just cuddled because he said I was too young for “intimacy” so we just layed down with me in his arms. I honestly couldn’t ask for more. One question was still on my mind though “are you over Hayley?” He looked a little surprised but at least now his asks don’t light up when he hears her name. “No not fully because I have been in love with her for so long. There will always be that little bit of love that will never let me get over her. But I do love you and right now all I see is you.” And with that he kissed my head and said “now no more questions let’s just have one day without your big mouth.” I chuckled “ok wolfie.” He fake growled.

After a couple of years I am now eighteen and Jackson and I have been really happy. Today our two year anniversary and Jackson is treating me to a nice day. “So (Y/N) I know that when we married you were young but since your old enough now are you still ok with it.” “Yes of course wolfie, I love you too much to not be your wife.” He smiled “good that was the answer I was hoping for. So now on today’s agenda we will get breakfast any of your choice then I will take you somewhere then we will go to a restaurant of my choice for dinner.” He’s too sweet. “Ok wolfie.” He sighed. “You’ve been calling me that name since you were a kid can’t you grow out of the phase.” “Let me think about it um... no.” I gave him the biggest smile I could. He growled “why you little...” he grabbed and started to tickle me.

When we finished breakfast he grabbed s scarf and said “I need to make sure you don’t spoil the surprise.” Then he tied it around my eyes. We walked and I could smell the bayou. Once he took of the blindfold I heard “surprise” when I look around it’s everyone even the Mikaelsons and even Hayley. I smiled and turned around and gave my husband a kiss. “Wow you did all this, wolfie? You really stepped up your game.” Some laughed. He chuckled and said “number one what did I tell you about wolfie and number two I didn’t entirely do this every one helped out bringing things they know you love.” “Awe thank you everyone this is too sweet, I love you all so much.” They came congratulating us on our two years than Hayley came “I’m glad you guys are still going good.” “That’s thanks to you if you hadn’t broken his heart I wouldn’t had married him. Thank you so much Hayley I owe you so much.” She smiled. Then my husband grabbed my hand and made me dance and it went on feeling like forever.
