I wanted to make a request about what it would be like Bunnymund (ROTG) to fall in love with Reader who is the Guardian of Spring ❤️
Bunnymund X Guardian of Spring Reader. (Headcanons)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: I thought this request was really cute, WHY IS HE SO HOT??!!! He was my childhood crush. I hope you like this Headcanon, I made it with great care.
-•❥❥• Spring and Easter had always worked together, so it was obvious that he knew you and admired your work. You never actually spoke to each other, but there were times when he watched you from afar, always surrounded by the animals you had awakened at the beginning of spring. The first impression you made was that you were very gentle, delicate and shy.
-•❥❥• He was surprised when you were chosen as guardian by the man in the moon. Being skeptical, at first he doubted whether you would really be able to protect The children from Pitch Black, because you had such a delicate and shy manner.
-•❥❥• The two of you became closer when you became guardian. Bunnymund didn't want to admit it, but he loved being around you because of your presence, always bringing calm.
-•❥❥• It was after a few years that he realized he was in love with you, when he was staring at you for too long, and admired how cute it was when butterflies landed on the flowers in your hair.
-•❥❥• One day, North caught him looking at you absent-mindedly and made fun of him for several months.
-•❥❥• He's very protective and loves to defend you by always standing next to you or behind, even though he knows you're powerful and can defend yourself.
-•❥❥• Often, when Bunnymund least expected it, he found himself very vulnerable in your hands when you paid too much attention to him. Because of your touch, he could become so vulnerable that he was almost submissive to you, almost desperate to be the only thing you saw at that moment.
-•❥❥• He likes to take you to flowery places that make Easter much more magical and colorful, especially because of your presence. And of course your meetings were in his den and painting Easter eggs.
-•❥❥• You know about the little feud between Bunnymund and Jack Frost, he gets jealous when Jack gets too close to you, and the winter spirit knows this and does it on purpose to provoke him.
-•❥❥• To calm him down from his constant jealousy, you would stroke behind his big ears or just give his muzzle a little touch. This quickly calmed him down, as it's the rabbit's most sensitive spot, almost like a drug... maybe even causing him more than that.
-•❥❥• When he confessed his love for you, he was completely nervous. He invited you to a flowery glade, almost enchanted by the beauty of the place and all the nature around. He knelt down humbly and took one of your hands, looking at you as if you were his goddess. That moment was overly dramatic because of his lack of knowledge about love or being in love, so he did it out of "common sense", but he really had no idea what he was doing at the time, almost like a desperate improvisation. He has trouble with very complex words all of a sudden, but, with his courage, he says everything he feels while looking at you with his piercing green eyes.
-•❥❥• He likes to call you by nicknames (my flower, my sweetheart, lovebug, cutie, darling... and of course, in hot times, he likes to call you "My bunny" or "Baby bunny").
-•❥❥• You can bet that in this relationship you would eat a lot of chocolate.

Hi!! (●’◡’●)ノ! Can I request some hcs for Jack Frost having an s/o that's a guardian and the spirit of spring? Thank you and have a good day/night!!<33
Jack Frost x Spring Spirit Guardian Reader Relationship Headcanons
Tumblr media
Hello, I'm sorry this took so long, I hope you like it :)
Since both of your seasons are so close together, you both see each other very often
Sometimes he visits an area that you've already been through and makes a little snowstorm so the children can have another snow day and he gets to see you again and spend more time with you even though you just spent time with him very recently
He likes to call you nicknames, especially ones that are related to your season like petal, sunshine, dewdrop, sprout he uses this one to tease you, especially if you're tall or short
You both like to watch and play with the new baby animals that are born during spring
Whenever you two spend time with the other guardians, he likes to watch you interact with the people that he considers family, and they're all happy for the both of you
Bunnymund likes to tease Jack about your relationship since both of your seasons are very different, however this usually results in him covered in snow
If you have any little helpers or companions, he loves them and loves to spend time with him and will treat them as if they're his children
If you allow it, he'll even let them join him on his adventures while he brings winter to different parts of the world
He tells you about his sister and how he died protecting her
He likes to go sledding with you and making snowmen with you
Every little while he likes to make a snowball and toss it at you, causing you two to have a snowball fight
He also likes to make flower crowns with you, and he even makes some out of snow and frost and gives them to you
He loves PDA and loves to just hold you and cuddle with you
Whenever you two are cuddling or just being affectionate with each other like holding hands, he always notices how warm you are compared to him and his heart just melts everytime, he loves how warm you are compared to him
He absolutely introduces you to Jamie
He likes to make images of stuff you like on frosted window panes, usually it's your favorite animal, flower, or anything that reminds him of you
He worries about you and is protective of you, even though he knows that you can defend yourself, he can't help but worry a little bit, especially after dealing with Pitch and his past of not being believed in, he doesn't want anything bad to happen to the person he loves
He'll absolutely help you with whatever you need, whether it's helping you stay believed in or even if it's just comforting you or giving you moral support, he's willing to help you however he can
He'll always listen to any of your problems and whenever he sees that you're upset, he'll comfort you, either by cuddling you or by distracting you to get your mind off of whatever you're upset about, even if it's just for a little bit
He likes to ask you questions about the flowers and plants he sees, and loves to watch your eyes light up with glee as you answer his questions. He loves watching you get all excited and passionate
If anybody looks over at him while he's around you, they can't help but notice him looking at you like you hung the stars in the sky

Imagine: Jack seeing you for the first time but you can’t see him
Disclaimer; This is inspired by @cutiepieloves131
Tumblr media
It had been three years since Jack became a guardian. And he had to admit, it was fun. Ironically enough he was the guardian of fun. But the spirit of winter.
He spreaded snow and frost everywhere. From France to the small town of Burgess. At first, it was strange to be a guardian, helping children, and being seen.
Usually, children were the only ones who could see him. Well, children who bealived in him. Which weren't a lot. But as the years went by a lot more came. And he got a decent amount of believers.
It was very strange. He would just be walking by making it snow and children would come up to him. It was surprising but he got used to it.
He would fly over the world when he didn't have to bring winter. But when he was, he's favorite place to finish is at Burgess. That's Jamie's town. Jamie is the first boy who ever bealived in Jack.
Burgess has a very special place in his heart. And so is Jamie. But while he is out flying around the world he encounters many strange people, that can't see him. Last time he "meet" a young female.
Jack was in Burgess bringing snow and fun like usual. That was his last stop for the day. He was done and all the kids were out playing. He was going to leave but then Cupcake came running out of her home.
"Guys! You won't believe it!" She ran to her friends. And Jack was just close enough to hear. He turned around to see the little ball of sunshine. "What is it, Cupcake?" Pippa asked.
"My sister is coming back from collage!" Cupcake jumped up and down. "Wait. Y/n is coming back?" Jamie asked excited like everyone else. Jack confused flew to them. "Who's Y/n?" He asked.
"Cupcake's older sister." Jamie answered. "Yes, she's the best!" Caleb said as his twin brother agreed, "Yeah, she is!" They high five each other.
"She is the coolest!" Monty said excitedly as he fixed his glasses. "Coolest?" Jack mouthed out. "Remember when we had that massive snowball fight?" Claude asked as he made a snowball and threw it at Caleb who dogged.
"Yeah, she was the best at that!" Caleb agreed. "The best?" Jack mummered. "Ooh, and on my birthday she made the biggest party ever!" Pippa jumped up and down. "She was awesome!" Monty exclaimed.
"Awsome?" Jack whispered. "Uh, were is she, exactly?" Jack said as he leaned on his woden staff. "She's on her way here!" Cupcake yelled. "When is she getting here?" Jamie asked.
Jack chuckled at their excitement. "I'm not so sure." Cupcake shrugged. While they all told Jack how awesome and generous Y/n was they didn't know you had arrived.
"Mom! Dad!" You ran to them and hugged them both. Tears where shead. Blah, blah, blah. "Where's Cupcake?" You asked. "Oh, she's with Jamie and the others." Your mother said whipping her tears.
You lowly gasped with excitement and with one last hug you ran to find her. "Cupcake!" You called as you walked along the frozen path. Almost slipping. But you grabbed onto a ralling for bikes.
You sighed and carefully walked along the path. "Cupcake!" You yelled again. This time you were somewhere near Jamie's house and near the lake. "Uh, Jamie!?" You called.
"Ugh, come back from collage to a very warm welcome." You mocked. "Cupcake!!" You yelled louder. "Y/N!!" Cupcake and her friends ran to you. "Oh!" You feel backwards due to the force.
"Hi, guys!" You greeted as you hugged them all. They all bombarded you with questions as you stood up. Cupcake was clinging to your leg which you honestly didn't mind. You knew how much she missed you.
"Woah, woah! Calm down. One at a time, please." You laughed with them. But as you answered their questions Jack flew near you. He observed your features.
How your E/c eyes glimmering in the sun. How your S/c skin suited you well. The way your H/c colered hair framed your face perfectly. How soft your L/c lips looked.
He could tell you where a kind person by the way you interacted with the kids. "It's nice to see you all. But it's getting late shouldn't you guys be heading home?" You asked. Cupcake had finally let go of your leg.
"Oh, right!" Pippa realized. "Will we see you tomorrow?" Monty asked. "You bet!" The kids all cheered. "Come on, Cupcake. Say bye." You told your sister as you started to walk away.
"Bye!" All the kids said to each other and they all went home. "I have so much to tell you!" Cupcake said to you. "Oh, well I would love to hear it all."
Jack being the curious and mischievous guy he is decided to follow you two. He wanted to know you. Maybe even have you see him. He knew you couldn't. But that didn't stop him from trying.
"I have this cool story to tell you. It was awesome!" Cupcake beamed. "Alright. How about you wait 'till we get home. Yeah?" You asked as you glanced down at her. "Okay!" You giggled as she skipped home.
Feeling a cold but gentle breeze you smiled. You loved winter. Sure it was cold but it was fun. A small snowflake fell infront of you. Bringing your hand up the snowflake landed on your palm.
You giggled at the cold feeling. You smiled softly as it started to snow more. "It's snowing!" Cupcake said as she tried to capture snowflakes with her tounge.
"Winter. So lovely." You whispered. Cupcake was a few feet away from you and Jack was right next to you. "It is, ain't it?" Jack asked even though he knew you won't respond.
"How I whish I could just..control it." This peaked Jack's interest. "How so?" He asked. "Imagine me..able to bring winter anywhere, anytime, whenever." You giggled. Watching the snowflakes fall into your palm you felt happy.
Happy to be home. "Well, snowflake, you'll be happy to know, I already do that." Jack informed. You giggled and shoock your head. "Talking to myself. Gotta stop doing that."
You looked straight ahead and saw that Cupcake was further away. "Hey, Cupcake! Wait up!" You ran to her. Jack chuckled at you and looked back but decided to follow you.

If you still doing request and raise of the guardians how would the guardians react to swapping powers with Halloween s/o like and example of bunny swapping his with his S/I to which there a pooka while he's human?
Rise of the Guardians reaction to swiping holidays/powers with Halloween Fem Guardian S/O.
Jack Frost:
Tumblr media
Jack Frost and his Halloween female Guardian s/o found themselves in a bit of a predicament after accidentally swapping powers. It all started when Jack, being his usual curious self, touched something in North's workshop that he shouldn't have. The moment he made contact, a bright light enveloped both him and his s/o, causing them to fall to the ground in a daze.
S/o, now possessing Jack's winter magic, found herself accidentally freezing everything she touched in a panic. Jack, on the other hand, discovered that he could bring spooky Halloween creatures to life with a simple touch. As they both tried to navigate their new powers, s/o couldn't help but freak out upon realizing her hair was now white instead of her usual h/c color.
"Jack, what the hell did you just touch?" s/o exclaimed, her voice filled with both panic and frustration. Jack, always quick on his feet, tried to calm her down and reassure her that they would figure out a way to switch back with North's help.
As they worked together to find a solution, Jack couldn't help but notice his reflection in the mirror. His hair was now brown, the color it had been when he was once human. It was a strange sight for him to see, but he knew that they needed to focus on finding a way to reverse the power swap.
With determination and teamwork, Jack and his s/o set out on a mission to undo the switch and restore their powers to their rightful owners. It would be a challenge, but with their combined strengths and the help of their fellow Guardians, they were confident they could overcome this unexpected hurdle.
Bunnymund:
Tumblr media
Bunnymund and his Halloween S/o were in North's workshop when a mishap caused them to swap powers. Bunnymund found himself transformed into a human man with long gray hair, while his S/o became a pooka with fur matching her hair color. Bunnymund tried to reassure his panicking S/o, telling her they would find a way to reverse the transformation.
As they tried to navigate their new abilities, Bunnymund struggled to control his S/o's Halloween powers. It was a challenge for him to handle the unfamiliar abilities, but he remained determined to find a solution. Meanwhile, his S/o was overwhelmed by the sudden change and had a panic attack, unable to accept her new form as a pooka.
"Please calm down, Sheila," Bunnymund said, trying to soothe his distressed S/o. "We will figure this out together. I know it's difficult, but we will find a way to fix this."
Despite the chaos and uncertainty, Bunnymund remained calm and level-headed, determined to help his S/o and return to their original forms. Together, they faced the challenge head-on, relying on each other's strengths to navigate the unexpected situation. And as they worked together to unravel the mystery of the swapped powers, their bond only grew stronger, proving that they could overcome any obstacle as a team.
 (Younger) North:
Tumblr media
North was in the middle of working on a new gadget in his workshop when his Halloween female s/o walked in to check on him. As she approached, a mishap occurred, causing electric sparks to fly out of the toy. Both North and his s/o fell to the floor, dazed and confused.
As they tried to gather their bearings, North realized that something had gone terribly wrong. He could feel a strange power coursing through him, one that he couldn't control. Suddenly, he found himself creating little Halloween creatures out of thin air, monsters that his s/o had the power to summon.
His s/o, on the other hand, was shocked to discover that she could now speak to yetis, which was one of North's Abilities that he had. Panic set in as they both tried to figure out what had happened and how to undo it.
"Ow, that hurt! North, love, are you okay?" his s/o exclaimed, rushing over to him. "What just happened? Why am I wearing winter clothes? You're wearing Halloween clothes, and your hair is now black."
North was at a loss for words, trying to come to terms with his newfound abilities and the chaos that had ensued. Together, they scrambled to find a solution, hoping to reverse the accidental swap of powers before it caused any more havoc.
In the midst of the confusion, North and his s/o found themselves relying on each other more than ever, their bond growing stronger as they navigated through the unexpected turn of events. And through it all, North's warrior spirit and heart of gold shone brightly, guiding them towards a resolution and a deeper understanding of each other. In the end, North and s/o were able to figure it out and undo what had happened.

One Step Back
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack Frost x Reader | ☁️ + ☔ + 🌠 | 7.7k | Grim Reaper!Reader
Warning: mentions of death, lots of angst
Tumblr media
You quietly sat there, staring at the chess pieces deep in thought. The occasional breeze caused the slight creaking noises from the metal décor in the dimly lit space.
Something about the silence brought you a sense of a comfort. Compared to the cries of despair that had recently filled your ears, sitting in front of a very slow strategy game was something you preferred.
“Going to just stare at the pieces all day?”
The deep voice caused you to look up at the yellow coloured eyes that pierced into your own (E/C) eyes, you merely shrugged.
“Perhaps.”
“Not all of us have time to spare,” he responded.
“Time is irrelevant when you’re immortal,” you commented. You rested your chin on your palm as you looked straight into his eyes. “You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t have the time.”
Pitch let out a hum of acknowledgement but made no further comment. As your chess partner, you knew he had grown use to your slow pacing. What you lacked in speed made up for in strategy though - it was enough to keep you and Pitch to play chess ever since the two of you had met.
Sliding a piece across the board, you let out your breath as you leaned back in your chair.
“Good game,” you softly said.
Pitch frowned as he leaned forward to check your move. As the results dawned on him, he gave a small nod.
“Good game,” he echoed.
The King of Nightmares turned his attention to you, looking at you as if he were trying to figure something out.
“Something on your mind?”
Your constant poker face was a difficult expression to read, but somehow Pitch had a way of telling when there was something on your mind. As a grim reaper, your life was pretty monotonous. You learn about the next soul put under your care and you bring them to the afterlife when the time comes. When that was done, the cycle would repeat itself.
From serial killers to the rare newborn infant, you had seen souls at every stage of their life leave this world.
You lived your life among humans, even though you had not been human for the past couple hundred years. Many people who lived around you didn’t see you unless you chose to be seen, letting you live your peaceful life of solitude easier.
After having this role for so many years, you thought that things would get easier. To live with humans, watch them experience grief and pain.
From the few social gatherings with other grim reapers you had attended, you had soon realized you were softer than the others. Your job records were beautiful, but something always stuck with you.
It wasn’t easy experiencing death all the time.
It never got easier.
While this was a common experience for many new grim reapers that would eventually be accustomed, you still found yourself struggling sometimes.
“You’re too kind, (Y/N). All we need to do is make sure their soul moves on. We’re not doing anything bad.”
Even though all of that was true, the fear in the eyes of some people you were assigned to made you wonder how terrifying you were. What you resembled clearly brought a myriad of emotions, but fear was the most common one.
“Nothing new,” you finally replied.
Pitch gave you a look of inquiry but didn’t push any further.
He stood up, walking over to the globe in his lair. Little lights glittered across the world, showing the children of the world who believed in the Guardians.
“If the balance of the world were to change, would you be on my side?” Pitch asked.
Tilting your head, you let his words simmer in your head.
You had never met any of the Guardians, but you recognized their role in the world. From knowing Pitch, you also knew he had a role to play in the world as well. While some saw fear as a bad thing, you recognized that some people grew stronger from their fears. Not everyone, but some rare cases.
Having heard about the last time Pitch had challenged the Guardians and failed, you knew there was bad blood between the Guardians and the Boogeyman.
If you had a to pick a side though...
You knew your role was one that would be forever bound to your duties. Wars could be fought and whatever decision you made would be insignificant.
“Death takes no sides, Pitch,” you answered with resolve. “So, I would not choose a side either.”
“Is that so?”
Even though he didn’t turn around to look at you, you gave him an uncertain small nod. Some things were inevitable, whether you desired so or not.
Tumblr media
Sitting down on your couch and peering out the window with a warm cup of tea in your hand, you watched the rain pour down from the sky. Snuggled into your blankets, you listened to the pattering of raindrops against the glass.
Today was one of those dreary days - one that brought out sad emotions among people. The kind of day that had people mourning their lost ones.
Luckily for you, you had the day off. Or at least, you thought you could afford the day off.
A letter appeared on the coffee table before you brought a sigh to your lips.
Setting your cup down, you lifted the letter up carefully and checked the name.
Amber Miller.
Carefully inscribed under the name were the date of when they were born and the death.
Noting the death date, you paused. Doing some quick calculations, you realized that Amber was still young - a child. A frown appeared on your face as you stared at the simple card.
Most of the time, you received names of those who experienced life longer than this. Chewing on your lip, you wondered if it was a good idea to go check in on this young girl now. Usually you appeared a few days before their death to see if you should make contact with the person, but with younger ones... You tried to spend more time with them so they wouldn’t be scared when time came for them.
When your eyes flickered back to the world outside your window, you noticed the rain had become little snowflakes dancing their way around the sky.
Weather permitting or not, perhaps it would be good to step out of your house to do a check in. Amber had a week to live.
Pulling on your closet open, you stared at the various dark coloured pieces of clothing staring back at you. Like other grim reapers, your clothing mostly consisted of black, to be respectful to the dead, to not draw attention to yourself and follow the policies in place for grim reapers.
Slipping into a simple black knit sweater and skirt, you made yourself presentable. Finishing off the look with some boots, you grabbed a jacket just in case. Having gone through the process of getting ready to meet your next assignment so many times before, you weren’t too concerned.
Taking a deep breath, you opened your bedroom door and walked out of the bus shelter. The power to transport yourself through doors was one that all grim reapers had. No one around you noticed you, making everything go smoothly.
Following your instincts, you walked towards the nearby hospital. Walking past the receptionists and other patients, you immediately recognized the young brunette who was pressed up against the glass staring at the snow in awe.
Something about her soul seemed familiar to you, but you weren’t sure why.
She was dressed in the typical patient attire with a paper wristband on, confirming your suspicions around why you were here. Amber was sick.
Walking over until you were standing next to her, you turned to watch the snow with her.
“I wish I could go outside and feel the snow,” she commented.
With no one else around, you decided to check your suspicions.
“Would you like to step outside with me for a bit?” you asked quietly.
Amber’s brown eyes looked up at you with excitement. “Really?”
You nodded, offering your hand out to her. “Really, we’ll only be out for a moment, so nobody will even notice we’re gone.”
The enthusiastic nod and hand now in yours confirmed things. She could see you. While most grim reapers didn’t like showing themselves before it was time, the fear of growing emotional attachments was common, you made the effort.
“I’m Amber. What’s your name?”
“I’m (Y/N). Nice to meet you.”
Walking down a quieter hallway, you lead the two of you towards the small outdoor space on the side of this hospital wing. No one would step out in this weather, so it’d make it easier for the two of you. Taking Amber outside, you shrugged off your jacket and slipped it around her shoulders the moment you two were outside.
“Will you be cold?” she asked, eyes wide as she slipped her arms into the sleeves.
You shook your head. “I’ll be okay.”
The oversized jacket on her made you smile as she excitedly tried to catch snowflakes on her tongue. The sight of someone who was still so hopeful towards life, you could feel a deep sense of sadness within you. As you looked up at the sky, the sound of another voice surprised you.
“You don’t look dressed for the winter weather.”
Attention immediately moving towards the source, you found yourself staring at a boy with beautiful blue eyes and silvery white hair. An amused quirk of a smile graced his lips as he held onto a wooden staff in his hands.
“Jack!” Amber excitedly called out as she threw herself his way. “You made it snow!”
“Ahaha, I did. I’m glad you have the chance to step outside to see it today.” Jack responded, ruffling her hair.
Your brain raced to figure out an explanation for what was happening. Amber called this newcomer Jack and associated him with the snow. Somehow this sounded familiar. As your brain tried to make a connection between the information you just received with what you knew, Jack turned his attention to you once more.
He looked you over, taking in your black attire.
“Who this with you, Amber?”
You straightened up. “I’m (Y/N).”
“Oh, so you can see me,” Jack said with a surprised tone. He held out his hand to you. “Nice to meet you.”
You hesitated but shook his hand.
Sensing something happening inside the hospital, you pushed the door back open. “I think we should head back inside, Amber. Make sure no one noticed us sneaking away.”
“Oh, okay!” The brunette jumped up and hurried to your side. She turned around to wave at Jack. “Bye Jack!”
You looked at Jack once more, information finally clicking in place.
Jack Frost - the Guardian of Fun.
Ducking your head, you let the door shut behind you before escorting Amber back to her room. The energetic girl was about to pull off your jacket, but you stopped her.
“Keep it,” you encouraged. “It looks better on you than it does on me.”
“Thank you!” she responded gleefully. As she sat down on her bed, she looked up at you.
“Is there anything you want to do this week, Amber?” you asked, sitting down next to her.
The young girl thought about your words and responded with a small shrug.
“I’m not sure.” Her honest words brought a small smile to your face. “Will I see you again, (Y/N)?”
You nodded. “I’ll come by and visit again tomorrow, how does that sound?”
Amber nodded. “Okay.”
Getting up, you gently pet her head. “Be a good girl for the nurses, okay?”
“I always am!”
You smiled. Slipping out of the room, you glanced back once before moving to leave the hospital.
As you stepped out of the hospital, you weren’t paying attention to the person rushing towards the doors and didn’t have any time to react. Shutting your eyes, you felt a breeze as they ran through you.
It was moments like these when you were reminded of your place in the world.
Not alive but living as if you were.
Just as you walked away from the hospital, a cool breeze ruffled your hair and someone fell into step beside you.
“So you’re a spirit as well,” Jack commented.
You looked at him. “Is... there something I can help you with?”
Surprised by your question, Jack shook his head.
“No, it’s just, we haven’t met before and I was curious about you.”
Stopping in your tracks, you turned to face him. Eyes shifting to meet his, you could see the confusion on his face.
“I’m a grim reaper.”
This new information startled him.
Walking away, you spotted the same bus shelter and headed towards it. Having met Amber now, you had a lot on your thoughts and wanted to go home. It took a moment, but you heard Jack hurrying to catch up to you.
“Really?”
“Most people don’t want to interact with me when they know that,” you said, stopping by the bus shelter door.
“Well, you’re the first grim reaper I’ve met,” Jack responded. He paused and his voice dropped to a whisper. “Amber... there’s a reason you’re visiting her, isn’t there?”
You nodded.
Hoping to end the conversation there, you pulled open the bus shelter door and stepped through.
“Wait - !”
As you appeared back in your own house, Jack appeared from behind, coming through the same door you had.
The surprise the two of you shared came from very different reasons.
You had no idea anyone could follow you through the doors. Meanwhile, Jack had no idea where you had transported the two of you to.
“Where are we...?” Jack asked, speaking up first.
“Home. My home,” you clarified as you pulled your boots off and put them aside. Letting out a sigh, you sat down on your couch before deciding to address Jack. “Amber has one week left - I don’t plan on taking her until her time ends.”
“Why did you visit her today then?” Jack moved to sit on the armchair perpendicular to you. His tone was genuine - encouraging you to speak.
You curled up, wrapping your arms around your legs. Trying to make yourself smaller, you tried your best to pull your words together. “Life’s... not fair and death doesn’t discriminate. She’s so young... I want to make sure her last days go well at least.”
There was a blanket of silence that fell over you two. As Jack took in your words, you blankly stared at the envelope that rested on your coffee table. With how many letters you had received over the years, you had lost track of how many cases you had dealt with.
“Maybe I can help?”
Jack’s offer caused you to look up.
“I’m not sure what I can do, but I want to try to help,” Jack elaborated.
“That’s nice of you, but... are you sure?” You could tell he had good intentions behind his words but you knew the choice he was making was one with difficulties that he wouldn’t realize until the pain weighed down on him.
You were too familiar with that feeling to wish it upon anyone.
Death took a toll not only on the person who experienced it, but everyone around them as well.
The confused look on Jack’s face indicated that he didn’t know about these effects.
“Losing someone isn’t easy,” you explained. “Do you really want to put yourself through that kind of pain?”
Your words seemed to reach him in some way as Jack’s shoulders slumped and he looked down at the ground. His silence filled the air, and you didn’t know what to do or say.
“I know, I’ve lost people in my life before,” Jack softly responded, his words coming out slowly as he formulated his thoughts. You could tell what he experienced weighed down on him.
It made you wonder if he had what it took to be grim reaper.
Honestly, you weren’t sure you were cut out for this line of work either. Yet here you were, a couple hundred years in and still going with no end in sight.
“If I can do something about it and make a difference, I think it’s worth the pain.”
His optimistic answer had you turning your gaze back outside to watching the snow fall outside the window.
“If that’s what you wish, I cannot stop you.”
“I look forward to working with you then, (Y/N).”
Tumblr media
When you had tried to sleep that night, the sound of crying from your past kept you up.
“Time to go,” you softly urged the crying soul.
They looked up at you, tears still streaming down their face. In the brief moments of realizing their own death, they still carried the burdens of life they experienced.
“There were still things I wanted to do. It isn’t fair,” they wailed. “Can’t I.... Can’t you do anything about it?”
Regrets.
Almost every soul had them.
You waited. It was difficult to communicate with anyone when they were this emotional. Once the crying had been reduced to sniffles, you finally responded.
You shook your head, looking over at the unfortunate accident that left them lifeless. “You are no longer part of this world, don’t worry about things like that.”
“A little more time... I wish I had a little more time to do the things I wanted to do...”
Tumblr media
The clear skies above held promise of a good day ahead. You stifled back a yawn as you made your way to the hospital. Restless nights were common but it never affected your work.
Once you arrived, you paused by the reception. When the receptionist looked up, their eyes met yours.
“I’m here to visit Amber Miller,” you said. “I’ll be taking her out a bit.”
"Alright,” the receptionist spoke in a trance. There was a cloudy look to their eyes.
When you turned away, you could hear them resuming to their work as if the encounter between the two of you never happened.
Walking into Amber’s room, you could see her face light up when she saw you.
“(Y/N)!”
“Hi Amber,” you greeted. “You ready to go?”
She bobbed her head enthusiastically. After you reminded her to dress for the weather, she quickly bundled up before standing in front of you.
Taking her hand, the two of you walked through the hallways unnoticed and made your way outside.
A figure showed up with a chilly gust before the two of you.
“Jack!” Amber exclaimed.
“Sorry for running late,” Jack said with a smile. His blue eyes flickered over to yours, trying to get a read of your placid expression but unable to do so. He turned back to Amber. “The snow is perfect for building snowmen, you up for it?”
“Yeah!”
“Let’s go then.” You acknowledged Jack. With him leading the way, your (E/C) eyes wandered back, noticing another grim reaper leading a soul away.
Hospitals were always a busy place for grim reapers.
“Here we are!” Jack cheered as you all arrived an untouched patch of snow. “The perfect spot, if I do say so myself.”
“(Y/N),” Amber said with a tug on your hand. “Can you help me build a snow bear?”
“A snow bear?” you asked, a smile on your face. “It’s been a while since I’ve built anything in the snow, but sure!”
“Yay! Let’s build a super big one! You and Jack are in charge of the head then.”
You exchanged a look with Jack as Amber scurried off to start her snowball.
“You heard her,” you said, tilting your head at Amber. Pulling out gloves from your pocket, you slipped them on. “I’m going to need your expert help if we’re going to make this the best snow bear.”
“Alright, let’s do this.”
After letting Jack start off the snowball (he had made the bold claim that yours wasn’t good enough and that was thrown at him with a feigned cry of offense), the two of you worked together in creating a head for Amber’s snow bear.
With a lot of playing in the snow between you, Jack and Amber, the day passed by quickly. Letting Jack do the heavy lifting, the snow bear was nearing its completion.
Watching Amber giddily bounce around the two of you, you couldn’t help but smile.
“We’re still missing the face,” you commented.
“I got it!” Amber exclaimed, holding out some rocks.
You crouched down and held your arms out to Amber. Her eyes lit up when she realized what you were offering. Moving into your arms, you lifted her up so she could have a better reach of adding the face to her snow bear.
As she added the final touches, your (E/C) eyes met a pair of blue ones. Jack had moved to stand next to you without you noticing. While it had not startled, you were suddenly aware of how things were feeling like an intimate family moment.
“Ta-da!” Amber cheered as she put on the final rock.
You and Jack let out some cheers as well. Considering the fact that you had never made a snow bear before, this one was pretty cute.
“Looks amazing.” Jack commented.
You nodded in agreement. “It does. Great work, Amber.”
Amber turned so she could look at the two of you. “Thanks for helping!”
“Nah, you did most of the work,” Jack modestly said.
Noticing rosy cheeks, you bopped Amber’s nose. “You look like you’re getting cold.” Before the girl could protest, you offered her a smile. “Shall we grab some hot cocoa and head back?”
Your proposition immediately brought a bright smile to her face.
It was moments like these that you weren’t sure whether or not that you should be happy or sad.
Almost as if he sensed your uncertainty, Jack clapped his hands.
“Let’s go.”
Tumblr media
“(Y/N)! Jack!”
Amber’s delighted cheer greeted the two of you as you arrived the next day.
“Hi Amber,” you greeted.
“Hey,” Jack chimed in.
Amber climbed out of her bed and gave you both a bright smile. “Are we going to do something fun again today?”
You nodded. “Can you go get ready? There’s somewhere cool that I want to show you today.”
She excitedly nodded and hurried around the room to get ready.
Meanwhile, you turned to look at the winter spirit standing next to you.
“Did you know I was coming now?” you teasingly asked Jack. “I don’t remember telling you when I was coming by again today.”
Jack gave you a charming smile. “I had a feeling. Looks like I was right though.”
He took the time to look around the room, but he found himself watching you in the end. Adorned in all black again, Jack still thought that there was certain aura about you that made you less scary and more caring. He wouldn’t have pinned you as a grim reaper with your personality.
“What are the plans for today?” Jack asked, lowering his voice so Amber wouldn’t hear.
You pretended to zip your lips.
“Aw, no hint at all?”
You laughed. “I can give you one hint.”
Walking over to Amber’s bed, you straightened up a few of her animal plushies and gave a pointed look to Jack.
“That’s all you’re getting.”
Jack made a face at you. “You’re terrible at giving hints. That could mean so many things.”
You playfully stuck your tongue out at him.
“I’m ready!” Amber called out, pulling on an oversized black jacket.
“Let’s go then,” you said.
As you went to open the door and lead your trio out on a trip, Jack took a moment to chat with Amber.
“The jacket looks a little big on you,” he commented.
Amber nodded. “It’s from (Y/N)! She let me have it.”
Jack let out a hum of understanding as he walked beside Amber towards the door. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of appreciation towards you, even if he wasn’t the one who was receiving the kindness from you.
You were someone special, Jack could feel it.
Once you all went through the door, Amber let out a squeal when she realized where you all had been transported to. There were animals and families everywhere, the air filled with chatter of all the living beings.
“I know you like animals, so I brought you to a petting zoo,” you explained to Amber. Your (E/C) eyes noticed the bright smile on Jack’s face as well. Looks like the Guardian of Fun approved of this trip. “Ready to meet some animals?”
Amber clapped her hands happily. “Ready!”
Taking the time to see all the animals, you heard Jack chuckle when you guys approached the bunny enclosure. When he noticed your curious gaze, Jack smiled.
“They remind me of a certain spirit I know,” he explained.
“The Easter Bunny?” you guessed.
“Yeah, although, he seems more kangaroo than bunny sometimes.”
You giggled at his comment. “I would love to see him one day.”
“You’ve never seen him?” Jack asked, surprised.
“You don’t get to meet many other spirits in my line of work.”
“Ah.”
You waved your hand to brush off his comment. Sometimes, as much as you felt alive and hopeful, deep down you knew that being a grim reaper was part of who you were now. Getting to spend time like this with others and Jack... you would cherish this.
Tumblr media
After you dropped Amber back off at the hospital and had her settled back down, you and Jack lingered around for a bit. Amber had been so happy today, it was hard to believe that this little girl only had a numbered amount of days left to live.
You turned to Jack to say something, but the sound of approaching voices made you stop. You thought about leaving, but something kept you in place. One of the voices belonged to Amber’s nurse. The others... sounds familiar.
“She’s been fine lately.”
“Is there a chance her condition will improve?”
“The chance of that happening is rare - young patients like her in our long term care unit with her conditions...”
You completely tuned out the nurse when the sight of a tired looking couple walked towards you and Jack. Looking at the couple intensely, you then turned back to catch a glimpse of Amber.
That feeling from before.
The familiarity of Amber’s soul.
Everything seems to click for you when you saw her parents. You’ve seen them before.
“(Y/N)?” Jack called out to you as you stepped back in almost a retreating manner.
“I...”
The memory of a blank letter page held in your hands brought you a sense of uncertainty.
“I should go,” you decided. “Thank you for spending the time with me and Amber today, Jack.”
With that, you turned and disappeared through a door before the Guardian of Fun could do anything to decipher your stranger behaviour.
Tumblr media
When you got back home, a memory from a few years ago vividly resurfaced.
Having just finished delivering one soul, you had found another letter waiting for you to deal with. Work had been relentless for you for the last few days. While there was always work to do, this week in particular had been non stop work.
After glancing at the name in the letter, you turned back around to deal with the soul left in your care.
They were expected to leave today.
Finding yourself in the hospital, you let out a sigh as you looked around. Your eyes paused as you looked at the couple, presumably the parents of the soul you were here to take. They sat outside the operation room and looked anxious.
Understandable.
You moved on, moving closer to the operation room. Sounds of the doctors and nurses working relentlessly, trying their best to help the young girl in the room reached your ears. You could sense her soul hanging onto life.
Human life in situations like this always felt so fragile.
The heartbeat monitor let out a shrill noise and the energy in the room grew frantic. Although you were supposed to get ready to seek out the soul you were here for, something felt off.
There was an unshakable feeling that something wasn’t right.
Pulling out the letter, you checked it once more.
Only to find the page blank.
Your (E/C) eyes narrowed as you flipped the page over to make sure you weren’t seeing things.
Still blank.
Listening carefully once more, you could hear the regular beeping of the heartbeat monitor again.
A miracle.
It was extremely rare, but sometimes the letters were wrong if something miraculous happened and the soul was not ready to leave.
This meant more paperwork for you to do, but the girl would live for now.
Turning away from the operation room, you left.
The girl that you had originally meant take a few years ago.
Fate had you back again for your unfinished work.
Tumblr media
You took a few hours to let yourself process the new found information and rest but then pushed yourself to get back to it.
If Amber only had a limited amount of time, you wanted to have her spend days well. Seeing her again the next day without Jack, you had brought her to the hospital cafeteria and let her enjoy her favourite foods.
Perhaps it was because of your strange visiting hours, but you tried not to bump into Jack. Sure, he was understanding the first time you when you explained your line of work to him. But what if he found out that you were here a second time for this young girl? What would he think then? Would he still want to hang around you? He would probably be like everyone else and believe that you were the indirect cause to her death.
Regardless, from what you heard from Amber, Jack still made the time to visit despite you not being there.
It only took another day or two before you started noticing the signs of fear and worry from Amber.
“(Y/N)?” Amber called out to you as the two of you sat by the window in her room. You turned to look at her, watching her wide eyes stare at you as she clutched her stuffed toy tightly. “I’m scared.”
“What’s scaring you?” you asked quietly.
“Mommy and daddy seemed worried... a lot more than usual.” The sadness in the young girl’s voice broke your heart. “They keep talking to the nurses and doctors... I think they know something about me that’s making them sad.”
You let her words sink in as you tried to find the right words to say to comfort her.
“Adults are always worried about things. Amber, it’s okay to feel the way you feel, but I hope you remember that you can also make your parents the happiest.”
Tumblr media
Later that night, Amber had fallen asleep listening to a story you were telling her. As you stood nearby watching her sleep, you couldn’t believe how fast time was moving by.
There wasn’t much time left now.
It was like an unspoken truth that everyone including Amber seemed to know.
“I didn’t expect to see you here tonight.”
The deep voice startled you.
Coming out from the shadows of the room was Pitch, his eyes gleaming on the little light that came from the night light in the room.
“Pitch,” you greeted. “What are you doing here?”
“I sensed fear,” Pitch responded, moving closer to the bed. He looked at Amber, then his eyes flickered back to you. “I’m sure you sense it too.”
You nodded. Pitch knew your profession, he would know exactly why you were here.
Although the two of you had not played chess in a while due to his choice in actions, the strange relationship between the two of you still existed. Neither of you would cease to exist as you were both immortal.
“Her nightmares would be powerful,” Pitch commented.
You immediately frowned and defensively moved towards him. “No.”
“Do you intend to stop me?”
“For her, I’d do anything to stop you right now.”
Pitch stepped back, then took a few steps around the room. “I thought you said you wouldn’t take sides.” He moved closer to you, fingers touching your chin and tilting your head back to stare into your (E/C) eyes. “What is happening now, little miss grim reaper?”
The door to the room opened slightly and someone slipped in.
Turning to see who it was, you immediately froze.
“Pitch! And... (Y/N)?”
Jack looked at the two of you with a mix of emotions. It was clear enough that he was in disbelief though.
“Ah, the Guardian of Fun,” snarled Pitch. “Did you come here to play?”
Hearing this, Jack immediately raised his staff and pointed it at Pitch. It wavered though, when he realized how close to Pitch you were.
Regardless, it didn’t stop the rough tone of his voice when he directed his words to you.
“(Y/N), you know Pitch?”
“Know me? Of course she does,” Pitch responded. “We’ve known each other for hundreds of years.”
Jack’s eyes questioned you, waiting for your response.
You didn’t want to lie, but the truth was probably one he didn’t want to hear.
“We’ve known each other for a long time,” you acknowledged.
Betrayal flickered on Jack’s face and Pitch seemed to notice that.
“Ah, I see you must of have met (Y/N) just recently,” Pitch commented. He moved towards Jack despite the staff being point his way. “Death and fear, what a combination, am I right?”
“Leave. Now.” Jack demanded.
The sound of frost crackling on the windows seemed to remind Pitch that he wasn’t as strong as the Guardian before him. His yellow eyes met yours and he could tell that he had no advantage here.
Wordlessly, he disappeared back into the shadows, leaving you and Jack behind.
“Jack - “
“You should leave too,” Jack coldly said. “I don’t even know what to say to you right now.”
His words hurt. But you knew that now wasn’t the time to explain yourself. The enemy he had fought a few years ago with a girl he met only days ago who was a grim reaper. Even you knew it was a strange sight. You didn’t owe Jack any explanation, but you wanted to explain things to him later on.
Ducking your head, you moved around him towards the door.
“She only has two days left,” you said as you reached the door. “I will be back, whether you like it or not. I have a job to do.”
With that, you opened the door and went through.
Tumblr media
Amber’s condition was getting worse.
When you had the chance, you would pop by and check up on her. At this stage, you could not take her out to go out and play anymore. But you made the effort to bring her surprises and chat with her.
Time was running out.
You still had a job to do.
During those next two days, you didn’t see Jack at all. After the encounter with him and Pitch, you weren’t sure what more you could say to the Guardian of Fun. You had told him almost every from the beginning.
What did he expect?
Hopefully, he would have taken some time to realize that death did not take sides. It was simply a part of life. To live and to die. The chance of you taking sides with Pitch was never going to be a reality.
Regardless, you tried not to bump into him if you could.
It seemed like the two of you needed space.
But that evening of the second day, you had a strong feeling that things were drawing to a close and you stuck around. If Jack showed up, then so be it.
He wasn’t going to stop you from doing your job.
He couldn’t, even if he tried.
“(Y/N)?”
You turned look at Amber, reaching out to hold her outstretched hand.
“Are you and Jack fighting?” she asked. “How come you two don’t visit me together?”
You gave her a bitter smile. Children. They always sensed when things were different much sooner than adults. They caught onto emotions so easily. They were always the most innocent when it came to death.
Giving her hand a gentle squeeze, you pat her head.
“We just had a misunderstanding, Amber.”
“Do you need to talk to him?”
“I probably should.”
Amber pointed to the space behind you. “Maybe you should talk to him now then.”
Turning, you spotted the Guardian of Fun. His blue hoodie pulled up as he stood there, leaning against the wall and watching the two of you. You weren’t sure how long he had been there, but you knew Amber had a point.
It was now or never.
If you let this chance pass you by, you might let this misunderstanding stay between the two of you forever.
The sound of voices outside in the hallways made you tilt your head slightly, trying to better listen to who it was. Recognizing them as the doctors and Amber’s parents, you knew this was your best chance to step aside.
“Yeah, I’ll go do that.” You leaned in closer to Amber. “Make sure you take the time now to say what you want to mom and dad, okay?”
“I’m running out of time, aren’t I?” Amber asked, voice quivering.
You hesitated, but only for a moment. Every part of you knew that these would be her last moments. She deserved to know.
“I’m sorry,” you softly whispered back. “I’ll be here to guide you when it is time though, okay?”
Amber nodded. “Thank you, (Y/N).”
She opened her arms out to you for a hug. While you were holding onto her embrace, you felt another set of arms wrap around the two of you. The cool presence you recognized had to belong to the only other spirit in the room.
Once the group hug was done, Amber shooed you and Jack out to talk just as her parents made their way inside her room.
“Let’s go this way,” you said, leading the way to a quieter hallway. Jack silently followed behind you.
Standing in the empty hallway, you and Jack stood there for a moment before you knew you had say something.
“Do you really think Pitch and I had something between us?” you asked, gauging for a reaction.
“It sounds like the two of you have known each other for a long time,” Jack pointed out.
“We have,” you agreed. “We play chess together sometimes. But that’s about it.”
“You never told me.”
“You never asked.”
Jack paused, but could only nod his head. “Fair enough.”
You fidgeted with the bracelet on your wrist as you gathered your thoughts. You didn’t need to tell Jack everything, but you felt like you should. You had grown to care and perhaps even like the Guardian of Fun, you didn’t want to lose him over something that felt as trivial as this.
“Not many people would ever befriend a grim reaper,” you explained, voice quiet. “It’s a lonely existence. Even among other grim reapers, its hard to fit in when I carry the weight of every soul I take like someone who was turned recently when I’m one of the most experienced reapers out there. Most of the other grim reapers have grown numb to the task, but that’s something I just can’t do.”
“(Y/N)…” Jack reached out to you.
When his fingers brushed up against your cheek, you looked up at him and Jack could see your glassy (E/C) eyes. You carried a lot more than what you were willing to show.
“Death takes no sides,” you recited. “What Pitch was implying... Its not something that could ever happen.”
“I’m sorry,” Jack said, pulling his hood down and taking a step closer to you. “I...”
Before he could finish forming his thought, there was a commotion from the direction of Amber’s room.
You knew immediately what was happening having experienced it so many times before. It never got any easier. Wiping at the unfallen tears in your eyes, you straightened up and brushed your clothes down with your hands. Hopefully you looked presentable enough.
“It’s Amber, isn’t it?” Jack asked, worry evident on his face.
“It’s time,” you murmured just loud enough for him to catch.
Walking towards the room, you stood a short distance away from the door. Jack had followed you, hovering nearby. He reminded you of the new grim reapers that you mentored a long time ago. Nervous and scared.
A light figure of a soul stepped out of the room. When her eyes caught sight of the two of you, a smile appeared on her face as she approached.
“(Y/N)! Jack! Did you get the chance to talk?” Amber asked.
You nodded, crouching down to her height. “We did. Did you get the chance to tell mom and dad everything?”
“Not everything...” Amber said, looking back at the room. The muffled sound of crying came from the closed door. “Do you think they know?”
“Of course,” Jack reassured her. He gently placed his hand on her shoulder. “Moms and dads always have a way to know what you can’t say.”
This brought a smile to Amber’s face.
For someone who never had to experience this, Jack was doing fine. Seeing them interact made the bubble of sadness inside you grow. Now was not the time to show how you felt. You reached into your jacket pocket and pulled out the letter. It fluttered out of your hand and landed on the door at the end of the hall.
A light glow emitted from the other side of the closed door.
You held your hand out to Amber. “It’s time for us to go.”
“Bye, Jack,” Amber said as she took your hand.
Jack gave her a small wave. “Bye, Amber.”
Giving Amber one last moment to linger, you led her towards the door. Like every child that you were responsible for, you hoped that if Amber had another chance at life, may she live a long, healthy and happy life.
Opening the door, you took a deep breath, looked down at the little girl you were with and stepped through it together.
Tumblr media
The next few days were quiet for you luckily. After Amber, it was like the someone knew you needed time to recover and gave you a break.
You took the chance to hole up at home, hiding under blankets as you tried your best to manage your sadness.
Your tears had dried up, your heart still felt heavy, but you were still here.
Being a grim reaper was tough.
The sound of knocking on your front door was what dragged you off your couch. Cracking the door open, you were surprised to see a magical snow bunny dance in front of you before turning into a small shower of sparkling snowflakes.
“Surprised?”
You turned to see Jack watching you from the side, casually leaning against his staff.
“Jack,” you said, looking at him. “How’d you find me?”
“I came by one time, remember?” Jack approached you. At the sight of your still swollen eyes from these last few days, his expression softened. “Mind if I come in?”
You nodded, letting him inside.
Jack left his staff by your entrance, propped up against the wall.
He came into your place with a bit of familiarity, yet still looked around as if this were his first time here. His eyes settled on the pile of blankets on your couch.
As you trailed after him, you were startled when he turned around and swept you into a hug. Despite being the bringer of winter and cold, Jack’s hug felt warm and comforting. His breath tickled your ears as he held you close.
“I’m not very good at saying the right things to comfort people,” he admitted softly. “Is this okay?”
You nodded, snuggling into his embrace. Your response drew a relieved sigh out of Jack as he pulled you in closer. He gently pet your hair as he let you hang onto the much needed comfort you needed the last few days. There were no more tears left inside of you to cry and having someone here for you was more than enough.
After some time, you shyly stepped back from Jack. He was reluctant to let you go though, hands still placed on your shoulders.
“Thank you. For being here with me.” You mull of your thoughts for a moment before ultimately deciding to voice them to the man in front of you. Meeting his eyes, you try your best to not let any emotions show in your words. “Jack, perhaps you shouldn’t spend any more time with me.”
Confusion settled on his face. “(Y/N)...”
“Being a grim reaper is like being surrounded by sadness and death. No spirits like interacting with us. Humans think we’re a bad omen. It just comes with the profession - we’re not meant to get attached to anyone.”
“That’s not true,” Jack gently protested. His hand caressed your cheek, causing heat to rise to your face as he looked down at you. “I see you, (Y/N). After everything we’ve been through this last while, I have a pretty good understanding of who you are. You can’t let your job define you.”
He gazed into your eyes, checking for any signs of rebuttal or conflict. It was the glimmer of hope he saw from you that gave him the confidence.
Jack leaned in, pressing a soft kiss on your forehead.
“Give yourself a chance,” he murmured as he leaned his forehead against yours. “And if you feel the same way as I do, give me a chance too.”
While his confession surprised you a little, you knew deep down, you had felt the same connection he was feeling.
Raising a hand, you touch Jack’s cheek. It felt as warm as how your own were feeling.
“Okay,” you agreed. “As long as you help me along the way.”
“For you, anything.”

Hii, so excited to find someone who writes for Jack Frost! Could you possibly write some headcanons for him with a s/o that's a fairy that cares for the forest. They are easily flustered by his charms despite how far in denial they are about it...
A/N: love me some good ol' frosty boy headcanons lol hope you like these! :)
NOTICE (7/10/24) : NO LONGER WRITING FOR ROTG
Word Count:635 Warnings: none, all fluff
Headcanons: Jack Frost X Forest Fairy! Reader
Tumblr media
Jack has been flirty with you since the very first moment he saw you.
He had been flying through the countryside to give a nearby town one final snow day for the year when from the corner of his eye, he saw you entering the treeline in a soft green outfit.
Being the curious guy he is, he decided to follow you, just to see what you were doing alone in the wild.
When he found you, you were growing some new spring flowers on the forest floor and after he had introduced himself, he seized the opportunity to use a flower themed picked up line.
And while it was kind of a dumb line, it still made a few butterflies erupt in your stomach.
That’s where your friendship (and mutual crush) began!
Once you get more comfortable in each other's presence, Jack will take every chance he gets to spend time with you.
He’ll try and help you with things around the forest or even help you relax if you’ve been working a little too hard.
In his typical fashion, Jack will lay on the charm and banter 100x’s more than usual just to see you try and hide the bashful expression on your face
You try your best not to be affected, but with how smooth he is, you almost always end up swooning as he flirts his way further into your heart.
Jack is enamored with every little thing you do and isn’t afraid to tell you exactly how he feels. He’ll even use his powers to create things for you as a way to show his affection and ask you to be his significant other.
And while you may feel the same way, you refuse to give in to his advances that easily. After all, You’re very busy and won’t let your fondness for him get in the way of your responsibilities to the woods.
Even so, you will also give him small plants and flowers with a subtle smile etched on your face as you thank him.
There are times when Jack will invite you to North’s workshop so that you can meet the Guardians and tell them about all of your experiences while taking care of the woods (and so that he can show you off to Bunny).
It’s important to him that you are always comfortable with and around him so if he feels like he’s overstepping any boundaries with you, he’ll take a step back and give you any space you may need.
But, If you or the forest are ever in any kind of danger, he will gather up the others as quickly as he can and rush over to help you beat whatever villain was threatening you.
In the moments after, his only thought would be making sure that you’re safe and will frantically scan over your body to make sure you got through unscathed.
Seeing the normally joyful winter spirit so distraught over a simple nature fairy like you fills you with a need to break away from your typical hesitancy, so to calm him down, you’d carefully place your palm against his pale face and redirect his gaze to yours.
When he feels your gentle touch and finally makes eye contact with you, Jack’s panicky breathing would begin to even out with a relieved sigh as he realizes that you’re okay.
He’d give you a soft smile and gingerly pull you into his chest for a chilly but still somehow warm hug, which you end up accepting even if you still deny just how much you actually care for the snowy spirit man.
He would playfully tease you about loving him the next time he comes to see you and notice that this time, you aren’t as quick to shut down the idea.

NSFW Alphabet of Jack Frost (ROTG)
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
Truthfully, he's a pretty cuddly person. Years of isolation made him touch starved, after something so intimate and personal, he's clinging to you. His arms would be wrapped around your body, cooling you off because he's extremely cold
B= Body part (favorite body part their own or their lovers)
Oh, definitely his chest and abdomen. He's slightly lanky but fit and toned, not too jacked but not too skinny. He especially loves your touches, your hands running down his chest and torso
C= Cum (anything that has to do with it)
I don't think....he can do that. LISTEN, he drowned in a freezing cold lake, if we're being logical, then he wouldn't be able to. But logistics aside, if he could, he'd accidentally cum inside. Immediately freezing everything as he realized what he did
D= Dirty secret (Pretty self explanatory)
I doubt he has any, but after doing it a couple of times, he's developed the strange urge to start a family (I know it's human instincts). It started off as wholesome thoughts, wanting a domestic life with you which slowly began to morph into determination after realizing the process of reaching a domestic life. He wouldn't voice it, but given the amount of times he's finished inside of you and the relentless pursuit is there and a slight hint to it
E= Experience (do they know what they’re doing)
Eh, I feel like he's not experienced at all. Given his situation, he doesn't really understand it. In a relationship with him, you would have to initiate most of the advances, first kiss? You did that. He'd probably look so confused and lost when you asked and said you wanted to take the relationship to the next level. He assumed marriage.
F= Favorite position
Anything where he can see your face and body, he likes seeing you. He's more so fascinated, watching as his cock connects with you, feeling your warm walls squeezing and gripping him tightly as he continues to thrust into you. He finds it addicting - okay but he's definitely a switch though, he likes watching you ride him
G= Goofy (how serious are they)
He's the president of goofy, teasing you and easing up the tension (especially if it's your first time) - he'd crack a couple jokes or two, only if you're feeling embarrassed by something and he wants to lessen that. Nothing has to be perfect, he just wants to make sure that you enjoy yourself
H= Hair (grooming habits)
He wouldn't really have access to razors, but it's pretty clean and manageable
I= Intimacy (in the moment romantic or rough/dirty)
He's a romantic. He may seem cold and feels cold, but he wants to make sure you're comfortable and feeling every inch of him. He would hold your hands as he rocks his hips, pushing into you
J= Jack off (do they masturbate and how often)
To be honest, I don't think I see him doing something like that. I feel like he'd keep his private life separate from the outside, he wouldn't want to risk something like that. But in the confines of your room and house, he'd try if you're not there to help him relieve himself
K= Kink (kinks what they like possibly unusual)
Temperature play, for sure, and marking. He doesn't really know, all he likes is your reaction to things. His cold fingers make you squirm and he likes watching how your nipples harden under his touch. The way your walls flutter around his cock when he marks your neck and shoulder. He's just figuring things out, but he'd be into anything that's for your pleasure (slight breeding)
L= Location (where they like to get it on)
Your room, your house, anywhere private. Your bed and sometimes, if bold enough, the couch and kitchen, bending you over and taking you right then and there
M= Motivation (things that makes them tick/turn ons)
You. Just you. Of course, he takes the time to appreciate soft gestures and moments with you, cuddling and kissing. Again with taking the first step, you mostly have to initiate if you want it or not. Sometimes, he'll get the hint when the kissing begins to turn more hands-on, and your hands slip under his hoodie
N= No (turnoffs or absolutely won’t do)
Anything that hurts you or anything that pushes a boundary between you and him. He knows temperature play can be risky, his touch isn't too cold and his fingers don't exactly freeze your limbs at first touch. But, he's nervous at times and wants to make sure that he doesn't cause any pain (marking is different and so is biting, he mostly started off as little nips here and there)
O= Oral (receiving or giving and how skillful they are)
He's never received nor gave, so he has no clue what he's doing when he goes down on you. But he definitely tries and for some reason, he's good at it. He eats you out like he's starving, wanting more. He doesn't object when you offer to do the same and he's definitely sensitive. Whatever you do, it's pure bliss for him, his head is thrown back, and he's holding onto anything to keep himself grounded
P= Pace (how fast they are and how long they last in bed)
Okay, he's gentle and slow at first. If you ask him to go faster and rougher, he will. He loves hearing you beg and moan louder as he pounds into you
Q= Quickie (do they prefer fast and hard)
Well, it depends. He's not usually fond of it because I feel like he's the type of guy to finish something he started. Plus, just once is never satisfactory, he wants to make sure he can enjoy it as long as possible. On the other hand, he'd definitely do something like it to edge and tease you
R= Risk (do they like to try new things)
He's new, he's going to be taking small steps at a time. So, he'll be open to new things once he's comfortable moving up the scale
S= Stamina (how many times they can go and how long each round lasts)
Oh, he can go for hours and hours. He doesn't exactly get tired. If you rile him up since morning, he can go until the afternoon, making sure both of you are satisfied
T= Toys (are they game for using sex toys on themselves or lovers)
Never tried and not against the idea. He'd find it amusing and tease you if he accidentally walked in on you using a vibrator/toy during his absence. He'd definitely say something like, "miss me that much?"
U= Unfair (how do they tease or do they enjoy suspense themselves)
He's a tease, with a shit-eating grin he would tease you until you whined and begged for him
V= Volume (are they loud, what sounds, and do they talk)
Absolutely. He'd talk you through it, whining and moaning into your ear at how good you feel, how tight you are, how hot you are. He's not loud, but loud enough for you to hear his every breath and whimper
W= Wild card (random sincannon of any sort)
He's a wholesome guy, I actually can't think of anything for this one. Unless being oblivious to his good charms and looks is one and he slowly appreciates how you fawn over him and those smirks of his
X= X-ray (what’s down below in dem pants)
I'd say he's around average, his height is around the 5'9 - 5'10 (?) I believe. So not too long or thick, just average but he definitely works with it
Y= Yearning (sexdrive level)
I wouldn't say he has a sex drive, sure he has a lot of stamina, but it's more so....You're hot and he likes to pleasure you drive. Your moans and reaction is his drive
Z= Zzzz (do they sleep after if so how quickly after)
He'll mostly likely follow after you. Once aftercare is finished and taken care of, he'd hold you and feel your breathing slow down, taking in the comfort of the sheets and your presence. Once he sees the golden dreamsand circle around your head, he falls asleep after

Dating Jack Frost would include..
You're All I Want - Cigarettes After Sex
Tumblr media
Jack was surprised when he realised you could see him
no one ever believed in him, you were the first one and then Jamie was the second one
but Jamie was a child it was natural for jim to believe in him and Santa and others, but you were a young woman
he usually watched you through your window because he thought you were beautiful
he thought you were the most beautiful woman he ever saw
but one night when he watched you again through you window, your eyes met
your eyes widen and his as well
,Jack Frost?' you whispered
you opened your window so he could get in, so he did
,You can see me?! Yah!' he said
,Yes, of course I can see you, what are you doing here?' you asked
,Well I.. I just wanted to meet you, get to know you.' he answered.
and that's how you two started dating
Jack is very protective, he doesn't want you to get hurt by anyone especially Pitch
he will be by your side 24/7
but he loved nights with you the most
that's the time when it's just you and him in your bed cuddling
oh yes he loves cuddles
he loves kissing your lips, like he loves kissing your whole face and body but your lips are the best
they'are soft and sweet, he just can't get enough of them
you sometimes steal Jack's hoodie, but he loves it
,baby, love, beautiful'
teaching Jack how to use a phone 'cause after all he's more then 300 years old and times change
his hands are very cold
sometimes he's insecure about if he's good enough for you
you are beautiful, strong, creative and he's just Jack Frost
snow fights all the time
hugs from the back while buried his face into your neck and kissing it
he sneaks up behind you when you don't pay attention to him and smack your butt
watching scary movies together while drinking hot chocolate
stroking his hair because it always calms him down
teaching him how to cook but it always ends up a huge mess
meeting the guardians
he's jealous of everyone but mostly Bunny
ice skating together
he tells you everything, he even tells you his past memories he remember 'cause of his teeth, that's how much he loves you
when you're sad he makes it snow in your room a bit to cheer you up
pulling you into his lap
flirting and cheesy pick up lines all the time, but he knows you love it
clingy! he just can't keep his hands for himself, HE LOVES TOUCHING YOU
he loves you very much and nothing will ever change that

Are you gonna give us that Jack Frost/Reader we know you wanna write?? 😆
oh god yes yes YES PLEASE I WOULD LOVE TO 😳💖 there is an absolutely tragic lack of x Reader fanworks for this man, which is devastating given how much he craves attention...i think he needs a little love to warm him right up 😉
Jack Frost x Reader headcanons 💙❄️
Tumblr media
❄️ when You first meet Jack, he flatters You like you're the only person in the world who matters. he presses earnest kisses to the backs of your palms and showers You with compliments. you're taken in by his glittering smile, and the ease with which Jack makes You feel ever so special. but with time, You notice Jack's long game. there's a shallow affect behind those attentive eyes which clues You in; he's not only always watching You for any glimmer of approval, but watching everyone else too, all of the time. every phrase is perfectly engineered to give him the response he wants, and what he wants is attention. so, You decide to turn the tables on him. You make it your life's goal to make Jack Frost melt. ❄️ when You confront Jack on his scheming behaviour, his persona cracks like ice. his smile drops instantly and he takes on a mocking, scathing tone. "You think you've figured it all out?" he scoffs. "Please. Your gullibility would give the April Fool a field day. Why don't you scootle along now, before you get yourself hurt?" but You see it: the hurt flickering behind those frost-blue eyes. You step closer to him, and don't miss the way he flinches. "Aren't you tired of all this, Jack?" You ask quietly. "Always calculating. Always trying to get on top. You're trying so hard to make people like you...you can't see it when they actually do." Jack's hands are ice-cold when You slip your fingers through his own. he blusters in protest, tripping over his words as he tries to formulate a witty retort...but a light dusting of pink blooms along his cheekbones.
❄️ sincere affection is a foreign notion to Jack, and he skitters around it like a deer on a frozen lake. years of hypervigilance and rejection have him distrustful of your motivations, even when You speak your mind. "Surely this is some elaborate trick," Jack tells You once afternoon, when the pair of you are bundled up together under one ultra-long, snowflake-patterned scarf. "I'm still waiting for the big reveal, and I'm sure it'll be a showstopper." yet you're used to the pitfalls of Jack's paranoid mind, and You ask him, "What if the big reveal is that I think you look really cute when you're flustered?" without waiting for an answer, You capture his lips in a kiss. Jack is immediately reactive and whines softly into you, but You slide your arms over his shoulders and lock your fingers behind his back: reassuring him. keeping him safe. telling him it's okay to be vulnerable here. ❄️ nothing could have prepared you for what Jack's real love looks like. remarkably, Jack is restrained when he's being insincere: the actual depths of adoration he has for You are astonishing. he's physically clingy: always having a hand rest on your shoulder, or brushing his thigh against yours under the table. when you're alone he loves to envelop You, whether that's by drawing You in for an impromptu hug or falling asleep cuddling You like you're a teddy bear. his kisses (frequent and soft) leave small trails of ice crystals along your bare skin, and he always grins when You shiver. "Oh dear, are you cold, darling?" Jack asks with a wink. "It would appear my efforts to warm you up have been in vain. However...there's no harm if I keep trying, is there~?" ❄️ although he's freezing cold in the extremities, Jack isn't frozen all the way through. a gentle warmth exudes from Jack's chest, and You often spend your evenings intertwined with your head resting there, listening to the curious flutter of his trapped, searing heart. You murmur gentle words of affirmation into his neck, and delight in how he keens beneath You. when You look up at him, You adore the way his eyes sparkle. Jack is beautiful in the way only a snowflake can be: wholly unique, with hidden complexities even a lifetime wouldn't allow You to observe. Jack is wonderful. and Jack is yours.

So how about tooth fairy Jack frost Easter bunny and mr claus(sorry if do do him) with someone that represents karma and make bad things happen to terrible people.
Tooth fairy,Jack frost,Easter bunny/bunnymund and north with a karma reader
I have so many requests so I'm starting off with the requests that have the less characters bc they take me the less amount of time.
Of course you can,for this you will be chosen as a guardian because karma dosnt nescerally have someone who represents it so they just have to believe in karma and shit.
Also norths will be more platonic than romantic
Has been proof read
Ty for the request
Tumblr media
Tooth fairy
Shes kinda scared that you'll be something like pitch black
However once shes been explained to that you give people what they had coming she understands alot better
Despite her first interpretation shes actually very sweet
She sees you give a bully karma and she just smiles sweetly at you.
You and her come across each other every so often, usually it's because someone had their tooth taken out unwillingly(like someone punching someone or something)
She likes hanging out when shes not collecting teeth or just having some down time
You also explain to her that when you give someone karma they had it coming and deserved it
You like to hang out with her at the tooth palace(or whatever its called)
You have actually given abit of karma to pitch before
There have been times where you've had to put bunnymund and Jack in their place, she finds it funny whenever this happens
Her mini tooths love you to bits
Even when your not at the palace you'll always have a small group of them following you about
They like to make sure your okay and pick up teeth along the way
Tumblr media
Jack frost
Honestly hes kinda excited
A guardian of karma sounds excitciting
He probally wouldnt be surprised if he was one of the first to receive karma though
He asks you constantly why you give him karma, much like a kid who broke a vase then pretended they didnt do anything
Hes very clingy
Tries to get other people out of trouble by bribeing you
If hes ever done something that you need to give him karma for he'll try get out of it by sweet talking
If there one person he'll never stop you giving karma to its pitch
Infact he constantly whines to you about giving pitch more, even going as far as making things up
He likes putting his hand on your shoulder
Will start snow fights with you at random
He will definatly see you floating around during an unexpected storm
Your almost constantly busy so he dosnt get to much time with you
Because of this he will definatly start more frost days so you can spend a day off with him and enjoy the snow
Tumblr media
Bunnymund/Easter bunny
Hes mixed between two mindsets
Having another responsible guardian
Another Jack situation
He would definitely be surprised if he got any karma, its be a "I dont think I deserve this " even though he knows what hes done
Hes definitely got it easy after seeing the type of karma you gave to Jack though
Will ask if you can give karma to Jack, because he was playing with some of the elves....
He likes to hang out with you when your not doing anything in Easter island
He likes to give you personalized eggs as presents
Hes very protective of you especially when coming on the topic of pitch
Speaking of,bunny would definatly ask how much karma hes due, isnt surprised with the amount
You sometimes help him place the eggs around at Easter, its a fun activity for the day
Your the only one he'll ever allow to brush his fur,let alone touch it
Glares at Jack if he gets to close
Tumblr media
North(platonic)
He trust the man in the moon, and so far manny hasnt been wrong in choosing his guardians
Hes also heard about you before so hes confident in manys choosing
Hes grateful that you seperate Jack and bunny alot, they can be quite tiring sometimes
Since you dont really have a realm or anything north let's you hang about in the workshop
The yetis and elvs love you
The elves will often climb on you or show you some of the toys
You help the yetis paint and make the toys every so often
He gives you one of the snow globes so if you cant make it back yourself you can just throw the globe
He acts very much like a father figure to you
Asking how your day was and what some of the people did etc
He was the one to reasure the others that you ment no Ill intention
You fit very well into the guardians
If north thinks you need a break he gives you a toy with a note with it
Let's you pet the reindeer
He allows you to watch the globe if your ever bored

I saw that you are accepting fic requests. Do you write about some DreamWork's characters too? I wanted to request a Pitch Black from the rise of the guardians.
And I wanted to say that I love your work, your fanfiction are very good and I love the way you manage to write the characters so well!!!😭❤️❤️❤️
“My Dear Cupid.”
(Pitch Black X Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: Pitch, better known as the boogeyman, ended up developing a new feeling that he had never felt in all his years, feeling for the new guardian who was your total opposite, for you the guardian of love, the cupid.
A/N: By great coincidence I was watching this film recently. Of course I'm going to write about Dreamworks characters too!! You can ask me, but it will take me a while to make some fanfiction because there are already a lot of requests in front. The next one will be Clopin Trouillefou and Hades from Hercules.

He hadn't imagined that this could happen, no one had, least of all her, who he thought had deliberately made the enchantment so powerful that it affected the king of nightmares.
That flame and that heat disturbed him. Pitch had never felt that burning in all his millennia of life, but everything changed after his first encounter with the guardian of love, Cupid.
After a meeting of the guardians at the North Pole on the subject of the new guardian, The Man in the Moon determined that the new guardian should destroy Pitch and protect the children, along with the duty of bringing joy to them.
Knowing this information for himself, Pitch decided to face the chosen one personally, after all, a simple cupid couldn't do anything against him; or so he thought.
The blizzard and the intense cold dominated the place, but that didn't bother the bogeyman at all, because everyone knows that cold and fear combine perfectly with each other; leaving only agony and suffering. When he saw a silhouette in the middle of all that snow, he deduced that it might be you and sneaked up from behind to destroy you with just one blow from his scythe, and you wouldn't even know who hit you.
That's when he saw your face. The moment you sensed that you were being pursued, you quickly turned around and aimed your bow and arrow, surprising him and leaving him static in that position holding his scythe.
The two of you stood in silence, staring deeply into each other's eyes. Pitch seemed awestruck by your appearance, not imagining that you looked so angelic and delicate. Seeing you pointing your arrow and looking deeply at him, while the snow from the blizzard stuck to your hair, was a sight worthy of a painting.
It was hard to say what kind of look he was looking at and where the flame that was coming from him was coming from. Pitch wasn't as expressive, but his gaze showed that he had never been as perplexed as he was at that moment; it was one of admiration, and therefore full of disturbance and turmoil.
And you looked at him confused, but also wary. "Why doesn't he just attack me?" You asked yourself, and you couldn't attack him either, you were overcome with trembling and the cause of this was the intense cold. Before you could shoot your arrow, he quickly disappeared, using your shadow, to his advantage, which was close to him. That was so fast that a small gasp of fright escaped his lips. You lost sight of him, but looked around, still holding your arrow and bow tightly in case he appeared by surprise, but no, he was really gone.
That was your little encounter. After that day, his thoughts were dominated by you, appearing in such strong colors that this unknown feeling and the desire to tear you apart grew more and more. Your wings were so delicate, your neck so fragile and graceful that he wanted to squeeze and twist it using just one of his hands.
He removed all the hatred and evil from his heart and recognized that this hatred and evil was only love, which had become terrible things in the heart of the bogeyman, a poisonous, hateful and vicious love that seemed more like an obsession. In all these years it never occurred to him that the guardian of the nightmare, the terror of every child, could fall in love with such a fragile, angelic creature, the complete opposite of him, and therefore one of his enemies, but unfortunately it did.
That's when a thought came to him: you were a cupid, the guardian of love, and you made people fall in love with each other. Could that be? It had to be, there was a great possibility that you had put a spell on him. The fixed idea kept coming back and torturing him, he had to get rid of this doubt in his mind by going to you and putting an end to this agony once and for all.
*****
You were flying to your temple after several hours of work. Of course bringing couples together was your specialty, but you also worked on preserving the sympathy, innocence and gentleness of children, because love was related to all that too, and your work only worked with the power contained in the substances you put in your arrows.
On the way there, you sensed that something was wrong, and unfortunately your intuition was right. Your temple was being invaded by Pitch's "horses", but they quickly left as a figure, and when you looked a little further, you noticed that they were stealing your arrows and the vials containing the substances. This made you extremely worried because your arrows and those vials were your most important things, they were what made you the cupid and guardian.
When the last creature left your temple as fast as a shadow, you followed it trying to catch up with it as it flew, it was hard to keep up as the nightmare was fast, but you didn't give up for anything, you weren't so focused on catching up with the nightmare that you didn't even remember to call the other guardians to help you.
With that chase, the nightmare took you into a forest and disappeared among the trees, you landed and looked around. The place was totally dark and gray with a certain evil malice, as if there was no life, only melancholy, which made you immediately become defensive and walk among those trees and hold your bow and arrow.
You looked around for that smoky black creature as you entered the forest, until your ears caught the sound of a neigh and you knew it wasn't just any horse. The cupid ran quickly to where the sound was coming from and stopped at the sight of a broken, old bed in a deep hole, getting closer cautiously, a bad energy taking you over more and more and you were slightly startled to hear the neighing again, but this time inside that hole. You had no choice, had to get back what had been stolen from you. So you entered that deep, dark hole, using your wings to land gently without hurting yourself.
As you stepped into the room, you looked around. It was a poorly lit cave, the lights were just a few rays of sunlight that invaded the deep cavern, who knows how many meters you were underground, the cold dominated the place, but it was bearable. You managed to discover Pitch's hideout, but you also wondered whether you would make it out alive or sane. You gathered your courage and decided to explore the place while your guard was still up, but even so, your fear was palpable, and he loved it, little did you know that he savored your fear.
You stood out in that dark, gray place, with your angelic appearance, lively and so delicate, it was obvious that you shouldn't be there, that environment didn't suit you. The negative energy in that place was so strong that it gave you the creeps, and you also felt the sensation of being watched. You just wanted to take what was yours and leave.
As you walked around the place, you could see the large globe with the little lights on, and you came closer to look at it. You knew that each light was a child who believed in you, but how could he have that in his cave? Your thoughts were interrupted by a voice:
“Looking for something?”
When you looked back, you saw only his shadow on the wall and wasted no time in shooting your arrow, but the shadow quickly disappeared, slipping into one of the corridors of that cave and you followed him, but lost sight of him when you reached that dimly lit corridor:
“Put the arrow down, dear. Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you.” His voice echoed around, in that calm tone of his that could put a child to sleep.
“Afraid? I'm not afraid of you.” You said, still holding your bow and arrow, looking around and turning quickly to look for any sign of him.
“Don't lie cupid, my specialty is understanding people's fears...” Then he stepped out of the shadows, standing in front of you with that smile on his face as he looked you up and down. “...just as you can understand love, but don't seem to understand when it comes from a certain person...”
The bogeyman walked quietly around you, and you couldn't take your eyes off him as aimed the arrow. Both of your hearts were beating fast at the presence of the other, but for different reasons, yours being of fear, but his being of love and eagerness to put his hands on you, if only for the slightest touch.
“Give me back what you stole from me.” You said commandingly. “You don't need my things.”
“Don't you see that I did this just to bring you to me?” He asked seriously and stopped walking.
“And what do you want from me?”
As you asked this, a small smile formed on his lips and he disappeared back into the darkness behind him. You quickly followed him and as you passed through the darkness you felt like you had been teleported to another corner of the cave. He was toying with you, you were desperate, feeling lost and wondering how you got there. You dropped your guard and felt the bow being quickly taken from your hands, one of his horses had picked it up and carried it away, now leaving you unarmed:
“I just need some answers on a specific matter that's been bothering me for days.” You heard his voice echoing again and his shadow walked around the corners of the wall as he explained. “I've never felt a feeling like this in all these years, I feel weak and anxious when it comes to you, but at the same time it's such a pleasant warmth and delicious anxiety when you're around.... Oh! My cupid... What have you done?”
He asked with a sigh. You were confused and stunned by this information, you knew exactly what he was describing and what that feeling was. He was in love with you? But how?...
“My spell doesn't work on myself, I can't make someone fall in love with me. I didn't even know you could fall in love...”
You said as you took slow steps backwards, suddenly you felt a presence at your back and a shiver ran through your body as you felt two icy hands on your shoulders and a whisper close to your ear:
“We seem to have discovered something together. So why would I, the bogeyman, be in love with you, such a delicate cupid who is the complete opposite of me?”
The sensation of the king of nightmares' icy touch on your warm skin brought a small thermal shock to both of them, his presence so close exuded a very strong negative energy, but at the same time transformed it into a pleasurable adrenaline and fear. His question made you quiet and also thoughtful:
“Did that leave you speechless, love?” he asked, speaking close to your ear while his hands rubbed your shoulders and squeezed them lightly, making him inhale deeply as he felt satisfied and relaxed at finally being able to feel you and satisfy his curiosity about what it was like to touch your soft skin.
“I don't know what to say... I can only say that we don't decide who we fall in love with, it's impossible to control the desires of the heart. And I can't undo that since it wasn't my spell, it was natural.”
“I confess I wanted you to undo that...” He explained as one of his hands left your shoulder and went to your waist, bringing you closer to him until your back and wings brushed against his chest. “It made me so weak, but I changed my mind when I realized how good this feeling was, but also how torturous... It's an almost addictive sensation, and so new.”
As he spoke close to your neck with the sensation of his lips almost touching your sensitive skin, your attention went to his hand, which was on your shoulder and slowly descending, tracing its way down your skin, to your elbow and arriving at your small and delicate hand. His long, slender fingers intertwined with yours, and the energy of that touch gave you a different sensation, of course there was no good energy coming from Pitch, but somehow you felt a warm, protective feeling, therefore of great danger and you felt the same anxiety.
Your gaze shifted from your entwined hands to his face, your heart softening as you saw the way he looked at you, revealing the deep burning desire in his eyes. For the first time you discovered that there was love in the eyes of the king of nightmares. But you were uncertain, he was your enemy, you couldn't trust the man who was as treacherous as a snake, and besides, what would your friends think of that? You snapped out of your thoughts when you heard a small laugh from him:
“I don't understand love, but there's something that leads me to believe that we were meant for each other. It's evident from the mere contact of our hands.” He spoke in a calm, enveloping voice as he lightly squeezed your waist and caressed your hand. That's when you pulled away and faced him, and he felt an emptiness at that.
“I can't.” You said thoughtfully and with a hint of sadness, this couldn't happen, you were a guardian and you were supposed to protect the children from the bogeyman. Unfortunately he was right, however wrong it was, it seemed certain that you were soul mates. That smile wouldn't leave his face.
“You're afraid of giving yourself to me, afraid of finding out what the other guardians will think, afraid of disappointing them.” The taller man approached you and grabbed your chin, lifting your face, forcing you to face him once more. “Am I right, my cupid?”
“But my goal is to destroy you.”
Holding your chin firmly, he moved even closer, and you stared into the deep golden eyes that were fixed on your lips. That man's ability to bewitch you and influence you to give in was remarkable, and it was practically impossible to resist after so many looks, touches and closeness... He was bewitching you like a snake that grabs its prey so cautiously to strike next:
“You already destroy me completely just by your presence... Don't you see that I'm totally at your mercy, darling? You have me in the palm of your hand.”
Cupid, which was you, felt almost as if you were being seduced into opening Pandora's box, about to unlock the doors to dangerous territory with no turning back. It was slowly turning into a game of pride and hesitation. Their faces were so close that you could feel them both breathing, a chill went through his stomach and he felt his cheeks start to heat up. Before you could say anything, you were surprised by his kiss on your red lips, breaking the distance and forcing you to give in to your hidden desires. Your eyes widened in surprise at the bogeyman's audacity, but you returned the kiss after closing your eyes.
While you were kissing with such fervor, Pitch slid his hand around your waist, drawing you close to him, joining your bodies, while his other hand went up to the back of your neck, gently pulling your hair. This made you moan involuntarily during the kiss, at which point he took the opportunity to explore your mouth with his tongue. Pitch held you so close to his body that he seemed to have waited years for this moment, he was desperate to feel you, your body, your lips and hear your sweet moans. You had never experienced a kiss like this, it was so needy, possessive and deep, you felt as if you were the only creature that mattered to him and his most valuable possession, and indeed, you were.
He interrupted the kiss, both of you panting, trying to catch your breath, you realized you were wrong that it was over when he started kissing your neck, distributing light bites and sucking on the sensitive, soft skin of the cupid, marking it like an animal marking territory. Your wings fluttered softly as you felt his cool fingers caressing them and his knee sliding between your legs, teasing you. Knowing he wanted to push the limits, you pushed him away from your neck, and your hands rested on his chest as your eyes met:
“That can't happen again...” He laughed when you said this and gradually let go of your arms and pulled away, feeling the flaming trail of your palm on his chest.
“Deny it all you want, I know you'll come back again and we'll have lots of dates like this, love.” The taller man removed the small lock of hair from your face. “You know where my hideout is, just visit me.”
That man knew very well how to manipulate someone, especially a creature as sentimental and romantic as you. He magically took your little bow and arrow from his back and handed it to you, and as soon as you took it you looked at him doubtfully:
“Until another day, my cupid.”
As he said this he snapped his fingers and suddenly you no longer felt the ground around your feet and you fell into that darkness, desperately trying to find a position to fly to, but as soon as you did you were teleported back to your temple, specifically into your bedroom and fell onto your bed. You were breathing heavily from the adrenaline and the unexpected fright, so you sat on the bed thinking about what had happened and running your hand through your hair.
Your enemy had just declared his feelings to you, given himself to you completely, and then kissed you and you gave in to that temptation. Taking a deep breath, you wrapped your arms around yourself, feeling empty for having stopped such bold caresses.
When you got out of bed, confused by your feelings, you wondered what your next meeting would be like, if it would be the same and if you should give in next time, or if there would be a next time. And as you looked in the mirror you also wondered how you were going to hide those marks on your neck from your guardian friends...
End...

— Are they arguing again? — Tooth looked uncertainly towards the hall.
— Yes but at least the chocolate boxes are flying! — North caught the package mid-flight.
Satisfied, he tore the dark red, shiny paper. Inside he found a mixture of pralines. He was trying to decide which flavour he should choose when a snowball flew above his head. Unfazed, he decided to eat the entire package at once.
— Maybe we should separate them? — The fairy was nervously flying next to the fireplace.
— That's what I'm talking about! — The Bunny wiped the snow from his face.
Judging by the dirt on his paws, he had just jumped out of the tunnel. He didn't like the welcome snowball straight to the forehead.
— I do not see a problem. — Santa continued to eat the best nut chocolates.
He was interrupted by a loud bang.
He rushed towards the argument. The corridor looked like a battlefield. The entire batch of robots was lying on the floor. Dolls and blocks followed suit. The production machine turned off. There were screws and wires sticking out of it. The paint poured straight onto the carpet, dyeing it rainbow colors. Yeti, in charge of production, was sitting in the corner. He covered his head with one paw and stuffed chocolate hearts with the other. Two Guardians stood in the colourful chaos.
— Valentine's Day should be joyful! — Jack Frost was making a new snowball in his hands.
— Get on with your job! — [Reader] deftly dodged the throw.
— North, good to have you here! Tell her. Love is a beautiful, joyful feeling, isn't it? So the holiday should be like that too! — he said as if it were the most obvious truth.
— You know nothing! Who is the Spirit of Valentine's Day here? You or me?
The girl took out her bow. In a second, she reached for an arrow from the pink quiver. She was already drawing the string when a loud voice interrupted her:
— Enough of this! I don't care who started it — North added as the two prepared to explain. — You'll clean it all up. Every single toy, got it?
***
— You know what she once told me? — North put his arm around Jack. — That love is ten percent joy and ninety percent suffering. Do not interrupt me. — He glared as he saw the guard open his mouth. — She has good reason to think so. I don't agree with her but I don't question her work and neither should you.
They had already passed the main hall and three floors and the boy was beginning to wonder where they were going. It took him a while to understand the purpose of the strangely long trip.
North grabbed him by the hood and then unceremoniously pushed him over the threshold of the room. When the boy heard the lock click, he knew something was up.
— But it's a bit inhumane. — He heard Toothiana's voice from behind the door.
— They didn't act like humans when they demolished the quarters! And now they will sit there until they make up!
The winter spirit yanked on the doorknob. Unsuccessfully.
He turned around and saw what he feared most. [Reader] was sitting on the couch. She was slowly realizing the situation they were in. A closed room without windows made escape impossible. If they want to leave, they have to come to an agreement.
He walked over to the sofa and sat down on the opposite end from his companion. He stared stubbornly at the fireplace. Orange flames licked the pieces of wood. They produced unbearable heat. The winter spirit didn't like it. He would much rather have the fire extinguished but he had no intention of moving. [Reader] was getting cold quickly. Why did he even care? He convinced himself that it would escalate the argument and left it at that. Because there's no way he would care about her...
Out of boredom, he started counting the seconds. He wanted to estimate the time he would spend in the room. However, he quickly gave up. Instead, he pulled the nearest pillow, placed it under his head, and decided to take a nap.
— Did he bring you here too, saying he wanted to talk? — The spirit of Valentine's Day couldn't stand the silence.
— Yeah — he muttered.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the girl shift uncomfortably.
— So maybe we can pretend we've made up and just leave here, huh?
The boy turned his head towards her. He hadn't expected it but the idea was tempting.
— I'm in. — He smiled mischievously.
He was already getting up from the couch when the plan backfired.
— I heard everything, you cheaters. You two should really get along! — Santa shouted from behind the door. — I'll know if you lied to me!
There was a slight threat in his tone.
— North, you weren't supposed to eavesdrop! — Toothiana's loud voice joined the conversation. — Don't disturb mind him, little ones! — she added sweetly.
For a moment, a scuffle could be heard. Then the sounds gradually faded away. Apparently they're gone.
Resigned, the boy sat back down between the soft pillows. Now the idea of using tricks stopped running through his mind. First of all, it would be suspicious. Secondly, although he didn't want to admit it, he was a little afraid of the Guardian of Christmas. His pleasant exterior concealed a weird man.
He decided to look at the room. Unfortunetely, it was empty. The brown boards were starting to get old. The wallpaper with a motif of red and green baubles was eye-catching. The thick, heavy curtains showed traces of dust. Frost preferred not to know the last time someone decided to swipe it out. Seeing the gray layer on the mantelpiece, he felt the urge to clean the room. Unfortunately, even if he wanted to kill time this way, he had no way to do it. The yeti probably took out the rest of the furniture. As always. Why were they doing this? Nobody knew that. When asked about this, the creatures grunted in their own language and continued doing their thing. For this reason, rearrangements in the quarters were frequent. Sometimes even the owner of the bed woke up in a different place than where he fell asleep.
Unfortunately, the tour did not kill the boredom. It was too short.
Jack sat behind the couch and started playing with his staff. He conjured two snow hares. He bet on who would reach the finish line first. He set his end point at the other end of the room. Later he started changing animal species. He wasn't having the best time but he couldn't think of anything else.
— Can you make buildings too? — [Reader]'s voice came from above.
She leaned out from the couch, looking at the frosty creations jumping, running, crawling, and swimming across the floor.
— Yes, of course. Any special requests? — He turned around.
It was a reflex. The Guardian of Fun did not refuse to give joy to others. Especially when it was within his capabilities. Only after a while did it occur to him that they were still quarreling, so maybe he shouldn't break away so eagerly.
— Could you make a hut?
Frost's first instinct was to create his family home but he suspected that wasn't the point.
— A little more sloping roof — added the girl — and an orchard on the left.”
The boy listened attentively, following the instructions. Soon, a snow model was created. The house was surrounded by a fence. Little cows and pigs were grazing nearby. They were also accompanied by a troop of hens led by a rooster. The Spirit of Winter had a slight problem with the flowers. He didn't know much and suspected that the garden turned out hopelessly. But he had trees in his little finger. Probably because he often jumped on them, playing with the wind.
— I guess that's all.
He didn't even notice when the Guardian of Love took a seat next to him on the hard boards. She stared as if enchanted at the image stretching before her. The smile that graced her face let him know that he had done a good job after all. There was a lot of melancholy in her look.
— It this your home? — he asked.
— Yeah... — She touched a small sheep in the middle of the pasture. — It was until... until I became... you know.
Dead. This word came to mind. Their friends would probably think about their jobs. They'd put it more like: Before I became a Guardian... They stopped being alive a long time ago. However, like him, she was relatively young. As young as you can be after several hundred years. She still remembered.
— I drowned. — He felt like his own voice sounded foreign.
Why exactly did he tell her that? After all, she didn't ask him anything.
However, he continued the story when he saw her break away from the model.
Jack still remembered the brown, worn-out skates. He rode them across the frozen lake. He was fourteen then. He was doing quite well. No one in the village could ride so nimbly. His younger sister was just studying. She took uncertain steps. She was getting better and better. After all, she was doing it under his supervision. And yet, that afternoon, it would all end. The crunch of ice that heralded disaster was still ringing in his ears. He tried to get Mary to jump aside. Just like in Hopscotch — a game he once invented. He failed and instinctively used the staff. It was enough to push her to safety. However, he landed underwater himself. The feeling of momentary relief was replaced by shock. He tried desperately to breathe. Jack couldn't find any support for his hands. The cold seeped into his bones. He was unable to get out of the icy water. The longer he fought, the faster he lost strength. Later, in a hazy memory, he still remembered going to the bottom. Jack was surrounded by darkness and piercing cold. He closed his eyes from exhaustion. The next time he opened his eyes, the Moon was above him. Then he was spared a second life. So much time had passed, and yet the memory was still fresh. Especially after he lost them to the Black and fought to get them back.
[Reader] wordlessly placed her hand on his own. She didn't say anything but he knew she understood. It wasn't easy to forget about your death. Nor come to terms with a lost life but watching the people he loved grow old and pass away seemed the cruelest thing to him.
— They sentenced me to beheading — she said in a quiet voice.
He didn't push. He had no right to do this. He was surprised when she continued.
The story began with an ordinary day in the countryside with her boyfriend. He was a serious candidate for a fiancé. He worked as a castle assistant. Frost began to wonder exactly how many years ago the Spirit of Valentine's Day had died. If she remembered such times, she must have been older than he had previously thought. Due to these thoughts, Jack lost the thread of the story until she started talking about the theft.
Thanks to his work, the boy easily stole a jewel from a rich lord's box. As luck would have it, the family brooch would attract the attention of every neighbour in the area. Lack of sufficient caution resulted in a denunciation. The devastated [Reader] didn't know what to do. Until he said he wanted to spend the money on a wedding. Something broke inside her. Ultimately, what tipped the scales was the fact that he had a family to support. She was just an orphan working on a farm. She decided to sacrifice herself. With a heavy heart, she went to the castle, where she confessed her guilt. No one asked how on earth she could do it, since no one would even let her into the salons. Yet the court seemed satisfied. No attention was even paid to the lies and ambiguities. They omitted the absurdities contained in them. Another head-to-head trial meant a quicker break.
From the whole story, one sentence stuck in Frost's mind: I will never love anyone like I love you. This is what the thief promised to the Spirit of Valentine's Day before she sacrificed herself for him. He sensed this would be important from the way she quoted it. As if she had engraved it in her memory, somewhere deep in her mind.
— Do you know what happened when I got a second life? — she sighed. — That I died just so he could marry another woman. He waited a week. Week. Apparently he was counting on my naivety and he succeeded. — She went back to playing with the snow model.
— I'm sorry. — He wasn't sure if a cliché could do any good.
Such sentences rarely brought relief. They were repeated out of habit. Probably because people had no words for certain situations.
— You don't have to be sorry. — She smiled slightly. — You gave me a lot of joy, as befits the Guardian of Fun. I was able to see the farm where I grew up once again.
— Have you been there?
— A few times. Today there are lots of apartment blocks there. It has changed over the years. —  She shrugged and looked at him. — Do you know why I told you all this?
He thought she was trying to repay history for history. And yet this wasn't the answer she was counting on. So he fell silent.
— Because I see love differently than you. Over the course of four hundred and fifty-two years, I have encountered so many different shades of this feeling that you can't even imagine. I consoled those crying after the loss of loved ones. I have seen mothers sacrifice themselves for the sake of their children. How people die from diseases, away from their loved ones. And also how they spend their old age together and overcome problems together. That's why I think I'm a better Guardian of Love than the Spirit of Valentine's Day. I help people celebrate what is important every day. This one day of the year is not that special. So please don't interfere with my work anymore, she concluded. — I'll stay in my quarters on the 14th. This holiday will be fine without me, just like before.
— Let's say I agree, although I still think you should go out and see people having fun... — He noticed how much she wanted to interrupt him —...but I won't question the way you work anymore. Okay? — He held out his hand.
— Okay. Now let's go shout some more. Maybe they'll hear that it's time to let us go. There is absolutely nothing to do here.
***
— If this is some stupid joke, I swear you'll get an arrow up your ass… — [Reader] muttered.
Jack didn't blame her for complaining. She was blindfolded, so he led her by the hand. He didn't think this through. He should have handed it over only at the bottom of the stairs. So he had to deal with an uncomfortable situation for three floors. He even offered to let them fly with a staff but the Guardian of Love wouldn't hear of it.
— Almost there! — He removed the cloth, revealing the headquarters.
He was glad that the yetis had managed to repaint the decorations. The blue color would spoil the whole effect. Now they could admire the rows of red and pink hearts. They decorated every corner. Soft pillows in the same color were placed on the sofa and in front of it. They also managed to repair the TV. Although there was never any reception here, the player worked flawlessly. Tooth was sorting through a pile of old films. Bunny kept complaining that she only chose romantic comedies. He preferred to see a bloody horror movie. Sandy was almost asleep standing up, sending sand hearts up from time to time. Behind him, on the table, there were mixed chocolates. North was stuffing himself with them, so Frost kept the rest of his food supplies in his room. Otherwise, they might run out quickly and the fun was only just beginning.
— Why doesn't this surprise me? — The girl rubbed her temple.
— Just so we're clear, I'm not interfering with your work. —  He rested his head on his staff. — I do my duty. I jumped at the chance and we're going to have a fun evening.
He gave her his trademark smile. He was surprised to see that she didn't yell at him after all. He was secretly pleased with it, although he hadn't counted on it. She also seemed to be having a good time with her friends.
Valentine's Day night passed quickly. Hardly anyone made it to the morning. After three movies, most Guardians were teary-eyed. Jack sat between the snoring Bunny and [Reader], who was sprawled on his shoulder. He was uncomfortable but he didn't move. He didn't want to wake anyone up. The movie was still playing. Frost didn't focus on the plot. Everything that was happening started to escape him a few scenes ago. He pulled a small heart out of his sweatshirt pocket. They handed out shiny pieces of paper to each other. Everyone had to write something nice about the other person. They promised not to read them until the next day but purely theoretically the new day had already lasted for several hours. So he smiled to himself, satisfied with this justification and opened all the Valentines one by one.
Thank you.
That one word let him know he had done a good job. Maybe next year he'll be able to take her out to celebrate with others.
PS Will you be my Valentine?
This sentence, in turn, sent a rush of heat through him. He was used to embarrassing others, not being  embarassed. And certainly not like this. The matter was explained by the other side of the heart. Marked with marker:
YOU'VE BEEN FOOLED!
He promised himself that he would never admit that she was right. In the morning he will pretend that he saw it after all. This was the plan. However, somewhere in the corner of his mind there was the thought of what he would do if it wasn't a joke...

Imagine: Jack observing you tuck in your sibling into bed that believes in him
Tumblr media
Disclaimer; This is inspired by a post from @cutiepieloves131
"Cupcake!" You called for your sister. She was jumping up and down on the bed. It wasn't anything new seeing her this happy. She was telling you a story. She says it happened weeks after you left for collage.
Cupcake ran outside her room and into the kitchen. "Yeah?" You looked at her after drying your hands on your shirt. "Uh, why don't you go to bed, I'll tuck you in and you can tell me all about it, okay?" You walked up to her and crouched down placing your hand on her shoulder.
She smiled widely and nodded. She ran up to her room and you stood up laughing and shacking your head. You walked upstairs and opened Cupcake's room. She was jumping around and waving to the window or whoever was outside.
You walked next to her. "Uh, Cupcake, who are waving at, honey?" She looked at you with a big grin. "Jack Frost!" She said. You puckered your lips and nodded slowly. "Who- you know what? Doesn't matter." You gestured to the bed. "Get on the bed, please."
She turned around and walked to the bed. You came to the other side of the bed not noticing a certain winter spirit watching you through the window. "Cupcake?" You asked as she seemed to look around her bed. "What are you looking for?"
"My unicorn. Have you seen it?" She asked desperately. You looked around and saw it near me in the window seat. You smiled and walked over there. You picked it up and as you stood you noticed frost on the window. "Weird..." You mumble totally obvious to the person hanging upside down your window, observing you.
"Cupcake, I found her..." You turned to look at the he window one last time and then walked towards Cupcake and walked to the other side of the bed. "Yay! Thank you!" She hugged the plush and you smiled. "So, that story?" You sat on the bed facing her.
"Right!" She sat up on the bed. "So it all started outside two days after you left. I was building a snowman and all of a sudden a snowball hit me!" She laughed and so did you.
"When I turned around I saw Jamie and his friends. We started playing with the snow until Jamie fell and rode his sled all over the streets! It was awesome!" She stood up and spread her arms and giggled. You laughed as Jack - who still observed you two - chuckled.
"But he did end up with a missing teeth..." You sighted and placed a hand in her chubby cheek. "I'm glad you got the courage to have fun and play with kids about your age."
"Me too! Then there was this whole thing where the Easter bunny didn't show up. But after Jamie made us believe in the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, The Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, and Jack Frost!"
You looked at her confused. "Jack Frost?" You asked as you pulled her down to lay on her bed. "Yeah! Jack Frost, is the spirit of winter and now guardian of fun!" She got comfy and you smiled at her. "How does he look like?" You asked. "Well, close your eyes." You did what Cupcake said.
"Imagine a guy with white hair-"
"White?" You asked as you opened your eyes. "Yes white now close your eyes!" She giggled and you closed your eyes. "Okay, so, he has pale skin, blue eyes, he wears a blue hoodie with brown pants, and he's usually and all the time, barefoot."
"Hmm, he's cute." You said with your eyes still closed. "You have even seen him!" She giggled. Jack chuckled as he got right side up and observed you. You opened your eyes and laughed. "Well, I'm imagining him!" You tickled her and she laughed telling you to stop and you did.
"Okay, no more games. You have school tomorrow." You said and Cupcake's smile dropped. "I don't wanna go to school..." She sounded sad which got yours and Jack's attention. "Why?" You asked as you tucked her in. "The kids at school think I'm weird."
"Aw, Cupcake, I'm sorry. What do they say to you?" You placed your hand in her cheek. "They say all types of mean things." She hugs her unicorn closer. "You don't have to tell me now just know you are beautiful," You said already getting an idea of why they are being mean to her.
"Smart, kind, and very sweet. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise." You say as you grab her hands. "You are gorgeous, inside and out. Okay?"
"Okay." She smiled and you smiled as well. You kissed her forehead and stood up. Jack looks at you with a soft smile. You walked to the door and opened it. "Okay, goodnight." You say as you look at her tired figure. "Goodnight." You frowned and then you got an idea. "I'll bake you some cookies tomorrow, yeah?" You say as you reach for the lights.
"Yeah!" She yelled making you giggled. You look out the window seeing the frost still there, both Frost. You smirked and turned the lights off. You close the door behind you. Jack moves to the next window and looks at you. "Jack Frost, eh?" You say to yourself.

Tumblr media
Clutching the piece of paper to her chest the little girl looked up to where the stars peeped out after the rain clouds began to pass away. Spotting the brightest, shiniest star of all she bit down on her lip, large doe like eyes darting over her shoulder to check if someone was behind her or not. Finding the door to her bedroom closed she turned excitedly back to look at the sky and squeezed her eyes shut, crossing her fingers as she did.
"Please! Please! Please!" She pleaded. "Let daddy come home for Easter! I want to hunt Easter eggs with him."
Unbeknownst to the little girl a small ball of blue light emerged from her little chest. Hovering around the girl for a few seconds the light, bobbed her lightly on the nose before streaking towards the sky, leaving behind a light blue streak which hung in the air for a few seconds before disappearing.
The little girl satisfied with the wish she had made, snuggled into her bed, clutching the photograph to her chest as a stream of sand streaked into her room and an image of a man and a little girl appeared running on top of her head in golden sand as slumbered, a sweet smile on her face.
                                      ———————————–
The fourteen year old wiped his tear streaked face. It didn't clean his face and he didn't seem to care either as he shuffled along the pavement. His clothes were rumpled and slightly torn, his glasses hanging crookedly from his nose, his left eye swollen and black, lower lip cut and bleeding. He was limping slightly as he walked towards a bench and sat down. Keeping his head lowered so he wouldn't attract any attention from the people around him he wrapped his arms around his backpack, almost protectively pursing his lips as his eyes welled with tears again.
His ears echoed with the voices of what the bullies had called him. Freak. Freak. Freak. Freak. The chant was endless in his ears. He clamped down on them, whimpering as he whispered to himself. Wishing the chants would leave his mind. Leave him alone.
A small ball of yellow light wiggled out of his chest, right where his heart rested, it hovered in front of the boy for a second before darting up towards the sky.
                                      ———————————–
The young woman frowned as she observed the details of the next weather report playing across her computer screen. A piece of paper suddenly caught her attention, resting underneath her mouse pad. She tilted her head in confusion as she tugged at the paper, unfolding it and reading its contents. A smile lit up her face as her eyes scanned the page.
Biting down on her lip to keep herself from smiling even more she folded the piece of paper, tucking it safely into her bag. She glanced up to find a pair of brown eyes looking at her expectantly. A small dip of her head had the pair of eyes light up and the person to grin back at her. Turning back to her monitor screen she sighed as she glanced at the clock. She honestly wished the time would fly by quicker.
A little ball of pink and red light wiggled out of the woman's chest. It seemed to be quivering as it hovered near the woman. Flying forward the little ball hovered near the brown eyes man who had smiled at the woman, seeing him glancing at his watch as well. A small ball of pink and red light emerged from him as well. The two balls of light circled each other before streaking out of the open window.
                                      ———————————–
The room was empty except for a figure curled up on the bed. The figure was crying, every sob wracking their body. They were muttering over and over under their breath. A small ball of white light, tinged with green appeared out of nowhere and streaked past the figure and out of the room through the open window.
It flew till it reached a graveyard where it spotted a group of people gathered around a coffin as it was being lowered into the ground. Streaking forward the ball of light hovered at each corner of the coffin, turning entirely white as it did, before hovering over each person gathered around and then flew upwards.
                                      ———————————–
The little girl's nose was pressed up against the glass of the display window as she stared at the small snow globe that adorned the display table. She looked to be from a poor family. Her clothes were slightly torn and her hair was messy and framing her small figure like a black curtain. Her breath fogged the glass yet she wiped impatiently at it every time, so as to not loose sight of the pretty ball of falling snow in the glass window.
Standing a little ways away from the girl was an old woman. Slightly bent forward with age. She gave a small smile as she gripped the girl's hand in hers. The little girl smiled back before casting one last look at the snow globe and walking beside the old woman. The young man inside the store watched as the little girl walked away. He glanced at the snow globe before turning back to his newspaper. A small ball of purple light emerged from his chest, streaking past the half opened door of the shop making its ways towards the sky.
                                      ———————————–
The balls of light were slowly met with other balls of light. All in different colors and hues. All streaking from the Earth below making their way towards the brightest star shining in the sky. Suddenly they changed course. Veering slightly towards their right the balls of light flew towards a castle in the distance.
A castle resting on clouds.
The castle seemed to be made from blue marble. It stood tall and proud and yet somehow welcoming as it shone in the light of the full moon. The tallest tower, seemed to have a shining object placed on top of it. It shone and twinkled with the brilliance of a thousand diamonds and yet it was not a diamond. The castle didn't have a door or anything of the sort. Instead it had a large window where the door normally would be. The window opened up to a wide balcony. There were different shades of blues for every tower and every window ledge. The top of the towers were a deep gold as were the windows. On either side, of every window of the castle, fluttered sheer white curtains made from the purest gossamer. They fluttered every time a ball of light streaked into the room, which was almost all the time.
A ball of white light streaked forward, causing the curtains to flutter even more, with the speed it was going at.
Inside was total chaos. Colorful balls of light streaked about, making small whooshing sounds, as they maneuvered between the many marble pillars that stood about in the large room. On every side of the room were huge compartment like shelves that hosted different balls of colors. They seemed to be moving of their own accord as they settled into a specific drawer, which opened automatically when a ball of light was near.
The ceiling of the room was decked with thousands upon thousands of twinkling stars, with the middle of the ceiling shining with the most brilliant star of all. The floor was polished and the marble looked just like the clouds the castle rested on, giving one the impression that they were walking on clouds.
In the center of the room was a globe that twinkled with small white lights. The globe was made from the same blue marble as the castle and the land masses were golden in color.
Right next to the globe different little figures hovered around. They were fairies of emotions. All of them different colored and no bigger then five inches. A pair of wings fluttered on the back of each little creature, the ends pointed, the clear wings shining with intricate designs.
Their job was to identify the many emotions that came with the balls of light. They hovered around, darting from one point of the globe to the other, chattering to themselves in a language only they seemed to understand.
"Hunger! Stop giving all those treats as the child wishes!"
Well not just them.
Right beside the globe, amidst all the chaos happening around her, stood a young woman. She looked no more than eighteen or nineteen. She had a pair of glasses, perched on the tip of her nose. Her eyes were a brilliant shade of blue with specks of white in them. The whites looked like glitter in her eyes as she gazed at the fairies going about their jobs. Her hair was golden and soft as they fell to her shoulders. Her frame was small and slim, adorned with a deep blue halter dress that seemed to be made of the same material as the curtains, although it was not sheer. The dress ended at her knees, from where the straps of her greek-styled sandals started.
Her hands rested on her hips as she glared at the violet colored fairy that hovered in front of her. The fairy chattered, gesturing with her arms as she did. Blue sighed as she shook her head.
"No, Hunger. No more wishes for more candy or chocolate Easter eggs. Not more than necessary. I don't want Bunny to complain to me the next time I see him that he got one too many orders of those wishes. Or for Tooth to moan about rotten teeth." The fairy seemed to deflate before she fluttered back to her duties. Pushing her frame-less, glasses so that they were perched more firmly on her nose she turned to the other fairy hovering next to her.
"Yes, Innocence? What is it?" The fairy only smiled as she gestured to the ball of light in her hands. Eve leaned forward and smiled at the wish inside. She nodded. Innocence smiled before flying towards a small bag of white glitter. Carefully picking out one of the specks of light she threw it at the globe where it met another little light. The light seemed to shine brighter for a second before going back to the way it had been.
The young woman smiled in satisfaction as the image of a little girl played across the globe briefly, showing her running towards a man who looked to be her father.
"Job well done Innocence!" She called out to the little fairy who blushed slightly at the praise. One of the fairies rolled her eyes as she deposited a black colored speck to a light. Eve shook her head.
"Now, now Envy. There's no need to be mean." The fairy seemed to humph making the Spirit chuckle lightly. Suddenly her laughter stopped when she caught sight of a stream of lights outside.
The Northern Lights.
Her eyes widened as she moved towards the balcony, mouth slightly agape.
Something was wrong. North never used the lights unless completely necessary. A feeling of dread passed through her.
The children were in danger!
As if sensing the shift in her emotions the globe filled with lights blinked out but came back just as suddenly as they had gone.
The fairies around her paused for a moment as well. All at once they gathered around her, little faces imploring for answers. She nodded at her little assistants, trying to sooth them as much as she could.
"I'll be back soon. You guys continue with your jobs. Sense!" A gold colored fairy flew forward. The Spirit pointed at her. "You're in charge!" The fairy saluted. Walking towards the large window she continued to give orders.
"Happiness. Bring me the wishes for Bunny!" A yellow fairy flew forward holding a pouch almost as big as the fairy herself. "The rest of you keep doing whatever you were doing!" She took the pouch, tying the strings around her waist, securing it at her side.
The fairies nodded before they returned to their respective jobs, each emotion sorting through wishes. Eve however stopped Innocence, the youngest of all the fairies.
"I want you to come with me Innocence." The small fairy nodded eagerly before flying towards a small hook where a white cloak and a small pouch hung from. Eve quickly walked over to it. Wrapping the cloak around her she grabbed another small pouch from the hook, fastening it around her waist. Waving to her remaining fairies she quickly ran towards the large window jumping out. As soon as she did the wind picked her up and she was flying towards the North Pole.
                                      ———————————–
An old guard looked up in time to see a Shooting Star streak across the sky before it disappeared. He grinned as he made a little wish before returning to his radio.
                                      ———————————–
Eve flew as fast as she could towards the North Pole. She could already picture North giving her that special look he reserved for children who had been naughty. She rolled her eyes.
"Argh! Cannot believe I am late!" She grumbled under her breath, cloak flapping behind her as she rounded the last mountain and North's workshop came into view.
"Late again Eve! You are going on naughty list." She mimicked the old man, deepening her voice and shaking her head fondly. She made a mental note to ask for emergency snow globes from North.
Eve flew through the open window and into the Globe Room.
"Woah!"
Eve came to a sudden halt in mid air. Innocence collided into her. Her glasses slipped down her nose at the bump but she smiled softly at the small fairy, pushing her glasses back into its place, before turning to face the other Guardians.
Or what they were doing anyway.
Eve sighed as she landed on the control panel of the Globe, surveying the Guardians. Bunny and North were having another fight on which Holiday was the best, Christmas or Easter. Honestly she found both of them tiring since she always had to deal with all the wishes as they came in. Arranging them, categorizing them before sending them off to North and Bunny respectively.
She would never tell either of them what she thought though, out of fear that they would start lecturing her on the importance of both the holidays. Again. She had lost count after the first fifty years of all of them working together.
Tooth was busy giving instructions to her little assistants as they hovered about her, darting away every now and then to gather up a loose tooth.
None of the three seemed to notice that she had arrived except for a certain golden man.
Sandy looked at her with a brilliant smile, waving. She smiled back.
"Hi Sandy!" Glancing at the bickering Guardians and the busy fellow Fairy, she turned to him with a confused glance.
"Any idea what's going on?"
The Sandman proceeded to explain to her what had happened using pictograms formed with sand at the top of his head as he poured himself a glass of eggnog. She frowned as she listened, or rather looked, at what he had to say. Her eyes widened.
"Pitch was here!?" She asked. Sandy only shrugged before shaking his head slightly, making Eve bite down on her lip in worry. Innocence hovered next to her reaching forward and tugging at her lower lip. Eve let out a noise of surprise before loosening her lip. She smiled at the fairy.
"Thanks Innocence." The little fairy only chittered, sounding like a little bird, telling her off on biting on her lip since it was bad. Eve shot the fairy an apologetic smile.
Before she could announce her arrival to the other Guardians something caught her eye.
The Moon was moving towards the window she had entered from.
Man In The Moon had something to say.
As one she and Sandy glanced at each other, before turning to gain the attention of their fellow Guardians.
Eve pulled at North's arm trying to get his attention. "North! You gotta listen! Man In-"
"Eve! Nice to see you could join us." North greeted, patting her on the back, his voice thick with his accent. Eve smiled giving a small nod, secretly glad he hadn't told her off for being late, before getting back to the matter at hand.
"North-"
"Eve! Would you please tell Bunny that Christmas is clearly the best Holiday! I mean when is any other day that I get so many wishes from children than on Christmas."
Eve winced. Normally she would look at the two Guardians as they went back and forth with there banter, as it got rather amusing for her. But now was certainly not the time.
"Actually Nort-"
"Oh please! Sheila! Why don't you tell North here how I get the most wishes on Easter." The Easter Bunny crossed his arms over his chest, giving a smug looking, his nose twitching slightly. Eve glanced at Sandy her eyes desperate before turning back to her two fellow Guardians looking expectantly at her.
She could see Sandy trying to get the Guardian's attention by waving his arms and making pictograms with his sand but the two had already turned back to arguing, leaving Eve to turn, in desperation, towards Tooth.
"Tooth! You gotta listen to me!" But she was cut off by North who placed his hands at the side of his hips, turning towards Tooth.
"Tooth! Can't you see we are trying to argue?" He scolded, his voice soft. The fairy stopped mid instruction and turned towards North.
"Sorry." She threw up her hands slightly. "Not all of us get to work one night a year." She smiled at her fellow fairy and Sandman.
"Right you two?"
Sandy responded with an arrow above his head pointing towards the moon, but Tooth had already turned back to her tiny fairies, giving them the location of the next tooth. Eve slapped her forehead in frustration while Sandy slumped next to her as North and Bunny continued to argue.
Being just about at the end of her patience Eve prepared to yell at her fellow guardians but a loud jingling made her stop and her eyes snapped to look at Sandy, wearing a grumpy expression, had grabbed an Elf by its hat and started to wave it about back and forth. The noise finally got North's, Bunny's and Tooth's attention who turned to look at Sandy and Eve since she was standing next to him. Dropping the elf he made a pictogram of a moon pointing upwards just as Eve shot her hand out.
"Man in The Moon!" She said through gritted teeth.
North turned to where they were pointing and threw out his arms.
"Ah! Man In Moon!" He turned back to look at the two guardians.
"Sandy! Eve! Why didn't you say something?"
Eve's mouth opened to retaliate but Innocence quickly shot forward, placing her small hand on her lips, shaking her head as she did. The Fairy sighed before nodding. It wouldn't do to start another argument when the children were in danger. It wasn't very often that Man In Moon would speak to them.
North had turned back to the Moon, now shining brightly into the room.
"Its been a long time old friend. What is big news?"
Instead of taking a step forward, Eve floated forward, her arms hanging at her sides. Her white cloak covering her entire dress, brushing the floor slightly. The Moon shone even brighter, in one particular spot.
The Guardian Panel.
It was built into the floor in the shape of a star and each corner of the star had a painting on it. Each painting representing the Five Guardians. A painting of Sandy, then of North, then Bunny and Tooth respectively and on the last corner a painting of Eve.
But none of the guardians were looking at the intricately painted Panel. They were focused on the image that appeared on the panel. Or rather the shadow of a person that Man In Moon wanted to show them.
Eve's eyes widened and she shared a glance with Tooth, as Bunny straightened and voiced what every one of them were thinking.
"It is Pitch." For some reason North patted his belly, before looking up at the Moon.
"Manny! What must we do?"
Eve looked back towards the middle of the star, where a panel had sunk into the floor and opened up to reveal a diamond like stone emerging from it. It shone as bright as Eve's star on the top most tower of her castle. Her eyes widened as Manny shone his light on the stone.
"Uh! Guys! You know what this means?" Tooth asked, obviously wanting to make sure that she was thinking the same thing as the rest of the guardians. Eve shook her head, still staring at the stone, unblinking.
"No way." She whispered, floating forward slightly.
"He's chosen a new Guardian!"
Eve felt a flash of excitement go through her at North's words. They were going to get another Guardian! That never happened!
Bunny seemed to think so as well.
"What? Why?"
"Must be big deal! Manny thinks we need help." North answered, stepping forward.
A laugh of disbelief escaped Bunny who turned to North. "Since when do we need help?"
Tooth was looking at the stone in excitement. "I wonder who its gonna be!"
Sandy created the image of a four leafed clover above his head.
"Maybe the Leprechaun!" Eve shrugged at Tooth's suggestion.
"Maybe its The Spirit of Halloween." She crossed her arms across her chest, the light of the moon reflecting off her glasses, making it hard to see whether she was joking or not. Beside her Bunny had his paws clasped together as he prayed under her breath.
"Please not the Groundhog! Please not the Groundhog!"
All five guardians looked to the stone as an image appeared. Eve glanced at Sandy who grinned back at her in excitement. She smiled back. North was almost bouncing on his toes as he looked at the image forming on top of the stone.
The image solidified and Eve felt her eyes widen at the new Guardian.
"Jack Frost!" North announced, his voice low and filled with surprise. One of Tooth's fairies had a little fangirl moment as the little thing fainted. Innocence hovered up to the image peering at it, in simple curiosity.
"Er...I take it back the Groundhogs fine!"
Eve rolled her eyes at Bunny, chuckling lightly, as she caught sight of Tooth with a dreamy expression on her face. Since she was standing next to her, Eve cleared her throat to get her attention. Tooth glanced at her before straightening herself a sheepish look on her face.
"Well as long as he helps to... uh to...protect the children. Right?" She gave her input as well, making Eve giggle and for Tooth to shoot a playful glare in her direction.
"Jack Frost!"
Bunny was freaking out now.
He really needed to let that one blizzard go. Eve shook her head.
"Lighten up Bunny!" She called out to the almost hyperventilating Guardian. He seemed to not hear her as he went on with his rant.
"He doesn't care about children! And all he does is freeze water pipes and mess up my Egg Hunts! He's an irresponsible, selfish-
"Guardian!" North cut him off, smiling.
But Bunny was having none of that.
"Jack Frost is many thing but he is not a Guardian!"
He was suddenly hit in the face with a ball of blue light which exploded in a small shower of blue glitter and a piece of cloth was stuffed into his mouth. North's loud and big belly laugh drowned his muffled protests. Eve narrowed her eyes at him, her hand already inside her pouch to take out another little Wishing Dust.
"Will you quit being so dramatic?"
Shaking his head at the now struggling Bunny, North turned to Eve.
"Eve. I suppose it is time you step up." The blonde girl nodded, smiling as she reached into a pocket sewn in her cloak and pulled out a piece of paper. Her little fairy hovered next to her as she readjusted her glasses and looked at the piece of paper. Well it wasn't much of a piece since it had grown in size as she unfolded it. Sparkling eyes roamed around the map, taking note of the tiny symbols that were scattered all over the surface. Spotting a snowflake making its way across the globe she smiled and looked up.
"He's moving around now. But as soon as he settles I'll let you know."
North nodded.
"Good! Good! Well now while we wait, would anyone like fruit cake?" He offered just as Bunny managed to pull the cloth from his mouth.
Eve glanced back at her map, a small smile pulling at the corner of her lips.
It’d been awhile since she’d seen Jack. She’d missed him.
