...I wanna read chaotic Shaun interacting with Desmond's ancestors. Don't need to be time-travel (forward or backward) au or anything big. Just, like, can you imagine Shaun designs weird training courses to test Desmond while he's Bleeding? (And have Ezio flirt with him or Altair criticize the weak points of the plan lol).

(Just want to share my thought, but if you wanna take that as a request... 👀💦)

Here's a small fic of Shaun being chaotic and getting more chaos XD

Test Subject 1

“If you could be any animal, what animal would you be?” Shaun asked as he stared at the stoic expression currently decorating Desmond’s face.

Golden eyes stared at him silently as Shaun tapped his tablet and a mechanical woman’s voice spoke, “إذا كنت تستطيع أن تكون أي حيوان ، فأي حيوان ستكون؟”

At the sight of furrowed brows and the slight downward shape of his lips, Shaun sighed, “It’s the best we have at the moment.”

Shaun tapped at this tablet once more and had the mechanical woman’s voice say, “إنه أفضل ما لدينا في الوقت الحالي.”

Scarred lips finally opened and Shaun readied the tablet to record and translate…

“More than seven centuries have passed yet all you have to show in terms of communication is that.” Altaïr dryly stated in perfect English as he looked at the tablet in disappointment.

Shaun simply grew more interested as he asked, “You can understand and speak our version of English. Does that mean you have access to Desmond’s memories?”

Altaïr slowly raised his head to stare at Shaun quietly for a moment before deadpanning, “No hablo ingles.”

Shaun narrowed his eyes as he asked, “Is that supposed to be a joke?”

“I’m not as boring as many believe I am.” Altaïr stated before leaning forward, “But more importantly…”

Altaïr quickly tapped Shaun’s tablet before Shaun could pull it away, successfully stopping the recording and deleting the file.

“Wha-! Why?!” Shaun looked at his tablet, his eyes widening as he heard Altaïr say.

“You now do not have any evidence that I can make a pathetic joke.” Altaïr leaned close as he whispered, “You will have to live with your life knowing you know something about me that no one will ever believe.”

Altaïr leaned back as he continued, “And that will haunt you for the rest of your life.”

Shaun stared at Altaïr with wide eyes as he whispered, “You’re a monster.”

“I don’t like being told to go away.” Altaïr retorted before closing his eyes.

A moment later, light brown eyes opened to stare at him and Desmond blinked.

“Desmond, Altaïr-”

Desmond’s lips curved into a cheeky grin and he began to walk away as he said mimicking Shaun’s accent, “Hello, Desmond. Go away.”

All Shaun could do was stare at Desmond with an open mouth.

Test Subject 2

“And you want me to paint whatever I wish?” The Italian accent was clear to Shaun’s ears and he nodded.

“Yes, anything you like,” Shaun said as he handed the stylus to his current subject.

Ezio began to use the stylus on the tablet as he said, “You do understand I am more familiar with… shall we say, traditional art?”

“But I’ve got Desmond drawing on that same tablet for the past week.” Shaun explained, “To familiarize himself with the drawing app I downloaded.”

“And how were Desmond’s drawings?” Ezio asked curiously as he continued to draw.

“Awful.” Shaun stated bluntly before continuing, “But the main point is for him to know how to use the app. And now, you’re using it for the first time.”

“Do you just instinctively feel like you know what to do? Where you can get the tools you need?” Shaun asked curiously.

“Altaïr did say you were checking if the Bleeding Effect affects us as well,” Ezio commented with a nod. Ezio stopped drawing and smirked, “Here. For you, il mio bellissimo.”

Shaun took the tablet and looked at what Ezio had drawn, expecting to see a rough sketch similar to the paintings he had done for his targets back in Monteriggioni.

Shaun sputtered and raised his head to stare as Desmond grinned at him.

“I’m getting better, right?” Desmond teased.

Test Subject 3

“You look… dejected.” A polite tone asked and Shaun sighed.

“Hello, Connor.” Shaun paused before adding, “Or Desmond pretending to be Connor. Whoever you’re supposed to be.”

“Would you like to know a secret?” The man in front of him asked as he moved one of his pawns to E4. Shaun countered by moving his black pawn to F6 to bait him.

“And what secret would that be?” Shaun asked as his opponent moved another pawn to D4 which Shaun countered by moving another pawn to G5.

Shaun froze when his opponent placed the white queen on H5 as he stated, “Checkmate.”

“Tha-that’s…” Shaun spluttered as he raised his head to stare at the man in front of him, “That’s the Fool’s Mate! How do you know-”

The man raised his phone and showed a webpage that says ‘10 fastest checkmates’.

“That’s cheating!” Shaun exclaimed.

“I’ve been told to play smart.” The man said before using his white queen to tip Shaun’s black king.

“I was distracted,” Shaun grumbled, glaring at the chessboard.

“And we do not like being experimented on.” Connor answered before adding, “And Shaun?”

“Hm?” Shaun raised his head to stare at Connor.

“No hablo ingles.”

“Oh, piss off, you wankers!”

t-t-t-tbh i have many many ideas. somehow in my head i half think about my chars as though they're some other piece of media and i'm actively thinking up random fic ideas for them sometimes LOL some of which are actually within the normal canon timeline and that i can potentially use for something, and others that have nothing to do with the canon timeline (or even go against it LKDAJFD) but i don't care, i just enjoy thinking up various scenarios for them because i love them so much sigh...

those four in question were some that were quite visceral in my mind at the time, tho i have many more. i don't mind explaining them tho except that i am very shy

probably my favorite is the one on the bottom left and one i've imagined in many different ways because i'm a sucker for hurt comfort and involves some variation of the two of them out hiking in the snow, whereupon a blizzard hits and they have to seek shelter in this small shed they find, but it's very very cold and iggy starts to get hypothermia so genzou zips him up inside his coat with him to try and keep him warm until the morning... (I'M SO EMBARRASSED WRITING THIS LDKFJALSKDFA) (IT'S VERY SELF-INDULGENT AND SILLY) (I JUST THINK IT WOULD BE SO CUTE... SOB)

the middle one was a kinda different take on what could have happened when iggy was visiting home from college and over at genzou's, involving iggy having a hard time fitting in at college and with some weird semi-relationships that left him feeling hurt and questioning himself and he lets it all out to genzou and starts crying and genzou kisses him LMAOOOOOO (the laugh here being because i'm so embarrassed i'm actively laughing at myself and how ridiculously sappy and cringy these must sound AHHHHHHHH 💦💦💦💦)

the phone one is where iggy calls genzou in the middle of the night because he's feeling so anxious and genzou talks to him until he falls asleep... (LOL THIS IDEA DID ACTUALLY TURN INTO SOMETHING i loved it so much i did a genzou-POV take on it for T2A2G... weep)

and the one on the right was less of a super specific idea and more just me enjoying the thought of them living together and iggy trying to play his switch while genzou bothers him kjkajdfad

i have so many different fic ideas for them sob... i think about them always 💕

Wish I had some more content for you guys since the AU is actually really short and simple 👁👁)💦 It's more slice of life compared to my more story oriented AUs, mostly focused on how perceptions shift and how daily life changes when important information comes to light.

If I can, I'd love to get some short/episodic comics out for you guys, like something about the trip to Sinnoh or the hunt for Garchomp. This AU is mostly just a bunch of small moments bundled into a larger collection, so it's probably better suited for shorter posts/sketches.

I decided to sit down and sketch out all my WoLs (not including like, six other joke characters that I have) and I have come to the conclusion that someone should take the character creator away from me.

I got too many lil guys 😵‍

From left to right...

J'rhota Tia is just a silly orange lad - PGL/ROG main, a scrappy little fight boy. Means well, but very head empty. Constantly getting locked out of the Waking Sands, but unfortunately is the only one who can take down Ifrit without getting tempered.

Amelot Greywoode Lost an eye on one of her adventures - couldn't afford a glass eye to match her good eye at the time, so the one she wears under her eyepatch is slightly off colour. (Highlander, GLD)

Parasha Pasha - Tiniest gorl. Min height lala. My god, she's so small. 🥺💕 Ostensibly mains WAR/DRG, but really is a FSH main.

Sami'ra (Sameth/Bunny) Lavellan - ARC/ROG main, previously a Dragon Age Inquisitor. Yearns to keep the stories of his people as a historian, but in the harsh economic times post-calamity, adventuring better pays the bills and provides for his large extended family. Per his name, he is the youngest son in a Keeper family with an oddly large number of sons. Truth be told, not all are family by blood, though are loved just as well. Sam has quite the crush on a certain Lord Commander.

Cessalie Sombreterre was an orphan of Ishgardian birth, and made her way to Ul'dah at a young age to try and make her way in the world, eventually taking up adventuring. Ostensibly a BLM main, though dabbles in roguery and swordplay. Min height elezen. Amongst her people, she's so leetle 🥺💕 Marries into the Fortemps house.

Hazel Rah is my main lad, first boy I ever made. He was born in the Golmore Jungle. Though he misses his childhood home dearly, he was forever restless, and eventually left - spending some time in Dalamasca and other occupied territories, before travelling to Eorzea in the wake of the calamity. Young for a travelling viera, he's about 70ish years old. Before he came to Eorzea, his forest name was Rjel Fith. He loves to garden.

Clover Frith is Hazel's much older sister - she's around 200, though she's not one to keep count. She left the forest when Hazel was quite young, in his 20s or thereabouts. When they met up again decades later, she was taking work as a gleaner in Sharlayan. Though her forest name is long left behind, her last name was Fith.

Blackavar Rehw-Dvre was Hazel's childhood sweetheart. In my headcanons, he does not leave the forest at all until well after the calamity - the general upheaval and unrest making its way even unto the forest, prompting the Rava people to make the choice to send scouts far from home to investigate. As such, though he is confident in the ways of his home, he is very out of place in the wider world and is often mystified by the ways of outsiders. As far as appearances go, Blackavar actually has quite curly hair - so I imagine his hair is more like the catboy hair both J'rhota and Sam have. Alas, there's no perfect bun options 😞

Holly Huorlwesfv is a veena bunny who I created as a retainer and went "aw fuck, I did it again," and had to turn him into a real boy because I liked him so much. He doesn't yet have a lot of a backstory yet, but I named him after Captain Holly from Watership Downs, and so in my mind he looks quite a bit scrappier than he is. Ears are scratched up and tattered. A few more scars. He's a stoic bun, a former guard most like. Definitely a fighter. PLD main iirc.

Bitter Snow is my beautiful, purple, goth Roe. I did not mean to give her the same name as Yellow Moon's paramour, it happened completely accidentally. 👀💦 She's so pretty, I ought to play her more. Pretty sure she's a DRG main, I cannot recall.

hey what brush do you use to draw in digital and traditional (if that doesn't bother you!💦)

No worries! I don't mind. :3 The answer isn't so interesting though ww

I just use the pencil tool in MS Paint & the binary tool in SAI 2. Default settings. Most of my art is done this way. I often sketch in MS Paint, and complete in SAI.

(a few examples)

I find it's easier to work within the simplicity of MS Paint, but I do like SAI's features, and sometimes I need the flexibility of pressure sensitivity to really chip away at my thoughts... I find myself relying on it more recently, as I got into JSHK. Human characters aren't actually my forte, and it takes many passes for me to get something legible... Trying to mimic Aida-sensei's ability to render clothes is also breakin' my back lol.

Oh um ... Hm, I draw in my phone notes more often recently as well, so that's the only other variable at times. If you see something like this:

It's just me using the notes app on my samsung galaxy. I use it to jot down ideas for future me. Or... sometimes I'm just passing time. Nothing special about it, I would say, aside from the fact that it's more robust than the previous phone notes app I would draw on. I was fingerpainting back then, but now I have a stylus.

Edit: Wait I feel like an idiot for saying all this and literally posting a piece I made in CSP... SORRY!! My brain is small. That's what I use to animate as well!! !!! Sorry, I just use it once in a blue moon...

On CSP, the brush I like the most has been this one.

As for traditional, I use an assortment of things! It's a split between mundane art supplies (dollar store mechanical pencils, ball point pens, etc.) and some fancier stuff I've been gifted. Currently I have a set of prismas and a couple of ohuhus I use for commission work often. I also have some faber castell brush pens. I prefer inking pens with a flat tip, basically I disprefer fine points/microns etc. (I... um, have a bit of a harsh grip, so I'm prone to crushing them...) My traditional stuff varies a lot more so I'll just paste examples directly. For fun!

Overall, I like having an assortment of things to grab and mess around with, for different moods. I'll draw on any scrap of paper also (to the burden of my wife, who scans and edits ALL!!!! of my art, lol.) If you're at all seeking for a similar experience, I recommend playing with whatever odds and ends you got in your possession. It's not really a matter of skill... imo, cuz, I don't really feel as though I use anything very 'well', I just use it. Perhaps all equally sloppy, and for fun. Just have fun. ╮(╯▽╰)╭

Hasegawa Family

Hasegawa family consisted of three members, Oliver, the father, from Canada, Nanako, the mother, from Japan, and Langa, their son, who all three together lived in Canada. When Oliver died, Nanako and Langa moved to Okinawa, Japan, Nanako's hometown. They're currently caring for a dog that Langa and Reki found and fed, whom they named Buddy, as he was very friendly. Buddy followed Langa to the apartment, Nanako let him stay for one night and he eventually stayed with them until today.

Many of the characters are constantly changing, such as hair, eyes, facial features, to make them look more like the canon, but keeping our way of making sims, so the appearance may vary a little over time.

Names marked with * are unofficial characters. Characters marked with ✩ are the most common ones to appear in our stories.

Langa is the son of Nanako and Oliver. He came to Okinawa with his mother from Canada after his father passed away. He had been very attached to both of them as they were a very close family, spending many days snowboarding together, since he was very young, until his father died. He tried to go back to snowboarding, but without him by his side, alone, it was practically impossible to feel the same passion as before.

Once in Okinawa, he met many people, starting with Reki, a guy who is a classmate from the same school, to whom one day his skateboard went down the street, finding him Langa and becoming interested in the sport and Reki.

Since he was a child he has been playing sports encouraged by his father and mother, he started practicing snowboarding with his father, he's very good at many sports if not all of them, but in spite of that, the one he has the most fun and practices the most is skateboarding, because in a way it is similar to snowboarding but without snow and being able to practice it freely and infinitely in a lot of different terrains.

He's a genius in studies and also when it comes to snowboarding and skateboarding, but in Japanese calligraphy and language still has a lot of room for improvement. In spite of that in English he's a fast reader and is able to read many books. Sometimes he seems very innocent but it's just the way he is, since he was a child has only been interested in snowboarding and nowadays in skateboarding, so can be lost in those things he doesn't understand or he's not that interested in (this can also be applied to hamburgers and his poutine or food in general).

He's an independent guy, whenever he stays home alone knows how to handle the household chores. As for music, he likes and listens to Hip Hop, some songs he tries to sing, although feels a little embarrassed at the thought of doing it in front of other people. He doesn't really like DJ music, which sometimes makes him have small deep conversations with Reki, when he talks about those styles, since Reki likes them, but they soon pass when start talking about skateboarding.

Among the activities he likes to practice are singing and dancing, he says that one day wants to do like ADAM and dance on his skateboard, but he hasn't mastered dancing very well yet. He likes to look for flowers and climb, activities that he has long since abandoned, since they were two things he used to do with his father and mother.

His favorite colors are red, blue and yellow.

Oliver's widowed wife and Langa's mother. After death of her husband Oliver, she was worried about their son's mental and physical health. From that day on, she was afraid that he wouldn't make it and would remain in sadness, even though he always told her that everything was fine. She saw that it was not so, since Langa had no friends and always went out alone, so when some time passed, she thought that a change of place would be good for both of them and so they packed their bags and traveled to Okinawa, Japan, the land where she was born and grew up. There Langa met a guy, Reki, and she realized that her son was once again lively and happy.

Nanako is a nurse and like almost all nurses she always has a smile and positive, cheerful words for her patients and their families. She's very familiar, so much so that even if Oliver is not present with them, she always asks him for advice on almost every new decision she makes in life or that has to do with their son.

She doesn't like blues music very much, every time listens to it changes the music station. Lately she has become very fond of playing video games, especially with her son. Her least favorite color is blue… poor son of hers. As for decorations, the basic one is the one likes the most and therefore the apartment where they live is full of furniture of that style.

Husband of Nanako, and father of Langa, the three of them lived together in Canada. He was an expert snowboarder. He taught Langa from a very young age and they would go snowboarding as a family. As the years passed he died and Nanako and Langa left Canada behind and moved to Okinawa. He was a very optimistic, patient and family oriented person.

Buddy is a dog that Reki and Langa found in the street, inside a small box. They fed him and named Buddy, as he was always looking to be pampered by both of them, he barked in response to their questions and got on Langa and Reki's skateboard to skate. That day when they both skateboarded back to their own homes, Buddy stealthily followed Langa to his apartment. Nanako, seeing the situation, let Buddy stay alone for the night and promised Langa to find another place for him to stay. The next day Langa and Reki talked to each other, they tried to convince Reki's mother, but she flatly refused, as there were already too many members in the Kyan family and for the moment it would be impossible for them to have a pet. Then they tried to talk to Oka, and he told them that Sketchy would not accept anyone else in DOPE SKETCH, since he was the owner of that territory. Besides not getting along very well when they brought Buddy to the place. They searched and searched for different options, and at the end they both went to the landlord of the apartments where Langa and Nanako lived to beg him to let Buddy stay with them for a while until they could finally find him a place. To this day he still lives with the Hasegawa family.

saw this post that some peeple didn't know that wkx is the valley master in woh although his face was shown early, and someone thought that maybe it's an evil twin situation lmao. So I had an idea to write a short thing with two wkx's, the evil valley master and the wkx we know, ofc both into zzs and fighting over him while zzs is ?? Kind of like the bingge vs bingmei extra in svsss lmao

11. tyk - reincarnation au

my fic that i have Big Plans for but somehow got blocked and it's on hold for now. It's an au where wenzhou die and enter reincarnation cycle but keep missing each other (or meet, but too late) due to different reasons, until we arrive in modern times and I finally let them meet properly and fall in love and uncover their past 👀 the main story happens in modern times but there are flashbacks to the past. I also had ideas for extras with their other reincarnations, so I could have fun with fem!wenzhou or enby!wkx x transmasc!zzs or some tragedies like mafia wenzhou that killed each other or they missed their ages completely and grandpa wkx dies just after meeting a kid zzs after searching for him half his life :')

I started writing it inspired by art, so each chapter has art attached (with permission) <3 it's also a mishmash of tropes because it was just a fun project where I kept throwing ideas and writing whatever came to my mind. Some chapters are posted on ao3 here, some more content is here under tag #tyk reincarnation au. I think I got stumped at the point where I need to sit down and actually plan some things instead of writing whatever, and wanted to discuss with someone but didn't want to push myself onto others, so here I am xd

so uh 💦 it's um. an explicit fic 😳 where. what if wenzhou actually recreated the stick-porn that zzs drew for the scorpion king lmao

i remembered that i posted some first bits here and here, it's just a comedic slice of life with chengling who needs to bear with wenzhou's bickering. Later parts would go into the hot territory

have a snippet:

Wen Kexing was silent. More like, had been silent for a long time already, while usually his nagging voice seemed to never shut up for more than 5 minutes.

Zhou Zishu’s eyes narrowed, and he turned his head slightly to the side to evaluate the situation. Wen Kexing seemed completely lost in thoughts, his eyes looking straight ahead with a distant look to them. The only movement was his hand which repeatedly rose with Zhou Zishu’s silky hair being run through his fingers until the strands slipped and fell softly onto his lap. Almost without stopping, the hand reached down again to grab a handful of hair and twirl it between the fingers as the slow combing ascend began all over again.

Could he have fallen back into bad memories or unnecessary thoughts all on his own after being left alone for a mere hour or so? Zhou Zishu sighed and decided to magnanimously pull him out from them.

“Lao-“

“Do you ever think about that porn you drew for the Scorpion King?”

Zhou Zishu’s concern died on the spot, and he closed the book with a loud bang.

“No.”

Raven Crowley Union Birthday Interview

asdbaoysdvbqbwda I don’t like the look of the Union Birthday suits, so I didn’t end up having a formal art piece done for this year 💦 but here’s some sketches and how Raven would respond to the interview questions!!

Raven: I wonder who the Magical Birthday Dice have chosen to interview me?

Kon: …

Raven: Whoever it is, they’re running awfully late. They should be here by now.

Kon: …

Raven: … I wonder, did they get lost on their way to the birthday venue?

Kon: U-Um!! Excuse me, but… I’ve been standing here all along…

Raven: Hm? Ah, Kon-san. My apologies for not noticing you until now. My mind was elsewhere. Please, feel free to join in the birthday festivities. Even mob students deserve days off, yes?

Kon: Eh, join the party?! B-But I have a job to do first…

Raven: Job? If I recall correctly, you work as a part-time as waiter and bus boy at the Mostro Lounge. I didn’t realize that you were sent to assist with the catering today.

Kon: Th-That’s because I wasn’t… I-I’m supposed to interview you.

Raven: Oh! So you’re my fated interviewer! How very curious. I hadn’t anticipated it to be someone from the same class as me. It’s funny how these things work out.

Kon: I wasn’t expecting it either… (Why do I always, ALWAYS have the worst luck…? The dorm leader was so scary when I told him I needed to take the day off to do this interview… He was smiling, but his eyes weren’t!! Then he penciled me in for a Saturday lunch rush shift to make up for lost time… I-I didn’t ask to be put in a high pressure, high stress situation like this!!) I hope you aren’t disappointed with me.

Raven: Not at all. It’s a pleasant surprise to see a friendly face.

Kon: Surprise… Oh! That’s right! B-Before the interview, here. Your present…

Raven: ………………………. Is this an inflatable tube?

Kon: Yes! I tried to pick one with a cute design and colors that reminded me of you. See? It kind of looks like a dark color, but when the light hits it, it turns iridescent.

Raven: ………………………….

Kon: Um… Do you… not like it?

Raven: … It’s not that. Please do not characterize me as dissatisfied or ungrateful. I was just thinking that this was a rather unique item to gift to a creature of the sky.

Kon: I um… actually had trouble picking out your present at first. I thought the obvious thing would have been writing materials, but you already have plenty of those. A-And any ink materials would have lost their freshness by now. Then I… er, heard from Jade-senpai that you couldn’t swim.

Raven: YOU WHAT.

Kon: I-I’m sorry…! He just… He happened to lean over and whisper it to me as I was clearing a table. I was so surprised that I almost dropped the plates!!

Raven: H-Hey! Is it really so uncommon to not be able to swim?

Kon: For me, yes! I come from a small town by a beach, so most kids already knew how to swim by the time they were school age. The ones that are too young would use inner tubes and floaties to help them keep afloat. I thought this would help you too… at least until you’re ready to learn how to swim by yourself.

Raven: You’re likening me to a child yet to learn a basic survival skill… Well, it’s true that I’ve been meaning to learn how to swim at some point. Water is so fascinating in how it glistens and shifts, but whenever I get near large bodies of it, I feel so queasy it’s difficult to enjoy it.

Raven: If I had the courage to swim... Oh, how the world could open up to me!

Raven: I don’t intend to get near large bodies of water anytime soon, but I do understand why swimming can mean the difference between life and death. Thank you, Kon-san. This will help me feel just a little bit safer.

Raven: Oh, but one thing.

Kon: Y-Yes?

Raven: … Tell your vice dorm leader to stop casually dropping my details!!

Kon: That’s one birthday wish I can’t grant!!

Kon: Let’s start the interview. First question… “Who would you pick to be with you on a deserted island?”

Raven: I’m not in need of any assistance.

Kon: … Huh?

Raven: I may not look it now, but I’ve lived in the wilderness for most of my life. Surviving on a deserted island is nothing. I’ll simply need to revert back to a more… feral way of sustaining myself.

Kon: (Eeeeeh? The prim and proper Miss Raven… an ex-wild child?! I can’t imagine her in an animal pelt and messy hair, running around picking berries and eating bugs in the wild…)

Raven: … Why are you staring at me like that? That’s quite rude of you.

Kon: S-Sorry!

Kon: Uh… can you try to think of someone? Please?

Raven: Ah, of course. Hmm, let’s see…

Raven: Octavinelle are immediate nos. They would be the easiest picks for escaping from the island, but… Floyd is absolutely unpredictable, he could be a help 50% of the time and a hindrance the other half. Azul would demand for compensation… and furthermore, I don’t believe Azul’s merform would be particularly adept at swimming.

Raven: As for Jade, I don’t think I can stand being left alone with him for extended periods of time. That man makes my blood boil. (I think I’d just die of embarrassment, having to survive in such an intimate setting with him... I-It’d almost be like we were... l-living together under the same roof and sharing the responsibilities, like some m-married couple! How positively absurd!!)

Raven: I’d want someone I can rely on and trust to do their fair share of work, someone who’s able to pull their own weight. I don’t want to be stranded with a deadbeat or an uncooperative partner. I already put up with enough of Ace in homeroom… and don’t get me started with Leona-senpai!! That would just create unnecessary work for myself.

Kon: (Eep! So quick to tell others off!)

Raven: If I had to pick, I think my best bet would be Rook or Ruggie.

Kon: Oh, those are smart choices! I’ve heard that Rook-senpai and Ruggie-senpai are very familiar with the outdoors.

Raven: While it is true that they have notable survival skills, that is only a part of why I’ve selected them.

Raven: Just as important as surviving is… making for good company!! So I don’t perish of loneliness and boredom!!

Kon: HUUUUUUUH??

Raven: Staying upbeat in a bleak situation does wonders for morale. So does having company.

Raven: Rook is very unconventional. I feel that he can make light of any situation and keep me smiling no matter what may come our way. He also has the physical strength and hunting abilities that I will admit that I lack. If we were to team up, he could cover for my deficits.

Raven: Meanwhile, Ruggie is not very strong, but he is resourceful and has survival first and foremost on his mind. With our combined intellects, I don’t think the deserted island could ever trump us. Ah, and he is always smiling, even in the worst of situations. That’s something I find admirable, even if he can stoop to being a scoundrel at times…

Kon: I see… (Who’d have thought that Miss Raven can not only ‘rough it’, but that’d she also be the type to put mood just as high up as her own survival?!)

Kon: Next question. “Who would you want as your brother?” It doesn’t specify older or younger.

Raven: Hmm, an interesting question. I’ve never thought about having a sibling. Older or younger… I’d like to experience both, as I’ve never had a sibling of my own. I’m sure both offer their own unique challenges.

Kon: I-I guess there’s no rule saying you have to pick just one?

Raven: In that case… I would want Ortho as my younger brother and Silver as my older one.

Kon: A robot and a knight picked by a storytelling raven. Those are some pretty outlandish choices. It’s like something straight out of a fairy tale.

Raven: You could say that I feel a certain kinship to them.

Raven: Ortho and I… we don’t “belong” in this student body. We’re still so small and naive, with much to learn about the world. That pure, unadulterated admiration he has for Idia… 

Raven: It… (reminds me a little of myself, how I was before.) It’s cute. I want to protect him and to help nurture him so that he doesn’t stray from the path (… Unlike me).

Raven: We are not a part of this world, yet we’ve had to navigate it. It feels like we learn and grow every day together, and protect one another in turn.

Kon: … (Miss Raven has a soft spot for small, cute things.)

Kon: And what about Silver?

Raven: Silver is just like a prince from the story books. Stoic, serious, and with a strong moral compass. He’s a great source of inspiration. I feel like a fly on the wall—or rather, a bird on the branch—observing his heroic deeds.

Raven: He also seems reliable, doesn’t he? All the forest critters often talk about how kind he is.

Kon: I-I’m sorry, I’m not that familiar with animal languages...

Raven: Oh, my bad. It was presumptuous of me to assume.

Raven: In any case, Silver is beloved by the local wildlife. You won’t find a bird in the area that will speak ill of him. Just being in Silver’s presence calms me and makes me feel safe and comfortable.

Kon: Does he just have that kind of a natural effect on animals…?

Raven: He must!!

Raven: So warm and fuzzy... and relaxing... *Yawn*

Kon: Y-You sound like you’re describing falling asleep!! Silver-senpai’s aura is rubbing off on you a little TOO much!!

Kon: Last question! “If you could be in any dorm, which would you choose?”

Raven: Every dorm has its unique charms… but I’m immediately knocking Octavinelle, Savannaclaw, Scarabia, and Ignihyde off the list.

Kon: That’s surprising. You’re always getting high marks in our classes, so I’m shocked to know that you wouldn’t want to join one of the dorms that excels academically.

Kon: And with your experience in the wilderness, I thought Savanaclaw would be a viable pick. But then again, you’re also a recluse, which suits Ignihyde…

Raven: This is about what I would personally pick, isn’t it? Not where I would be assigned based on my objective behavior and traits.

Kon: Y-You’re right about that, I guess...

Raven: Truthfully, I would like to experience every dorm as a member of it once in my time at NRC. Trying on their uniform, seeing what the day-to-day life is like, engaging with my peers… It sounds like good fun!

Kon: Eh, “fun”? (It just sounds super stressful to me!! I can barely manage in my current dorm, let alone 6 others!)

Raven: But I must consider my nature first and foremost.

Raven: I eliminated some dorms right off the bat because of the environments they offer. Savanaclaw and Scarabia are too hot—they would cause my feathers to molt. Octavinelle is underwater—which is no place for a creature of the skies. And then Ignihyde is… too far removed from nature for my comfort. That leaves just 3 dorms.

Kon: Heartslabyul, Pomefiore, or Diasomnia… C-Come to think of it, I think the Great Seven members of those dorms were also known to have a black bird companion with them. What a coincidence!

Kon: Ahahah... I think their spirits were calling out to you.

Raven: That is true. There is something to be said about powerful women with black birds.

Raven: Each of those dorms has something special to offer.

Raven: Heartslabyul, its whimsical garden for playful tea times and bound by a certain strictness. Pomefiore, its elegant decor and rigorous pursuit of self-improvement.

Raven: And then Diasomnia, boasting of secrets buried in bramble and ominous powers.

Raven: Diasomnia sounds most favorable.

Kon: Wh-What?! That’s easily the scariest sounding dorm!!

Raven: Be that as it may, this choice would allow me the most freedom. I fear I may accidentally invoke Riddle or Vil’s wrath if I accidentally trip up or step out of line. I wouldn’t want to live walking on eggshells every waking moment of the day.

Raven: Diasomnia’s dorm building itself and its many archaic resources would also make for interesting inspirations for my writing and personal research. (The curse...) Perhaps if I am fortunate, I may be granted an audience with the great Malleus-senpai and the wise Lilia-senpai. They might just have the answers that I need.

Kon: Research? Answers? What is it that you’re looking for exactly...?

Raven: Erm, it’s nothing you need to concern yourself with.

Kon: Ah, that’s the end of the interview. It’s time for the Gift of Good Fortune. A-Are you ready to receive it?

Raven: Oogh… You speak of the pieing, yes? I’m not looking forward to washing the whipped cream out of my feathers…

Kon: I-I’m sorry, but it’s a tradition… I’ll try to be gentle to make it easier on you!

Raven: No, please do not apologize. I have steeled myself for this all day. This is the apex…! The climax of the story! I will accept it honorably, Kon-san.

Kon: O-Okay…! Happy birthday, Raven-san!
