Watanuki has resolved to make her eat it anyway.
>:) Lovely.
Though I find it fascinating the way this problem has played out. The customer presented a problem and even though Watanuki had hints from Yuuko it didn’t make any sense to him until he discussed it with Doumeki. And then they figured it out together.
It feels like it’s signalling that Yuuko doesn’t have much guidance left for Watanuki - or at the very least, he’s finding his own way of figuring out problems in a way that makes more sense to him.
Which is good in the way that Yuuko was always limited in the kind of help she could give, because outright giving any answers would always come with a cost that she didn’t want Watanuki to pay. But we’ve entered the zone where Watanuki doesn’t need to rely on her hints as much and will figure things out naturally using his own methods.
So that's good! But on the other hand I would like to keep Yuuko forever.
Tumblr media
I want it officially noted that this conversation between Watanuki and Doumeki lasted for ELEVEN PAGES before there was even a hint of faux outrage!
Eleven pages of solid conversation before Watanuki remembered that he pretends to hate Doumeki!
This is very fun knowledge for all people who are me.
Tumblr media
Conspiracy!
We love Mokona’s foresight and subtle manipulations to get more snacks. (And to get Watanuki to talk to Doumeki)
But even more than that we love Doumeki’s open concern for Watanuki’s wellbeing and double checking whether he can safely be here!
Tumblr media
OOPS nope I misinterpreted that, it wasn’t that at all. It was Doumeki double checking to see if this was the best course of action as far as the mystery was involved. He wonders whether Yuuko could have given him better help.
But I have preemptively talked all the way through that idea so I’m glad I picked up on that undercurrent correctly!

damn are people on twt really gonna get mad at people for playing on the server rn?
is that where we're putting our energy?
like aypierre was one of the french ccs that spoke up, and he's playing today, and said that changes are being made, isn't that enough to trust?
like when was a boycott agreed on among ccs? never? okay yeah so whats the issue
People like to be angry about anything if it’s Twitter. Nothing will ever be enough and they would rather virtue signal then appreciate the changes made already. Such is the culture that is Twitter

stands as embodiments of cool shonen abilities are great and all and i generally really like the various powers and designs they all have but i think where they really shine are in the idea of your soul manifested as your companion and partner (barely explored in canon, really fun when it does come up ie with stands like spice girl and sort of whitesnake) and in the body horror department (done so so well in parts, even if characters never really respond as if they understand how horrifying the abilities are - in the forms of things like tusk, doggy style, whitesnake AGAIN bc he's really the best villain stand ever except for the even more horrifying and perfect wonder of u) and i just realised i don't have somewhere i'm going with this i'm just sick and i opened new post.
actually i think i was just going to say both of these being great potentials of stands and also being underutilised as things actually explored by the narrative means that they're so fun to write and think about. like basically any character's understanding and experience of having a stand is so interesting...does anyone take care of their stand...do they see them as extensions of themselves or separate things...is anyone uncomfortable with how visible their appearances and ability make their secret desires and insecurities...

truthfully cannot wait to see what absurd nonsense the dragon age fandom decides to eat itself alive from the inside over once DAV comes out
i'm only 12% sarcastic right now, unhinged discourse is a long established fandom tradition at this point and i will be deeply disappointed if this game doesn't deliver more of the same

i get that megan is missing is a "horror movie warning about talking to strangers online" but the SA was just disgusting and too much.
I defend anyone's right to make any weird disgusting art of their choosing. There can be all sorts of fucked up art, made for all sorts of reasons. That's one of the many functions of art, and a main function of horror, to work through disgusting gross feelings we may have in a space where it hurts no one. But Megan is Missing is one of those where I go "oh yeah this feels bad and not in a good way". There is a Good Bad feeling you can get when something is fucked up but cathartic. You want to take a shower but you're happy about it. Nothing cathartic in that film.

Anyways my last post about the topic chz im sleepy and wanna read dunmeshi is that i dont think you should find one language learning app you like and just stick to it. I think its good to use a variety of apps that offer different things so you dont fall behind in a particular area. i dont know if i believe theres one true best way to learn a language i think its good to try different techniques and find what works for you and even step out of your comfort zone with it

every article: “Does Your Child Have Meltdowns?” “How To Support Your Autistic Child During A Meltdown.” “Meltdowns In Autistic Children.” “How Can Parents Deal With An Autistic Meltdown?”

i think something to keep in mind about The USAmerican Internet etc. is that that concept only applies to the internet in English - while neither USAmericans nor English speakers are even close to the majority of the world's population, the majority of English-speakers(/readers) (particularly native ones) ARE USAmericans. i think to some extent you get the same phenomenon with other languages - my (Latvian) family speak Russian, and a lot of the Russian Internet assumes that the reader...... is Russian
so sorry for the late response to this ask. it was likely old when I saw it and then I thought about it for a couple days. I might also have forgotten exact details on what the original post said
I don't have any experience with non english internet; so I'm sure what you say is true. it makes sense that a lot of people make assumptions based on language spoken.
but since English is so broadly used globally, I think that to assume everyone is american makes less sense. iirc the original post didn't deny americans were the majority of users. the chief complaint was that being a majority meant that they had a blindspot to people who aren't in america, or viewed foreign countries with a very american lens.
to be clear I don't ascribe fault or blame on americans. but imho it would go a long way for more americans to treat the english speaking internet as a shared global community, like everyone else has to

W….what if one of the new grandkits is named Petalkit, after Hootpetal
bonus points if her suffix is something really dark, cause I think that would be funny
“What’s your name?”
“Petal—“
“Oh let me guess! Petalsong? Petalheart? Petalpool?”
“PetalBLOOD”

REMINDER TO MINORS ONLINE- DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR AGES LIKE IT'S GOING OUT OF STYLE. PEOPLE CAN BE WEIRD. PEOPLE PROBABLY WILL BE WEIRD. STAY SAFE
this reminder brought to you by people in a mc server nonchalantly saying that they're younger than all of my brothers like it was nothing and the subsequent "aunt/uncle (gender neutral)" instincts that flared up and still haven't died down 2 days later because I'M LITERALLY OLD ENOUGH TO DRINK (BUT ONLY BY A FEW YEARS) AND THESE KIDS ARE A FRACTION OF MY AGE.
