Very rarely should a manga series last for over a decade and past 50 volumes.

I say this because we're at the point where My Hero Academia only has its final volume worth of chapters left to serialize, just in time for its 10th anniversary. And while I have many issues with how the final saga has unfolded, I will commend Horikoshi for his good sense of timing. For the most part, I feel like narrative-based manga that go for longer than 10 years and 50 volumes overstay their welcome. Skip Beat!, The Prince of Tennis, Case Closed, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, and dear lord One Piece....manga such as these drag to the point where anything that might have attracted me to their stories in the first place is usually just straight-up gone by the time they hit that 50th volume that they aren't going to end with. I get that mangaka need to make money, but there has to be a limit for artistic integrity's sake!

But with that said, there are three ways for there to be an exception.

The first is obviously if there is no narrative drive or character development to the series. Gag manga like Crayon Shin-chan or a perpetual procedural series such as Golgo 13 qualify here.

The second is if the manga is generational, with different narratives and new protagonists over the years. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Pokémon Adventures are textbook examples.

And the third is if it's Gintama.

Given how this is my first blog, I thought I’d introduce myself, but turns out I don’t really know who I am just yet, so I’ve decided to post a short blog this time.

(Once I finished writing this, I decided to look back on it and… it really isn’t all that interesting….)

Did you guys see the introduction video? I danced in the pool while holding a deck brush 🕺 I was very nervous, but in the end, I was happy because it turned out to be a very nice video 🥰 I’ll post some more photos from the MV / intro video shooting sometime in the future!!

Birthplace: Aichi Prefecture It’s the same as Imai Yuki! I love Aichi! manaca [Nagoya, the capital of Aichi, is said to be in the center of Japan, and, given how ‘manaca’ is derived from the word ‘mannaka’ (center), this word designates Nagoya’s center-like attributes] for life!

Now, allow me to mention my – very carefully selected – favourite anime. They’re Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) and Sora yori mo Tooi Basho (A Place Further than the Universe).

I had a lot of trouble when coming up with the titles for this one, but I decided on these three, they’re the ones I really like!

Related to that, I also went to the 10th anniversary exhibition of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure that was held in Nagoya a while ago and! I now like Jojo more than ever!

Ah! Speaking of Jojo, there’s this movie currently airing in theatres, called ‘Rohan Kishibe Goes to the Louvre’. It was actually really interesting! I’d like people who’ve never seen Jojo to give it a try, too…!

I’mma be honest with you guys...I ship both Fugio and Sheila Fugo (Dunno what that ship name would be?) I like both pairings because of their dynamics, how their personalities bounce off of eachother, and well, also because I can see them as being wholesome, fluffy relationships. Well...as much as they can be when they’re members of the mafia, that is-

JoJo part 5 is a very important part to me and I love PHF, so why not make a pic of Fugo and Sheila in it together? I gave Fugo a Syringe and Sheila E brass knuckles as a sort of symbolism for their stands~

There’s no Murolo MMD model, if there was, I would of happily included him.

For anyone curious, in the au, Fugo gets with Sheila E. Then the death loop happens. Only Sakura, Narancia, and Fugo (Mareike and Arusa if you count them too I guess? One is the ghost of a witch and the other is a cat familiar lol) are the only ones who can remember them, where as Shanna knew what was going on due to having thrice before experienced the time effects of her sister’s stand, Mother Time. However, she was too far away to be of any help to the gang during the death loop except a call to Sakura. Fugo ends up pinning for Sakura for a long time but never acts on those feelings. Naturally, he doesn’t want to betray Narancia. Eventually, he ends up with Sheila again but it takes alot longer this time due to having to get over Sakura. Considering he fell for her because of her kindness to him in every loop, and all the pain and death she went through to get everyone their happy ending, it’s only natural it’d take awhile to get over her.

Outside of the au however? I ship him with Giorno and like to imagine they get together eventually. Soooo, there’s a tiny bit of au lore for you guys that you probably didn’t ask for. XD I’m still on break by the way! I’ll go off of break on Tuesday and get back to requests! I just REALLY wanted to make an anniversary pic for PHF!
