I’ve seen them compare Mobius and Verity, as well (even saw one person try to say Mobius was better on here.)

Makes me wanna spontaneously combust.

Please, I don't want to hear another word about Mobius being anything like Verity Willis because don't you dare insult my ace sweetheart like that.

"They both know when Loki's lying?" For Verity, it's because she sees through all lies. It's her power, it is an important part of her character and the story that she sees all lies, not just Loki's. Mobius sees through Loki because Loki is Starscream now and really obvious about being deceptive. Everyone sees through Loki in the Series, there's nothing notable about Mobius knowing Loki is lying.

"They're the friend that believes in Loki?" That's what gets under my skin. Because for Verity that actually means something when she believes in Loki. For Mobius it's a false praise that could never carry the same weight even if the show was well written.

Understand, Verity is given multiple reasons to doubt Loki. Comic book Loki has always been a villain, and time, and again it's been his fate to be a villain.

Loki the villain, he'll cause the end of the world. Loki managed to even deceive Verity. Verity is given so much reason not to believe Loki isn't anything but the God of Evil, but she ends up believing more in his desire to be better than fate.

She believes in him because they're friends. It's easy to miss not only is Verity Loki's first real friend, he's her first friend as well. It's not because any proof or outside forces that make Verity go back to Loki, it's purely because she cares about him.

Like I said, Mobius believing in Loki could never mean as much because time and again MCU Loki proved he could be good. He spent a thousand years of his life fighting by Thor's side for Asgard. Only for a few years was Loki the villain, and even at the end of his life he was no longer a bad guy. Only after given proof does Mobius start believing Loki, even after that he still doubts him and still calls him a liar.

Mobius is the one who called Loki a villain. Mobius is the one that made Loki feel like that was all he was capable of while knowing Loki risked his life saving Jane, came back and saved the Asgardians from Ragnarok and died protecting his brother. Mobius should believe in Loki after seeing all that.

Mobius is the one who brings Loki down to his lowest and then it's treated as something special when he says something not awful. His kindness always circumstantial and only when it's convent to be nice.

Verity and Loki are friends. They're two people who clearly enjoy each other's company and clearly talk and hang out as friends. Mobius and Loki, it never stops being an alliance of convenience. I honestly have no idea what Loki sees in Mobius. It really comes off that Loki is so use to being in abusive relationships that a person clearly using him he ends seeing as a friend because of a few kind words tossed his way.
