Happy slightly belated 6th anniversary, Sonic IDW! To celebrate, it's time for me to get into Issue 3 of Fang the Hunter!

After being saved by Eggman, he asks Fang, Bean, and Bark why they were in Newtrogic High Zone, and Fang tells him about their search for the eighth Chaos Emerald...

Eggman of course doesn't believe him, but he takes the suprise meeting with them as an opportunity to hire them to find a ship of his that went missing and was piloted by the Hardboiled Heavies and could be powered by the supposed Chaos Emerald (...gee, I wonder which ship that could be? :3).

Back at Tails' lab, he begins working on a tracker to find the disappearing ship they saw earlier, although Sonic doesn't want to keep waiting for it to be finished.

While Tails is still working though, Fang manages to track down the ship, and he, Bean, and Bark board it and begin searching for the Emerald. What they find however is none other than the Warp Topaz, and it's revealed that the Hardboiled Heavies found it and used it to take control of the ship.

And that's it for Issue 3 of Fang the Hunter! We also got some covers and the solicits for both Issue 70 and a one-shot called Spring Broken, which are both set to come out in June...

Welcome back, race fans! Extreme gear engines are revving as we prep for the second leg of the Clean Sweepstakes! But there's drama on the track! As Tails and Amy go to investigate a mystery of their own, only Sonic is left to answer the question, who is the Phantom Rider?!

Spring has sprung! The flowers are in bloom, and so is trouble! When Sonic, Tails, and friends try to take some downtime, they run into a mystery that's spring broken! A seasonal whodunit in the Sonic style!

Got issue 3 on Wednesday.

While I’ve been doing my comics, the one thing I failed to notice as a comic writer was the issue numbers that were supposed to be on the front covers. As you can see, I have made some changes to the front cover of issue 1 by adding the issue number as well as making the title font more visible to the readers.

In the previous version, the title did not stand out because of the motion blur behind it. I changed it because I noticed the title had blended in with the motion blur which made it look unreadable. So I went ahead to change it by replacing this title font with a new one I made on Photoshop. I also added a different kind of motion blur and turned down the opacity to make it look readable to the readers.

Once I’ve fixed the front cover, I applied what I’ve done to issue 1 to all the over issues I’ve written. Now, my comic series has a more readable title font on the front covers.

ABOUT

BIO

I am an artist from Torbay, Devon and I'm currently based in Brighton, UK. My work spans across all mediums, from painting, to sculpture, performance & tattooing. I studied a BA in Fine Arts in Bristol & an MFA at Wimbledon College of Arts, graduating in 2019. I've worked in several art galleries such as Bernard Jacobson, Newport Street (Damien Hirst) and am a founder of Uncovered Collective, which is a group of creatives who hold exhibitions for emerging artists. Currently I mostly create handpoke (stick and poke) tattoos, from a private studio space in South London. I also work in SEO. I also have a food blog: Brighton Bites Back and am part of Uncovered Collective.

My practice is an investigation through various media. Generally, my motivation to create comes from an attempt to define my moral and political identity against the social landscape.

Sorry it took me so long to get to Issue 3 of Scrapnik Island, I made a bit of a miscalculation on my end that made this take a lot longer to do, but at the very least, I guess it’s fitting that I’m talking about the last IDW Issue of this year on the final day of the year :3

So after getting knocked out and Sonic gets kidnapped by Mecha Sonic, Sigma wakes up to find Mecha Knuckles destroyed...

Meanwhile, Tails and the other scrapniks find out about Mecha Sonic keeping Sonic hooked up to a machine, and they get ready to save him.

Tails and the scrapniks then make their way into the Death Egg and find Sigma, who explains that he wasn’t able to completely free Mecha of Eggman’s programming, which explains why he’s been acting the way he has since seeing Sonic.

Mecha Sonic finds them after Sigma explains this however, and after picking them off one by one to leave him alone, Mecha Sonic drops Tails in the trash.

Don’t forget to recycle, kids :3

Mecha then takes Tails’ Miles Electric pad to the machine where he’s keeping Sonic, and he’s now ready to set his plans in motion...

...also, Mecha Sonic may be planning on swapping their brains, but we won’t know for sure until the final issue. Speaking of the final issue, both Issue 4 of Scrapnik Island as well as Issue 56 were set to come out in the next couple weeks, although we haven’t gotten any preview pages for Issue 56 yet, so there’s a chance it (and possibly Issue 4 of Scrapnik Island) have been delayed, but we’ll once again have to wait and see.

We also got both a cover and the solicit for Issue 59, which is set to come out in March...

Androids everywhere! Three teams are trapped in Eggperial City, fighting wave after wave of androids. Sonic is speeding, Amy is smashing, Tails is flying. Shadow is punching, Omega is ripping, Rouge is…looting. But will it be enough? And has anyone seen Tangle?!

Długo otrzymywało się przekonanie, że w Azji środkowej brak jest hotpostów bioróżnorodności. Mianowicie, polscy podróżnicy i biolodzy udokumentowali niesamowitą różnorodność życia w tym regionie świata. Zadaniem pierwszej ekspedycji kaszgarskiej miało być odkrycie arkanów tych niezbadanych krajów, ich ekosystemów oraz prac nad ochroną dzikiej przyrody. Nawet w dzisiejszych czasach w epoce dynamicznych zmian na planecie, człowiek zdaje sobie niewiele z pożytku dzikiej przyrody. A dzika przyroda tzw. orientu jest ciekawa. Ekologia i zasięgi występowania zarówno jakichś gatunków małych dzikich zwierząt są bynajmniej obiektem zainteresowania naukowców i przyrodników-fascynatów. Są wśród nich plamiste wydry o krępej budowie ciała, górska małpka ksy-gyik, błotne czworonogi tzw. herpetofauna z Xinjiang oraz kazachu czy płazy i ich habitaty. Issue3: Improving myself, what are your best 3 pieces of advice

Start a cardio regime (swimming or running or biking) 3x per week. If you have access to a sauna or steam room definitely use it. The benefits of cardio are vast, you’ll have more energy, be in better shape, your brain will work better and you’ll be more relaxed and less stressed. I personally prefer swimming but find what you like. Start with 5 lengths and go from there. Running start with 1k and go from there. Don’t give 2 shits about your speed or timing or how you look, nobody gives a shit (in the nicest possible way), just get out there and get it done!

Meditate 5-10 minutes a day using Headspace or whatever app works for you. Do this every day for 6 weeks before you decide if it works or not. Check out Dan Harris talk at Google called 10% Happier.

Get off social media and use that time to read or work on something you want to achieve. What do you want to achieve?
