Irish McCalla at age eighteen. She was Sheena of the jungle on 1950s TV. I've read all the Sheena short stories that inspired the comics and television program. No publisher in the late 40s to early 50s was going to let their authors portray Sheena in a mature way. In all the stories she gets discreetly naked twice and engages in little more than platonic kissing with her love interest Bob. The Comic book had her get naked more often but the TV show may as well dressed her in pilgrim attire. No way were they going to let a babe like Irish run around in just a tiny leopard skin bikini for what was essentially a kids show. Irish later confided that when this picture was taken she was still a virgin. Sweet dreams!
