Iori not only despises people who would use him for his fame, but also his father who had no interest in him until he was no longer a dependent child.

Having been raised by his butler (who is called Matsunaga), he really doesn’t like having his biological father come into his life now, trying to tell him what to do as if they’re a real family and not two people held together by genetics and a family registry. He especially doesn’t like the way his father looks down at the career path that he paved for himself and so easily calls it a hobby, as if he has any right to expect Iori to start living by his standards and expectations.

Under no illusions, Iori knows that his dad is pushing for him to give up his idol career in order to take on the family company so his dad can play all the time… though he doesn’t see why that should have anything to do with him, he knows his dad lacks hardwork and responsibility to be anything but a figurehead for the company at this point. Honestly, even if he did like his dad, Iori doesn’t want to be a part of a company that has been neglected for years and is one big mistake away from crumbling to the ground.

It really isn’t hard for Iori to look down on his father for the above reasons, and the conclusion that he came to a long time ago: his father is mentally weak and flimsy. Any man who can be so willingly used is just pitiful.
