what's a solar return?
any time the sun transits and becomes exactly conjunct your natal sun (it is in the exact sign and degree it was in when you were born), you undergo a solar return. solar returns happen every year on your birthday. my solar return is coming up this october, so i thought "why not?let's continue my thoughts about the return charts."
but what can a solar return chart show you?
literally everything about your year ahead. you just have to look at it and know what you are looking at/for. so let's break it down some of the basics...

One of my neighbours recently had to get his garage lifted up a bit. I guess when you park heavy-ass classic cars in there and never drive them anywhere, all the accumulated market value makes the foundation settle. To fix this problem, he turned to "mud jacking," which is a fancy industry term for spraying a lot of mud under the foundation until the house lifts up or breaks in half, whichever one comes first.
I stood out there in my nightgown, sipping my morning crankcase coffee, and I thought: I could do that shit, too. Unfortunately, my garage was not sinking into the earth at the moment. This is mostly because the surrounding area was already being depressed by approximately fourteen broken cars and their associated internal components. Levels it out a bit, I guess?
Either way, I had a real hankering to apply this new technology I had just discovered, and no safe or legal outlet for that hankering. This is the kind of thing that, in the past, the courts have historically had an issue with. I had to find something else to jack, and fast.
After driving around the neighbourhood for a few minutes, I could find no collapsed driveways, garages, basements, or even statues of losing generals in racist wars. I could already feel the rich tingle of hyperfixation wearing off. That's when I saw it: a city road that had a whole bunch of potholes! I had been driving over it for weeks and simply didn't notice that it was a thing that I could fix, without having to waste the time of brave government workers.
A few minutes and some creative reuse of toilet plumbing and a stolen air compressor later, the road was now fixed. Then the power cord caught fire and welded itself into the outlet of the stolen inverter I was using it power it. Then the cables for that inverter welded themselves to my car battery, along with part of my electrical system. This sudden influx of current made the compressor roar, its ambition to compress all air in creation no longer limited by the pitiful restrictions of mere copper. Rest assured, fair reader: mud was jacked, and jacked good.
So if you're coming through my neighbourhood, watch out for the new speed bump. It's a lot of fun to ramp, but I must admit that it doesn't add much to pedestrian safety, especially since you can't see anyone shorter than about 6'8" who is trying to cross the road anymore.

US president-elect Donald Trump has appointed venture capitalist and former PayPal executive David Sacks as White House AI & Crypto Czar, a newly created role meant to establish the country as the global leader in both fields.
Members of the cryptosphere have gathered to congratulate their new czar, a Trump loyalist from Silicon Valley who has previously expressed enthusiasm for crypto technologies and invested in crypto startups. The appointment is being celebrated by crypto executives and policy wonks as “bullish” for the industry, which under the previous administration was bombarded with lawsuits by US regulators. On X, Gemini chief legal officer Tyler Meader wrote, “At long last, a rational conversation about crypto can be had.”
Others have speculated that the dual-faceted nature of the role, covering both AI and crypto, could set the tone for experimentation around potential synergies between the two disciplines. Among VCs, Sacks “was very early in noting the importance of crypto to AI,” says Caitlin Long, CEO at crypto-focused bank Custodia. In his announcement, Trump wrote that the two areas were “critical to the future of American competitiveness.”
“There is no better person than David Sacks to help steer the future of crypto and AI innovation in America,” says John Robert Reed, partner at crypto-focused VC firm Multicoin Capital. “He's a principled entrepreneur and brilliant technologist that deeply understands each of these industries and where they intersect.”
“Initial reactions from the crypto industry on the Sacks appointment has been positive. Given his purview as a venture capitalist, he’s seen a lot of the innovation in crypto and AI that has been stunted in growth due to various political or regulatory issues the past few years,” says Ron Hammond, director of government relations at the Blockchain Association. “What remains to be seen is how much power the czar role will even have and if it will be more a policy driver position versus a policy coordinator role.”
In an X post, Sacks expressed his gratitude to Trump. “I am honored and grateful for the trust you have placed in me. I look forward to advancing American competitiveness in these critical technologies,” he wrote. “Under your leadership, the future is bright.”
In his role as czar, Sacks will lead a council of science and technology advisers responsible for making policy recommendations, Trump says. He will also develop a legal framework that sets out clear rules for crypto businesses to follow—something the industry has long demanded. That will reportedly involve working closely with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), two regulatory agencies that vied for jurisdiction over the crypto industry under the Biden administration. Earlier this week, Trump appointed crypto advocate Paul Atkins as SEC chair; members of the crypto industry contributed to the selection process, sources told WIRED in November.
Trump officials did not respond when asked to clarify whether the new position would be internal to the government, or whether Sacks would act as a “special government employee,” allowing him to continue in other private-sector roles. Sacks did not respond to a request for comment.
Sacks first made his name as one of the earliest employees at payments technology firm PayPal, which he built alongside Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Reid Hoffman, and others. Like other members of the so-called “PayPal Mafia,” Sacks went on to set up multiple other business ventures. In 2012, he sold workplace software company Yammer to Microsoft in a deal worth $1.2 billion. Now he runs his own venture capital firm, Craft Ventures, which has previously invested in companies including AirBnb, Palantir, and Slack—as well as crypto firms BitGo and Bitwise.
Sacks also cohosts the popular All In podcast where he’s used the platform to boost Trump. He’s also shared a host of right-wing takes: At the podcast’s summit this September, Sacks questioned the effectiveness of the Covid vaccine.
Like Musk, Sacks was a vocal proponent of Trump during the presidential race. In an X post in June, he laid out his very Silicon Valley rationale: “The voters have experienced four years of President Trump and four years of President Biden. In tech, we call this an A/B test,” he wrote. “With respect to economic policy, foreign policy, border policy, and legal fairness, Trump performed better. He is the President who deserves a second term.”
That same month, Sacks hosted an exclusive fundraiser for the Trump campaign, reportedly generating as much as $12 million. Attendees reportedly included vice-president-elect JD Vance—who has previously described Sacks as “one of my closest friends in the tech world”—and Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, cofounders of crypto exchange Gemini.
In the weeks since Trump won back the Oval Office, crypto markets have been on a tear. During the race, the president-elect made a host of crypto-friendly pledges, including a promise to set up a national “bitcoin stockpile.” In Sacks, Trump has picked a czar that the crypto industry believes will deliver on his campaign pledges.
On December 6, the price of bitcoin vaulted beyond $100,000 for the first time. “YOU”RE WELCOME!!! [sic]” Trump posted on Truth Social.

A Quick Look at the FIA and F1 Rules
Hi everyone, glad people seemed to like my more technical posts. I thought it would be helpful to take a look at the FIA and some of the most important rules and regulations in F1. I won't get to every rule, there are far too many, but I will cover the most important ones.
To understand the rules one must first understand the governing body, the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile). The FIA is the organization that started F1, but is in fact in charge of all motorsports worldwide. So endurance racing is overseen by the FIA and so is MotoGP for example. This means that most rules are pretty streamlined across the different types. It also means that the FIA has somewhat of a monopoly over motorsports.
Some people think of the FIA like its a big room of people sitting around a table and making decisions, but this isn't the case at all. Rather, the FIA is made up of various national motoring associations and is spread all over the world. Most members don't even meet, and it feels less like a body sometimes and more like a union of allies. It is led by a president who is elected by FIA members, and has a variety of vice presidents who cover certain divisions (safety commission, F1 commission, etc).
The major duties of the FIA are to create rules, oversee races, discipline rule breakers, oversee technology, and ensure safety of drivers and fans. In truth, they have a very complex job to do over such a wide berth. And every single year there are new rules an regulations that the FIA creates or even is forced to create. It enforces these rules through the judicial system (namely the stewards, race directors, and International Court of Appeals) and acts essentially as any other government would work. While all members vote on certain issues, the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) is the ultimate decision maker (a lot like the US's congress) and covers all motorsports around the world, not just F1.
Alright, so that is just a quick look at those guys. Let's dive into some major rules.
Power Unit Regulations
Power Units are majorly regulated in F1. They have to be a specific type in modern F1, namely a hybrid power unit. The rule that requires hybrid power units was put in place in 2014 in order to encourage teams to innovate in engine recovery, and ultimately be more sustainable. Another rule around power units is the power unit limit. Cars are limited to a certain amount of replacement components (ICE, MGU-K, MGU-H, etc) during the season, and if they go over they incur a grid penalty. For example, in Spa this year Yuki Tsunoda took multiple power units over the limit and received a 60 place grid penalty. This rule is in place to make sure that wealthy teams who can afford to replace their parts often do not get an unfair advantage.
2. The Spending Cap
Introduced in 2019 or 2020 I believe, the spending cap is one of the newer big rules in F1. It was created (after pressure from some smaller teams) to make sure that the wealthier teams weren't spending an excessive amount. For example, before the cap a team like Ferrari would spend something like $400M or more on their car, but a team like Williams would only be able to afford around $250M. The FIA felt this gave the big teams a massive advantage (it did) and thus the cap was created to level the playing field more. The cap excludes driver salaries and other such costs.
3. Aerodynamic Restrictions
There are many regulations surrounding the aerodynamics on a car. These limit the sizes of things like the wings and diffusers, but also limits the design. For example, on the rear wing, the DRS flap must have a certain level of stiffness in order to pass regulation. One of the new regulations surrounding aerodynamics was the introduction of ground effect in 2022. This is a complex array of tunnels and pipes in the floor of the car that generates more downforce. This was created and declared legal in order to increase the rate of overtakes and ensure more close races.
4. Tire Regulations
Like aerodynamics there are a lot of rules around tires. The major one is the race day tire allocation. On the day of a race, teams are limited to choosing only three compounds of tires to have ready. On top of that, during the race they must use at least two different types of compounds. So a team can't stay on mediums the whole race. If they start out on mediums they must switch to a hard or soft eventually. Another rule, this time meant for safety, is the wet weather rule. If there is rain during the race, teams must switch to inters or full wets. If they don't they can receive a major penalty, financial or on the grid.
5. Qualifying Rules
Qualifying has its own set of rules that must be followed. The major one is of course the sessions formatting (Q1, Q2, and Q3). They also must pay attention to the clock. If they do not start their flying lap before time is over, they are out of luck. One big rule is the yellow flag rule. If a driver is on flying lap, but a yellow flag comes out, they must slow down and abort their lap. If they don't, they risk a grid penalty or deleted quali time. We saw this recently in Singapore, when Max Verstappen's first Q3 time was deleted after he ignored a yellow flag. Speaking of deleted times, track limits are also very important in quali. This rule states that during a flying lap, drivers must remain inside the white line or have their time deleted. This rule is in place to ensure they don't get an unfair advantage. We saw this also in Singapore, when Charles Leclerc's time was deleted and bumped him down to P9. The last quali rule I will discuss is the impeding rule. This rule states that if you are on an outlap or inlap and a car doing their flying comes behind you, you are required to move out of the way. If you don't that's a penalty, often a grid penalty, and is called impeding. I lied, actually the last rule I will discuss is parc ferme. When drivers park their cars in parc ferme after quali, absolutely no changes to the car are allowed. This is a big one, and teams have been fined millions for not complying.
6. Race Rules
Buckle up. There are a lot of race rules. The ones that viewers probably notice the most surround giving overtakers space. Essentially, when you are driving and about to get overtaken, you must leave room for the other to come through. That doesn't mean to not defend, but if them getting past is inevitable you cannot push them out. Contact in general is frowned upon, and if two cars hit, it will be investigated to see who is at fault. If no one was, it is ruled as a racing incident. If one driver is at fault, they will receive a time penalty. Many drivers break these rules. This also goes hand in hand with the rule that states that a driver cannot overtake if they are off the track. So in a race if two cars are battling, one goes off track and gets ahead, they must give the position back. Again, drivers break this rule all the time.
More rules that drivers must bow to during the race include rules about adhering to flags, safety car rules, and DRS rules. For the flags, no matter what drivers must follow the rules. If its yellow, slow down. If its red, race is over. If its blue, you are getting lapped and must let them by. Under the yellow flag a safety car usually comes out as well. When the safety car is out, overtakes are not available and speed is limited. Rule breakers are severely punished. For DRS the major rule states that it can only be used in DRS zones around tracks and when your car is within 1 second of the car in front of you. I have never seen a driver break this rule, but I assume the punishment is severe. There are a lot more race rules I could say, but these are the most normal ones to see enforced.
7. Pit Rules
During quali and the race, the pit lane has its own set of intense rules. the first one I will discuss is the pit speed limit. This limit forces drivers to slow down to about 50 MPH while they are driving through the pit lane (terribly slow for an F1 car) and was created for safety purposes. Those who break it during quali might receive a fine or a grid penalty if it was bad. Those who break it mid race will receive a time penalty. Another important rule is the safe release rule. This rule states that before releasing the car from the pit box or garage, they must ensure the lane is clear. If they don't and almost cause an incident (like two cars crashing) then a driver will be charged with a unsafe release and incur a penalty. The final rule I will discuss is the pit penalty rule. if a driver during the race receives a time penalty, they often serve it when they pit. What happens is the driver will pull up like normal, and then however long they have been penalized, they must sit there. The Pit Crew is not allowed to touch the car until the penalty is served. If they do, they incur another more aggressive penalty and often have to serve the first one again.
8. Super License
I'm sure you have heard of a Super License before. Essentially, all F1 drivers must hold a valid FIA Super License. It requires them to accumulate a certain amount of points in junior categories before they can drive an F1 car. This ensures that all drivers have sufficient experience to avoid accidents.
9. Car Development
There are strict regulations of the F1 cars. The dimensions must be within a certain limit, the weight must be over a certain limit, and other such rules. The biggest rule, in my opinion, is the rule around car development. Shortly, a team must design their car themselves. So they cannot copy another teams designs, or purchase major parts from last year car. The whole point of being a constructor is that you construct, so the FIA set these rules to make sure no unfair advantages were being taken. Certain parts can be bought from other teams as long as they are un-listed by the FIA however, so small teams like Haas often purchase simple parts.
10. Protests and Appeals
During the season, teams have the right to protest other teams if they believe their actions/cars are illegal and can also protest any decisions made by the racing director during a race. If it is investigated and the car was declared illegal or the decision was declared incorrect, there will be retroactive action, like removing a penalty or disqualifying a team from the protested races. if the hearing is held and a team is charged, that team can appeal the hearing and present new evidence in an attempt to reverse the decision.
Alright that is all the major rules! If there are any I forgot or ones you need clarification on, please let me know.
As always, cheers!

While we are thinking about the way that English--language cultures hide, obviate, and redirect blame.
I want you to take all the skills you use when thinking about stories about cops murdering people, and apply them here.
Passive voice, not naming the culprit, downplaying their responsibility.
Neither the headline nor the first paragraph name the Israeli military. If I didn't know the story, I would assume from the title that Hezbollah was the creator of the attack, not the recipient. If the devices had blown up in the US, Europe, or Israel, they would also be referred to Hezbollah explosions, or perhaps as Hezbollah terror attacks.
Please, please be aware that the Israeli government is "conducting targeted strikes" and against "terrorist organizations."
But the Likud right-wing nationalists are also committing unprecedented terror attacks targeting the elected political parties of two other countries, and the civilians, medics, and community organizations associated with them. They murdered dozens, inclduing children and medics, indiscriminately, in order to traumatize everyone living there and reduce them to a state of ongoing panic.
itsthesamepicture.jpg
This is not a neutral article. By linguistically ignoring Israel and burying the lede that
the Israeli state department used several shell companies to manufacture these pagers, by focusing on a Taiwanese manufacturer etc etc
They are rhetorically and emotionally excusing Israel.
The Israeli government broke godknowswhat international and business laws to plant thousands of explosives the the everyday items of purchased by another government and indiscriminately injured 3,000 people.
The fact that this is being reported so gently is not unbiased.
Even this article that is like, well it looks like maybe they did break international law, isn't unbiaesed.
The framing is enormously gentle, because the answer to the question is yes. Israel's terrorist attack broke laws.
These articles will seem moderate against this rhetorical monstrosity.
because it is unvarnished propoganda that entirely reframes the nature of right and wrong based on who is doing the action.
Their mindset will never be the same. They will no longer view a refrigerator, microwave, or light bulb in the same way. Until their last day, they will never feel safe, no matter where they are. They will live in constant fear of what might explode next. Just as Trump changed the rules of political campaigns and Apple revolutionized marketing, Israel has redefined military operations. It is no longer enough to incapacitate the enemy’s capabilities or eliminate personnel. To truly defeat terrorists, one must dismantle their mental defenses and make them feel powerless. This demands immense creativity and flawless execution—qualities possessed by only a few, much like the visionaries behind groundbreaking technologies. The ability to carry out such an operation underscores the difference between a strong, dynamic country with brilliant minds and a terrorist organization.
The author doesn't believe terrorism has to do with actions, but is an identity inherent to the other.
How can you say that a really dirty, traumatizing, textbook example of a terrorist attack shows that you are a strong dynamic country and *not* a terrorist organization masquerading as a government?
The word country is key here.
Another way that the English language hides violence has to do with the idea that certain groups have a right to infinite violence in terms of self defense and protection of well-being, and that they have a monopoly on it.
Other groups have absolutely no right to self defense, and even the most basic self defense is an illegal assault.
Think about how cops are in the US. They can assault you and kill you with immunity for not following their commands quickly enough. Any self defense or defense of others against a cop is grounds for a assault and a prison sentence.
A group the law binds but does not protect, and a group the law protects but does not bind.
The English, who stole Palestine from the Palestinians and gave it to the Israelis, where very fond of deciding that any government, nation, organization, clan, tribe, people group, that they didn't want to deal with was illegitimate, with no right to self determination or power.
They starved several Million Irish to death, after deciding they didn't have a right to their own country, they murdered tens of thousands who resisted their rule. because not a people. And all their responses were illegitimate and morally evil, because the British had a right to power, dominion, gain, and violence, but the Irish did not. have a right to self determination or self defense.
Now, I don't like terrorism, and I don't like governments that enage in it, like Hamas, Hezbollah, the US, The UK, and Israel. I think its bad to do that.
Just objectively. I think the murder of civilians is bad. I think murdering children is bad.
I think trying to take everything that someone else owns and then committing mass civilian murder when they try to resist you is bad, and that is the pattern of the English-derived governments--the UK, the East Indian Company and the British raj, all the British Empire, everything to do with the way the United States of America acquired terrirtory and now defends itself, Australia, Canada not off the hook, and inevitably, Israel was forged by this exact same thing. The Ebglish unpeopled a People, took everything they had, made resistance illegal, and gave it to someone else.
I also do not want people to attack the civilians of these countries. I think terror attacks agains the US and UK and Israel are also bad.
You can be on the side of "murdering civilians is bad" and not pick a country that its ok when they murder civilians and inspire mass terror.
You don't have to be like, this one is the one who gets to do it, and if you criticize them doing it, you hate babies and want to murder me. Right?
I need to find out what this is actually called. In science its the god trick. There has to be a word for the way that perspective makes some mass murders into unfortunate civilian causalities and others into brutal terror attacks.

Oh no, there's lines in there!!!!
This is a (once again, a leetle outdated but still good enough) political map! The border lines are a bit wacky, don't worry it's annoying for everyone living there too. Anyway, here's a horrid lore dump if you care to read it XD :
Blue represents the DRSS (Democratic Republic of the Solar System) its just about what it sounds like. This country is made up of a collection of states similar to the USA, and it is largely populated and governed by humans. much of their internal infrastructure is meant for humans, too, making it very difficult to live there as anything else. However, some areas within each state are Enclaves, where other species have been given say over the laws and architecture and are more or less free to govern themselves (with some intervention from the big government). The grayish blue area to the west is known as the Outlands. It's legally a part of the DRSS, but extremely undeveloped and sparsely populated beyond rough farming and mining operations. They got this land in the afotementioned treaty ( and a considerable amount of say in other territories outside their borders, since they won the war. And still have some nukes.)
Orange is the Seru Empire (Cerest Empire or just 'the Empire' to most people). They are related to the interplanetary Imperial power I talked about in the geography post, though the so-called Seru Empire is much newer, created thanks to the resurgence of Old Empire sympathies and ideologies. There are no good empires, and this one is no exception. It is a widely known fact that those living within its borders are subject to harsh working conditions, strict legislation and swift brutal punishment, and of course are separated by species into a rigid caste structure. Besides humans, there are 5 other intelligent species stranded on this planet. 4 of them make up the bulk of the population in the SE (more on all them later I promise) . Technically, the SE is made up of different internal jurisdictions like the DRSS, though led by associated arms of the dictator, but those have much less autonomy and no authority under the central regime. They have limited access to pretty much everything everywhere because they're the losing side. And everyone hates them.
Purple is the Muttreazik Territories, named after the species that mostly lives there. While characterized as a 'Wild West' of sorts, this land is actually separated into very distinctive cultural regions of muttreazik that are highly organized within their own turf (though not very interested in working together). This place is largely unexplored and presumably largely untouched by exo terraforming, making the West the only place you can go and still see the original plant life that was there before your species crashed a ship on it. On a related note, it is very unforgiving to pioneers, both because of the lack of anything edible/any infrastructre to help you survive and the parasitic mutant-inhabiting locals who look like you but not (muttreazik are a fun bunch).
The yellow/grayish blue area in the middle is the Skyfall Exclusion Zone, or the SEZ. This was originally a smaller area unofficially sectioned off/avoided by the world because of the high levels of Radiation from Unknown Universe (RUU) leaking out from that damn lake (or rather, the thing in that damn lake. I should probably mention, RUU was used to power many of the human spacecraft. It's a barely understood energy that was supposed to stay in the machines. It was never supposed to get out of the machines.) The SEZ was officially established with the treaty as a vassal state to the DRSS to act as a demilitarized buffer between the warring powers, since neither of them want to cross that land and both consider it unusable. Well, mostly unusable. The SEZ's main export is space junk, since this area also happens to be where most of the stuff fell in The Crash. The technology, resources, and information that can be gathered from The Wreck is valuable enough for the DRSS to keep it around and let it do its own thing as ling as all the best junk goes to them and not the Empire. Speaking of, the inhabitants of the SEZ are a mix of everyone, mostly just riffraff that ended up there for one reason or another. Though many also got trapped in there by new border drawing and now can't leave thanks to the closure. Womp womp, have fun living downwind of the radioactive scrap heap, loser.
That dark gray circle is a nuclear exclusion zone (Area 1) . Considerably less fun than the SEZ because this radiation is normal and just rips your cells apart instead of giving you powers. Don't go in there.
Green on the mainland is the Gaek Federation. Offshore green is the Orbouh Island Nations, collectively known as the Drowning Islands region. This area is an economic exclusive zone, since the big countries no longer trade across their own borders. This area is entirely neutral and independent, gov wise, though it upholds the treaty's stipulations because they want to keep the tentative peace and their biggest customers. This area has a diverse population. It's outer borders are a bit malleable, since as the 'Drowning' part of the name suggests the islands tend to appear and dissappear with the tides caused by the planet's 3 moons. The planet also has rings btw you can see a tiny version of it in my pfp.
Red is the Kixeli Interplanetary Community, pretty much a really dense and mostly autonomous Enlclave of a certain amphibious species. It shares territory with the Confederation of Free Sapients, a small country built on rejecting the current entrenched ways of the two super powers and building a more inclusive system.
All these idiots are just stuck on an ideal little part of a much wider world, unexplored and vast. Who knows what's on the rest of this continent, or the rest of the globe...

Digital Signature Certificate for Import-Export Code (IEC) Registration
The Import-Export Code (IEC) is a unique identification number required by businesses involved in the import or export of goods and services in India. One of the mandatory requirements for IEC registration is the submission of documents using a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). This blog explains the importance of DSCs in the IEC registration process, how they are used, and why securing your DSC is crucial for your business’s growth in international trade.
What is the Import-Export Code (IEC)?
The Import-Export Code (IEC) is a key business identification number provided by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). It is mandatory for businesses wishing to engage in international trade activities. Whether you’re a manufacturer, wholesaler, or trader, an IEC is essential for clearing goods through customs, making payments for exports/imports, and availing other export benefits.
Why is a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Needed for IEC Registration?
E-Filing Requirement: The DGFT requires businesses to submit their IEC registration forms electronically via the DGFT portal. To sign and submit these online forms, you need a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). This DSC ensures that the forms are validated and processed by the authorities without the risk of fraud.
Ensures Legal Validity: A DSC is recognized under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and serves as a legally valid electronic signature. This makes it possible for the IEC application to be processed legally, just like a traditional paper submission.
Prevents Tampering: The use of encryption technology in DSCs ensures that the information submitted for IEC registration cannot be altered once it’s been signed, thus preventing tampering or fraudulent modifications to the documents.
Faster Processing: Using a DSC speeds up the entire IEC registration process. Since the registration is done electronically, you can avoid delays associated with manual document submission and processing.
How to Apply for IEC Registration with a DSC
Obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC): To apply for an IEC, you first need to obtain a DSC from a Certifying Authority (CA). You can choose between Class 2 and Class 3 DSCs, with Class 3 being the more secure option for business-related applications like IEC registration.
Prepare the Required Documents: The DGFT requires various documents for IEC registration, such as the PAN card, proof of address, bank certificate, and the identity of the applicant. Along with these documents, you will need your DSC to authenticate and sign the application.
Register on the DGFT Portal: Visit the DGFT’s official website and create an account. After registering, log in to complete the IEC application form online. During this process, you’ll be asked to upload your documents.
Attach the DSC: Once you’ve completed the form and uploaded all the necessary documents, you’ll need to sign the form using your DSC. This step ensures the authenticity of the registration application and validates your submission.
Submit the Application: After attaching your DSC, submit the application. The DGFT will process your application, and once it is approved, your IEC will be issued electronically.
Benefits of Using DSC for IEC Registration
Security: The encryption technology in DSCs secures your business’s data and ensures that sensitive information remains protected during the registration process.
Legitimacy: With a DSC, you can ensure that your IEC registration is legally valid, reducing the chances of rejection or delays due to discrepancies.
Efficiency: The use of DSC reduces the manual effort involved in IEC registration and ensures that your application is processed more quickly.
Reduced Fraud Risks: Since the DSC links your identity to the submitted documents, it prevents any fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, protecting your business from potential legal and financial issues.
Conclusion
A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) plays an integral role in securing and facilitating the Import-Export Code (IEC) registration process. By ensuring the authenticity of your online submission and protecting your business’s sensitive data, a DSC is essential for those seeking to engage in international trade. For a smooth IEC registration experience, consult with the Best CA Firm in Delhi, which can help you obtain a DSC and guide you through the entire registration process, ensuring your business is ready for global expansion.

The European Union (EU) is an attractive location for entrepreneurs looking to expand their businesses into a market of over 450 million consumers. The EU's seamless internal market, robust legal framework, and favorable business environment make it a hotspot for both startups and established businesses.
At Euro Company Formations, we help businesses navigate the complexities of EU company registration, offering expertise and guidance every step of the way. This article provides an overview of the EU registration process and the benefits of incorporating within the EU.
Why Register a Company in the EU?
Register a company in the EU offers numerous advantages:
Access to a Large Market: With 27 member countries, the EU is one of the world's largest markets, providing ample opportunity for business growth.
Favorable Business Regulations: The EU provides clear regulations on trade, intellectual property, and consumer protection, giving businesses a stable environment.
Free Movement of Goods, Services, and Capital: Once established in one EU country, your business can trade freely across the entire EU without additional tariffs or complex regulatory barriers.
Tax Benefits: Many EU countries offer tax incentives and advantages to new businesses, especially those in innovation and technology sectors.
Steps to Registering a Company in the EU
1. Choose Your Business Structure
The EU allows different types of business structures, including Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), Sole Proprietorships, and Public Limited Companies. Choosing the right structure impacts your tax liabilities, personal liability, and reporting requirements. Euro Company Formations can help you select the structure that best suits your business model.
2. Choose a Country for Registration
Each EU country has its own regulations, so it’s essential to choose a country that aligns with your business goals. For instance, Ireland and Estonia are popular for tech startups due to favorable tax regimes and online accessibility.
3. Register Your Business Name
You’ll need to check that your desired business name is available in the chosen country’s commercial register. The name must be unique and comply with any naming conventions.
4. Prepare Required Documents
Most countries require basic documents, including:
Articles of association (company bylaws)
Proof of identity for directors and shareholders
Proof of registered office address
In many cases, you’ll also need to provide proof of funds if starting a capital-intensive business. Euro Company Formations offers services to help organize these documents and ensure compliance with local regulations.
5. Register with Tax Authorities
Once your company is legally established, you must register with the relevant tax authorities for VAT, corporation tax, and, in some cases, employee payroll taxes.
6. Obtain Necessary Licenses and Permits
Depending on your industry, you may need specific licenses to operate legally within the EU. This includes permits for regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
7. Open a Business Bank Account
Opening a business bank account in the EU simplifies transactions and helps establish credibility. Many banks require proof of company registration, identification of the company's directors, and sometimes even a business plan.
Why Choose Euro Company Formations?
At Euro Company Formations, we simplify the process by offering personalized guidance and support tailored to your business needs. Our experienced team has in-depth knowledge of each EU country’s specific requirements, ensuring your company registration is smooth and hassle-free.

I would very much like to hear about ur hunger games au
Oh Hell Yeah!
I've always been a fan of Hunger Games AUs that focus on people post games, where they have to try and find themselves and live with what they did on top of navigating the snakes nest of the Capitol.
I'll put this under a read more as to not clog up the dash.
General AU Stuff:
Most Hunger Games canon stays the same, however Hermitcraft canon gets mixed and mingled in there. Same way Mumbo was the youngest ever Hermit member to join at 17, in this he was the youngest victor to win at 12/13.
Their ages are the same as they are irl, since years have passed since they competed. No Children Here
Personally i am really fond of the idea of Evil Xisuma taking on the role of president snow - his legal name is Xisuma, but since Xisuma Void won everyone just calls him Evil Xisuma and victor Xisuma got to keep his name LMAO
Why Yes they overthrow the Capitol again. Frankly, with these people i don't think any other ending is possible.
With more character specific stuff though, i only have some that i have real concrete ideas for. I don't watch everyone so if people who do watch the ones i miss/have not much on have ideas i'd love to hear them!!
Bdubs:
From district 10, he was the one who lowkey revolutionized the games by winning using expert camouflage - a technique that was more finesse focused and less strength, something that what was not expected.
That gave a hell of a lot of hope to other tributes though in following games, and made the career districts hate him because it was 'cowardly'.
During his games he would always sleep at night, and due to the aforementioned skill was able to usually get a solid 8 hours. People poked fun at this during the post game interviews, and it became a running joke associated with him to the public.
Reality is though, that Bdubs knew that people fuck up the most when they're sleep deprived. District 10 has 19 thousand people and one million livestock. He Has Seen The Consequences Of Not Good Enough Sleep. Being better rested then everyone else on top of knowing how to go without food, keep hidden and let the others tear each other apart was how he won.
Cubfan:
From district 6 and dreams of using the vast amount of technology at their hands to actually venture out into space instead of like. working on fucking trains
Capitol often has him working in district 3 because he's "wasted" in district 6, which has Cub internally seethe.
Docm77:
From district 3 and frankly, he should not have survived his games. Literally won because his opponent bled to death faster than him.
His eye and arm were destroyed during that final fight, and his stylist thought it would be "fun" to make his prosthetics reminiscent of his district, without actually asking for his input on the matter.
As one of the older victors he had to deal with the Capitol back when there was less victors, and the Capitol was more than willing to subjugate the ones they had to their whims.
Yeah sorry your son got experimented on. yeah sorry they decided his games weren't memorable enough for a gimmick and decided his post games looks worked better. yeah sorry about that.
He and Cub hang out together :)
Ethos:
Realistically he should be from district 3 or 5, but since he's Canadian i want to put him in district 7 so bad.
ICONIC Hunger games. Literally in the top 10 for reviewability according to people from the Capitol :) meanwhile that hunger games has Ethos running around both in a completely delirious freaked out state and also like. completely detached? A hell mess of dissociation and too much being in the moment
He deployed a ton of traps that would kill without him actually having to be there, and contraptions that would get him resources. Dude was constantly on the move, and was like a busy bee. The way he kept spectators on their feet at home, and generated massive amount of hype for what he did next, was the only reason the game makers let him do this shit.
His eye was injured but not wholly ripped out like Doc, so when his got repaired his stylist decided dying his iris red would be a fun reminder of his 'deadly gaze' :)
False:
From district 2, False volunteered for the games as she was the most eligible girl in her years. Career district go brrr
Still the Queen of Hearts and Bodyparts, except she got that title when she accidentally disemboweled someone right on top of her trying to kill her. yeah she had to smile at the post games interview when they played that and try not to remember how warm the blood was, how it got into her mouth, how she could feel organs and see spine.
Unlike the others who try to distance themselves from the game, False usually tries to mentor. False knows she's capable and able - knows her district produces girls who fight exactly like her, so she's the best to tell them how to direct it.
Each one that comes home is a triumph, but for the ones that don't she remembers. Tries to learn from their deaths to provide better, but carries it with her and it's starting to make her bitter.
okay wow this is getting long, i can do a part 2 if you'd like for Scar, Grian, Gem, Etc !!
#hermitcraft#hermitcraft hunger games au#bdoubleo100#cubfan135#docm77#ethoslab#falsesymmetry#i wanna draw this au so bad#i have so many thoughts esp about cleo (actually died in the arena for a brief moment)#and grian (fave of the capitol who is Actively Plotting Their Downfall)

The Last HOPE: REAL ID Act and RFID - Privacy and Legal Implications (Complete)
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a practical and useful technology for locating items without the requisite close proximity as needed with older technology, such as bar codes. However, new technologies such as RFID "powder," internal and external pre-crime detectors, and insertion into children's clothing and other personal items have pros and cons associated with the practicality of its use. In addition, RFID use in access control, identification documents, and banking cards, while convenient and illegal to jam, may lack important security features to prevent unauthorized scanning and usage of the data contained. The REAL ID Act mandates using RFID in ID cards that most Americans should carry for domestic airline travel and must carry for international travel. This discussion will examine current RFID technology and security concerns as well as how the RFID technology implemented in REAL ID Act cards and passports may pose privacy and security risks.
Your Government is forcing you to get a Real ID. Better learn about it.

We're halfway through disability pride month and I want to bring something up that many of us don't know or don't think about.
We know that the medical system, at least here in the US, is not very disability-friendly. Have you ever wondered where that starts? Why so many docs do this bullshit?
Medical education is incredibly hostile towards their own students with disabilities.
It's such a problem that the American Medical Association has written ethical discussions about this only two years ago. Schools may say they are inclusive/want to foster diversity via disability status, but in practice, most only do the bare minimum required legally. They also cultivate a culture that does not respect disabilities- including not just physical disabilities such as mobility limitations and limb differences but psychological and learning disabilities and chronic health conditions.
We, as medical students, are told indirectly through policies + para- and non-verbal communication that disabilities are burdensome and do not belong in medicine. Our accommodations are given in accordance to law, not out of desire to create an inclusive environment. Psychological disabilities are still heavily stigmatized to the point that when potential students apply, they are nearly universally advised against disclosure. Once accepted, accommodations for reasonable time off for adequate rest, access to private spaces for medical telehealth appointments, time off for required in-person appointments, and even during learning, accommodations like extra time on tests or taking exams in private areas to reduce distraction are seen as "unfair advantaged." Being able to act "abled" as much as possible may not be an outwardly spoken goal, but the subtext in conversation is that if there is something we as disabled students can do to make everybody else more comfortable around us and seem "less" disabled, we should do that.
Physical disabilities that are common enough that most people reasonably accommodate for them- such as being deaf or HOH or blind- are not viewed favorably even when assistive technology gets them up to technical standards. A deaf/HOH physician can use specialized stethoscopes to visualize sound patterns, or they may use an amplifier that can bluetooth to hearing aids or cochlear implants, but they are still experience push-back for not being able to use "regular" stethoscopes.
When disabilities cannot be accommodated, the language and tone used sends the message that the person with the disability is wrong or unfit. Programs do not take often accountability for having inaccessible facilities or policies.
The "hidden curriculum" in medical education is that people with disabilities are burdens. Difficult to accommodate. And that we should make ourselves and our needs as small as possible. For those of us with disabilities- we learn internalized ableism even if we didn't come in with much.
Why would doctors, trained in an ableist environment, trained to view disabilities as burdens and accommodations as unfair, treat YOU, their disabled patient, with dignity and respect?
Disability inclusion is needed at every single step to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all.

Current Events
This year continued to be A Lot and we decided to ensure that there were charities that directly addressed current events. Folded into this post are groups that work for aid targeting every natural disaster as well as man-made ones, climate change, the ongoing pandemic of gun violence, and more. If you're looking for an organization that directly addresses any of those, this is your spotlight post.
For more information on donation methods and accepted currencies, please refer to our list of organizations page.
ALA "Unite Against Book Bans" Campaign
This campaign run by the American Library Association is the best way to fight against the book bans happening in several U.S. states. This fight is more crucial than ever; in 2022, the ALA recorded the highest number of censorship attempts in the past 20 years. The initiative works to halt the spread of censorship in school and public libraries across the U.S., empower individuals to fight censorship in their communities, and preserve our right to choose what to read.
Clean Air Task Force
As we've seen for a long time now but especially this year with constant natural disasters and alarming news from all over the world, climate change is real and we need to do something about it. Over the past 25 years, CATF, a group of climate and energy experts who think outside the box to solve the climate crisis, has pushed for technology innovations, legal advocacy, research, and policy changes. Their goal is to achieve a zero-emissions, high-energy planet at an affordable cost.
Direct Relief
Direct Relief provides humanitarian relief regardless of politics, religious or ethnic identities, or ability to pay and prepares the most vulnerable communities worldwide for more frequent, destructive emergencies. When disasters strike, they respond effectively and efficiently to provide requested medical equipment, medicine, and supplies to locally run healthcare facilities and projects.
Electronic Freedom Foundation
The leading nonprofit defending civil liberties in digital spaces, EFF champions user privacy, free expression, and innovation through impact litigation, policy analysis, grassroots activism, and technology development. They fight against online censorship and illegal surveillance, advocate for net neutrality and data protection, and more so that technology supports freedom, justice, and innovation for everyone.
International Rescue Committee
Founded in 1933, the IRC is a long-standing trusted partner in supporting those whose lives have been upended by sudden violence, political or natural. They are no stranger to areas of disaster and conflict throughout the world as they currently work in 40 countries. The IRC provides emergency aid and long-term assistance, including refugee settlement, and focuses on health, education, economic well-being, empowerment, and safety.
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)
Odds are you’ve heard of MSF, the global organization that sends trained medical professionals to the places they’re needed most. MSF has been working globally for over 50 years, providing medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare—no matter what. They’re guided by principles of independence, impartiality, and neutrality to global political policies or movements.
National Disaster Search Dog Foundation
This organization rescues, trains, and places abused or abandoned dogs with first responders at no cost to rescue humans in disasters. Search dogs are one of the best resources for locating survivors buried under wreckage, and this is a great solution for dogs whose personalities might make them unsuitable as family pets but ideal for search and rescue.
Partners In Health
Founded by Paul Farmer when he was still in medical school, PIH is committed to bringing exceptional health care to every corner of the planet. PIH also works to provide access to food, transportation, housing, and other key components of healing to the most vulnerable. Their work started in Haiti but has expanded rapidly across the globe.
RIP Medical Debt
Over 100 million Americans (one in three) are struggling with paying off medical bills. COVID has only added to those numbers, putting people under significant financial burden and emotional distress. This organization buys up medical debt in order to forgive it with no tax consequences to donors or recipients. Donate just $1 and you wipe out $100 of someone's medical debt, $100 to get rid of $10,000 in debt, and so on—the ripple effect is real. Through their work, RIP Medical Help not only helps with financial relief but also brings attention to the need for a more compassionate, transparent, equitable, and affordable healthcare system.
Transgender Law Center
Transgender Law Center, the largest trans-specific and trans-led organization in the U.S., changes law, policy, and attitudes so that all people can live safely and authentically and free from discrimination regardless of their gender identity or expression. Through its precedent-setting litigation victories and community-driven programs, TLC protects the rights of transgender and gender nonconforming people in areas spanning employment, prison conditions, education, immigration, healthcare, and more.
Violence Policy Center
Named "the most effective…anti-gun rabble-rouser in Washington” by none other than its opponent, the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Violence Policy Center has a long and proven record of policy successes on stopping gun violence. The VPC informs the public about the impact of gun violence, exposes the profit-driven marketing and lobbying activities of the firearms industry and gun lobby, offers expertise to policymakers, organizations, and advocates on the federal, state, and local levels, and more.
Waterkeeper Alliance
In 1966, this movement was started by a band of blue-collar fishermen pushing back against industrial polluters, and their tough spirit remains intact through the 300+ local community groups that make up the global Waterkeeper Alliance today. The Alliance works to ensure, preserve, and protect clean and abundant water for all people and creatures. Their programs are diverse, spanning from patrolling waterways against polluters to advocating for environmental laws in courtrooms and town halls and educating in classrooms.
World Central Kitchen
Started by Chef José Andrés, WCK makes sure that people are fed in the wake of natural disasters. Their programs advance human and environmental health, offer access to professional culinary training, create jobs, and improve food security. WCK also teaches food safety and cooking classes to native people who live where disasters have occurred, so they may open restaurants and support the local economy more permanently. You can follow where WCK is currently on the ground assisting and feeding people affected by natural and man-made crises here.

A small mountain community in the Peruvian Andes has won a victory that could echo across Latin America.
In a historic ruling, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights has charged the Peruvian government with violating its people’s right to a healthy environment by allowing a century-old metal smelter to contaminate the community of La Oroya. In its scathing decision, the Court found that the government “was aware of these high levels of contamination” yet chose not to take appropriate actions to prevent it, “nor to provide care for persons who had acquired diseases” caused by the pollution.
La Oroya is perched over 12,000 feet high in the Andes along the banks of the River Mantaro – a river so polluted with lead and arsenic that one local called it “a dead river.” Huge swaths of the surrounding mountains have been cleaved for mining, and pollution from the smelter has killed much of the area’s vegetation. Yet generations of locals still live here, fighting to maintain their homes and health.
Residents of La Oroya, Peru, photographed in 2008 near the the smelter complex that has made the city one of the most polluted places on earth. (Ernesto Benavides / AFP via Getty)
Since the smelter began operating in 1922, the people of La Oroya have been exposed to extreme levels of lead and other harmful contaminants, including arsenic, cadmium, and sulfur dioxide. At one point, 99% of children under 6 years old in La Oroya tested had lead levels known to cause severe health harms. Many residents suffer from developmental and behavioral disorders, cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory illness, and cancer, among many other health issues.
Peruvian researchers and La Oroya locals who tried to disseminate information about the smelter’s toxic impacts were harassed and intimidated. In the absence of government action, the Latin America-based environmental legal group the Inter-American Association for Environmental Defense (AIDA), with the support of Earthjustice, began advocating for the people of La Oroya. In 2006, AIDA and Earthjustice, together with other groups, filed a petition against the Peruvian government at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. AIDA and APRODEH, a Peruvian human rights organization, represented families from La Oroya in the proceedings.
In the 15 years it took the complaint to get before the Court, the Peruvian government repeatedly gave the smelter’s owner, Doe Run Peru (a subsidiary of the U.S.-based Renco Group, Inc), free leave to emit massive levels of air pollution that frequently went well beyond Peruvian regulations and World Health Organization standards for air quality. Since the government sold the plant in 1997, Doe Run Peru was given special exemptions from complying with environmental laws until it could install much needed technology to control pollution. Later, despite the company repeatedly failing to install these controls, the government granted extension after extension allowing the company to continue operating and polluting.
Doe Run Peru eventually declared bankruptcy and creditors later sold the smelter to its local workers in La Oroya – potentially transferring its environmental liability onto the people it had poisoned.
