Name: Whitenoise
Age: 3.95 million years
Gender: Female
Faction: Autobots
Assigned Forces: Autobot Aerial Command(during The war), Iacon Security Bureau(post war)
Role: Search and surveying, Attack coordination.
Motto: "if you stand tall enough, evil will have nowhere to hide. "
Personality: Whitenoise is a bot filled to The brim with The sense of justice. If she caught wind of any plot of evil, no matter the conspirators' species or allegiance, Whitenoise will dig to The heart of it and report The evidence to the ones that can act against it, such as the Autobot command. As someone that never pamper on herself or others, she would constantly search for mistakes to correct, but she seems to often overlook her singlemindedness and sometimes being overconfident.
Alternate mode: Whitnoise transforms into a white Antonov An-71 AWACS Aircraft with a Blue stripe down The middle of The fuselage, engine and front edge of The wing and vertical stablizer, and an Autobot insignia where The normal An-71/72's national flag would be.
Appearance: Whitenoise is around 12.4m tall, with a transformation scheme similar to a combination between G1 Jetfire and WFC Air raid and her head sculpt was similar to G1 Rust Dust with retractable battle mask and protective visor, and her main color scheme is white with Blue deco, visor and photoreceptors.
Weaponry: Whitnoise has an average strength but rather high intelligence. In jet form, she can fly at mach4 on 350km altitude while simultaneous tracking up to 15 objects that are as small as 3cm across with a relative speed within mach5 and within 1200km distance; while simultaneously guiding The allies' attack on ground targets. She is also equipped with IFF Systems That can automatically recognize if the being is hostile or not, and an implanted Signal jammer which can disrupt enemy Signal transmitter and even stun enemies in both modes. She is also equipped with a silenced pistol and a electro pulse carbine for self defenses.
Character Biography: Whitenoise of Kaon was a forged point one percenter. Before war, she was an supervision assistance of The Telecommunications Center of Iacon where she would often notice data leaks and security breaches that seems to be under surveillance by outside source, with some clients whose data was leaked disappearing shortly afterwards, she decided to conduct an investigation, which she quickly established a connection towards her coworker Algorithmaster who seems to be living more than his salary should allow.
Unfortunately, her snooping was noticed by Algorithmaster, who naturally panicked, and almost immediately decided to try and deal with The problem by directly disposing of the one who is about to discover it. So he hired several of his connections, including Lockdown(who at The time was just a gang Hitman and kidnapper-for-hire and not the famous bounty hunter he would become), spark brothers Secondcount and timereckon(hired thug for Senate, transforms into pickup trucks, timereckon was later killed by Orion pax when the brothers tried to assassinate him, while Secondcount became a Decepticon genericon who was killed by a vengeful bot post war whose partner was kidnapped by him), and Staxx(Velocitron exile who acts as getaway driver here) and bulletbike(who was an enforcer for one of the crime family's loan sharks), who jumped Whitenoise when she went off work and assisted Alogrithmaster in paralyzing her with his junk data before bringing her to The apartment of another bot named Motormount(a Neutral who transforms into a station wagon, and owed money to bulletbike's boss and was forced to do favors for them) where several other thugs were several other thugs were guarding her until Algorithmaster can break through her mental defenses and wipe her mind with the assistance of The Institute.
However, the ruckus(not that one) had attracted unwanted attention which led a group of police and security officers including Orion pax, Strongarm, wheelarch, Bumper and stungun to raid the apartment. During The subsequent firefight, Algorithmaster used his power to scramble the officers' brainwave in orders to impede their advancement, although it didn't succeed in doing so and the law enforcement officers neutralized and incarcerated most of The hired goons(save for bulletbike who fled or Lockdown and Staxx who was only hired for The kidnapping and wasn't present at the apartment).
However, when they moved in in an attempt to capture Algorithmaster and Secondcount and timereckon, Algorithmaster would use his power to fully incapacitate The officers and orders The two bodyguards to kill them, while Orion pax and Strongarm, who resisted the attack and attempted to keep fighting were stabbed by his arm blades and injected with paralyzing toxin.
However, Whitenoise, who was restrained to a chair and kept in a trance like state by Algorithmaster with his junk data, which was mostly redirected towards The officers, managed to muster up enough strength to activate her jet engine and wings, and used them to propel both herself and her wing forward, and slammed the combined weight of herself and The metal chair into Algorithmaster's back, which not only snapped both of his Antennas, but also knocked him out cold and The wings swept the two accomplices over, although The impact also caused massive damage to herself.
And after she was rescued but disappointed by The coverup on The matter, Whitnoise joined Orion Pax's group of renegade in overthrowing the Senate in less violent means and later joined the Autobots after the Kaon Riots and downfall of the Senate and after the end of the great war and Megatron's surrendering and incarceration, she became a member of The Iacon security Bureau, although she would soon learn that Algorithmaster, the one who had The attempt on her life all those years ago, is still alive and now at large commiting crimes, she embarked on a crusade to bring him to justice.
Weakness: Whitenoise's overconfidence and impulsiveness makes her more likely to be at a disadvantage against more astute enemies, while her constant singlemindedness would sometimes lead her straight towards a trap.
Commentary: some of my friends who were also Transformers fans commented that she seems like the kind to "glimmer and sparkle with justice" and "would strike a JoJo like pose" when i first wrote this Character and i feel like It's very fitting.

Are High-Paying Jobs A Reality for Accountants?
Introduction
Accounting, often deemed the language of business, offers a plethora of career opportunities. However, a burning question lingers: Are high-paying jobs a reality for accountants? In this blog post, we will unravel the layers of the accounting profession, exploring the diverse avenues that lead to lucrative careers. From traditional roles to emerging opportunities in the digital age, let's delve into the factors that determine an accountant's earning potential and the strategies to secure those coveted high-paying positions.
Traditional High-Paying Roles
Traditionally, accountants have been crucial assets for businesses, managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and offering strategic financial advice. Roles such as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and Chartered Accountants (CAs) have been associated with substantial earning potential. These professionals navigate complex tax laws, conduct audits, and advise businesses on financial decisions, commanding high salaries due to their specialized skills and expertise. In India, CPAs earn up to Rs 8,00,000, while in the USA Indian CPAs can earn a minimum of $60, 000 (INR 50,00,000)
Other High Paying Accounting Jobs Are:
CMA: Certified Management Accountant
The CMA certification, awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), emphasizes financial planning, analysis, and control. CMAs are instrumental in strategic financial decision-making within organizations. Their expertise in cost management, budgeting, and performance evaluation makes them highly sought after, leading to substantial salaries. CMAs often occupy roles such as financial managers, controllers, or management consultants, earning competitive compensation due to their strategic financial insights. The average salary for CMAs in India is 5-6 Lakhs PA.
CFA: Chartered Financial Analyst
This designation, offered by the CFA Institute, focuses on investment analysis and portfolio management. CFAs are experts in assessing financial markets, managing investments, and analyzing investment risks. Their proficiency in financial modeling, asset valuation, and investment strategy makes them indispensable for investment firms, asset management companies, and financial advisory services. CFAs often secure high-paying roles as investment analysts, portfolio managers, or research analysts, commanding substantial salaries in the finance industry. The average salary of a CFA in India is around Rs. 9 lakhs PA.
FRM: Financial Risk Managers
Financial Risk Managers, certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), specialize in identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks within organizations. FRMs are instrumental in risk mitigation, ensuring businesses navigate uncertainties effectively. Their expertise in areas such as credit risk, market risk, and operational risk positions them as essential assets in the banking, insurance, and corporate sectors. FRMs often work as risk analysts, risk managers, or compliance officers, earning high salaries due to their critical role in safeguarding financial stability. The average salary for FRMs in India is 4-6 Lakhs PA.
Emerging Opportunities in the Digital Era
In the digital age, accountants are not just number crunchers; they are data analysts, financial consultants, and technology experts. High-paying jobs now extend to areas such as forensic accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and management accounting. Furthermore, accountants proficient in business analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) are in high demand, contributing to the rise of FinTech companies and driving innovation in the finance sector.
Demand for Indian Accountants in the USA:
Highlighting the present shortage of accountants in the US, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a substantial 5.6% growth in accountants’ job openings from 2021 to 2031. This forecast underscores the urgency of nurturing a new generation of accounting professionals (CPA/CMA/CFA/FRM) to bridge the gap left by the retiring workforce.
At Miles Education, we offer a comprehensive and cutting-edge MAcc (Masters in Accounting) program that equips Indian accounting professionals with the knowledge, skills, and international exposure needed to excel in the US accounting landscape. A notable advantage of our MAcc program is that it allows Indian students to become eligible for employment in the US for a period of 3 years, broadening their horizons and opening up new opportunities on a global scale.
Conclusion:
In India, accounting experts like CPAs, CMAs, CFAs, or FRMs typically earn between 6-10 LPA, whereas in the United States, their earnings can reach up to $60,000, roughly 50 lakhs in Indian Rupees. This significant income highlights the robust demand for accountants, ensuring attractive pay and job security in both nations.

film reviews: Office Romance (1977 Soviet film)
Today I watched Office Romance (1977), a romantic comedy film by Eldar Ryazanov. The film is based on the stageplay Co-workers, written by Ryazanov and Emil Braginsky.
Synopsis: Clumsy but wellmeaning Anatoly works at the statistical bureau and struggles to provide for his two son with his meagre salary. He fears and hates his boss, the unmarried director Ms. Kalugina, who is strict and dowdy and displays no personality during work hours, and bad-mouths her as do the rest of the employees at the bureau, who call her Meany and Hag behind her back. When Anatoly’s old schoolfriend Yuri joins the company as the new vice-director, he suggests Anatoly to try seducing Ms. Kalugina, and invites them both to a party that night. Anatoly gets trunk and clumsily tries to flirt with his boss, but when she rebuffs all his advances he yells at her all the negative things he thinks about her. When he tries to apologize the next day at work she bursts into tears, and he realizes she has a soft side to her, and begins falling for her for real. Thus begins an office romance between two clumsy people.
Review: The film is part comedy and part drama, but the comedy parts are very funny. The humor is mostly character-based with a little situational humor and slapstick thrown in as well. I especially like the side character Shura, who is always crusading for one noble cause after another and always pestering the other employees for donations, and the incidents she causes through that. The film has some romcom tropes, such as the female lead dressing dowdy at the beginning but getting a makeover later on, true love sprouting from an intial fake wooing, and an Act Three fight that ends in a makeout, but the character writing is also intelligent, something that’s often not found in Western romcoms. Overall it’s a very good film I recommend watching. You can watch it on YouTube here.

Oh then, can I request the prowlstar one where Prowl has to work in Starscream's administration? If Starscream's gonna lead at least Prowl is gonna make sure things don't go to hell.
I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks!
Title: 9-To-5AM Continuity: IDW1 Rating: Teen Relationship: Prowl/Starscream Characters: Prowl & Starscream Warnings: Canon divergence, vaguely suggestive situation Summary: In which Prowl finds he rather likes his new job and unfortunately also his new boss. Crossposting: In a reblog. Fic under cut.
Prowl hadn’t been sure what to do when Optimus expelled him from the Autobots, after his so-called “betrayal.” It hadn’t even been a possibility that had occurred to him, so he had never taken it into his calculations. The rending of the surface layer of his armor plating when his Autobrand had been physically revoked all those weeks ago still echoed in his processor, even now as he sat at a new, sturdy desk in one of Iacon’s refurbished administration buildings, centrally located within Metroplex’s frame.
What he’d certainly never been expected was Starscream, of all mechs, offering him a job.
Of course, it made sense. Starscream was no fool. He was running a new, nominally “neutral” administration as the legally elected ruler of the planet. He needed the most experienced and competent functionaries to make everything go smoothly. Riots and mayhem and chaos would do him no favors. It would go without saying that he would be ready to headhunt and recruit valuable personnel, regardless of prior faction affiliation. No sense letting skilled potential subordinates go to waste.
If Optimus wanted to throw away millions of years of Prowl’s unerring loyalty, then Prowl would simply take practical advantage of his free agent status. It wasn’t his fault that Optimus had decided to be blind, to not see the big picture. If Starscream was willing to see it, then Prowl could learn to work with that. Prowl was, if nothing else, adaptable.
It wasn’t just about defeating and eliminating the Decepticons—a moot point now anyway that had really only ever been the superficial goal—it was about Cybertron’s well-being.
The fuel warmer on the corner of Prowl’s desk, nestled between datapads and light-pen holders, beeped cheerfully, telling him that his hot beverage was ready.
And besides, after all, Starscream’s offer was sensible, despite being delivered publicly in a grand gesture. Prowl had been dragged out of his less-than-ideal hiding place, plopped in front of Starscream’s garish, gaudy throne. Instead of being executed for supposed crimes against the state, he was given a job.
Good salary with periodic retention bonuses. Excellent benefits. Nice office with a modest plaque stating “Head of Intelligence Bureau.” Centrally-located apartment approval to minimize his commute. Access to the burgeoning, non-factional informant network that was being developed. Prowl could even add some of his prior Autobot contacts, of flexible affiliation, of course, to the network to boost it. His record had even been wiped clean.
Best of all, Starscream had explicitly included the removal of wanted posters with his face on them in the offer, revoking his fugitive status.
Now Prowl was doing what he had wanted to do all along, behind all of the schemes, behind all of the secrecy, behind all of the projects, behind all of it. Now Prowl was working for the betterment and safety of Cybertron.
It had just been a shame that Optimus couldn’t see it and that the one mech who could… was Starscream.
The curtains behind Prowl were drawn over the large windows looking out onto the city’s skyscape at night. There was no need to work this late anymore, but old habits were hard to break.
It wasn’t like he had any reason to be at home anyway.
He lived alone. His best friend was dead. Most of his former comrades wanted nothing to do with him. Even Ironhide, who headed Starscream’s security division, only begrudgingly worked with him out of necessity. The Constructicons had, although reluctantly, turned their collective backs on him when Scoop replaced him in their gestalt.
He reached out, pouring himself a mug of warmed, stimulant-infused fuel from the carafe. With nothing but the blue glow of his optics and the purple light of the fuel itself to guide him, the only thing preventing a spill in the darkened office was his skill at working in conditions like this.
There was… one other reason that kept him here at these hours. A, perhaps, self-indulgent reason.
There came a sharp, rapid knock on the door, one that Prowl had come to know well in recent weeks.
“Come in.”
The door slipped away into its recess in the wall. White and red seeker wings slid into view as the door retreated.
Starscream stepped into the office without fanfare. In the daylight hours, this would be odd as the self-styled emperor loved drawing attention to himself, but late at night, Prowl appreciated the relatively subdued visit. Apparently Starscream was also a night owl, preferring to stay up through the dark hours to work. It was a strange sort of common ground they had found with each other, a point for a growing sense of kinship.
At first, Prowl had been disgusted with himself, when he had started looking forward to these quiet hours spent discussing intelligence reports. Starscream had plenty of insight to share, both generally and the specifics he brought from having been intimately familiar with the inner workings of his former faction. Yet from one mind with a million machinations to another, there was something unsettlingly comforting in being known and understood.
“You know your fixed salary exempts you from overtime pay, Prowl,” he said, leaning a hand on the desk in a relatively uncluttered spot. Oddly, neither of them had moved to turn on the lights.
Over time that disgust had faded away, leaving only the strange warmth of what… what Prowl thought might have been friendship. Or maybe…. Had Starscream always held his wings like that? His own doors fluttered on involuntary impulse.
“Enemies never sleep, Starscream,” Prowl said, optics dropping to that hand on his desk before tracking the motion of the seeker swanning around the side to approach his chair in the dark. “You know that—“
“True. Sleep is for the weak.” Even in a whisper, Starscream’s voice was sharp but not unpleasant. “Luckily neither of us sleep.”

How To Start A Lucrative Career In Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is an in-demand field. Growing cyber attacks, demand for safe and secure data, and other concerns mean that companies need professionals to keep their information safe.
It’s a financially lucrative one as well: “Cybersecurity professionals report an average salary of $116,000, or approximately $55.77 per hour. That's nearly three times the national median income for full-time wage and salary workers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.” (source)
But many cybersecurity professionals aren’t doing it for the paycheck alone. It’s a role that comes with an incredible amount of responsibility and brings immense value to an organization.
Moreover, there are lots of opportunities in government agencies and defense/aerospace firms for cybersecurity professionals. Also financial services - think industries with classified or private data. However, all kinds of companies are looking for cybersecurity professionals nowadays.
youtube
1. Don’t specialize just in security
The best security professionals have well-rounded experience in tech work. Sean Tierney, head of the cyber intelligence team at Infoblox, says, "The thing that will make you good at security is that you are great at something else first. For example, become a master of the fundamentals of data networks, be an expert at administering multiple operating systems or be proficient at multiple scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)."
If you’re coming to cybersecurity from another sector of technical work, Tierney’s colleague Rod Rasmussen, VP of CyberSecurity at Infoblox, has tips for switching over: "If you’re already in IT, then spend time studying up on network security, dealing with endpoint hygiene, or whatever is related to the work you’re already doing. You will find that you will become "the security guru" in your office pretty quick by doing that and from there, the transition becomes a lot easier."
2. Sometimes it’s who you know--so network
This is something that’s true across industries. Tierney says, "Professional networking. Get to know as many people in the industry as you can. Get involved in open source or community projects. Another thing often overlooked in networking is offering to help others more than you ask for help."
In-person networking is ideal: get involved in meetups, attend conferences, ask for tips over coffee with current security professionals of local tech companies. If these things aren’t possible, online networking is a good idea too.
3. Not in tech yet? Start by studying up on IT basics
Rasmussen advises, "If you aren’t in the IT space at all, start with learning IT fundamentals. We’ve seen this as necessary for even folks like FBI or other law enforcement officers who have the investigatory or ‘finding bad guys’ part down really well. That will serve you well in cyber, but regardless of your background, you need those building block fundamentals in IT in order to create an effective new career in cybersecurity."
To gain these skills, check out technical and community colleges near you for night courses. "Most of those, particularly those that provide network management courses, offer good courses in security basics," says Rasmussen. You can also look into online courses through websites like edX that feature top courses from real universities.

Companies Give Worker Training Another Try
A tight labour market forces businesses to spend more to develop their employees’ skills
Economists love worker training, but companies are often reluctant to provide it. The benefits of training can walk out the door if newly skilled workers are poached by a competitor. “I call it the ‘I drink your milkshake’ problem,” says Jake Schwartz, chief executive officer and co-founder of General Assembly, a computer-coding boot camp acquired this year by Switzerland-based staffing firm Adecco Group AG. In the years before the global financial crisis, companies steadily decreased training. The U.S. Census Bureau found that just 11 percent of workers received employer-sponsored training in 2008, down from 19 percent in 1996. When the financial crisis hit, throwing millions out of work, training seemed less important than ever: Why spend the money when you can pick up the skills you need from the bountiful ranks of the jobless?
Now, though, corporate attitudes appear to be shifting, albeit gradually. While the Census Bureau hasn’t reprised its count of employer-provided training since 2008, the Association for Talent Development, in a survey focused mainly on advanced economies, found that direct training expenditures rose from $1,081 per employee in 2009 (the first year of the survey) to $1,273 in 2016. The U.S. ranks near the top of the global heap, with 66 percent of workers receiving training from employers in the past year, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (see chart).
Near-record-low unemployment is one big reason companies are recommiting to training. With a U.S. jobless rate of just 3.7 percent in September and more than 7 million unfilled positions as of August, employers can’t find the people they need in the ranks of the jobless, and luring them away from other employers has gotten prohibitively expensive in some cases. “Your choice is always make or buy. ‘Buy’ is steal somebody else’s worker, which requires higher wages,” says Anthony Carnevale, founder and director of Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce.
Fifty-five percent of U.S. employers surveyed by ManpowerGroup this year said they were providing additional training to cope with talent shortages, followed by 40 percent who said they were recruiting outside their traditional talent pool. Only 26 percent said they were offering higher salaries.
Rapidly changing job requirements also demand more training. Just a few years ago experts were predicting that computers and robots would soon make flesh-and-blood workers obsolete. Someday, perhaps, but for now the main effect of automation has been to force humans to develop new skills to work with intelligent machines, rather than for them. “All of a sudden you look up and you say, ‘Oh, we still do need workers,’ ” says Jacob Duritsky, vice president for strategy and research at Team NEO, an economic development organisation for northeastern Ohio.
Employers are discovering that becoming a learning organisation is a good way to fend off headhunters. Especially now, with change happening so quickly, workers will stick with a company that helps them continuously upgrade their skills, says Bill Priemer, CEO of Hyland Software Inc. in Westlake, Ohio. In a survey this year by LinkedIn Inc., 94 percent of employees said they would stay at a company longer if it invested in their career development.
That’s not to say all training is good. A lot of employers teach “tightly specified, highly standardised tasks” that will soon be taken over by computers, says John Hagel, co-chairman of the Center for the Edge, a unit of Deloitte LLP that researches business and technology. Hagel says companies should instead be drawing out employees’ “curiosity, imagination, creativity, emotional intelligence, social intelligence,” which are harder for machines to replicate.
There’s also a tussle over who should do the training: employers or schools. Community colleges are often willing to tailor curricula to employers’ needs, but even they balk at teaching specific tasks that will be useful to just one or two businesses. Executives, meanwhile, complain that the U.S. educational system is pumping out unqualified graduates. In a recent survey of OECD nations, U.S. millennials scored lower than their peers in 15 of 22 countries in literacy and were tied for last in numeracy and “problem solving in a technology-rich environment,” according to an analysis of the results by the Educational Testing Service. Employers often have to provide remedial training for entry-level workers in areas such as basic math.
Because worker training benefits the society as a whole, not just the individual employer, there’s an economic case that government should provide it directly or at least subsidise it. Yet in the U.S., public spending on labour markets (which includes unemployment benefits) has fallen from 0.8 percent of gross domestic product in 1985 to 0.3 percent in 2016, according to OECD data. In July, President Trump signed an executive order creating a Council of the American Worker and directing funds to apprenticeships and retraining for older workers without college degrees. On the other hand, the current administration sought—but failed to secure—a 40 percent cut in funding for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, the biggest federal worker retraining programme. Achieving the right balance between public and private is tricky. Thijs van Rens, an economist at Britain’s University of Warwick, says his research with colleague Roland Rathelot and others finds that public funding for training is largely a giveaway to employers. Singapore offers a model of how to combine the two. It subsidises qualifying companies that provide training through its new SkillsFuture initiative, but the grants don’t cover the full cost. That discourages companies from offering sham training just to get money from the government.
Anna Lim, the founder and majority owner of Soup Spoon Pte, which owns 30 restaurants in Singapore, says she had to have her instructors certified and her training results regularly audited to get SkillsFuture to pick up part of the tab. Does she worry that other companies that don’t train will free-ride on her investment? Not much. “In Singapore right now we have stopped thinking like that,” she says. “At the end of the day it’s about uplifting the skill set of the whole industry. We have to be broad-minded.” To upgrade the world’s workforce for the skills of the future, the ideal environment is what economists call a high-trust equilibrium: Each employer invests in training because it’s confident others will do likewise. We’re not quite there yet. Peter Coy

11 trend predictions: How will AI affect human careers?
2017 is considered to be a year in which AI has begun to receive great attention on a global scale. Almost every day, there is related news: Google parent company Alphabet has publicly tested driverless cars, and Ali announced that it has invested 100 billion to establish Dharma, Baidu robots entering KFC and so on.
I combined the new 10-year forecast report recently released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics Latest Numbers, the 2017 Research Report on Supply and Demand and Development of Artificial Intelligence Employment Markets, and the release of Michael Page (China). The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Report and other related papers and media reports on the issue of how artificial intelligence will affect human work, summarizing 11 items, mainly for the Chinese and American markets.
(1)Salary in the field of AI, which is 1% of the top of the pyramid
According to the Global White Paper on Artificial Intelligence, jointly published by Tencent Research Institute and BOSS, there are about 300,000 talents in the global AI field, and the market demand is in the order of millions. Among them, there are about 100,000 people in the field of higher education and about 200,000 people in the industry. There are 367 higher education institutions with artificial intelligence research directions in the world, and about 20,000 students graduated from the AI field each year, far from meeting the market demand for talents.
Chen Hui-Jie, regional director of Michael Page (China), said that the salary competition of candidates in AI-related fields is 1% of the top of the pyramid. Many technology companies provide equity incentives for high-end talents. Some Chinese technology giants are willing to give candidates the freedom to work globally in order to attract overseas talent.
Google established a center dedicated to artificial intelligence in China half a month ago to recruit a number of positions related to artificial intelligence and machine learning, including technical director of the Machine Learning Institute and cloud machine learning product manager. In addition, Microsoft, IBM, etc. are also recruiting Chinese employees in related fields.
Relevant information shows that the starting salary of current graduates of artificial intelligence-related positions in China is basically 12.5K / month ~ 25K / month (RMB); after three years of graduation, the technical staff of artificial intelligence positions can basically double the salary. Due to the fierce competition of talents, companies will provide 30% to 50% salary increase when they compete for candidates.
(2)Data analysis is the easiest to cross-border, and the most lacking is the talent to master machine learning.
According to a survey conducted by Zhaopin Recruitment, data analysis is the most mature of all talent skill tags, accounting for up to 48%. As an "infrastructure" in the field of artificial intelligence, job seekers engaged in data analysis are the people who enter the lowest barriers in the field of artificial intelligence and are the easiest cross-border people in the field of artificial intelligence. Second, job seekers with image processing skills account for 14%; data collection skills account for 13%; machine learning talent accounts for only 6%.
(3)Talents are highly concentrated, and Huawei is the most recruited in China.
Due to the shortage of talent, the distribution of talents is highly concentrated in large companies. In fact, it is mainly a few technology giants. As far as China is concerned, the existing artificial intelligence is mainly concentrated in Huawei, Lenovo, Anglo-American, and other industrial giants, of which Huawei has the highest proportion of 30%. From a global perspective, Google has recruited nearly 50% of the industry's top artificial intelligence experts. Shenzhen Yantian Life is a company specializing in visual artificial intelligence. Wang Xiaoyu, its chief scientist and vice president of artificial intelligence, said: "In the short term, the cost of recruiting artificial intelligence talents from startups is very high. We recruited a new one in the US. Graduated from the Department of Computer Vision, with an annual salary of 300,000. 400,000 US dollars."
(4)“Unmanned Shop” is very popular and retail work will be greatly reduced
Almost all reports discussing artificial intelligence point out that future retail stores will use more machines than people. Consumers also prefer to pick, check out, and even pack. In the past year, there have been more and more attempts to “unmanned stores”, such as Wal-Mart's unmanned supermarket project for Amazon, Japan's convenience store to solve the problem of aging, and China's cashless payment store.
According to previous estimates by the World Economic Forum, 30% to 50% of global retail work will be at risk of disappearing once all current automation technologies are in use.
The most obvious is that self-service machines have been popular for more than 20 years. According to UK-based consulting firm Retail Banking Research, the number of global self-checkout machines will increase from 200,000 in 2013 to 325,000 in 2021. In the next decade, US grocery stores will reduce the number of 42,700 cashiers and packers. They are 28,800 respectively.
(5)Autopilot technology has a far less impact on driver demand than Uber, Didi
In October last year, Uber tried to get unmanned trucks to accept orders; the application of Chinese driverless buses has also been put into use. Safer, more efficient driverless can better adapt to long-distance transportation needs, especially in the case of high-speed e-commerce development.
It is predicted that 80% of truck drivers in the United States will disappear in the future - but like many reports, this prediction does not give specific implementation time.
Economists at the US Bureau of Labor Statistics believe that driverless trucks will not replace drivers soon. They predict that the number of heavy truck drivers will increase by 114,000 in the next decade.
Teri Morisi, director of career forecasting, said: "We believe that autonomous driving is far from our prediction of the truck industry. Advances in technology such as line driving and brake assist will make truck driving safer and use energy more efficiently, but they will not change. (Market) Demand for truck driving."
As for other driving jobs, the number of bus drivers in the US urban public transportation system will increase by 8.9%, while the number of taxi drivers will decrease by 41.2%, but this is more related to the development of Uber and Lyft.
(6)85% of manufacturing jobs lost in North America are due to "machines"
According to the latest ten-year forecast released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, 14 of the 20 industries with the fastest production cuts are from manufacturing, but the tobacco industry is in great demand. In addition to reducing the impact, other related to the application of the robot.
From 2000 to 2010, manufacturing employment in the United States and Canada decreased by 5.6 million, of which 85% was due to machine changes, and only 13% of jobs were taken away by developing countries with relatively low labor.
(7)Accounting and auditing that have long been seen as declining will grow in the next decade
Professor Benedikt Frey and Professor Michael A. Osborne from Oxford University published a widely cited paper in 2013 - "The Future of Employment: How susceptible are jobs to computerization” shows that "accounting and auditing" is one of the highest risk occupations, and the probability of being replaced is as high as 94%. It is very likely that the processing of accounts and audits will be completed by the program.
The good news is that this should not happen in the next decade. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of jobs in the US accounting industry will increase from 985,700 this year to 1,063,600 in 2026, and the number of "accounting and auditing" positions that account for about 36% of the industry will increase by 11.8%. It is one of the fastest growing occupations in the United States.
However, the most technically qualified typists, data input, operator and file management in the accounting industry are different. In a paperless office environment, these positions were reduced by more than 10%, with typists decreasing by 32.9%.
The decline of these professions has not only occurred in the accounting industry but in all walks of life. At the end of the paper, the two professors listed the possibility that 702 occupations were replaced by machines. Among them, telephone marketing and data input were the most likely jobs replaced by artificial intelligence, with a probability of 99%.
(8)ATM will become more and more intelligent, a machine is a branch
"At present, ATM has been able to do 90% of the work that humans can do," said Andy Mattes, CEO of Diebold, the world's largest ATM company. ATM is working hard to improve product performance and intelligence in the face of declining cash use.
The Future of Employment: How Each Career Is Affected by Automation shows that the probability of a teller position being replaced is 98%. In the next decade, the number of ATMs in US depository institutions will decrease from 444,000 to 390,000, down 12.1% year-on-year.
A large amount of mechanized work, such as collecting user information, reviewing loan information, and preparing contracts, will be automated. According to McKinsey's report, these work, which consumes 43% of the time of financial institution employees, can be done by machinery. This is the instrumentality of weak wisdom technology. Advantage.
(9)Regarding buying a house, just still listen to human suggestions.
Somewhat surprisingly, real estate agents in the service industry have been included in the “high-risk occupations” affected by automation. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of employed people in the real estate industry will decrease by 12.1% in the next decade, and the number of sales representatives and brokers will fall by 7.9%. Similar to salespeople, the unpleasant experience of buying a home makes buyers more inclined to post and view information through the website. It seems that the crisis of real estate agents is to improve the quality of service. Artificial intelligence can help homebuyers evaluate their loans and narrow their choices, which can reduce the workload of real estate agents. But for now, these jobs are unlikely to be completely replaced.
(10)In the era of AI, it is even more necessary to provide emotional and creative positions.
After artificial intelligence can do more stylized work, human energy and wisdom will play their own advantages in spiritual creation, art and culture, which is difficult to replace with artificial intelligence, such as entertainment therapists. The replacement probability is only 0.28%. Zhaopin recruits also screen positions that require creativity and emotion and finds that in the context of ideological, spiritual and creative dominance, demand will pay more attention to the value that people can release, such as how psychologists' individualized demands for patients pass. Emotional and psychological concepts are cured rather than simple psychological tests; advertising writers and creatives need to release human imagination and creativity to a greater extent than using design tools. But in these areas, some basic skills positions will also be replaced. For example, this year's "Eleven Artificial Intelligence Designer" Luban is a ready-made case. Through continuous learning and practice, mastering all the skills and styles of banner design, Luban can make 8,000 posters in one second. Therefore, human designers will contribute more creative thinking than repetitive skills.
(11)It’s not so much about being replaced, it’s better to say that skill repeating is more anxious.
For those who have not yet recruited a large number of talents, cross-industry recruitment or post-transition technical talent has become the second most ideal choice. Many large companies have also established internal training and education systems.
Graduates in the fields of physics, digital and electronics have entered the field of artificial intelligence "cross-border". Some of the technical barriers to changing industry application scenarios are not high. Cross-industry is a viable task as long as there are basic mathematics and subject knowledge.
