I’m kinda missing space mechanic Jason x alien prince Dick, so can we pretty please get more of them? Maybe their first time after Di’k has finally got Jason to agree to his advances? (Also how exactly would they... reproduce so to speak bc I can totally see Di’k having a bit a breeding kink in this au, just saying.....)

Alright, the muse is with me today, so.

After the whole kerfuffle with Jay finally understanding that the beautiful alien wants to ‘court him’ things kinda progress. Jay has problems with believing that he could be ever considered beautiful by anyone’s standards and Dick does his best to explain to him how sexual attraction works for their species. Featured like Jay’s grey curl are in high demand and Di’k can only hope they will be able to pass it on to their children one day.

Jay freaks out a bit at the notion of children. He’s young, barely out of teens himself and this is so sudden... Di’k reassures him that it’s a far future he’s talking about. 

He’s not, actually, he’d love to have his mate full of pups next week! (It never crosses his mind that Jay won’t be the one carrying their children, he’s smaller after all!) But Jay’s reaction tells him to be cautious about this subject and Di’k is not stupid, he knows that he overshot himself already and decides to get more knowledge about Jay’s species. He goes to T’mmy, because if there’s one thing his brother can be counted on in his own courtship is that he’d already compiled an extensive database about his chosen’s species;] 

And, okay, Kryptonians are a bit different than the human subspecies that Jason is, but the basics are the same. They are born with established sex and only one of them can carry pups and it doesn’t seem to change. That’s a bit of a letdown - Gt’hamites are not constrained so - once the couple bonds the smaller of them will take on necessary characteristics and become a bearer. Di’k can only hope that the bonding process will be strong enough to adjust Jay’s body... if not, he’s ready to become the bearer himself! The reason for the size split is that the bigger partner always took on a defensive role while the smaller one couldn’t protect themselves, but this time Di’k is a prince and he has protection of his family, he can sacrifice some time for pregnancy like Talia did for Damian... 

At the same time Di’k talks to T’mmy, Jay does his own research and talks to Clark and Kon, and reads the databases, and comes across much of the same information, with the exception of the full extent oft he bonding process power. He skips that part almost absentmindedly when the info about sexual characteristics comes up on the screen and, uh... okay, they are not so different, are they? Gt’hamites also have external, uh, organs - although they look a bit more, uh, agile? Similar enough for Jay to not mind the slight differences. And there’s no egg-laying or anything strange like that so that’s good, right? Just straight-up traditional penetrative sex most of the time, so it can’t be that ‘different, they can go slow, right?  The engines are still shot and it seems like they will spend a good couple years in Gt’ham before the rescue arrives, so they have the time to built on their relationship...(Because Jay wants to sleep with Di’k very much, but he’s a romantic and expects to build up to it?)

What the databases don’t mention, however, is that penetrative sex is the only sex that the Bats practice. No frottage, no hand-jobs, no oral sex, no inneocent grinding will have any effect. The way their bodies work and the bond forms, the only way for the mates to have sex is for the ‘alpha’ to mount the ‘omega’ - and that’s how it will be from then on, the smaller partner will be predisposed to being mounted while the bigger one will develop accordingly. It’s nice, structured, and makes the whole marriage an easy thing  and Di’k can’t wait to consummate their relationship and have Jay writhing underneath him, taking him in, his body accepting the fact that this will be its role form now on... (humans run a bit warmer than the Bats and Di’k is shivering at the thought of how hot Jay has to be inside, how perfect it will feel on his cock...)

It’s actually a terribly romantic thing, the moment when the mates join for the first time and their bodies and minds connect and take on their roles. It’s akin to the first kiss in a romantic novel, the moment of perfect union and understanding, separating into two haves of a perfect whole... Di’k is a romantic of epic proportions and wants this with his humanling, wants this asap. Leaving one chosen partner to wait for sex is rude and downright cruel.

Also, Jay won’t know for a while yet, but Bats have sex all the time after bonding. Being inside one’s mate/having one’s mate inside becomes a preferred state of being after a bonding and sex is always on the table.

So, they are both romantics, except their romantic ideas stand in stark opposition to one anotherxD
