I think in order to justify or rationalise Daisy's skepticism with the X-Men in the comics that's not just IvX fodder, the writers need to lean into her being a government agent for most of her adult life or tap into her first encounter with them (in Secret War) being adversarial with them

Cause anytime (especially during the 2017 Secret Warriors run) she expresses a dislike in them i just think "Daisy, you guys are fighting for the same thing, work together!" and instead she just shoots down their jet out of pettiness

Especially when Daisy's pre-SHIELD upbringing would've been identical to that of a mutant (given that there was no apparent distinction between her and mutants until she joined SHIELD)

never forget that marvel made TWO consecutive crossover events where the x-men were portrayed as being in the wrong for stuff that was totally reasonable

Except he was born between 2008-2010 so it makes zero sense for him to exist in the 90s

Who is the more powerful weather goddess? That's the question today. You've got Storm, from the X-Men, Crystal, from the Inhumans, and Stormfront, a genetically-engineered supersoldier with the ability to control the weather. Well, all three of these ladies actually control the weather. Crystal technically controls oxygen atoms, which can create a dust storm or a typhoon or a fire. Storm controls the elements, so she can create lightning, cause typhoons, create tidal waves, freeze someone solid, or use any other kind of weather to defeat an opponent. Then there's Stormfront. Not only does she have the power to generate thunderstorms and lightning, she also has superhuman strength, durability, speed, and stamina. You name the trait needed to win a fight and she's pretty much got an enhanced version of it. While Storm probably has the most unrivaled power of controlling the weather, Crystal brings with her the ability to create fire and control Earth metals. Stormfront, though. Man, I don't know. She's extremely strong! It's not that she couldn't be taken down, but Storm and Crystal would have to work together for that to happen. Storm and Crystal could potentially take out Stormfront and then battle on their own. The movie version of Storm and the TV version of Crystal, though? I don't think it happens for them here. Winner: Stormfront

We had Avengers vs X-Men then Inhumans vs X-Men then Avengers vs X-Men vs Eternals, so how long until we get the Fantastic Four vs X-Men or Defenders vs X-Men or Power Pack vs X-Men?

Inhumans vs. X-Men is far and away one of the worst comic books I've ever read. Jeff Lemire could not save this and Charles Soule could not save this, although I'm willing to extend both of them the same mulligan that I extend to Straczynski for writing One More Day at editorial gunpoint, as it's visibly an editorial creature through and through. It is the comic book that I would write if I were trying to construct an uncharitable strawman of cultural relativism, except as far as I can tell somebody (Editorial) actually wanted me to take it seriously as a moral dilemma with equitable sides. Grotesque Emma Frost character assassination also. All in all strong evidence that some of the comic books that I've fished out of my local library's dumpster were in there for a reason

binge read all new x-men (2015) in less than 24 hours. damn, i truly ate that up. the angst…😻😻

ngl i must have zoned out at some point coz i can’t remember what happened in between the things that really affected me but STILL. wow. i’m in shock.

not sure what the general consensus of the opinions of this comic was, but i had a blast.

i loved idie and evan!!! need more of them ASAP what the hell. bobby had a really good side plot too. idie had a scene where she was fighting someone but pleading with God and damn…that is forever engraved into my mind. and the transition to warren’s inner dialogue??? on that note, since when did i love warren? i mean ok, i always LIKED him but seriously…recently he’s been really appealing and i don’t even know why. ALSO this comic making me like hank is INSANE?!?! i used to love him, went thru an era of hating him…and i guess i’m back to liking him…? finally, the reason i read this comic…SCOTT ANGST!! oh my gosh. also, canon neurodivergent scott??? YUSSS!!

i’m kinda rambling but yeah. i’ve started this comic SO many times in the past few years but this is the first time i ever finished it. i’m so glad.

Is it wrong of me to feel just a liiiiiiitle salty about the fact that the x men are everyone’s favourite superheroes again but everyone’s decided to experience collective amnesia about the public perception of the x men in the 2010s during which I stuck with them as my favourite marvel heroes?

Even through the times marvel editorial actively tried to kill off their popularity plus being the only person I knew who got super hyped for dofp/apocalypse/dark phoenix while everyone else was hyped for the latest avengers film. (Also having to eat a big slice of humble pie when dark phoenix turned out to be total shit) Like I know this is incredibly minor and petty and unimportant but still stings a little you know?
