Kunst in Valkenburg Inside In de kloostergang van Château St. Gerlach en de schatkamer van de St. Gerlachuskerk zijn hoogwaardige beelden en schilderijen te bewonderen van gerenommeerde kunstenaars uit binnen- en buitenland. KiV Inside start in het openingsweekend van de Tefaf in Maastricht. De kunstexpositie is gedurende drie weekenden in maart (9/10,15/16/17,22/23/24) te bezoeken. De openingstijden zijn dagelijks van 10-17 uur of daarbuiten op afspraak mogelijk. De entreeprijs bedraagt € 7,50 en voor de jeugd t/m 12 jaar is de entree gratis. KiV Outside KiV Outside is een wisselende tentoonstelling van meer dan 100 sculpturen in de openbare ruimte, welke het hele jaar te bewonderen zijn op het landgoed van Château St.Gerlach. Clarissa Dunst: Bastardization of Larry Butz's pseudonym in the third Ace Attorney game. (Laurice Deauxnim > Clarice Deauxnim > Clarissa Dunst)

Jitendra "Joseph" Prasad: Originally called Josef, after a character I once played in a high school production. Honestly not sure when that changed.

Ingrid Zheng: Bastardization of Incavris, from back when she was a Neopet.

Bee: I straight-up don't remember. I also don't remember why her name was 'Bernie' in earlier drafts.

Marshal Johnson: Named after that guy from How I Met Your Mother who was convinced bigfoot was real. An old game prototype had Clarissa and Joseph make a one-off joke about said character, and then the one-off joke became a character because I overthink my jokes.

Fiona "Finch" Meggins: Megan Finn, from The Wishlist. (Can you tell I designed most of these guys in high school?)

Jack Haas: Designed for an OCT where everyone is a jackass. QED. (The spelling of his last name was inspired by a brand of avocado.)

Lavinia Mortigan (Vinny): First name comes from the Shakespeare character, surname is the goalie from Team Haunted Woods on Neopets.

Vinny's other pseudonyms: Mostly Shakespeare characters (Margaret Claudius, Marcella Costa), though once they get found out they ask whoever's nearby for a new name. (Belladonna, Steve, and - hilariously - Lavinia again.)

Sprocket McKormic: 'Sprocket' is a temporary name used by an amnesiac in Deadly!. ("There's a theory I'm called Sprocket..."). 'McKormic' was suggested by my OCT writing partner at the time.

Annabelle Merlo: Straight-up don't remember, but I know it only starts with 'A' because the Camera Bunker Bat trio were originally named A, B, and C.

Duncan Durant and Isadora Voclain: Those two kids from A Series of Unfortunate Events. ...And therefore a certain deceased dancer, I suppose.

Eldora Doe: I hit 'random' on Death Road to Canada a couple of times, got her first name, then went "hahaha. that sounds like El Dorado."

Jonald Doe: Because I already had Eldora designed and wanted him to be just as stupid. 'Jonald', because I already knew a couple of Johns.

Patricia Sloane: Surname from the protagonist of The Intergalactic Nemesis.

Bernard Warnes: One of the placeholder names in the Monster of the Week scenario 'Damn Dirty Apes'. His maiden name (Nielsen) is because I realised too late I had the opportunity to make the BONE cast have the initials BONE. fml

Alice Benson: I know like three different fictional characters named Alice who are in the medical profession, so when I needed a paramedic for MotW you bet your ass that's the name I chose.

The Quick & Dirty Guide to Nemesis [ACOR]

What goes around comes around.

Who was Nemesis? A Greek (that's right, MC, you aren't praying to a goddess of your oppressors, but one they stole) goddess, daughter of Erebus(Shadow) and Nyx(Night), sister of the Moirai (the Fates), the Keres (Black Fates), the Oneiroi (Dreams), Eris (no, not our beloved Eris Huang, but the goddess of Discord...no, not THAT discord), and Apate (Deception). In some histories, she is thought to be "the mother of Helen of Troy [1]".

Symbols: scales of justice, sword, wheel.

Manifestation: winged woman dressed in white, much like an avenging angel.

Other names: as most deities the Romans co-opted from the Greeks (after all, history is written by the winning side), Nemesis is also known by the Adraestia ("the inescapable"). In Greek tragedies, she appears as the avenger of crime and the punisher of hubris.

Perhaps our MC should be more careful whom she makes her prayers to. After all, prayers made to a vengeful deity can echo in all aspects of one's life. "Nemesis believed that no one should ever have too much goodness in their lives, and she always cursed those who were blessed with countless gifts." [2]

Cult: A festival called Nemeseia (by some identified with the Genesia) was held in Athens. Its object was to avert the nemesis [retribution] of the dead, who were supposed to have the power of punishing the living, if their cult had been in any way neglected. [3].

Nemesis Stones: These are stones taken from an altar of Nemesis. Stones are engraved with an image of Nemesis, usually in the form of a young woman standing with one foot upon the Wheel of Fortune. They are worn as amulets around the neck, or set into rings. Placed under the stone were the tip of a duck's wing, and a piece of mullein, which is often used in place of graveyard dirt. These amulets would exorcise demons, prevent and protect against nightmares, and prevent the condition known as "moonstruck" (insanity). It was also said to predict the length of someone's life and the manner of their death. [4]

Sacred animal: goose. Nemesis turned into a goose to escape Zeus, who turned into a swan. The result of this violent union was Helen of Troy.

Offerings: Blood. I have not been able to find anything else about this so we'll go with ACOR canon. In ACOR, Sabina and MC offer Nemesis a chicken, and then Sabina read the entrails. Perhaps Sabina would have had more luck if she had prayed to Isis.

As for MC, she could hire a magician, or use magic herself if she didn't want to get her hands dirty (obviously she does). Instructions for committing a murder by magic are simple:

To make a curse tablet: Take a piece of lead, shape it into a thin, flat rectangle, and inscribe a message: "Nemesis, destroy [enemy]. If you do so, I will make offerings of X to your temple." Then, bury it in the graveyard and ask the spirits of Gallic slaves to assist. [5]
