Keep your cats indoors. I don't care that you think your cat is so much happier outside. I don't care that you think he's living a fuller life by being able to massacre local fauna. Either keep him inside and enrich him properly like a good pet owner, or rehome him to someone who can and never own an animal again. This is non-negotiable.

and i didn't even post about this yet but my boys are now INDOORS CATS! ❤️

#they were barely outdoor cats before (they were only in the back yard if we were too) so they're adjusting really well #i don't think they can tell the difference #for the record i do think they should have been indoor cats from the get go but my mom's opd house was set up in a way that made it really #hard for her to keep them from wandering out (she's disabled and can't pick them up/needs doors to be open long enough to get her #wheelchair through)

This isn't quite Warriors-related, but this is where my largest audience is, and y'all seem to like cats, so I have a query:

I'm getting a catio built outside my house, and while it'll have a roof, it'll be exposed to the elements by wire-chain walls. Does anyone have a recommendation of things I could put in the catio for my felines to enjoy that won't be ripped apart immediately by cold and wind and rain? I know I want to get them some cat-grass, but toys or items for them to relax on are priority as well.

#i speak #not warriors #the cats just very recently became permanently indoors #my house is big enough to give them elbow room but i can tell they miss going outside #one im gunna try and see if shell walk on a harness with me and the dog #one only goes outside to potty (fucker wont use a box for some reason)#and the final one is feral-born so hes got the itch for the outdoors #i figure a catio will help with all of this

the thing is that I will never be satisfied with the number of dollhouses I have. a dollhouse for every situation. when I die they will turn my house into a small museum and let the children come and look at my dollhouses.

#moth and compass real in 3d #current projects actually going are the lighthouse and a late victorian house (altho' we're still debating how to furnish the second one)#next up after those are a tearoom and a chandler's shop. and after that ideally an indoor/outdoor rotating room box of ardroy #which is going to have to be Biglarge on account of the scale of the existing dolls.#but also. medieval study with cat so I can use those fifteenth century chair patterns I found.#also my mother would like to make a post office and if so I would like to make it desk-suitable so I can attach a folder for my actual mail #and also a bookshelf room for jopson. and also now I want to do a roman house very badly.#and I have the clay bits done up already to make a laurence and temeraire. do they need a room to live in. what room would I make for them.#this begins to sound like a cry for help.

came home from target to a fox just... trotting down my drive way at 6pm and then taking off down the sidewalk. I'm used to deer but that's the second fox I've seen in a month.

heart stopping moment thinking i had lost mum's dog when actually he's been sleeping under a shrub in the back garden for an indeterminate amount of time

#the garden is completely secure #and yet i panicked and woke up him from his nap because i failed to use my eyes #look i'm not used to being able to leave the back door open so a creechur can mosey in and out of the house at will #my cats are indoor creechurs only and i frequently panic if i leave the windows open slightly too much #also ross buddy could you please sleep somewhere more visible instead of lurking in a hedge for me
