Not to be *that asshole*, but every creative I know has pitched an idea, gotten outrageous support for the idea, then seen that support dissolve at the action stage. And like, yeah, okay, sometimes the execution just isn't what you expected, no big deal. But the way authors will post a one-sentence WIP idea and get 40,000 notes only to launch a kickstarter for the same project and get 20 likes, 1 reblog is the reason we can't have nice things. Everyone loves the idea of supporting fresh, innovative voices, but drops off when it comes to doing it, even if it's the same amount of work.

We can talk all day about big corps ruining creativity, but if we don't support the artists circumventing that to make good shit, what's the point? And obviously people aren't going to back and boost every kickstarter or project launch they stumble across, but if it looks cool? You think it might be interesting? You love the creator's previous work? Like, please just reblog it. You don't even have to back it. Just give it some hype and support and encourage your followers to do the same. That's literally the only way creators can circumvent the chokehold major corps have on the arts. It's a really easy but extremely helpful way to help your peers and screw capitalism, and I think it's devastating that not only is it NOT normalized, but support for individual projects seems to be dwindling in recent years.

Guess who just made his first ever zine!!!

I had just completed and printed a bunch of copies of my first ever zine!!

The zine is titled "How to Make a Fursona: A guide for furries and non-furries alike (but mostly non-furries)" and it is basically a little activity book that encourages confidence building and self-expression through making a fursona for yourself!

I'm gonna be going around to a few different book shops in Toronto tomorrow to see if they would like a few copies to let people take for free :]

May sell them online in the future. Who knows. IDK what the demand for these would be :P

UPDATE: These are now available for free in the Glad Day Bookshop!

I gave them about 10 copies for people to take :D They are on a lil table by the entrance!
