Went to the Grand Opening of Errol Heights Park in Portland Oregon, there are a bunch of Peacocks in the area. I usually don't get to see them in full display. June 1st 2024.

But look at my hike near North Shore of Lake Superior on Minnesota!
(I didn't actually get a picture of Lake Superior as I didn't have my phone when viewing it)

i'm kind of used to peacocks where i live so they don’t often register as special to me but here's one that loudly interrupted me on the sidewalk and then took flight to cross traffic.
[ID: a photoset consisting of three photos of a male indian peacock. In sequence – the peafowl is standing on a grassy area, crossing a sidewalk and then blurred as it takes flight]

Inktober 2024 no.14 - “Roam” 🦚
There’s a free-roaming peahen that occasionally pops in and out my parent’s estate. No one’s sure where she comes and goes from.

Happy World Peacock day! I decided to illustrate some Indian peafowl, or Pavo cristatus. Unfortunately, I do not have a good picture of a peafowl have taken myself, nor have I seen one in the wild. Hopefully, one day I will!
My favorite peacock fun fact is how they they were originally simply called “pavo” in Spanish. However, with the introduction of the turkey to the Old World, which was soon also referred to as a “pavo” due to its showy tail, peacocks eventually started being referred to as “pavo real,” or “royal pavo.”
P.S. If you want the pixel art in the form of a sticker, you can find them here and here. :3
