May I ask why incest? I don’t mean this rudely. I also find incestuous relationships compelling when done right in literature but I’ve never been brave enough express that. And you have a whole blog dedicated to it! You don’t have to answer if uncomfortable with the ask. I am simply curious.

Why not incest?

It's the ultimate forbidden love trope. From Gilbert Adair's The Dreamers:

I have a friend who loves to read alien romances, another who likes yaoi, my mom watches Christmas movies all year long. Everyone has a type of story that it's their preference, and tbh, I wouldn't even say mine is incest. It's one of the topics I like to read about, but not the only one. (If I had to chose between no more incest novels or no more sapphic novels, sorry incest, but I'm taking the sapphics).

I always liked to consume my media through written works, and I noticed that while other incest bloggers (namely @incensuous, @shipcestuous and @asexuelfs) had huge compilations of incest media, there was a lack of books mentioned. When there were books cited, there lacked information on the story. And so I sat out to find and catalogue and summarize incest novels. So that's why the blog. (Also, shout out to @thecloserkin, who was already doing something similar before I came along).

Despite lacking the element of Luminescence, the glow this species makes is unmistakable. This incarnation of the Infernal element is fairly easy to spot between coral branches. It hops around near mindlessly, eating plankton in the water column. Be warned however, their colors serve as a warning.

They are extremely hot to the touch. Reaching up to 250°C and higher, it’s a wonder how the water around them does not evaporate. They must be handled with extreme caution.
