The one thing I want to see in the final chapter, is Smokey just kicking ass. Let’s be honest the main reason to watch High and Low is because of the hot cast and some decent fight choreo (not the multiple simultaneous story lines that sometimes get confusing). Also Rude Boys fight style is the best. But its really hard not to like a character, even if they have a small part. The psycho’s are psycho’s and the good guys have a heart of gold. Rocky and the White Rascals attitude towards women. Kizzy alone. Rude Boys and their devotion to Smokey (and the other ‘leaders’ concern). Plus just the overarching theme of friendship within gangs and with other gangs to fight a necessarily evil. Then you have the grown-ups and their politics and serious (deadly) ways.

11. Kitamura Takumi continued to shine with his music and acting, winning hearts this year with representation of the gay character in  Residential Complex, and one of the stars in the high-octane action  Over Drive (2018). 

12. Uesugi Shuhei took on his first leading role drama in the controversial kidnapper in  A Little Room For Hope, making fans question if they liked or hated him as well as starring in the coming-of-age film  River's Edge (2018). 

13. Hayama Shono kept busy with three dramas including  The Count of Monte-Cristo: Great Revenge,  Boukyaku no Sachiko: A Meal Makes Her Forget and went blonde for the film (and spin-off drama) After the Rain (2018). 

14. Isomura Hayato like many ex-kamen rider stars before him continued to be a success with several drama and film projects such as  From Today, It's My Turn!! , After the Rain (2018),  Waiting For Spring (2018) and you currently catch him in the re-make  Suits. 

15. Inaba Yu after winning fans with Kizzy last year, Inabu Yu returned to his tokusatsu roots with a number of other actors with his co-lead in the film  N.Y. Maxman (2018) where he starred with Ryusei Ryo twice in one year since appearing also in the drama  Konda Teru no Goho Reshipi. 

16. Iijima Hiroki fresh-faced since finishing Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Iijima Hiroki acted in the dark romance  Holiday Love, as well as prince Gen Kaburagi in the ‘ikeman’ paradise project Prince of Legend. 

17. Wakaba Ryuya on the back burner for a few years, came back busy with four films including co-lead in Saraba Seijaku (2018),  Laughing Under the Clouds (2018) and as a member of the star-studded action Punk Samurai Slash Down (2018). 

18. Ochiai Motoki with a quiet year compared to last, Ochiai did appear in two films: Dynamite Graffiti (2018) and co-starred with Inaba Yu in the romance-drama  Watashino Jinsei Nanoni (2018). 

19. Narita Ryo definitely not quiet in 2018, this model-turned-actor proved he had talent with roles in  Smokin' on the Moon (2018),  It's Boring Here, Pick Me Up (2018) and is set to get even more praise with four films lined up in 2019 including his lead in Katsuben (2019). 

20. Masaki Nakao with barely stopping since his debut in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuoger, this energetic youth popped up everywhere with at least five dramas in 2018 ( including:  Parfait Tic!, Koe Girl ,  Bungaku Shojo), and the male lead in  Make a Bow and Kiss (2018).  In 2019 he also takes on cheer leading with the movie  Cheer Boys!! (2019).
