#In the myths shes a goddess but in FGO shes just a human queen for nasulore and YET shes still managed to fucking stunt on these hoes

Forgot to ask when Taigong is doing his special chant why did he name those specific gods are they important to him and who are they exactly? I know that Yuanshi is Taigong teacher and that Nüwa is Daji’s boss.
Before me, the King Father of the East, Dongwanggong
Xiwangmu, the Queen Mother of the West, is a major figure that frequently appears in Taoist narratives due to her status as the one governing all the Xian women. In contrast, Dongwanggong, the King Father of the East, exists only as her mirror image, barely gets mentioned anywhere, and while he gets the equivalent status of governor of the male Xians, there are a handful of male Xians blatantly above him in the hierarchy. Also, archeological evidence of Xiwangmu's worship is quite a few centuries older than his, so it's pretty well accepted that he was created just to be her counterpart.
To my right, the Flame Emperor, Shennong
Shennong is one of the three divine sovereigns of China. A man with the head of a bull and a great elemental affinity for fire. He was crowned the god of agriculture for teaching humans how to grow crops, weave clothes, and practice commerce. He also earned his status as the god of medicine by testing hundreds of herbs and sorting which were toxic and which were healing. I guess Prometheus is a good comparison point for him, as they share the fire imagery and the history as a granter of knowledge. FGO has him as one of the two gods incorporated into Xu Fu's Saint Graph.
Behind me, the Queen Mother of the West, Xiwangmu
The aforementioned boss of the Xian women. She's originally described in the Classic of Seas and Mountains as a woman with a human face, tiger teeth, a leopard tail, and unkempt hair, but later texts beautify her. She's also responsible for the peaches of immortality and famously offered one to Emperor Wu. She's the goddess of criminal punishment, associated mainly with the five more cruel sentences (marking criminals with tattoos, scraping off noses, cutting off feet, castration, and execution).
Some of her cameos in myths include:
Being the Yellow Emperor strategy teacher, who he calls for help in the battle against Chiyou.
Giving the peaches of immortality to Hou Yi.
Offering a peach of immortality to Emperor Wu.
Being the mother who doesn't let Zhinu (better known by her Japanese name Orihime) be with her mortal lover for 364 days of the year in the tale of the Star-Crossed Lovers.
Hosting the peach party that Sun Wukong raided to steal the peaches of immortality early into the Journey to the West.
Lending her Flag of Clouds to Guang Cheng Zi in the Investiture (and being regularly mentioned as Princess Longji's mother).
To my left, the Mother Goddess, Nüwa
Nuwa is the world creator, who also created mankind in a collaborative project with her husband Fuxi. She has a major part in the Investiture, as you mentioned. After having the honor of seeing her, Emperor Zhou of Shang got too excited and wrote an erotic poem on her temple's walls. Very offended by this, she dispatched our lovely trio of Daji, Hu Ximei, and Wang Guiren to cause the downfall of his empire. However, Daji proved herself to be a callous overachiever and a bad influence on her two companions, so Nuwa sided against her own subordinates in the war.
However, her main myth is about how the primordial gods of fire and water picked up a fight with her and the battle resulted in a hole in Heaven, causing the water of the Milky Way to leak downward, almost causing humanity's extinction. Nuwa used all of her power to patch the hole with colorful rocks and to recover from that, she took a nap she still hasn't woken up from.
May the great Jade Emperor bestow his blessing upon us
Yu Huang Taidi, the Jade Emperor, is the emperor of the celestial realm. Officially he is the direct assistant of Yuanshi Tianzun, and that makes him the most important Chinese god as far as mankind is concerned because the Three Pure Ones above him don't concern themselves with the affairs of either the human or the regular Xian worlds.
under Torch Dragon Zhulong's radiant light!
That's the guy who controls when it's day and when it's night. His eyes are vertically laid in the center of his face, and it gets bright when he opens them and dark when he closes them.

i wanna thank you for your Medb posts. Before, i was so blind; disliking Medb a few years back after i saw her in ch. america. i was like 'nooo what she doing to cu?' But once i found your blog my eyes opened to just how powerful, liberating and wonderful a character this Medb is. The way you write and draw about her and the others is just so amazing, it shows so much more about her character (love it!!) Please may you share more about this wonderful queen?
I’m always so touched whenever I get messages like these, I really appreciate them down to my core! Thanks for giving Medb a second chance! I’ve talked a lot about her for the past two years that I’m not sure what I haven’t already said tbh... and maybe I’m repeating myself from last year... bU T I wanted to say
The second half of the Summer racing event is still one of my favorite events! For the very specific reason that no matter what happened, everyone consistently kept insulting Medb and looking down on her becuase for whatever reason, they all just assumed she was a flaky brat that half assed everything. And yet...... pretty much every attempt they made to escape was thwarted because she had 100% thought things through for her prison because wasn’t as lax as she lets on! Even Enkidu was shocked that she was actually the type that didn’t let her pride keep her from improving herself to eliminate her own weakness. I’m still not even sure why everyone kept harping on her becuase almost every major appearance, Medb pulls out the power moves to flex on everyone
Literally from the start of America she had the upper hand and everyone else was only barely surviving her onslaught. It was canonically the first time Guda was in a singularity for so long becuase of how difficult and grueling it was
She conquers pretty much the entirety of the map in the Prisma event and launches a direct infiltration attack on Chaldea by essentially hacking the system. This is rarely ever talked about that she managed to do this
Servants aren’t supposed to be able to injure their master (Romani even says this) but she made a loophole by tricking the player into a geas pact to fight them directly in her interlude. Of course, she only did this just because she wanted to be more useful and didn’t directly say so, but she could have very well killed Guda
And of course this event, where she managed to outsmart her prisoners literally just by having taken precautions from the start, and queen said “Fuck you” when they tried to assassinate her. Also, the inherent idea that she specifically sought out Quetz, Carmilla, and Nightingale to be her subordinates, made Gorgon be the cornerstone... like how could you underestimate someone this much...
So even though they often mentioned that this Medb was different from America (or if they meant Chaldea’s Medb), there was never ANY reason to doubt her abilities, but they did! Repeatedly! As frustrating as it was for me to go through this a second time, being underestimated is arguably the biggest part of Medb’s character. Everyone, heck even the fandom, just takes her at face value, but rarely do they ever address how capable she really is. Like honestly, she’s a genius tactician and a master at politics, and she SHOULD have been allowed to help reform some areas of Chaldea like she wanted to. And yet, she takes it in stride becuase she already expects everyone to underestimate her, and she is extremely valid for rubbing salt in the wound every time she smugs on them for doing so
Maybe the real reason Medb has usually been the an antagonist/ has cute silly cameos in events thus far is because it’d be too easy to win if she was a protag in an event 🤔 Anyways, can’t wait for her next appearance in the August summer event! You rock, Medb!
#Magical college girl medb#Medb analysis#long post#If Medb had made reforms then maybe they wouldnt have gotten ambushed as badly as they did before the first Lost Belt#You ever think about the fact that America is the first of the plot heavy singularities but Medb is the ONLY antagonist that wasnt a divine#In the myths shes a goddess but in FGO shes just a human queen for nasulore and YET shes still managed to fucking stunt on these hoes#But anyways summer medb gets to take a break from being such a bad bitch and get to make sandcastles so good for her#But fr Ishtar should stay in gay baby jail for putting her ugly track on Connacht land#apologies if my sentences dont make sense im tired#Anonymous

Been sitting on this for awhile, I think it still needs some polishing and I haven’t settled on my design ideas yet (I need to pick a face-claim/potential VA/figure out some armor references if I want to draw him) but ya know what I think we need? Some more Greek heroes. I love me some Greek heroes. Here’s a Memnon profile for ya:
MEMNON PROFILE
5*
Rider (B/AAA/Q)
Origin: Greek Mythology / Africa
Brynhildr’s Beloved / Sky / Lawful Good / Greek Mythology Male
Passive Skills:
Divinity B
Affection of the Goddess
Riding B
Active Skills:
General’s Honor – Increases party’s attack, star generation, and NP damage (three turns).
- When introduced to King Priam, the leader of Troy loudly proclaimed that Memnon will be their savior. Memnon merely smiled, and said that his strength would be obvious on the battlefield, but it would be impolite to boast at dinner. A mighty general who was admired by all his men and feared by all his enemies.
Affection of the Divine (A) – Grants guts to self (one time, five turns), raises attack and defense and apply ignore invincible (three turns).
- Raised by nymphs at the shores of Okeanos, doted on by his divine mother, admired by Zeus and Hephaestus for his combat prowess. Rarely has a man ever walked the Earth who has been so blessed.
Proof of Immortality (B) – Charges NP gauge (20-50 percent), gains critical stars (10-30), gain de-buff immunity (one time, three turns).
- Though his story is lost, the mark of his legend is felt across the world. It is said that his blood gathered in a river upon his death, and every year on the anniversary of his slaying, the river smells of blood. Memnon, unlike Achilles, does not draw power when he is present in his homeland, as his tale is lost to history. However, he can draw on this power instead, a manifestation of proof that he lived and was considered a hero.
Noble Phantasm: Chariot of the Rising Dawn. (Buster). Chance to inflict burn (apples to all enemies), deal heavy damage to a single enemy. Apply Burning Field to the surroundings after taking effect.
- Invokes the protection and power of his mother, Eos, the primordial dawn goddess. Memnon has access to her chariot, which is pulled by two horses, Firebright and Daybright. Setting a trail of fire and sparks, he charges towards the enemy, leaving chaos in his wake.
- Because Memnon prefers single combat and dueling, this works as a Single Target Noble Phantasm. The burn, however, is applied to all targets.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction: The hero always arrives at the last minute… or, so they say. I am Rider, Memnon. Please allow me to serve as your defender.
Profile One: The rival of Achilles, who was summoned from Aethiopia after Hektor’s death to participate in the defense of Troy. The son of a primordial dawn goddess, a humble and great leader who inspired countless men. His tale is lost to history with all but a few fragments remaining, so much of his life is a mystery.
Line One: If you wish to rest, please do so mindfully. The battle will begin again when the sun rises.
Line Two: The relationship of a Master and a Servant is simple enough to understand. I was a general, so the chain of command is nothing new.
Line Three: You are still young. Please allow me to advise you in combat. If necessary, I shall take the lead myself. Leave everything to me.
Likes: Hmm… I suppose my hobbies are making music and gardening. Why, is that strange? I was raised by nymphs, you know.
Dislikes: Things that I hate… I’d have to think about it. I’m sure that there are things I dislike but nothing comes immediately to mind.
Holy Grail: A wish-granting device is certainly interesting. Would it be selfish to…? Never mind. I’ll have to think about what I could wish for.
Event: A new battle begins. Remember your obligations!
Birthday: The day of your birth is cause for celebration. May the gods bless you on this day/
Character Interactions:
Penthesilea: Ah, the Queen of the Amazons. It was a great honor to serve alongside her. Her prowess in battle is like none I’d ever seen. She’s really amazing. You know, she used to wear a decorated helmet that obscured her face… well, when it came off in the middle of combat, Achilles stopped what he was doing and just stood there! She nearly took off his head! Can you imagine, the great Achean, standing there looking like…? [clears throat] I mean, of course, I’m glad I got to witness such a glorious exchange. A battle between two warriors of that caliber is a rare thing.
Hektor: Hektor. It is a shame that we never met in life! I’m honored to be fight alongside – oh, no thank you. I don’t smoke.
Paris: … I’m a bit worried. They say Apollo is a great god, but this is…
Artemis: Ah, the goddess of the moon! My mother spoke of you often. I am truly blessed to meet you. Strangely… you remind me of… Oh, never mind.
Achilles: Yes, I remember him quite well. I don’t have any grudges. Zeus blessed our battle, and it was an exhilarating fight. I’m honored to have been able to cross blades with someone like him. Though… I do wonder if it’s alright to speak to him. I suppose, in his position, it’s possible… Perhaps if I offered to duel him once again, he would forgive me! Yes, I shall do that.
Queen of Sheba: I have traveled through many lands, but there is something about you that is familiar. Please tell me more about your kingdom – I would like to hear of it, even though we were not alive in the same era. Hmm? What do you mean, knowledge costs extra? Is this some kind of border tax?
Iskandar: You want to hear about Okeanos? I’m happy to tell you - but I’m afraid it’s not very exciting. I was raised there, you see, so a lot of my stories involve me doing chores and... oh? You still want to know? Very well.
Scheherazade: A woman who collects stories. I wonder... Hmm? Oh, it’s nothing. Never mind.
Nordic Heroes: They seem to be looking at me. I wonder – do they know something about me that I don’t? Is there something on my face?”
Profile Two / Bond One: “Are you comfortable? How may I assist you?”
The story goes that after Hektor’s death, King Priam of Troy summoned an army from a distant land. Alongside the Queen of the Amazons, Penthesilea, Memnon sailed to Troy from Aethiopia, to defend the besieged city from the wrath of Achilles.
Profile Three / Bond Two: “A lost hero, you say…? Well, it can’t be helped. “
Where Hektor was Achilles’s great enemy, it’s more accurate to say that Memnon was his rival. Memnon was also the son of a goddess, and had many powers that made him equal Achilles in combat. The Greeks feared him and his army. However…
Profile Four / Bond Three: “Yes, my mother is the goddess of the dawn. I even had relatives in the royal family at Troy, but I was raised by the Hesperides on the shores of Okeanos. Yes, it’s a real place. I’m serious. Perhaps one day, you will be able to reach it.”
Zeus was impressed by Achilles’s strength, but also favored Memnon. It is said that he blessed their battle, making them tireless, and the god of the forge, Hephaestus, had also given both of the heroes indestructible armor.
The written text of this story is lost, except for all but a few sentence fragments. The glorious final battle of Troy faded into myth, and then nothingness. Though many writers carried on describing Memnon’s legacy and fame, his shining hour was eclipsed by time.
Profile Five / Bond Four: “I was given many blessings from the gods. I would not say I have any regrets about how I lived my life. After all, if there is even one person who remembers that I lived…”
After the death of Achilles’s most beloved partner, Patroclus, the hero was inconsolable, and it seemed that he would lose the will to fight. However, Antilochos - the youth who cared for his horses and occasionally helped Achilles steer his chariot in combat - cheered him up and convinced him to continue living. Later, during a battle, Memnon struck Antilochos down, forcing the hero of the Acheans to grieve yet another loved one.
Profile Six / Bond Five: “I would like to tell you a story. It’s a great tale about a man who travels the world from end to end. Would you care for tea? It’s a bit long, so we may be here for awhile.”
Not long after Memnon’s death, the Trojan War ended, and a new tale began. It’s said that his mother wept inconsolably at her son’s death, and so Zeus granted Memnon immortality.
The ancient world of Northern Africa was said to have many statues of Memnon, marking the places where he had stayed or traveled to. These too are now lost.
However, despite all odds, the enduring soul of Memnon remains alive in human memory. It is for this reason that he can be called from the Throne of Heroes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personal Notes:
He’s BAAAQ with a single target buster because I wanted him to stand out from other Five Star Riders, basically, and the weird mechanic thing with burns is just something I think would be Neat because again I have no clue how a lot of the funky mini-mechanical technic-stuff works in FGO even after a year of playing. But like, if Space Ishtar can change her NP Card-type, then Memnon can have a single target NP that de-buffs all enemies.
So basically, he’s one of Penthesilea’s allies/an ally of Troy. He and Penth terrify the Greeks, at first Achilles is distracted by the hot new Amazon and his cute new rebound boy (I’m not a fan of Antilochos just like, on principle because this is a Patrolcus stanning household, but oh well), but then he eventually gets his act together and while he defeats Penth, Memnon winds up killing Antilochos. This leads Achilles to going on another rampage, and slays Memnon in the process. And after this, Paris (a known fool and idiot) finally asks Apollo for help in killing Achilles, leading to the end of the Trojan war.
There seems to be sources about Memnon that show he was well-known in the ancient world as a mythological figure (writers such as Herodotus reference him in their works/tales about Africa and he was probably memorialized in statues in various temples) but the primary text (the lost epic detailing the end of the Trojan War: Aethiopis) is basically gone. Which is a shame, because he’s a fascinating character - a true foil to Achilles in almost every way.
So basically, IT’S FREE REAL ESTATE.
Obviously because I’ve been deep in Achilles Loving Hell, I’ve been deep-diving into the lore, and even though there isn’t a lot to go on, the things I do find are rich and juicy. I imagine Memnon to be a bit older and wiser than Achilles (probably has a beard tbh, but not like a bushy beard) and a bit more relaxed. The guy was raised by nymphs and was basically nice to everyone, so it seemed. Memnon is not the type to go berserk in combat, but he also doesn’t hold back when it comes to beating your ass. There’s a sweet spot between Hektor “I Suppress All Emotions and Only Strategize” style of fighting and Achilles “I Am Strong and Fast and Have a Lot of Feelings so Fuck You” style of fighting, and Memnon is probably riiiight in there, crunching on some golden apples that his mom gave him for a snack.
(There’s also apparently a weird and funky piece of very obscure and maybe fake lore which states that Memnon might related by blood to Thor, which idk how true that is but I think it’d be hilarious to include.)

FGO Material II - Scathach Profile
A commission for @tainbocuailnge!
Scathach’s profile actually has a good lot of comments in her art (and full sentences too!) so I might put that up here too, though it isn’t a priority since they’re just comments on her design and such.
*If anyone is interested in commissioning me, here’s my regular commission page, and here’s my chart for Chapter America/E Pluribus Unum!
Class Skills:
Magic Resistance: A
Invalidates A rank magic. Modern magi cannot touch her with magic.
Personal Skills:
Primal Rune
It is the engraved magic, or runes, of the Norse. The runes this describes is different than those used in modern magecraft, namely being the original runes with the power of the Age of Gods--- They were imparted upon the world by the Great Norse God, Odin. She is said to have bestowed upon Cu Chulainn the original 18 runes - not only is he a warrior, but also a powerful magus.
God Slayer: B
As gatekeeper of the far-off and supernatural land, “The Land of Shadows,” continuously killing divine spirits is her lifestyle, thus that way of life became a skill. A divine spirit-specific attack. It gives an attack up to those who are divine spirits, undead, or possess Divinity.
Wisdom of the Abyss: A+
The Wisdom of the Abyss attained by going beyond mankind, god slaying, and existing outside of the world itself. Almost all skills, barring those that are exclusive to specific heroes, can be performed at a rank of B~A. Additionally, it is possible for her to bestow skills upon those she can truly recognize as a hero. A skill she often uses during battle, is “Clairvoyance” to be able to predict the tide of battle. Even in the Ulster Cycle, she was able to foresee the future with this--- even the end of her favorite pupil, Cu Chulainn.
Noble Phantasm:
Gae Bolg Alternative
Rank: B+ Classification: Anti-Unit Range: 5~40 Maximum Number of Targets: 50 people Gae Bolg Alternative. Their forms are similar, but the truth is it is different than the spear Cu Chulainn wields. It is older than Gae Bolg, which was a gift modeled after it. However, there is is no singular one, but multiple. Its performance when its true name is revealed is a special move that is like a combination of both Cu Chulainn’s Noble Phantasm, “The Barbed Spear that Pierces with Death” and “Soaring Spear that Strikes with Death.” The first strike is a melee attack from one magic spear that “sews the space” of an enemy, immobilizing them, while the second strike is a thrown shot that deals a killing blow. Naturally, any enemies in the trajectory of the thrown spear would be annihilated.
Gate of Scaith
Rank: A+ Classification: Anti-Army Range: 2~50 Maximum Number of Targets: 200 people
Gate of Scaith. This is the summoning of a “gate” that leads to the “Land of Shadows,” a far-off and supernatural land that is cut-off from the world. It inhales all living things in its range into the “Land of Shadows,” the realm she presides over. If what is sucked into thee gate fails a luck and magic check, it is killed instantly. To those who Scathach has not recognized, entering the “Land of Shadows” is impossible while still alive. Even if one resists the insta-death, great damage is still dealt due to the sudden absorption of magical energy. (This was not implemented in FGO)
Personal:
Personality:
She is prideful, though she would tell no one. A born ruling elite. She has the disposition of a monarch, and thus has decided it obvious that she should reign as a queen that brings happiness to her people. Brimming with talent, she understands better than anyone that she is different than average people. “Because I am superior, I will rule the people” “Ruling the people is a duty of the ruling class” Rather than fulfilling her own desires (happiness), she would “rule for the sake of the common people;” That idea seems natural to her. Although she has no desire to become a slave to the people, there is no hesitance in bettering herself for the sake of her people's’ happiness. Just as she is aware of herself, she seems to have eyes that can ascertain the character and disposition of others (especially as to whether they are an ordinary person or not.) In other words, it could be said that Cu Chulainn was a rarity, a genius worthy of her guidance.
Motivation and Attitude Toward Master:
In regards to her Master, she recognizes them as her partner in a temporary alliance, but sometimes, perhaps because of her previous role of teaching disciples, that side of her comes out and she acts like a teacher once more. When she notices it happening, she’ll say, “......No, I am not your teacher, so just forget about that,” with a smile. Her wish for the Holy Grail is for “someone who will kill her to appear.” Somewhere along the many, many years, Scathach turned into a divine spirit, thus becoming immortal. She cannot die as a human can. Death is beautiful. There is no ugly death. However, until the world and the realms outside it disappear, so too she must remain. If the Holy Grail truly is omnipotent, to send someone who will kill her would be good indeed. And hopefully, that somebody would be the one she bestowed a spear upon with her own two hands---
Speech Example:
“I’ll be serious. Yeah, of course I will. In my serious opinion, there isn’t anyone on the earth suitable to be my opponent.”* “I wonder if I should call you Master. Are you my lord?” “It isn’t strange that I’m laughing, Master. Understand?” “Nothing’s changed about your cheeky talk, Cu Chulainn. But I wonder if a boy called the Hound of Culann can grow up even a little” “Show me your strength, brave warrior. If you cannot, I shall take your life.”
This Figure in History:
Both a Celtic female warrior and queen of the Ulster Cycle. She is the gatekeeper and queen of the “Land of Shadows,” a distant and supernatural land, and is a genius of the spear and rune magic. She is worthy of the tremendous power to close the gates of the “Land of Shadows” and govern the multitude of dead that flood the place. She later became the teacher of Cu Chulainn, who became the hero of Ulster, guided him, and bestowed upon him not only his skills, but even his favorite spear. She also taught his son, Connla.
This Figure in FGO:
Too many--- I’ve truly have taken too many lives. Those of people, of the undead, of divine spirits. I have encountered countless numbers of existences, and I have slaughtered all of them. I fight. And fight. And fight. I kill, and kill, kill, kill. And in the end, all the blood that flowed out of those countless beings stained this body, and it became immortal. I was qualified to rule over the “Land of Shadows,” and as such was forced out of the world, becoming a divine spirit, though it made little difference to my being. I did not grow old. I could not die. I was changed into “something” that will continue to exist forever. I cannot remember how much time has passed since I held a spear for the first time. No, that’s wrong. By being in this supernatural realm and continuing to defend this gate, I acquired the Wisdom of the Abyss, and so it is possible to measure time accurately. However, I simply don’t care. It is different than melancholy. It is different than resignation. Is it regret? I do not know. Perhaps it is, but I cannot affirm that. At least, there certainly is no longer the feelings I had during my slaughtering or when I taught the mighty warriors of Ulster within my current self. Ah, that’s right. I have taught many mighty warriors. As a result of the passing of so many years, everything should have died out, but in my vague memories, there remains one. There is only a single man whose appearance is still clear to me.
Red eyes--- His eyes. It is only when that radiance passes through my mind that I know something in my heart. Warmth lingers in me, who is immortal and immutable. Does my heart wish for a reunion? It isn’t that. I can affirm this. Then what is it? Strictly speaking, that’s right, that man--- ---I want him to kill me. I want to die as a human. Of course, that would be a story of a man who is now a “Heroic Spirit,” who has already lost his brilliance of life, killing me, who has slain a god, but still.
◆
One few immortal Servants. She is a reliable teacher and queen, yet is a beautiful woman that somehow has the feeling of a girl-next-door big sister-type. I could go on. She is a sage who knows of all events and how they came about, but refuses to tell. If you ask her why she will not speak of it, she will say she is someone who is already beyond this world. Even if the world falls into danger, it would be rude to “those who currently live in the world” to solve the problem herself, as it takes away opportunities for growth. Basically, Scathach will not join the battle directly, and her cooperation ends at giving advice. …...But, because she really likes fighting, she deceives herself with some kind of reason and joins in local battles to show off her special moves. After taking away other Servants’ turns, she goes back to her room to reflect on her actions. Even though this form is adequate and she boasts a performance as a Top Servant, her body seems to have another stage. Although it’s only a myth, it is said that her name comes from a Scandinavian giant, the goddess of the mountains---
Ties to Characters:
Cu Chulainn: Her former favorite pupil. There seems to be a part of her that sees him as a member of the opposite sex. However, she stubbornly retains her role as “teacher.” In truth, although she thinks him killing her = wanting to be saved, she also thinks he can’t really do it, so she isn’t that serious.
Medb: A helpless and mischievous child. She likes men too much. But, she honestly can’t hate her.
Fergus: Likes women too much. But, she honestly can’t hate him.
Chiron: She has a connection to him as a teacher of heroes. They might get along well--- although she thinks that, they’ve never actually met. They may kill each other over differences in their educational policies.
Illustrator Comments:
As Cu Chulainn’s teacher, her attire was pretty much decided on, though there were orders to up the eroticism. I was completely surprised to find out later that she shares Bazett’s color scheme as I was completely unaware. She has overwhelming confidence as a person who has transcended combined with boldness, and because she’s already apart from the world, she’s a complicated character with a cold personality. …...That’s what the room mode breaking through MAX bond limit is for!
*This is something interesting - The first part of this (aka disregarding her last sentence) is found in the game as one of her Battle Start lines. However, including only those lines changes the meaning to make Scath seem more.... Teacher-ish? Like “Yes, yes, I know I haven’t been taking thinks seriously before, but I will now.” But, with the addition of that last line, in makes her way more cocky..... I wonder why they took it out?

Shouldn't ailill be four star only since he's not a popular heroic spirit?
i don’t think the ranking system in fgo has something to do with the servant’s popularity anon because if it was, a lot of characters would have been golden servants (sideglances medusa, diarmuid and a long list of servants whom i think deserve a better ranking) and if it did, i doubt some servants would be five stars. i mean if you’re asking as to why i ranked him that high well i got a lot to say
he is the equal of queen medb. the only one.
do you know how fearsome medb is? you gotta. i pretend fgo’s characterization of medb doesn’t exist but myth medb was so horrendous even in the battlefield that she was later on recognized as a goddess of war, rivaling the morrigan herself. the only difference between ailill and medb is that medb was the popular one but ailill was the one who mastered fighting more.
son of mata and rus ruad.
he was raised and taught by mata of the fir ol nechmacht, a godslaying tribe. mata just happened to be the leader of it. their combat style and knowledge of war is created not to just subdue gods but also kill them. it’s abrasive, unpredictable and lacking in grace. the aggressive engagement of killing machines.
he was also taught by his father rus ruad, king of leinster to fight like a king. graceful, with finesse and perfection. adding up the axecrazy nature and the instinctive thirst for blood, it’s a violent trait in itself.
do you think he would join medb in starting a war on ulster, a province known for its fearsome warriors, knowing he wouldn’t stand a chance at all? hah.
adding that up, ailill can either nuke you with godslaying spears, swords, bows, axe, lances and a whip or fuck you up with lethal physical confrontation at a very short range. the reason why his noble phantasm isn’t a weapon because he’s mastered all of these equally and have not focused on one department for far too long.
what he lacks in popularity, magic and any other means of shielding himself, he makes up with speed, endurance, quick wits and motivation. people seem to underestimate how far willpower can take a person.
he has an anti-army noble phantasm. for someone who was completely human in his past life, that’s already achievement enough. do you know how many people were present during the tain? ulster is a larger province than connacht but they overwhelmed ulster in terms of armies nonetheless. cu himself who’s a famed warrior in their era was forced to invoke a geis of 1v1 combat since they were at a ford.
he is incomparable with really op servants but i do deem everything about him worthy enough to be on that rank.
