Bhramari Pranayama, also known as Humming Bee Breath, is a calming breathing practice that soothes the nervous system and helps to connect us with our truest inner nature. Bhramari is the Sanskrit word for “bee,” and this pranayama is so named because of the humming sound produced at the back of the throat during the practice—like the gentle humming of a bee.
Benefits:
Calms and quiets the mind

lucifer's eyesight is 10 out of 10. not because he is not an old man, but because he's a demon and a demon or any supernatural creature you'll find in this world will not need a pair of glasses to improve their eyesight.
"i wonder how you look with glasses, i bet you look good", you said it one time, while you two were out doing shopping and passed through an optical shop. why would they even sell glasses here anyway?
"we demons don' t need glasses", he explained. he would never admit that he, the avatar of pride himself, need glasses. even when a demon has a bad eyesight, their eyes are still a million times better than a human.
"do elderly always wear glasses, to be more, you know, their age?"
your conversation left at that, you never mention it again and you realized at some point age was truly a sensitive problem with both lucifer and solomon.
time flies and you have to come back to your world, quickly forget about the glasses thing. and you thought this time there might be no reencounter whatsoever. but thank god and here he is, in your world, under the sunlight, with a pair of glasses sits firmly on his face.
"so you still need glasses to protect you from sunlight?"
"no, it's for reading"
#some headcanon? about lucifer's glasses in his human world look#i also think those glasses which helps improve eyesight are made for demons only#no but i rather believed lucifer just starts wearing glasses because mc told him they would look good on him#okay this is a mess but i really love it i really do#obey me headcanon#obey me nightbringer#obey me lucifer#obey me mc#og obey me#lucifer and his glasses#obey me shall we date

i have been rotating in my mind the idea of mo ran spending days, weeks even slowly getting chu wanning acclimated to the idea of domming him so he could ask laoshi to maybe spank him and call him a stupid curr who's only use is as breeding stock and he's just so excited when cwn finally, finally, after the 15th "are you sure" accepts doing some play with mo ran.
specifically what i have been rotating is mo ran seated straight, having to read a book off a table in front of him without breaking posture or making any errors.
after about the forth time cwn has to smack him across the thighs with a riding crop for slouching he realizes.
mo ran isn't slouching. mo ran is trying to get a closer look to the page.
because he's nearsighted. and neither of them noticed until now

I have never heard my life summed up so goddamn well. Life is survival is suffering is pain.
“That’s why high school, or a crappy job, or any other restrictive circumstance can be dangerous: They make dreams too painful to bear. To avoid longing, we hunker down, wait, and resolve to just survive. Great art becomes a reminder of the art you want to be making, and of the gigantic world outside of your small, seemingly inescapable one. We hide from great things because they inspire us, and in this state, inspiration hurts.”
— One of the best articles I’ve ever read. Rookie Mag. By Spencer Tweedy. (via wildyork)
#if y’all have been wondering why i’ve been quiet on tumblr lately#i had some hope#via LASIK#but my corneas are too thin for the operation#which means i can’t improve my eyesight#have to try to learn how to drive with hand controls with my shit vision#i am essentially prisoner in my own room#i hate this#fuck my parents for moving to bumfuck TEXAS#if i can even learn to drive#i’m a hot column of shitty problems that i didn’t ask for#personal#hiatus#at the end of my rope

The Importance of Eye Health: Tips for Maintaining Good Vision
The Importance of Eye Health: Tips for Maintaining Good Vision
Your eyes are one of your most valuable assets, helping you experience the world around you. But it’s easy to take them for granted—until something goes wrong. Understanding the importance of eye health is the first step in keeping your vision clear and sharp for life. Let’s explore some eye health tips and easy habits to support your eyes every day.
Why Eye Health Matters More Than You Think
Good vision is essential for day-to-day life, whether it’s working on a screen, driving, or reading a book. Ignoring eye care can lead to long-term issues like glaucoma, cataracts, and eye strain. That’s why understanding the importance of eye health and taking care of your vision now can save you a lot of trouble later.
Tips for Good Vision: Habits that Keep Your Eyes Healthy
Keeping your eyes healthy doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are some tips for good vision that can easily fit into your routine:
Limit Screen Time: Too much time on your phone or computer can strain your eyes. Try the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
Stick to Regular Eye Exams: Even if your vision feels fine, regular eye exams can catch problems early. An eye doctor can spot issues like glaucoma before they become serious.
Follow a Simple Eye Care Routine: Wash your face regularly, use lubricating drops if your eyes feel dry, and wear sunglasses to protect against UV rays.
How to Improve Vision Naturally
While it’s natural for eyesight to change as you age, healthy habits can slow down the process. Here’s how to improve vision and keep your eyes in top shape:
Exercise Regularly and Manage Health Conditions Conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure can affect your eyesight, so staying active and managing these issues is crucial for long-term eye health.
Wear Protective Eyewear Whether you're playing sports or working in a dusty environment, wearing protective glasses helps avoid eye injuries that could impact your vision.
Omega-3 for Eye Health Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce dry eyes and support retinal health. Including fish like salmon or taking omega-3 for eye health through supplements can make a noticeable difference.
Foods for Eye Health: Eat Your Way to Better Vision
What you eat can directly impact your eyesight. Some foods for eye health include:
Leafy Greens: Spinach, kale, and broccoli are packed with antioxidants that protect your eyes from blue light and reduce the risk of age-related vision loss.
Fatty Fish: Fish like salmon and tuna are rich in omega-3 for eye health, which helps prevent dry eyes and keeps your retina healthy.
Citrus Fruits: Oranges, lemons, and other citrus fruits are loaded with vitamin C, which supports eye function and reduces the risk of cataracts.
Should You Use Eye Health Supplements?
If you’re not getting all the nutrients you need from food alone, eye health supplements can help. Look for ones that contain omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zeaxanthin, and vitamins A, C, and E.
Omega-3 for Eye Health: Helps relieve dry eyes and inflammation.
Lutein and Zeaxanthin: These antioxidants protect your eyes from blue light damage.
Zinc: Supports night vision and prevents age-related eye conditions.
Talk to your doctor before starting any eye health supplements to make sure they fit your needs.
Why Regular Eye Exams Are Essential
A lot of eye problems don’t show symptoms right away. That’s why regular eye exams are so important. Adults should get their eyes checked every one to two years, and kids need annual exams to catch any vision issues early.
Create an Easy Eye Care Routine
A little care goes a long way. Here are some ways to build a simple but effective eye care routine:
Keep Your Eyes Hydrated: Use artificial tears if your eyes feel dry, especially after long hours on the computer.
Wear Sunglasses Outdoors: Protect your eyes from harmful UV rays by wearing sunglasses with proper UV protection.
Get Enough Sleep: Your eyes need rest too! A good night’s sleep helps prevent eye strain and dryness.
Final Thoughts: Protect Your Vision for Life
Taking care of your eyes doesn’t have to be complicated. By following these eye health tips, getting regular eye exams, and including eye health supplements if needed, you can protect your vision for the long haul. Make sure to eat plenty of foods for eye health like leafy greens and fish rich in omega-3 for eye care, and adopt a solid eye care routine to stay on track.
Your eyes are worth the effort—so start small, stay consistent, and enjoy the benefits of good vision for years to come!

[ID: Three images of Falin Touden from Dungeon Meshi.
The first image is presumably from the Delicious in Dungeon World Guide: The Adventurer's Bible. In the top left corner is a fancy border with big, bold text in it that says "3 | Sight". Below to the left has smaller text that says, "Falin has been nearsighted since she was very young, and she has a habit of squinting at things to see them. As an aside, being turned into a chimera has improved her eyesight, and that habit seems to have corrected itself." To the right is a picture from the manga showing a younger looking Falin with her eyes closed and someone off screen pushing her bangs back to lay on her head.
The second and third images are also from the manga of different shots of Falin with her eyes wide open. / END OF ID]

FALIN KEEPS HER EYES CLOSED BECAUSE SHES NEARSIGHTED BUT WHEN SHE BECOMES A CHIMERA SHE OPENS HER EYES
#dungeon meshi spoilers#i went back to chapter 97 of the manga to look if she still keeps her eyes open or closed after she is properly resurrected#before she wakes up her eyes are always open in the dream(?) with the winged lion#but after she wakes up she has them sometimes open and sometimes closed#when her eyes are closed its when shes smiling so its not her squinting at smth‚ but other times -#-(like when shes talking to toshiro or senshi and marcille about her gifts) her eyes are closed#maybe her eyesight is improved completely and she still squints out of habit now that shes fully... conscious(???)#/or/ her eyesight is only slightly improved but not completely like when she was a chimera#i mean‚ she keeps the feathers on her torso and legs and the pointy teeth‚ so its likely her eyesight only slightly improved#idk‚ but still interesting bc i dont think i noticed it before#went through and skimmed through the entire manga and non-chimera falin always has her eyes closed except when shes a child (vol4ch26)#they were mostly open but would be closed sometimes when shes smiling/shocked#i noticed shes shown with closed eyes more after she saves laios from being possessed by a ghost but maybe thats just a coincidence#+(this may be when shes 10 and laios is 13‚ based on their appearance in daydream hour 2 (where her eyes are open))#in the cover image for volume 5 her eyes are open and shes in her old dungeon outfit but also senshi is there so take that as u will#her eyes are closed a few times after being resurrected by falin (vol4ch28) but are always open after she wakes up (vol5ch29)#in vol6ch38 when toshiro remembers that falin likes bugs‚ the only time shes not squinting is when shes holding the bug close to her eyes!#neat detail#when people remember falin her eyes are always closed but when they remember falin post-resurrection and chimera form her eyes are open#in vol8ch52 as a child‚ her eyes started to be closed more often after laios left home#in vol10ch67 pages 1-3 child falin has her eyes closed‚ but laios is there so this is before he left home#in laios' dream (vol6ch42) he says he hasnt seen his parents in 10 years. laios is 26 years old‚ so im assuming he left home when he was 16#laios and falin are confirmed to be 3 years apart‚ so falin wouldve been 13 when he left and was about 10-13 in the aforementioned memory#theyre also sometimes open and closed in the monster tidbits 4 chapter which takes place after the story#in falin's race-swap in daydream hour 5‚ the only time her eyes are slightly open is when shes an elf. take that as u will#tl;dr falins eyesight started getting bad around 10-13‚ was improved after first resurrection/as a chimera‚ and her eyes slightly improved-#-at the end of the story‚ possibly because she still had bits of chimera traits after being properly resurrected (the feathers & fangs)#....anyway. can u tell i took my adderall today lmao

i bought the Loop Quiet and while i don’t loooove them, they’re pretty cheap and I’ve worn them to events like a baseball game and they definitely help prevent the head-throbbing/overstimulation etc.
i will say, for a bigger commitment/pricetag, what has been lifechanging for me (i am wearing them while typing this!) are Bose QuietComfort wired headphones. i bought them through a doctor for $75 (I think I have a pair from a slightly earlier gen) and i literally cannot go to the office without them anymore. like, i turn them on and experience a full-body “Ratatouille guy childhood flashback” shudder of relief.
they do need to be charged (though have a long battery life), they’re not bluetooth, and they’re so noise canceling that ppl can def come up behind me calling my name and I won’t hear them, so fair warning. but also they r my one true love so 💕

^ these are loop earplugs and they help you manage sound, these work great for migraines and people with sound sensitivity bc of autism/trauma/anxiety, etc. they come with multiple sized ear tips and the sound muffler silicone ring. I bought the loop engage plus, I'm a very burnt out + overwhelmed person. these make my annoying clock go away without me having to take out the batteries.

^ flare earplugs, but I consider them more ear funnels? they allow more airflow into your ears for clearer sound. these work great for tinnitus, anxiety and autistic people. I haven't tried these yet and they have a lot less reviews on tiktok compared to loop.
if you need to search out cheaper brands I've only seen alternatives similar to loop on Amazon, look into decibels and your daily life needs, especially if you work. I feel my engage pro is great for daily home life with older children, pets, natural noises in your day, school, or work. but in a louder work setting like a factory, construction, daycare, or a theme park, I'm afraid these wouldn't work as good as experience might. I recommend checking out tiktok + reddit reviews if you're unsure.

Woo! Been a week since the corneal erosion, and I would very much like to have restored vision back in my left eye now, deplorable such as it is.
#personal#corneal erosion is so excruciatingly painful#had it in both but eyesight in right is I...*think* restored#but now I am in the aftermath#my vision has not been so blurry for this long.#It is concerning but fingers crossed it improves because my new insurance does not really have any relevance at all.#I am so so so so so so grateful it does not hurt anymore...#...but it would be nice to know sooner than later if/when the status of my left eye.
