Edit: ok, I’ve talked to a few of my friends and here’s what I have to say about the name of Toby.
In regards to this: it reminds me of a phenomenon that is more damaging to representation of mental illnesses or oppression in media - the less you acknowledge it in the media piece, the more ignored it'll be in real life. For example: if an LGBTQ+ person were depicted in a time piece movie, such as a movie set in the 50’s, it would be ignorant to pretend that the 50’s wasn’t a homophobic era, and a missed opportunity to explore the history of oppression and homophobia for educative purposes.
Because of this, I think it's crucial for me to keep his name, (which is not being used in a derogatory context, but more descriptive- coz he's literally ticking Imao, (ofc not all the time).
This is why I am actively trying to include new problems and diversities in my new comic plan, so that I can use my comic to educate the children that follow me– because previously, my comic was just aimed to draw cool fanarts and nothing more, but these days I want to do more with the attention I have now.
To conclude: the more something is acknowledged in media and exposed to people at an early age, the more awareness and care can be raised for the issue and in turn, create a better next generation.
So yeah, I don’t think I’ll be changing his name anytime soon, because already, I’m seeing a lot of love has been created for the “Ticci” side of Toby— people coming to me saying they love my depictions because it makes them feel better about their tics and stuff like that, which is very important to me. And not to mention, erasing it completely seems more ignorant and ableist than the latter.
And don’t worry, I don’t aim on romanticising any mental illnesses/disorders either, I’m actually trying to tackle that in my comics as well. If you’re still concerned, then I’d like you to inform me of potential risks I face, or damages I may cause, within privacy rather than through the public inbox.

Drugo mesto, prvi album. Niko Nikolić.
Oscar Wilde je pod pojam pevanja uveo osećajnost i najsloženiju umetničku veštinu nazvao "umećem muzičara". Dakle muzika kao izražajno sredstvo predstavlja harmonijsku sinesteziju vođenu tonalnom skladnošću i adekvatnošću instrumenata. Instrumenti su vođeni ulogama kako tehničkim tako i dramskim, ali jedan instrument zauzima zasebno mesto, a to je naravno ljudski glas. I ljudski glas kao takav predstavlja savršen instrument kroz utilizaciju, osećanja (melodija i dinamika) i ideje (tema i tekst). A pored toga samo pevanje lakše dopire do ljudskog srca imajući na umu to da svi posedujemo glas i da svi preko istog svakodneno komuniciramo.
Wilde je i pored ovakve kategorizacije proširio pojam pevanja i to posebno u sferi muškog, nazvavši ga "dubokim utiskom osećajnosti". E sad pojam dubokog pevanja, kako vokalnog tako i emotivnog se naziva "krunovanje" (crooning) što bi na našem jeziku značilo pevušenje, a samo značenje reči bi bilo pevanje u mekanom i dirljivom maniru o stvarima koje su lične autoru, ali univerzalno i slušaocu jer se svejedno radi o jednoj ljudskoj dimenziji koju svi posedujemo. Posebno moramo obratiti pažnju da je Wilde "dubokom utisku osećajnosti" za punoću emocije dao pevanje niskim, tihim ili šaputavim glasom, što je u kontrastu sa punoćom osećanja koje pevač pokušava da iznese. Kraće rečeno, postoji nešto inherentno revolucionarno u pevanju žene koja punim glasom iznosi svoje srce, ali i podjednako revolucionarno kada u pevanju muškarac odluči da šapuće.

Elem, odma moram nagovestiti da se radi o autoru koji ima vokalnog raspona, ne oslanjajući se preterano na tehnikalnost i upotrebljavajući svoj glas sebi dosledno i sa ukusom.
E sad, odakle početi. Jedna od najlepših stvari u vezi ovog izdanja jeste način na koji je autor uspeo da inherentno tvrd i štur jezik umekša do te mere da bih na momente zaboravljao da zapravo slušam čoveka koji peva na srpskom jeziku (pozdrav braći hrvatima!). Iz osobitih razgovora sa autorom znam da je ova potraga za rešenjem predstavljala pravi problem sa kojim se Niko bavio sve vreme kroz snimanje albuma. Takođe moram reći da je Niko jedan od kompletnijih autora sa domaćeg prostora, kako tehnički tako i po sentimentu, a posebno po sentimentu jer pozdravljam pop feeling koji prožima ovaj album od kojeg se Niko nije ustručavao niti okolišao, a opet lično znam da je tehnički morao ukrotiti svoje prog tendencije i simpatije prema komplikovanijim muzičkim formama, što zapravo nije lako. Autor se nije trudio da ima alternativan pristup ka pisanju i produciranju muzike i mislim da je to poprilično osvežavajuće. Takođe, pored očigledne sklonosti ka pop muzici na ovom izdanju, moram isto pozdraviti i povremene upade tradicionalnih melosa iz narodne muzike koji su suptilno, ali ne previše suptilno implementirani u pevanje koje sam nevezano za melodiju, već zgotivio.
Igrajući se sa trilerima, Niko povremeno zvuči poput Čole, posedujući sličnu boju glasa i definitivno raspon, dok na trenutke "krunerski" zaplovi u sebe, promeni dramu, ohladi pesmu i to nakon refrena u obliku "tihog stiha" ili bridža, menjajući emotivnu sliku i dinamiku, što ima i svoj nus efekat (pozitivan) te zbog povremene tišine glasni delovi zvuče glasnije, što se najviše ogleda u refrenima gde pevanje doseže vokalni krešendo.

Gitarski radovi na ovom albumu su fino osmišljeni, izbalansirani i usaglašeni sa ostatkom aranžmana. Nekada stvarajući momentarnu kakofoniju, dobijajući takvu zvučnu teksturu da gitare postaju nerazulučive, čineći se poput jednog instrumenta. Aranžman je posebno bogat i izbalansiran ne preterujući ni u jednoj dramskoj poenti na pesmi. Svaki deo traje onoliko koliko se oseća da bi trebalo. Aranžman je dinamičan i uzbudljiv. Ono što lično mogu reći da mi je druga strana albuma zanimljivija od prve. Ne da je ova prva loša nekako već da je bolji izbor pesama završio nakon četvrte numere.
Dakle folkičaste Golub snega i Vlašići (na kojoj Dunja Mijačić iz benda Sitzpinker, gostuje kao prateći vokal), dreamy Niko Nije Kao Ti i Peščara i posebno hitičasta Amerikanka, za mene lično predstavljaju bolji i pre svega sadržajniji deo albuma. Što se tiče muzičke mape, ona je tu, ona je bogata i odiše naslušanošću. Slušalac će na ovom izdanju pronaći razne uticaje među kojima su Connan Mockasin, Kurt Vile, Devendra Banhart, gitarski evocirajući na Ruben Nielsona iz benda Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Vini Reilly iz Durutti Columna i Chris Rea, dok se Sufjan Stevens nalazi u nagoveštaju, a Weyes Blood u raspoloženju.
Ono čemu se moram obratiti nažalost jesu one tužne glave koje čim čuju chorus/phaser gitaru odma zaključuju da je ovo nekako kopija Svemirka. Ja recimo čujem daleko veću pristrasnost prema sedamdesetima nego prema osamdesetima, što mislim da je i više nego evidentno na albumu. Ne može se osporiti da postoje momenti kada se referira Svemirko ili čak Mac Demarco u raspoloženju, ali opet postoji toliko toga drugog da je takva referenca skoro zanemarljiva.

Osim ovoga nemam šta više dodati. Album kao ovakav je fina bombona, lep dodatak regionalnoj muzici čije melose nosi sa ponosom i kao jedno prvo izdanje, sasvim promišljeno. Peace Out.

dubak: Kako je nastao Niko Nikolić?
niko: Kad sam završio Pola noći, pesmu koju sam dugo kuvao za Kuvade, shvatio sam da možda mogu sve sam, pa reko što da ne krenem solo, al treba mi neko ime manje opšte od Pavle Nikolić, a i nisam hteo da se poistovećujem sa samim sobom, ovako to više gledam kao projekat.
dubak: Kakvo je tvoje prethodno muzičko iskustvo?
niko: U Trsteniku sam svirao u školskom orkestru, u KUDu (moj muzički highlight, jer sam zapravo putovao i bio plaćen), imao sam pop/fank bend Celer sa kojim sam svirao kavere, i kao to malo nastavio u BG dok me nije smorilo. Posle sam svirao i snimao sa Urošem (Xanadu), pa su nastali disko magovi Srcolomci, i bio sam basista/slajd/bek vokal u indi priči koja se zvala Kuvade, al nikad ne objavismo album. Išo sam u muzičku za gitaru i pevanje, al me je brzo smorilo, sem ludog profesora solfeđa koji nam je pokazivao džez i atonalnu muziku.
dubak: Mišljenje o regionalnoj sceni?
niko: Puno lepih projekata u začetku, videćemo šta će da zaživi kad se pandemija završi.
dubak: Da li misliš da postoji neiskorišćena muzička niša kod nas?
niko: Nemam toliko iskustva, jer se nikad nisam kretao u krugovima bendova, uglavnom sve radim sam štapom i kanapom. Ima dosta lepih i talentovanih pojedinaca, al verovatno nema tolko para i energije da im se pokrenu kreativne i kolaborativne iskre.
dubak: Da li voliš pop?
niko: Pop? Pop je maltene jedino što slušam! Meni je sve što ima strofu/refren strofu pop muzika. "populous" (narod) dakle popularan, dakle narodna muzika.
dubak: Omiljeni dad rocker?
niko: Omiljeni dad rocker? Biće da je dad rokerka, Weyes Blood!
dubak: Šta se sluša regionalno?
niko: Pogledaću spotify history: Esma Redžepova, Tonči, Vizelj, Muharem Serbezovski.. Eto, volim i orijent i rokanje i emociju.
dubak: Šta se sluša strano?
niko: Sufjan Stevens, Death Grips, Philip Glass, Altın Gün. Isto sam pogledao history.
dubak: Da li imaš omiljenu pesmu na albumu?
niko: Carigrad mi je omiljena, jedino sam nju brzo napisao, snimio... i zaboravio. Sad kad sam joj se vratio shvatio sam da je overthinkovanje zlo.
dubak: Koliko sam upućen, proces snimanja i mixanja albuma je bio naporan, šta nam možeš reći o tome i da li se od muzičkog autora u 21. veku očekuje da donekle poseduje veštinu audio inženjeringa?
niko: Kao što i jesi upućen, hehe, da dugo sam snimao i miksao. Najviše sam se mučio jer nisam znao šta znači dobro smiksana pesma, i hteo sam da to sam naučim kao veštinu koja će mi dalje služiti. Zato sam sve dosnimavao, isprobavao itd... Zaključak je da je i miks samo estetika i onda whatever works.
dubak: Šta nam možeš reći o tvojoj saradnji sa izdavačkom kućom Više, Manje, Zauvijek?
niko: Pročitao sam njihov intervju na Oblakoderu prošle godine, gde su se predstavili, pa reko aj da im pošaljem svoje demo snimke, delovalo je kao dobra priča i bilo mi je drago da postanem deo iste. Njima se svidelo sve, mada ih nikad uživo nisam upoznao, sve funkcioniše preko mejla i vacapa.
dubak: Na pesmi Vlašići gostuje Dunja Mijačić iz benda Sitzpinker, kako ste stupili u kontakt?
niko: Dunjin dečko, je moj veliki prijatelj s faksa (pozdrav za Bekicu). Želeo sam ženski vokal za tu pesmu, a nisam znao nikog ko dobro peva, a da bi hteo da učestvuje u mom amaterskom poduhvatu. Njoj se pesma svidela, i iskreno, ima prelepu boju glasa kad tiho peva.
dubak: I za kraj, cast and crew albuma, ko je sve učestvovao u stvaranju ovog prvenca?
niko: Vitomir Milićević, stari dobri prijatelj i producent, mi je miksao Pola Noći i Amerikanku, i odradio je master na ostalim. Snimanje i miksanje sam radio sam, u stanu, više iz nužnosti situacije. Tokom cele ove izolacije, uspeo sam da iscimam Dunju Mijačić kao što sam napomenuo, i Đorđa Leposavića koga znam još od srednje, da odsvira violinu na Golub snega. Sve su to neka lepa poznanstva. Na kraju što se tiče vizuala, Tamari Hasičević su se svidele sve pesme, i ja reko aj nacrtaj nešto, i onda je ona bila u fazonu ok onda nek to bude ceo projekat i nacrtala je ilustraciju za svaku pesmu! Azzu znaš, on je na kraju dao final touch uradivši animaciju za ilustracije tako da sada drže pažnju.

I (Male 22) fell in love with my gym bro (Male 24). Problem being, I thought I was straight.
This all started a few months ago, I noticed this guy at my gym and I knew something was immediately off. I was like nervous to even look at him, but I decided to get rid of that nervousness and just talk to him. He was actually really nice and funny and we quickly became buddies. Then about two weeks later my girlfriend broke up with me. I told him that and we had a heart to heart where he casually came out as gay. But that initial offness that I felt when I first saw him didn't go away, and I quickly started to piece together that it was the same feeling I get when I look at a really pretty girl.
And over the months it's been increasingly hard to be near him because he's just so...gorgeous guess. Whenever I go to sleep, I just imagine him there snuggled up to me. I just wanna text him all the time... and I just wanna kiss him so bad. I guess this is me coming out as bi...I met a beautiful guy at the gym and we became best friends, I love his personality, he makes me laugh nonstop, and ngl he's mad thick. I wanna ask him out so bad
update 2: I'm fucking crying in my car rn holy shit. He said yes. So I walked him to his car and I told him. And bruh...the way I couldn't speak Imao was so nervous. But basically, he said he kinda thought I was into him cause "I can only catch you respectfully staring at my butt so many times before it's a little sus". But I told him that I'm bi...and we're going on a date Friday. But like bruh... he looked so flustered and cute when told him...he had the prettiest smile Imao. And for the people saying stuff about my vocab and texting...I'm a history major, not smart...my vocab consists of "I guess", "like", "idk”, "bruh", and "fucking". But anyways...I guess we're a little more than just gym bros now...I seriously couldn't have done this if this didn't get so much random ass support Imao. Anyways...I'm fucking shaking...I actually did it...brig I love him so much...so so so fucking much. Thank you for the support!

We Have Already Made History
Dear Johnlockers and Tjlcers, I am here, with this sort of short letter, directed only to you. Since yesterday, things haven't been easy. Not a little. This is not a "let's have hope" speech. So, okay, 1st I want to remember you all something I learnt a while ago. There is this art product. But at the same time it is the creator's intentions reflected there, it's made half of them, and half of the public's visions, perceptions and interpretations. Now, let's talk about Sherlock. For a long time I was on the 100% sure boat, trusting on Moftiss. And if you have been following me, you know that. But let's face the truth. The odds aren't on our favor. And what lgbt+ representation means for you, us, is far from what it probably means to Mark Gatiss, even though he's himself a gay man, and Steven Moffat. In the the recent years, they saw US, people from different backgrounds, purely diversity, appropriate with all our right, their creation. So, I am never saying Johnlock isn't there. Because it is. We all saw it. And this is one of the most famous m/m ships because we were just one step from making the iconic Sherlock Holmes, what he already is in BBC Sherlock, according with our versions. We almost reached our objective. Together and united we raised our voices and believe me when I say that we were clearly heard. And their hands trembled when they saw how strong we were, a team, supporting and always there. Johnlock is canon because WE made it canon. And it would be nice to see that it was as well the writers' acts that lead us to this conclusion, but now I reached a state of peace where I can say that I don't need to see BC and MF kissing to feel happy with my experience with Sherlock. Because my experience with Sherlock can be summed up as YOU. And all the stories, fanarts and FANTASTIC theories. Queerbaiting is a big and ugly problem. And when concerning Moftiss and Sherlock, God, I'm truly sad because I was betrayed. I felt horrible. Just check my twitter, which I created only because of this reason. Sherlock may be one of the greatest queerbaitings of TV History. Just me that was destroyed yesterday? Of course not. People's lives were depending on this. God knows how these ones are now. But what I'm trying to say is that independent from what happened on Sherlock, the program, it propitiated the creation of this BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY, and guys, what we made here was history, more than what any other fandom imao has done in the last years. Perhaps there are cut scenes. Hope is the last to die, the dictate says. And I'm not even close to okay with an open ending. If they wanted to do it, they should have done it rightly, with ALL THEIR HEART AND COURAGE. I want the best portrayals they can make. I want it loud and clear. To everyone. But I'm talking with you now, and in the final, simply thanking for letting me be part of this. It was and is a lovely experience which I won't forget. Thank you everyone that was here with me. Thanks.
