Ohayocon 2020

So ive decided that regardless of whether work approves vaca time or not im gonna go to ohayo! ive got some cosplay im too deep n2 now to not show off lol

Im bringing three like usual, but i wont know the order till i see the photoshoot sched. i havent checked lately but last time it wasnt up yet XD

1. Team Yell so im excited for this one. vamping it up now that the games are out

2.BOTW Link I did this for halloween so ill probly do it sunday unless theres a zelda photoshoot sunday. its just thrown together^^' not really much else

3. This one is a surprise ;3 ill say it is legend of zelda. im excited for this one a lot. hint: for those following @linkeduniverse and the archives. my hint is Legend's Journal (real easy to fig out lol)

so yeah^^ im excited to be there. i was hoping to cosplay my fanfic Link but i wont have the whole fic out by then XD esp since i havent posted nything yet lol

heyy quick text post just cause ive been gone for like a month! 

idr if i mentioned why before but basically i had a shitton of freelance deadlines and then scrambling to finish a cosplay for ax, and the going to ax, and then another small con, all on top of work. But now im done all that! and will hopefully start to have some amount of free time again (altho theres always more things...)

But under that mountain of stress i had fun! I listened to the entirety of taz while working on my caesar cos so i guess i like that now and will unblacklist it! And AX was super fun!! I got to stay with my wonderful pal @gogozeppelii <3 and visit with lots of awesome artist pals and even meet some very cool people for the first time irl! 

I also: maxed out my credit card on anime shit (I’ll probably post a pic of my haul when i get the chance), somehow acquired a joj blueray for free, had the interior of my suitcase rub so far irremovable black shit onto two of my cosplays (including my cream coloured hand made 3 piece suit for claire), got tons of pics taken, almost died of heatstroke, and single-handedly got the jojo artbooks translated (HOPEFULLY but if that happens its 100% because of me im not even joking), and generally just did, a whole lot of stuff. If you cant tell the jojo panels were a highlight I got to pose with a lot of super friendly people and ora at the top of my lungs and im probably even more hyped about joj than i already was. I loved being caesar and I’ll probably keep wearing him, despite the black smudges the jacket acquired less than 24 hours after i finished making it :’v

ANYWAYS im back, maybe, I have more freelance coming up (p5 food zine! hopefully ill finally have time. to start p5), i’m going to try to scramble together my botw link cos for ar in under a month, and hopefully ill find time to draw some things ive been meaning to draw for a long time! like jojo merch!!!! ok ive rambled enough but tldr im not dead! (yet) :y

coffee if either... tbh I’m trying to stop drinking coffee because that usually means starbucks and I really don’t need that in my life, but unfortunately I really don’t have much appreciation for the taste of tea so if I need caffeine... coffee

uhhh I don’t have any particular cosplay pic I wanna show off rn so hi guys im trikey and im your average white person. average height, eye color between green n brown, hair between blond n brown, im not super exciting

I go walk places sometimes and I walk a ton while I’m at college, but otherwise I’m not athletically inclined

♫ - Do you listen to music when you write? If yes, what kind of music, if no, why not?

not usually... I tend to listen to music when I’m walking places more than anything else, and otherwise it gets a bit distracting. I listen to video game music sometimes when I draw but lately anything with lyrics kinda gets me off topic of whatever I was doing

☤ - Have you ever had to go to the emergency room? Why?

yeah, once, six or so years ago I was pretty sick and they were still sort of trying to figure out what was wrong and I was being a complete idiot and playing down my symptoms so people would just leave me alone and long story short after one doctor’s appointment they were like yeah just go to the er because it’s the fastest way to get some painkillers and etc. after that they moved me to the regular part of the hospital and I was there for about a week I think

♪ - Do you play any instruments?

used to play flute for years, took a piano class for a semester once, I vaguely tried to learn ocarina for my link cosplay but it was mostly just memorization

⚖ - Opinions on the fandom your muse belongs to?

the fe fandom seems chill, I’m not sure I want to be friends with every single person in it but I’ve found some cool people who kinda like to get into the characters and lore the same way I do and that’s honestly what makes it fun. I kinda don’t have much patience for anyone who starts calling the old games hard and the old fans elitist though bc I’ve seen a lot of fans of older games try to reach out and make it easier for new fans to get into em. there’s always exceptions ofc but just. don’t paint everyone with the same brush basically thanks

♿ - Is there anything about your body you’d like to change if given the chance?

✂ - Do you hate people easily?

only if they do stuff to deserve it? I usually try to make my own judgements about people and give them second chances and stuff but sometimes people are just really disgusting right off the bat and there’s not much you can do

✼ - Do you think the character/characters you role play as reflect who you are?

yeah probably. I’m pretty gay and I like magic and dragons and cats. also birds. and soft round things. did I miss anyone

joking aside though I like to pick people whose ideologies I can understand, so chances are if I write someone I empathize with them a bit

I’m nearing that 200 hours on botw

I’d like to think so but,,, I have a decent amount of trouble getting to know people, it’s better when I know them already n I’m not worried about saying something wrong

if someone does something that really bugs me or actively hurts me I’m logically going to expect the same thing from them even if I keep giving them chances to not do that thing bc I wanna be polite/forgiving

I love my friends they are great

I’m a student but at some point I’m hoping that will change to some video game related art job. otherwise I take commissions

uhhhhhh I like xanemarth and that’s kinda it for xane, he’s not close to many other people from the games

idk if I have anything specific? I’d say xane and tiki because they feel a lil too much like siblings to me to be in a relationship, but to be fair I haven’t gotten to develop any kind of relationship at all with any tiki atm and it’d depend on the person
