Rise of the Archer - First Entry

Mind Flayers abducted Ayla from her post in Neverwinter while helping refugees. After escaping the Nautiloid she struggles with her new role as leader, especially with a certain Wizard questioning her leadership at nearly every step.

This journal chronicles her thoughts, struggles and accomplishments throughout her journey for a cure for the tadpole and the fight against the Absolute.

First Entry:

I'm alive. For the most part. I have a few moments to write this all down in case I need to look back.

In all my wildest dreams I never thought my life would fall into this mess. I was kidnapped by Mind Flayers.

We were on a ship. A Nautiloid, Shadowheart called it. We managed to escape but not before I was infected with their tadpole. Disgusting creature. Like a blood-sucking vampire but eats your brains instead of drinking blood.

Ugh. Just thinking about it gives me the willies.

Gale explained to me a bit more what being infected means…

Death.

Death is the enviable end. Even now my eye aches. I feel it squirming behind my socket. Every time I blink I feel pressure.

I had the mind to pluck my eye out. Grit my teeth and force myself to extract it with my dagger and all would be well again. But every time I lift my dagger anywhere near my face the pain becomes overwhelming.

We need to find a cure.

This is only the first night but I've gathered a few companions who were also on the ship.

Shadowheart, Gale, and Astarion. I'm not sure where the Githyanky has gone. Or even if she survived the crash. I'm sure we'll find more survivors in our travels.

Astarion and Shadowheart said they're from Baldur's Gate. I suspect we can find healing there.

Second Entry

He likes to feel safe, silly and childish with you, having learned to take care of himself since… well, always, it was a drain on the soul. what a relief to his heart to be able to be childish with you, like a break.

He still has certain self-esteem problems, his eyes always dilate when you say nice things about him (or when he's about to jump and attack ((kiss you)))

It's not like Mychael is an uncivilized being, but you've taken the time to teach him several things on dates you've had, things that perhaps he didn't know due to his isolation from society.

You're actually a little scared of what could happen if they discover Mychael's existence, so if you live together it will be in the forest.

Sometimes he is selfish and brainwashes you when he wants more kisses or just feels too needy to let you go out with your friends.

For him there is no such thing as breaking up, he will beg you for answers and ask countless times what the problem is or what you want him to change, as a last resort he would brainwash you so that you stay by his side, even if it's like a shell.

"They were 20 and decided to end their life just like this. They went up to the 21st floor and left without saying "goodbye." I wonder if when they were flying through the air they remembered… ..I once told him if you kill yourself I'm gonna kill myself too!" Basically Mychael not being able to continue with his life alone once he meets MC, if you leave, so does he.

The first time you had sex, bro, Mychael almost had to be chained up, he acted like a spoiled kid when he tried his new favorite candy.

Mychael composes songs for MC, he will even try to get new instruments, new talents, anything to entertain his firefly and have them stay in the forest with him.

Is the kind of old-fashioned sculpted lover, don't doubt that you will look like a 60-year-old couple with 3 chickens and a dog, your wish is his command. If you can't go out to eat at an elegant restaurant, he will get a recipe book to prepare the best dishes and put candles on the table. If you don't have new clothes, he will knit what you like. If you don't like the color of the cabin, he will paint everything as many times as necessary.

Physically? Mychael will never hurt you, using guilt as manipulation is not to his liking either, he loves you too much so he will only wash your brain to have a perfect life by your side, don't worry, you are safe from the world and you will have healing caresses every night , even if it is not today, if it is not tomorrow, you will learn to need it on your own and stay at will.

Mychael is terrified of people, the opinion of the masses made him think of himself as a monster and he can't help but blurt out little comments mocking his own appearance. Being with you makes him forget what he is. Why was he surprised? Because you didn't look away.

His saliva is a little salty and something tells me that he produces goo when he is excited, trust me (delulu)

John Shelby- Dancing

1 Year Old:

Music is heard throughout the house as Martha sits on the floor with her daughter in front of her

"Come on" Martha calls trying to encourage YN to walk over to her "YN, come on sweetheart, you gonna show your uncles you can walk?" the little girl just giggles crawling to her mum "I swear she walked this morning" Martha sighs in defeat hugging YN close. Tommy walks over to the little girl and helps her up on to her feet

"You gonna walk?" he asks letting her go watching her fall hitting her bottom on the floor. Finn the youngest Shelby brother at 3 years old starts laughing

"Come on YN I'll show you" he says holding her hand as she wobbly stands with the help off her mother "walk" he takes some steps with her then let's go of her hand. As YN gets more confident her speed picks up and she throws herself at Arthur. He picks her up and bounces her in his arms

"She walked!" he shouts excitedly as everyone else starts clapping and cheering while YN giggles in her uncles arms. He spins her around dancing with her in his arms. This was the start of YN's love of music and dancing.

8 Years Old:

YN's father and uncles finally return from war and end up at the garrison drinking. YN still loves music, always dancing which is what she has been doing all day

"Daddy please?" YN asks begging her father to dance with her

"No now YN" John sighs missing his late wife who passes away not that long ago. YN pouts, but her uncle Tommy steps in

"I'll dance with you. Come on" Tommy finishes his drink and stands up turning the record player up. YN wraps her arms around her uncles waist, standing on his feet.

16 Years Old:

After her first heartbreak she would of course go to her uncles about it. That's when Arthur suggests that they go to the garrison to have a drink and try to cheer YN up

"Ok then what happened?" Finn asks lifting his drink to take a sip

"He walked off laughing" YN says upset

"I'll fucking kill him" John grumbles. Esme, YNs stepmum tries to calm down her husband

"It's fine dad"

"YN he was your first love, it's ok to feel sad" Ada says hugging her niece

"I've got an idea" Grace smiles from behind the bar. She walks over to record player and start to play the record that's already on there "up you get"

"What are you doing Grace?" YN huffs not in the mood

"Your not sitting her drinking yourself silly" Grace pulls YN up and starts to dance "your not going to cry over him, your going to celebrate"

"Grace I'm really not in the mood"

"You know what Grace has a point. Come on YN" Esme says standing up joining YN and Grace

"Fine" YN sighs giving in and smiling slightly at her step mum.

As the even goes on and on, YN's dad and her uncles get quiet tipsy. Grace has changed the record many times and now YN is dancing with her uncles all laughing. It's the first time since the war that everyone was seen smiling and forgetting about the world around them.

21 Years Old:

YN's wedding was a bitter sweet day. She married the love of her life, but was missing her mum, dad and aunt Polly. Arthur was the one to walk her down the aisle while Tommy had the typical father daughter dance with his niece

"Thank you for today. It was perfect"

"Ya mum, dad and Poll would haunt me if I let anything go wrong" this makes YN chuckle

"I miss them"

"I know, but today is a day of celebration. To get drunk and dance the night away"

And that's what they did. YN got to dance with Tommy, Arthur and Finn, all her uncles tipsy

"You know we will kill 'im if he ever hurts you"

"I know Finn" YN laughs with her uncle "I don't think he'd do anything. Think he's to scared to even upset me"

"Good"

23 Years Old:

"Come on Harry" YN encourages her son who's just over a year old "you gonna walk for us?" but in response Harry babbles clapping his hands

"Music got you walking when you were his age" Arthur comments walking over to the record playing, turning it on

"Come on little man" Tommy pulls Harry up to his feet "maybe you want dance"

"You as well come on" Finn pulls YN up as music starts blaring through the house.

The house fills with laughs, dancing and cheers when Harry takes his first steps.

Inexperienced kind owner seeing you get into one of your bratty moods, and getting very confused. You are always so desperate and well behaved, the pet store owner even said you were perfect for someone who's never owned a micro before.

Asking r/MicroOwners and r/InconTrainingAdvice for help. "Its always so well behaved, but these past couple days it seems to have deluded itself into thinking its a person? Anyone know why this happens/how to fix it?"

The comments all have a consensus: All they need to do is put you in your place, agressively. Whether its a naturally rebellious micro or a well behaved one developing a bratty streak, the best way to stop an incon from thinking it is a person is to demonstrate exactly how much more power a real person has, and exactly how worthless incons are. Some even go into great detail about what tends to work best in their experience.

The next day, your owner tosses you into the cat's litterbox. "This is your home until you get rid of those silly thoughts of personhood you've been having."

For the next week, the only time they take you out of the litter box is to press you up against their cock or ass as they use the restroom, so you get a facefull of piss, shit, or gas. Then its back to the litterbox you go, with the rest of the waste of my far more important pet.

The next week is hell. Giving myself even the tinies idea that I'm human making it hurt so, so much more- even if I would once beg for this kind of treatment, it feels so different actually being shoved into it....

By the time they pick me up, I'm already expecting to be shoved into something gross, my miniscule body already covered as I whimper and try my best to fight back... but surprisingly, it doesnt come. Practically sobbing in relief as I'm washed...... clean, for the first time in ages....

Nodding frantically, my voice barely a whimper as I agree...
