Endgame
I was kinda meh about it previously (very little expectations) but went in with an open mind nonetheless. Oh boy...
What I liked:
Tony Stark’s arc. Whether you like him or hate him, it’s been very very clear that Tony gets the juiciest lines, the best scenes and the most emotional beats out of all the characters. I’m a stan but not a fan of how they shove him in everywhere and I’m still not over the stupidity that was Civil War, but Tony Stark is the beating heart of the mcu and they don’t let you forget it for a second.
Natasha’s arc. I loved having her be incharge trying to keep the heroes together and showing actual feelings.Hated the ending but atleast she had more emotions in her pinky then the rest of the avengers combined (CGI hulk for the entirety of the film??? who the f thought that was a smart idea???). I think I cried more for her then I did Tony. Like right out sobbing. Natasha Romanoff ,The BlackWidow, deserved better. I’m not saying Clint should have died, but yea, in this case, sorry Clint, you should have died. And this isnt about platonic love vs family love vs romantic love. Im all for Clint and Laura, would have been clintasha if the movies had just let them be. I just don’t like that they killed her and had her body lie there in basically the same pose as Gamora. Then used her death to make our heroes resolve ‘stronger’.Like comeon, that shit is soooo old.
Nebula. Loved loved loved. Her scenes with Tony at the start, her actual growth as a character. I can easily say I loved her the best.
Scott Lang. I have yet to see antman and the wasp, that’s how meh I am towards this character, but he was one of the better parts of the movie. Paul Rudd pulled of a good job with his desperation over Cassie and in that one scene where he talks about Hope >>>>>>>>>>Everything Steve Rogers.
Sam Wilson: I’m glad he got the shield. His one scene with Steve at the end... I just wanted to hug him.
One 3 second scene between Carol and Rhodey, the holograph one. I dont know why I got excited, it’s not like Marvel has any respect for their own comic canon ships.
A few quips were funny :America’s ass, Nebula and Tony, Rhodey careful on re-entery, Nebula basically,Asguardians of the Galaxy.
That’s it. That’s all I liked.
Im not gonna talk about the plot holes or the actual plot itself (Like , ok so basically time travel has NO consequences. Ok wow... Cant wait till everyone who can get their hands on a time machine does so and goes off making new timelines as they please..Morgan H Stark ,here ya go chicky) coz people who actually see the major major issues have said it, those who don’t care have said so and those who refuse to see it have said so.
Everything else...wtf was that? Thor, Steve,Bruce. I don’t know man.
MCU has always delivered ‘moments’ .Those moments are epic-ish and impactful in a high octane way. But everything in between those moments is mostly either blah, disconnected or very shallow.
I mean, mcu fans will love it no matter what but this was the worst of the avengers movies out there (yes, even more then Ultron). I know people have ragged on IW  but this was a mess, maybe because of the hype around it.
