I think I'm also annoyed with this attitude I've seen among ToyHouse users where you HAVE to use all of your characters at a certain frequency to earn the right to have them, and if you stagnate in your "care" for them at all your right to them is revoked. Like idk I think you people are insane for trying to police the usage of OCs, things that Are Not Real and my ownership of does not prohibit you from using your own in the way you see fit.

This is a "vocal minority" thing I think; I don't think it's really a "site culture" issue, but it's still been annoying to see nonetheless. Like, I want to draw my OCs more or get more art of them, but I've been busy doing my own things and haven't been able to do any of the drawing plans I have in mind for them !! And as for getting art, I don't have the money to be constantly ordering comms. I think it sucks to see people equate how much art you have gotten/ drawn for an OC to how much you care for them. I am constantly playing with my OCs in my head I think that's enough for me, and if you think I'm neglecting them then you can suck it. <3

I'm in this server that's like, furry-art centric (not exclusive to that it's just the main common interest) and people talk a lot about constantly disconnecting with characters, and I always see people I follow on Toyhouse reselling characters and it's like. Idk sometimes I feel weird about having a bajillion OCs and always on the lookout for more and I never disconnect from any of them. It's like collecting little dolls or something that I have little purposes for and there's been like, once in recent memory where I got a character and realized I didn't connect with them at all. The rest of My Hoard (said affectionately) make me sick if I think about getting rid of even if I don't often get art for some of them or haven't expanded bios or anything. Maybe it's indicative of a problem or something idk, I really think it's just a collecting thing for me for some of them and maybe that's weird to people but it's fun to me. I'll keep growing my crew of lads and it'll be my own way of having fun with OCs.

Though I think it sucks I can never trade OCs with people bc I explode if I think about doing it.
