i made a sticker sheet for one of my favourite animes ever, for anime north 2023 this month! One of the drawings I did for my first ever con was Baccano, so I wanted to pay tribute. It makes me overjoyed the fandom is alive and kicking in 2023. if you can’t get to AN and you want the sticker sheet, keep an eye out this summer for my online shop!!

A lot of the media I first experienced when I was a teen was so formative for me as an artist, Baccano was one of them - and I love inputting vintage aesthetics in my art whenever possible (unfortunately not possible half of the time). I've watched the anime many times, and I'm almost done the 1st book, unfortunately I learned theres 22 other books (DW voice: I can't read!!! 💔) Planning this sheet took a LOT of work - each individual sticker composition, trashing and reworking sketches, research and visual reference, drawing inspiration from the art nouveau and art deco periods, as well as film noir era posters. 

There were countless times where I regretted my choices and thought, "Oh man, why did I do this to myself?! I think I should have drawn chibis of the characters instead!!". Planning and drawing this took so long that I couldn’t envision it being complete for my deadline. But with the power of god and anime I pulled through. I'm quite happy I went with this more graphic design approach! I definitely want to try more graphic design stuff in the future, it’s a lot of fun 🤔🤔

I ended up with a completely NEW pinterest board of 125 art deco related pins over the course of drawing this... help

Narita writing shit like lua viewing ladd as necessary to both life and death and ladd losing his left ring finger saving her. And claire taking every tragedy and absurdity and absorbing it to become the most terrifying man alive and then seeing a boy with incredibly kind eyes and fearing that he will devour and shatter him. And czeslaw. And a monster coming into existence just to protect people because they all believed in it, before melting into the dawn. And a train that ran during the prohibition that served as a site for immense violence getting destroyed and the only part that exists to remind people what happened was a love letter carved out of the roof.

Then turning around in the afterword and going "so I've heard that a lot of people buy books based on how the afterword was written. Anyways I think I wrote a story that's very funny and stupid and I hope to do that more :) thanks."

Commissions for Palestine!

So! I have posted commissions on my side blog but let me do it here again. I will be tagging my main fandoms!

I realized it's not on my sheets because I assumed it would be a given but: will draw your ocs :3

For my art commissions, I will be going like this:

Coloring Style: Monochrome Sketch: $5

Fully Rendered: $10

Lineart: $15

Once you chose the art style you like, I'll be adding to the price based on how you want it drawn.

Portrait: $5

Half Body: $10

Full Body: $20

And if you want to add an extra character in the same piece, that will be half of the price added onto the final total.

So let's say you want it as a fully rendered painting, thats $10, and you want a half body drawing of your character, thats another $10, and if you want to add another character in that canvas, since we have $10+$10=$20, ill be halving 20 and adding it to the price.

So $10+$10+$10= $30 dollars on the final.

For writing comms I'll be doing $5 for every thousand words! We can adjust the price ofc since i may not write evenly in the thousands, but I'll ensure it'll be fair for us all.

I can also do shitty meme redraws for like 5 dollars teehee.

I'll only write for fandoms i know the media well! So ofc MazM but I can do Identity V, Baccano! And whatever has my fancy. We can discuss that in DMs!

I am not financially independent, so as payment I ask that all proceeds go to a palestinian in needs gofundme or towards esims since those seem to be direct ways to help. If a vetted charity is preferred that is alright as well! We will discuss in dms.
