It’s wild to me that some of you have entire discourse accounts dedicated to shipping hate & over analyzing shipping between the anime, manga, & light novels to the point of making harassment campaigns against the authors/writers of the side stories. Yet y’all don’t send the same hate towards Ikemoto & his highly suspect ass art style with the way he draws some of these kids.

I wanted to show with this Picture a Piece of Reality, something thats absolutely natural and normal. In Anime almost everyone has a shaved Face and it seems like no one ever grew a Beard, but it's in my Opinion normal that a Man grows a Beard after at least two Days.

And Gaara is no Exception.

I think that Gaara wants to keep his Business Man Image and thats why he does shave his Beard every single Day to keep his Face absolutely clean. I think if he wouldn't be the Kazekage, he would keep such a decent Beard. But he simply has an Image as Business Man. And he wants to keep that.

This Picture takes Place in Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Series, a short time before the Series starts. Shiina is two years old and Gaara is 32 years old.

You must know that [of course] at Night and when he has Days off, he doesn't style his Hair. So it's his old messy Head every Morning, the Head we miss so much in Canon. 🥹

Gaara is definitely not impressed by doing that every Day. 🤣

the boruto manga hurts my brain because logically I know who that is but at the same time who is that? i dont even think theyre ugly but i just cant connect them to who theyre supposed to be.

like how is that sasuke? he doesnt act like sasuke and he doesnt look like sasuke so my brain wont connect the dots. the anime does a bit better with this but i hate the artstyle. ikemotos art style isnt bad it just doesnt work for a naruto sequel.

Haters are acting crude and ignorant these days. That's nothing new. Ikemoto's pushing the bait ship of Boruto & Sarada, doesn't help. They are since of the beginning not semicanon.

They still see each other as silbings. A friend of mine said, that shonen ships are easy to read, if you watch the girl's pov.

The heart and feelings of a girl won't change.

Let's see, how Sarada usually acts with boys, ( even the BSA's blushes are existing)

Sarada said in ch. 700, that she and Boruto are similiar. It makes sence to me. Both have the same descendants Ashura and Indra, Hagoromo Ootsuski. They're in a family way connected.

Sarada rejected Boruto more than ones, if someone asked about her feelings.

Sarada and Boruto have close bond now like Naruto and Sasuke had later in Naruto classic.

Her confirmation of silbing feelings will happen a 2nd time in the manga.

Next one, she doesn't act jealous around Boruto, if Sumire is involved.

And i believe, we only didn't get a girl speach between them, because Sumire believes her words in ch. 19 and doesn't see her as a rival. Of course you're allowed to hug someone, who's important to you without romantic feelings.

Kishi also put the most lovely connections between the silbing ships, especially between Sasuke and Itachi.

The hug is explained here, even B.'s mouth is so close to Sarada's ear.

But that's Ikemoto's style to oversexualize his characters and we saw in one of the last chapters again, that Sarada doesn't seem jealous, when Sumire was deeply worried for B.

BUT we got a short glance from Kawaki to Sarada, who seemed worried for our future Hokage.

Next one Borumitsu:

Ikemoto put the strings together and worked all ships out, which happened from 1st to last.

1st Borumitsu

2nd Borusumi

3rd Kawasara.

We got a confirmation from B.'s side for Mitsuki after the BSA happened. We know from the beginning Mitsuki loves Boruto from the 1st glance. The same happened with Sakura for Sasuke.

Ikemoto destroys slowly every ship, which won’t become canon. So BSA won't become canon.

It doesn't look like it's romantic connected

Next one: we will get something for BoruSumi in the next months .

Last one will be KawaSara, but we get crumbs every chapter here and there. They're both connected through the topics Hokage, Shinobi life and their village. Sarada acts like a kind teacher to him. Surprisingly, she's the only one, who could reach him in this episode. Also Naruhina and SasuSaku had a romantic moment under the full moon.

Sarada doesn't still know, the hole truth about the happenings in ch. 66-68.

Eida manipaluted her, after she told her a part of the truth and hide a part of it, that Boruto wanted to kill his own father. Eida seperated them from each other.

Next Naruto:

Naruto is an important connection between them from the beginning. At the moment, Sarada gets the news, that he's alive. She will change her pov.

There are already little foreshadowings.

In opening 7, you have two versions of Kawaki's back. For a few episodes it's black, after Sarada puts her glasses off. Later it becomes light.

Means in the beginning she distrusts him, but at a certain point she will trust him again and their ship will develop further.

This will change after a time, if not it would be a plot hole.

Only Kishi can write Sasuke right

Anime fillers,novels,fanfictions,doujins...all of them get Sasuke's characterization wrong

There are alot of subtle details to his personality(which makes him more humane) which these amateur untalented writers cannot even comprehend

But fandom will shit on kishi and hype these below average authors because they finally get their self insert fantasy

I've seen some fanfictions that did Sasuke quite right, yet I'll say something here that might be controversial: The current Sasuke (that is, the one that appears in Boruto), isn't as good as the original despite being also written by Kishimoto.

Besides the fact that having a spin-off was never Kishimoto nor Ikemoto's intention (they genuinely thought SP was going to make a new version of the story with Ikemoto's art style, like a reboot of sorts), which forced Ikemoto to come up with a new story and that Kishimoto had to take over; Sasuke's character consists mostly in an exploration of topics/human emotions, Kishimoto used Sasuke as a way of exploring issues that went far beyond his comprehension, seeking possible answers to questions such as "what is one to do in the face of social injustice?" and so on.

Since these conundrums were answered (or left unanswered as in doing so it posed more thematic issues to be explored within an almost exhausted narrative), Sasuke's main core as a character was fulfilled, so extending his "life" beyond his narrative importance inside a product in which he does nothing more than contradict his original purpose (he is no longer the explorative force of any topic, being a benefactor of the protagonist), kills any leftover of his original characterization.

How do you feel about about naruto and sasuke’s adult designs? I hate them Naruto looks like a bootleg Ellen DeGeneres and sasuke looks like an emo Severus Snape.

Not as bad as people make them out to be but not Kishi's best work either. Honestly the art is absolutely horrendous and inconsistent in the Boruto anime and Ikemoto's style is... not flattering at all. It's baffling why Ikemoto doesn't give Sasuke "eye light" like he gives female characters with same eye colour. I mean Kishi gives Sasuke it when he draws him with colour and since Ikemoto gives it to female characters in black and white drawing, he should give it to Sasuke as well for consistency. But whatever.

Of course there are exceptions.

But considering how Ikemoto draws the girls always like that, it's odd.

It is odd though that Kishi had adult Naruto design already (that Jiraiya book) and in his imagination drawing of Naruto as Hokage he has longer hair as well. So it's weird what he went for in the end. As for Sasuke, his design is kinda inconsistent in Boruto verse even when Kishi draws him. Even his jaw is sometimes wrong.

How are you liking the timeskip designs?? I mean, they could be way better I'm disappointed because I felt the designs before the timeskip had more effort put on them? My opinion on them so far are:

Chouchou:

I don't know. I don't think the new design fits her nicely? I always felt she had a traditional girly-like aura with his prev design. Look how almost all her jewelry was removed. I could be wrong but maaaybe Ikemoto saw that one fanart where she is together with Sarada where they came out of the gym? IDK it popped into my mind when I saw this. She keeps the kimono sleeves style I guess like Mitsuki. I was hoping she is just wearing this for her spar with Himawari but that is just pure denial from my part XD I don't like those butterfly hairclips at all.

Mitsuki:

Perhaps they went with this style bc he is now gloomy?? So plain goddamnit!! He doesn't stand at all vs the rest of the kids, even Inojin and Shikadai seem to have a little something more. I JUST hope it's not bc they are going to dispose of him because shitty plot reasons because I cannot understand why he is suddenly treated so poorly.

To me, they are both a downgrade. I am truly disappointed bc I know Mr. Ikemoto can do way better.

salad wins the ugliest, it’s tough competition against himawari but she wins because to be an ugly uchiha is some sort of special ugliness i would say, plus she has more screentime so it means you have to look at her more

himawari. her head. wtf.

inojin, he has everything to be pretty (ino and sai’s genetics) but he looks like a freak

kawaki, it doesn’t help that i only know him in the anime and ikemoto’s style, so he’s ugly

boruto, his face could be ok in kishi’s style but the hair is hideous. not that bad, but also far from good

shikadai, very similar to shikamaru but cute eyes

mitsuki, orochimaru “woah i fucked up sasuke’s test tube baby but i won’t fuck up mine”

chocho, the anime style is ugly and so is ikemoto’s art style but she is the closest to cute among them. cute in kishi’s style, i would say

Gaara did sleep a while longer after his Children drew on his Face, and especially Aoi couldn't wait for his Reaction.

She knew his first way after waking up is into the Bathroom, so he would realize what happened really fast. So exciting!

And then their Father finally woke up, surrounded by his Family laughing and smiling. He was happy because he enjoys his Family being happy and healthy, so he didn't think twice about it.

At least until he walked into the Bathroom, still tired and yawning, and then ... finally the look in the Mirror with Aoi and Jiro standing in the Doorway, watching his Reaction.

At first he had to rub his eyes, looking at his Face, and in just one second he realized ... Aoi did a prank on him again. He didn't even think that Jiro was involved, he knew his Daughter pretty well to know that this was all her Idea.

And when he saw the whole Family standing in the Doorway, laughing ...

All he could do is looking like: My Daughter is a little Monster.

In a loving way of course! 🤣

Gladly it was his Day off and he didn't have to clean this mess before going to work, haha. 😂

By the way! Normally Gaara has here his Boruto Hairstyle. But when he has a Day off, he doesn't style his Hair.

My rank for new generation timeskip.

1. Sumire Kakei.

OMG she look like kpop idol with that dress in good way. 10/10

2. Sarada Uchiha.

She wear black and red, it make Akatsuki vibe. Verry rebbel and strong as expected from Uchiha girl. 9,5/10

3. Chocho Akimichi.

OMG I like the way she wear butterfly pin and cardigan. But i feel sad they don't give her Akimichi symbol to her outfit. 9/10

4. Mitsuki.

To be honest he always wear more traditional thing since he was young. In new era he give same thing, he still use traditional outfit but more modern style that really good for him. The most important they don't give us anoying change. 8,5/10.

5. Boruto Uzumaki.

I like his outfit look mesh and rebbel in same time he look like real "hot villain". But his outfit made me worry, his outfit look like Sasuke. That make me think his dead. One thing i hate most they replace Shikadai friendship bracelet with random bracelet. I feel uneasy too it. 8/10

6. 8th Hokage Son Shikadai Nara

Honestlly i don't know what to say about my baby outfit. For me they not bad not good to, they ok for me. I like his pants a lott, they look normal not anoying. His jacket make me into LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP. I more like his open his jacket like he do when he was young, but i like how Nara symbol placement. He look proud as Nara (Offcourse new hokage is Nara now). The most i love is his belt same with Shikamaru and they outfit colour look similiar. 7,5/10

7. Kawaki

To be honest I almost into his outfit, and then i see his back. His hair really suit him, jacket is really badass but HIS PANTS REALLY DISGUSTED. I hate someone use that type pants even in real life. The pants make him lower than Boruto for me 6,5/10.

8. Himawari

Someone said, our expectation was make us disapointed and i understand with that now. There rumored Himawari will have long hair that was made me happy but sadlly reality was dissapointed me. She don't look great in long hair, and the outfit is not great like other girls. But i love the way sunflower in her shirt much. BTW Himawari mean Sunflower so that really cute. 6/10.

9. Inojin

Ok Ikemoto, what are you doing with the most handsome boy from the most beautyfull woman and man in Konoha? I can't think anything about that. He look like Daemon when i see him first, i still hope that was Daemon but that Inojin. He look like go to Gaara Barbershop and the outfit really look bad. I will cry but some poeple in Twitter said he look like Jungkook BTS when his debut and look like Inumaki Toge from Jujutsu Kaisen. That made me think better and not give him -1000. For me his design is 5/10.
