That’s honestly a legitimate theory of how palaeoart and interpretations had improved the years. I never would consider that until now, so hats off to you!

And yes, the Crystal Palace exhibit still exists today in the Crystal Palace Park in London. Not shown in the link is the fact that one of the statues of Iguanodon even had a tea party set within it before it was sealed over by the sculptor. 

As public perception continues to improve with age and wisdom alongside dinosaur discoveries, so too would the anthropomorphism and human bias become less as we move on from ‘big scaly monsters’ to real animals.
