Image 9 of 20I suched as that Grammarly allows you set a creating genre, which transforms how you could edit your job. Photo 10 of 20Compared to various other on-line grammar checkers, I located Grammarly regularly discovered more errors and also made much better recommendations. Photo 11 of 20It takes a few seconds for Grammarly to refine your record.
This way, I really did not need to wait for it to refine my text several times. Image 13 of 20I had Grammarly check student work as well as a sentence error test file I produced to see the amount of sorts of mistakes it could capture. It surpassed other grammar checkers. Photo 14 of 20I suched as exactly how simple it was to approve Grammarly’s recommendations from the program, online or in Word documents.

I found this helpful when blogging about different products on the internet. Picture 16 of 20Grammarly offers numerous strategies, however they are rather expensive month to month. Photo 17 of 20The free version catches fewer mistakes than the paid-for version, yet I advise using it for at the very least a little while since Grammarly will email you discounts for the costs variation.
The company prepares to launch an Android version quickly. Photo 19 of 20Grammarly has a robust, searchable Frequently asked questions web page where you can find help with any troubles you might have with the program. Photo 20 of 20Grammarly’s on the internet text box mosaic was the least intrusive and also least disruptive of the software program we tested.
Compared to the competitors, it isn’t as buggy or sluggish, and also it captures more errors as well as offers excellent suggestions for repairing them. Grammarly is specifically handy if you have a respectable take care of on grammar as well as spelling currently as well as know what you’re doing. I’m not exactly sure I ‘d suggest this program to English language learners, pupils or creating beginners.
Download Grammarly For Wps Office
I ran Grammarly with a handful of tests and also used the program in my day-to-day writing for over a month to get a feeling of exactly how handy it is. The software discovers comma mistakes easily, which is among one of the most typical errors I saw as a writing teacher.
For the tests, I created a paper which contained sentences with common English grammar errors along with student-written sentences that consisted of errors or negative routines to avoid when composing. Grammarly racked up a 60 percent detection price, which, while not excellent, blew the competitors out of the water; the next best rating was 30 percent from ProWritingAid. Grammarly has a free version, which works, however the service desires you to update and is regularly advising you concerning all the features you’re losing out on.
As a result of this, I wouldn’t recommend installing the program unless you intend to upgrade to premium. Once you’ve registered for the totally free version, Grammarly begins sending you e-mails for discounts on the premium plan, so I likewise suggest awaiting those before you update to the full cost choice.
Download Grammarly For Wps Office
You can after that scroll via the doc to deal with mistakes. In instance a mistake confuses you, the system offers a short description for its tip. While useful for somebody skilled in grammar and also punctuation, these aren’t fairly finding out devices. They operate a lot more like tips. When you acquire the costs version, you obtain weekly standing updates that let you recognize exactly how you’re doing, which I believed was a wonderful function.
With Grammarly, it’s ideal to wait until you complete making up before you inspect for mistakes. Despite the fact that it is better at checking your job as you go than any various other program, there’s a lag in its ability to register when you’re repairing typos on your very own. Therefore, you’ll intend to wait to click through the testimonial instead of try to edit within the message box or electronic record.
Among the aspects that makes Grammarly the most effective choice for an on the internet grammar mosaic is exactly how easy it is to use on various internet apps and also in Microsoft Word. Unlike other grammar checkers, the application isn’t invasive, and it appears in texts boxes online. A number of the other programs I assessed made it tough to properly determine the trouble message, however Grammarly’s red highlighting is easy to see as well as clearly marks where the mistake is.
Download Grammarly For Wps Office
The site after that redirects you to a suite where you can read the message in your e-mail or message with more information and also useful input from the checker. There’s a short lag while the software application analyzes your material, and it adds a couple of additional steps to your creating process. Nonetheless, Grammarly’s helpful and also proper recommendations trump the minor delay.
You can compose and save records within Grammarly if you would certainly like, and you can also mount an application on your phone to check your composing on the move. While I think Grammarly functions far better than its competitors, its price is a little much. It sets you back just under $30.00 for the premium version every month.
The cost of the solution is reduced when you pay in advance for longer amount of times. The yearly strategy is the finest offer if you can manage parting with $139.95 upfront. You can change to any of these plans whenever you would certainly such as, so I suggest trying the monthly version for some time prior to committing to the quarterly or annual strategies.
Download Grammarly For Wps Office
This is really helpful because you utilize different voices when writing for different target markets, and it’s great that Grammarly can adapt to different kinds of tasks. The application also makes it very easy to ignore its advice, which is especially practical if the software obtains glitch in your paper, which occurs occasionally.

I located this feature helpful when I utilized unusual terms planned for an interior audience. Registered subscribers can get 24-hour support from Grammarly’s site via a demand attribute. If you can’t discover the answer you require on the searchable Frequently asked questions page, the system motivates you to send a ticket. The solution guarantees to reply to your issue within a day.
Tumblr media
From the homepage, you can develop or upload files as well as edit them straight. You can additionally add a Grammarly extension in Microsoft Word. While I found this grammar checker the least invasive as well as buggy, there were times I had to await it to tons, and often it didn’t immediately sign up the adjustments I made within the paper.

Grammarly is a good device that can assist you prevent typos when working online. It’s not fairly excellent sufficient to keep those who aren’t confident in their composing abilities from making large errors in their material. It also includes a couple of extra actions to your writing process, and also there is a small hold-up while the system checks your job.
I suched as having another collection of eyes on my work, and utilizing the program gave me added self-confidence prior to I sent my writing to my editor. While it’s nice not to miss out on a comma in an e-mail or while publishing on social networks, I’m not certain the program deserves its hefty price month-to-month, especially if you’re a newbie looking to discover more about writing.
This Grammarly testimonial will certainly dive in deep with benefits and drawbacks to completely unload just how this system can be of usage to. Understanding these facets will certainly be necessary in determining if Grammarly fits your needs or otherwise – Download Grammarly For Wps Office. Starting a business is not for the faint of heart. It is very stressful and demands practically all of your time and attention. On the other hand, it can also be a great personal and professional experience. Here are 50 tips to help you on your entrepreneurial adventure.
Tumblr media
1. Discover your skills. Not everyone has what it takes to start a business, that does not mean that your idea is not brilliant, only that you may not have some vital personality characteristics to launch your company. Before investing time or resources, evaluate yourself and see if you have the typical skills of an entrepreneur.
2. Develop an idea. Don’t start a business just because something is hot or because you think marketing it will make you money. Develop a business concept that you are passionate about related to something in which you have some experience. Next, think of a product or service that you think will improve people’s lives.
3. Prove your credibility. Once you have an idea, discover how you can turn it into reality. Is the product something that people want or need? Can you make a profit selling it? Does it work?
4. Write a business plan. A solid business plan will guide you forward. You will also need it to present your idea to potential investors. It should include a mission statement, executive summary, company summary, product or service samples, description of your target market, financial projections, and cost of operations.
5. Identify your market. Even if you have detected some interest in your business, you need to do more homework. Evaluate the market so that you sell to the people who will surely make the purchase. Take a competitive evaluation.
6. Determine the costs. Do additional research and learn about standard costs within the industry. This will not only help you run the business more efficiently, but it will also be valuable information for investors.
7. Establish a budget. Once you determine how much money you will have to work with, find out how much you need to develop your product or service and create a marketing plan.
8. Find the right investors. You’re going to need some type of financing to get started, whether it’s from savings, credit cards, loans, venture capitalists, or donations. Find an investor who shares your passion, someone you think you can work with.
9. Listen to investors. Like it or not, they will have an opinion when it comes to your business. Listen to their advice and suggestions, but that doesn’t mean you have to do everything they tell you.
10. Have a great support system. You are going to invest a lot of time and resources in your new business adventure. Make sure your family agrees. They should be aware that this process will challenge them financially and emotionally.

11. Determine the legal structure. Determine what is best for you: being the sole owner, having a partner, a limited liability company, an S corporation, a non-profit organization, or a cooperative.
12. Select your company name. Decide on a name that goes with your brand, then see if that’s available and if you can use it freely in your country and state.
13. Register the name of your business. If the name you want is available, register it as soon as possible in the corresponding offices.
14. Take advantage of resources at no cost. These can be social networks or even a person who offers you advice and experience to move your startup forward.
15. Buy insurance. Make sure you have the right insurance for your company. This can vary according to the type of business. If you work from home, make sure your insurance includes theft or damage to company assets as well as liability for damage related to it.
16. Fix the ledgers. Keep track of all the money that comes in and goes out of the business.
17. Choose the right location. Choose a location that suits the needs of your business, one that offers an opportunity for growth, the right level of competence, and proximity to suppliers. It must also be accessible to customers.
18. Don’t worry about an office. If you are not making a profit, do not be mortified by acquiring a space to work, you can do it from home.
19. The patent can wait. Patents can cost a lot of money. Pay this amount when you are sure you have enough clients to pay off the bills.
20. Be flexible. Odds are, your original idea will have to be modified. Being able to adapt and change something to offer the customer something they want will determine whether or not you will be successful.
21. Sare your ideas with friends and family. The people closest to you are the ones who will be the most honest with you about your idea. Feel free to seek their advice and suggestions.
22. Ignore the negatives. There is a big difference between constructive criticism and someone quickly saying that your business will fail. The best thing to do is ignore these people.
23. Don’t be angry. If your idea is rejected by clients or investors, don’t succumb to anger. Find out what they didn’t like, make adjustments, and come back to them once you’ve changed what they wanted.
24. Deliver the product or service quickly. Your business is a work in progress and if you launch a product or service quickly, you will be able to build a community of customers who can provide you with valuable feedback that will help you improve your offer. As the founder of LinkedIn says “If you are not ashamed of the first launch of your product, you made it known very late”.
25. Offer new products or services. If you already have clients make sure you take care of them by giving them new products or services.
26. Be patient. Always keep in mind that success will not happen overnight. It’s going to take you some time before you win anything.
27. Deliver more than they ask for at the beginning. Once you have a new client make sure you go the extra mile for at least the first month. You’ll have that customer hooked.
28. Post on your blog all the time. Don’t be ashamed to share your triumphs and struggles. Customers will enjoy your honesty.
29. Avoid fights with partners. If you have disagreements, fix the problems as soon as possible. Fighting can distract you from doing things right in business.
30. Don’t worry about losing a percentage of the company. An investor has acquired a share in your company. Recognize the fact that eventually at some point you will have to give up a portion of control of the business.
Get access to all of my Testimonials And Results
31. Hire a copywriter. Unless you can write very well, hire someone to write the emails for the target customers. It will also help you with press releases and other things that will bring out company news.
32. Prepare for meetings. When preparing for your meeting with a client, read as much as you can about the industry, your competition, and that client’s company.
33. Make a meeting agenda. Have the targets you want to touch on hand. Mail that agenda to your colleagues before the meeting so they can prepare too. Make sure these goals are clear and understood by everyone.
34. Don’t be afraid of the competition. Do not speak ill of the competition when you are with clients or investors. There is no need to be pitied. In fact, talking this way may turn customers away from competitors who offer a product or service that you don’t. Remember, when the competition leaves, there will be a market for your business. Use that knowledge as inspiration to do things better than your rival.
35. Benefit from word of mouth. Nothing beats good word-of-mouth marketing. Let your friends, family, and influencers share what your product or service does.
36. Offer a customer experience. An experience includes sensory marketing. This means managing colors, lights, scents, and so on. Integrate all these sensations into your offer, in such a way that they conquer the senses of your consumers.
37. Network. Don’t be afraid to go out and show your face to the public, whether it’s at a conference or just hanging out with a friend on a Friday night.
38. Give impeccable customer service. Interacting with people is an important part of your job. Your business could win new customers because you made them feel important. For example, Zappos was not the first online store to sell shoes, but the company perfected its customer service and won over many buyers.
39. Make sure your website works. Potential customers want to know as much as possible about your business, so access to it should be quick
40. Don’t worry too much about your finances. Some of the best businesses were launched when the economic situation was not the best for the world, so don’t think twice and go for it!
Get access to all of my Testimonials And Results
41. Make sure customers pay the bills. Make sure you receive payment for your product or service. Instead of being taken advantage of, set a certain time to make the payment. It also won’t hurt to accept credit cards or have the option of having them pay directly on your website.
42. Find the right employees. Hire the right people for the position. Even if it’s your business, you won’t be able to deal with everything, so you need qualified people to complete the job.
43. Assign responsibilities. Delegate achievable tasks to your work team.
44. Honesty is the best policy. If you have any employee issues, make sure they are resolved. Nobody likes talking behind their back.
45. Remember that opposites attract. Hire people with skills and personalities opposite to yours. They will challenge you and bring new things to your business.
46. Say goodbye to your social life. You are going to spend a lot of time dedicated to your business. Even if you plan a night out with friends, you can leave early because a light bulb went out. The good thing is that these people will understand you.
47. Accept that you will be the last person to get paid. As CEO, you will be the last to receive a check, and that will be until you have the appropriate earnings.
48. Don’t expect success right away. Just because your business hasn’t made you a millionaire (yet) doesn’t mean your business is a failure. If you have received some kind of profit doing something that you are passionate about, it is a success story, right?
49. Accept when it’s time to retire. Failure is inevitable. If things aren’t working out and you’ve done all you can, put your pride aside and shut down. Something like this is not easy to accept but it is for the best.
50. Don’t just trust the advice of others. Although I offer to give you these tips, perhaps the most important is something I learned the hard way: Even if many people offer their help, realize that in the end, you are the owner of the business and the person responsible for its success or failure. of the same. If you know what worked, you will have the skills and knowledge to move your business forward.

Ignored Your Blog for Months? 13 Tips for Getting It Back on Track
Come on, fess up!
You’ve done the unthinkable. You’ve let your beloved blog wither in the shadows of neglect.
Once a thriving haven of ideas and wisdom for your adoring readers, your blog is now just a wasteland of stale posts.
You’re bugged by the numbing guilt that you’ve let yourself down, and even worse, that you’ve let your readers down.
Will they even give a crap when they see your name pop into their flooded inboxes again? They’ve probably moved on. They’ve probably replaced you with someone they can count on.
Before you throw in the towel of defeat, know this — it’s not too late to fight for your blogging dream and claw back the attention of your readers.
But don’t just charge back into the arena frantically waving a flag.
Remember, it’s not who leaps in with chaotic enthusiasm who wins; it’s who plays the game with grit and strategy.
You Need to Get Your Head Back In the Game
Now’s the time to dive deep into your mind and clear the roadblocks that are waiting to trip you.
Maybe you regret letting your blog slip? Maybe you think it’s too late to save your blog? Maybe you fear that you’ve squandered any goodwill your readers had, and that they’ll never trust you again?
Make peace with the reason for your break. It could be as simple as a new baby, a new job, or a new relationship keeping you distracted. Or it could be deeper. Whatever the reason, revisit the passion that fueled you during your blogging honeymoon days and use it to add power to your comeback.
And stop inspecting the collateral damage of your neglected blog — plummeting traffic figures, zero social engagement, and the once steady stream of subscribers that’s now as dry as a river in a drought.
Focusing on the past sucks every ounce of energy you need to change your future. So throw aside any doubts, fears, and worries and look forward.
Concentrate on what needs to be done to make up for losses and get your blog humming again.
But you can’t just dive right back in. You need a plan.
13 Revival Tips That Will Restore Your Blog to Its Former Glory
I know you’re pumped to start blogging again, but you can’t just leap at your keyboard like an overzealous puppy.
Think about it — maybe your readers have moved on. Maybe they’re ticked off that you’ve left them hanging. Maybe they’re just not that into you anymore (gulp).
If you simply dive back in with blind faith and hope that your readers are still eagerly waiting for you, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.
The strongest move is to map out your revival plan before your first play. I’m talking the whole kit and kaboodle — email sequence, blog posts, fancy relaunch ideas — all with the life or death seriousness of a Super Bowl final.
Remember, any game plan that’s worth its salt is cram-packed with tactics that cover all the bases.
Here are 13 tips to build into your plan to stack the odds in your favor.
Tip #1. Suck It Up and Apologize
Like yesterday’s news, you’re no longer at the top of your readers’ minds. You could leap about in your underpants while they’re blindfolded for all the attention they’ll give you when you email them again.
You must begin by re-engaging your neglected list. You need to win back their attention, trust, and respect. And the first step is to send them an email that says:
“I owe you an apology … ”
You need to tell your subscribers you’re sorry for letting them down and explain what has kept you away. And whatever you do, don’t fall into the trap of making excuses to cover your butt, even if your reasons seem trivial or selfish.
Own your absence with raw honesty and a heartfelt apology, and watch your vulnerability draw them back to you like a magnet.
Tip #2. Prove That You’ll Put Their Needs First
The next step to healing your relationship with your readers is to make them feel like you have their backs — that you’re listening to their specific issues and that you’ll do your best to help them.
Send them a survey with one meaningful and open-ended question. But don’t call it a survey. Ask them to tell you about their situation or to offer their opinion, and they’ll be more willing to play ball.
You can then use their answers to tailor your next few blog posts to their specific wants and needs, guaranteeing that you’ll win back their affection.
You can even go one step further by rolling up your sleeves and jumping on the phone with them. They’ll be stunned into adoration by the personal connection in our cold, digital world.
And these readers will turn into your biggest fans, opening every email and sharing your posts with their friends.
Tip #3. Win Back Their Affection With a Shiny New Gift
Now that your readers are paying attention, you’re ready for your next re-engagement play — the freebie.
Think of it like a relationship — you’ve rekindled the spark of attraction and you’ve shown you care by listening to their needs. So next, you win back their affection with a gift.
And make sure you tell them it’s free. The word “free” will set your readers’ pulses racing as it releases a flood of happy chemicals through their bodies that are impossible to ignore.
You could design a new report, cheat sheet, or checklist, but if you’re looking for a gift that packs a punch, try joining the online quiz craze. Tap into your readers’ innate curiosity to find out what type they are, how much they score, or which category they fall into.
You’ll restore trust and respect by demonstrating you’re on-trend with your content and grow your shrinking list at the same time, as quizzes are often shared like crazy.
Tip #4. Show Them a Crystal Ball
Let’s assume your readers totally dig you again. Even if you’re back on their radar, what’s to stop them getting distracted next time you contact them?
They could miss your email as they dizzy themselves scrolling past all the clutter in their inboxes. Or they could be sidelined by the unpredictability of life.
But there’s a way you can set a honey pot for their attention so they don’t drift away before you’ve become a sought-after fixture in their life again …
You can prime their minds to be on the lookout for everything you send.
Create an email that shows them the future and tells them what they can expect in the coming weeks. Drill down into the topics you’ve mapped out in your relaunch plan, and target the pains and desires they’ve shared with you in their survey responses.
Your email open rates will soar as they instantly recognize your email as familiar content that they’re waiting for. And they’ll like you more as you demonstrate you’ve listened to them.
Tip #5. Be Bold and Boost Your Open Rate
The first few emails in your re-engagement plan are the keys that unlock your readers’ attention and draw them back to you. You need to get as many eyeballs on them as you can.
But if statistics are anything to go by, you probably won’t connect with up to 70% of your readers every time you email them.
Don’t leave it to chance. Be bold and resend the emails to unopens after 48 hours, sporting a new headline. The apology, the survey and the gift emails should be hot on top of your resend list.
Every one of those emails puts you back on your readers’ mental radar, boosting your chances of them opening your email next time.
You can also do this once you start sending them posts again.
Speaking of which …
Tip #6. Remind Them Why They Loved You So Much
You’re back in the saddle and now you’re picking up pace, but the journey is just beginning.
Remember, you’ve let your readers down, so you need to win back their trust. You need to remind them why they loved you so much in the first place.
The last thing you want to do is hit them with a bunch of fluff pieces or generic, rehashed content that leaves them feeling disappointed.
Your revival campaign should include at least three posts — let’s call ’em revival posts — that go above and beyond.
Write an ultimate guide that details every single step of an intricate process, create an epic manifesto that gets your readers’ blood pumping, or collect a huge number of insider secrets from influencers in your niche.
Your revival posts must be so jam-packed with value that they blow your readers’ minds and hook them to your blog again.
Tip #7. Name-Drop to Be Noticed
To run a successful revival campaign, you need to do more than just re-engage your list. You also need to make up for readers who chose to unsubscribe despite your valiant attempts to win back their hearts. Plus, you need to reconnect with other bloggers in your niche who think your blog is pushing up daisies.
You can hit three birds with one stone by making one of your revival posts an expert roundup.
You provide massive value to your readers, you let other bloggers know your blog is back in action, and since you give them an irresistible reason to share it, you’ll get a surge in traffic.
So gather multiple expert opinions together into a meaty post bulging with value and name-drop like mad. Send it to your list and to the experts who’ve participated, and triple-whammy the effect.
Tip #8. Make Yourself Impossible to Ignore
Imagine you’re taking a stroll through your neighborhood. You notice a big poster on a wall, but you pay it little attention. A block later, you see it again. And then again. This poster is plastered all throughout your neighborhood.
How many times do you think you’d have to see it before you stop and see what all the fuss is about?
The more you come across something, the more likely it is you’ll get curious enough to check it out. And your readers are the same way, so here’s what you do …
Write several guest posts for popular blogs and, if they’re accepted, tell the bloggers the posts are for a revival campaign. Ask if they could be published on the same date (give or take).
Chances are, your target audience frequents a number of blogs in your niche. Readers can be fickle creatures, and some may click through on the first post of yours they see while others won’t. But when they see you on the second, third and even the fourth blog they visit —  well, now you’ve piqued their interest!
There’s no way they can ignore you when you’re everywhere.
Tip #9. Harness The Power of Social
Let’s face it — not everyone reads blogs yet. But there are millions of potential readers actively lapping up everything they see on Facebook. And ads are a hot way to reach these readers.
Sure, back in the dark ages of social media, only the technically minded would dare run a Facebook ad campaign. But Zuckerberg, being the smart cookie he is, realized he was making it too damn hard for us.
You don’t need to sit back and wait to be noticed any longer. You can take your posts to these hungry new readers — or send them a landing page offering them a bribe to subscribe — by running ad campaigns with minimal pain or risk.
Here’s a tip — don’t just use a scattergun approach, select the audience you’re going to target by interest and demographic. You can even set small daily limits, so you don’t spend the day panicking that you’re draining your life savings.
You’ll rebuild that crumbling list in no time.
Tip #10. Give Your Blog a Face Lift
Beauty turns heads. It sets our hearts fluttering, and our brains read that feeling as a positive sign.
Before you invest hours into writing guest posts and dollars into running Facebook ads, ask yourself this — does your blog still look okay?
Perhaps your fonts, headers, and buttons now resemble last year’s uncool fashions. Or maybe the design still holds up, but your outdated theme is snail-slow to load.
If your blog design is a mess, you might give your blog a makeover before you start your re-engagement campaign. After all, your readers aren’t really expecting to hear from you right now, so it’s the perfect opportunity to invest some time in it.
Not only will your new design make a better impression on the new visitors you’re getting from your guest posts and Facebook ads, but it also sends your existing readers a signal that you’re serious about being back.
Be sure to add your face lift announcement to your relaunch strategy in one of your re-engagement emails.
Tip #11. Switch Your Hobby Hat for a Business Hat
Have you ever had a grand plan to do something, felt an immense surge of motivation, and then slipped back to your old ways?
It’s the sticky trap of old habits. And they’re lurking nearby, ready to thwart your plans of a blog revival the split second you lose focus.
By treating your blog as a hobby, you’re weakening your defenses against the same old mistakes you’ve made in the past. You need to get serious to keep up momentum.
Let’s face it — blogs take a painstaking number of hours of behind-the-scenes grunt work to stay well oiled. And to stand out from the crazy millions of mediocre blogs out there, you need to keep your foot on the pedal.
To stand out from the crazy millions of mediocre blogs, you need to keep your foot on the pedal. (Tweet This)
Flitting in and out of your blog with whimsical notions of creativity and abundance ain’t gonna cut it. Shift your mindset from hobby to business by blocking time aside to work on it, creating to-do lists, and planning your content strategy. Your results will speak for themselves.
Tip #12. Jump on the Weekly Roundup Bandwagon
You’ve executed all the big moves in your comeback strategy, and now your energy is waning. Keeping up momentum can become a struggle as you get overwhelmed by producing weekly content.
It’s daunting — you see all the big players sending steady streams of amazing posts to their readers, and it strangles your confidence. “How can I maintain a regular schedule of riveting content?” you wonder.
Easy! There’s a growing trend in weekly roundup emails for a good reason — your readers are suffering from content overload.
So make their life a little easier, and they’ll love you for it. Become a trusted source of the latest and greatest content in your niche by offering a weekly roundup email straight to their inboxes.
It’s also a cunning energy-preserving tactic that allows you play the long game.
Tip #13. Safeguard Yourself from Slipping Again
As with any long game, you need to replenish your resources to succeed.
But being a blogger can be lonely. It can be hard to feel inspired when your coffee buddies are your keyboard and monitor and your office manager is your pooch.
Build a safety net to prevent yourself from slipping back into your old ways by surrounding yourself with people who inspire you, support you, and keep you accountable.
Feed your mind by joining online communities pumping with engaged members who stimulate your thoughts and generate intelligent discussion on topics in your niche. They’re the perfect place to find accountability partners or to jump into mastermind groups that will keep you in the right mental groove.
Restoring your energy and passion will spark inspiration for longer, deeper posts and allow your blog to evolve with your audience well into the future. And having people in your corner will ensure you keep your momentum from here on out.
Ready to Get Back in the Game?
The churn in your gut as you think about your neglected blog makes you nauseous.
Following the path of least resistance and turning your back on it would be so damn easy. Nobody would even notice as you slipped silently into the recesses of binary code.
There’s one person who’d notice, though — you — and it would gnaw at your soul.
You can do this. Really, you can.
With a healthy dose of preparation, you’re sure to pull together a winning comeback strategy.
With a bit of resourcefulness, you’ll have months of content at your fingertips.
With hard work, strategy, and grit, you’ll win back your reader’s hearts, and your blog will be hustling and bustling once again.
So go on — get your head in the game, construct your plan, apologize and stage a comeback that you can once again hang your blogging dreams upon.
Your pride is counting on you.
Your readers are counting on you.

Hiring Link Building Services
Tumblr media
Links have been the most important part of SEO for years now and in case you are looking to hire a link building service provider, you need to be very careful. This is because only the right types of links can help you shoot up the search engine rankings and get you conversions.
Many worthy link building companies that would do good to your website, while there are also many that follow the wrong process, which does more harm to your website ranking. Finding the right company is not as simple as it sounds.
This guide will help you spot the right link building company. We are aware that you know the importance of building quality links for your website, and that is why you are here. So, lets directly jump on to the main part – tips of finding the right one.
Considerations to make before hiring the Link Building Company
There are a few considerations that need to be ticked off before hiring the service provider. You would, of course, not choose the provider only because he or she speaks well or looks good.
Ensure to look beyond the superficial traits and consider the following points to hire the right link building company (in no particular order).
1. Decide your needs
Do you need SEO audit, reputation management, link building, PPC management, ongoing SEO, link removal or any other service that an SEO firm offers? If you are not sure of the services you want, start the process by figuring it out yourself.
Having a goal in mind will help you select the type of service you want to hire the link building company for. Keep your goal in place and you are already halfway through in the selection process.
2. Results
This is what you are looking forward to from your links. Any good company will be able to present case studies of the websites they have worked with and the results achieved. No matter what service you are looking for, it is vital to check the quality of work to ensure if you can expect the desired results.
You can definitely ask them questions about their link building campaign success and also the steps they would take to increase the traffic on your website. Any company who has had success with their campaigns will not shy away from showing the results. Also, if the provider is reluctant to give out results, then you should avoid hiring them.
3. Link diversity
Building backlinks is not an easy task, and diversified links will help you get success. Any good provider will get backlinks from various places because they understand that links coming from one source will not be treated well by the search engine spiders.
Link diversity should include links from social media marketing, videos, infographics, guest posting, and citation building.
4. Alignment with your goals
One of the most important things that you need to expect from the link building service provider is alignment. They should put in efforts to try and align with your goals. They also need to understand how you define success with key metrics like social shares, rankings, authority, and referral traffic.
Before you hire them, ask yourself:
Will the agency strategies help you achieve your goals?
Will they be able to turn it around in the time frame you expect?
How well do they align with your goals?
If you get definite answers to these questions, everything else will fall in place.
5. Transparent process
This is another important aspect that you need to consider while choosing the SEO company. Is the agency answering all your questions about the process? Some agencies work in secrecy and do not like to open up their plans. But a transparent process will be beneficial for both parties.
It is your right to know the approach they will take, and if they are reluctant, then you should certainly give a second thought on hiring the agency. Your agency should be transparent enough to let you know what they are doing.
6. Understanding and Opinion
Your company should have an understanding and opinion of what tactic is going to be the best for your link situation. You are going to pay them for their expertise as they have a unique and custom point of view for your needs. Also, because they have serviced to several clients in the past in various verticals.
7. Communication
The agency you are willing to choose should be responsive to all your doubts and concerns. They should be happy to solve all your issues. Remember one thing, you shouldn’t be chasing them for answering you. The absence of regular communication is bad news for you.
Ideally, they should be ready to answer all your doubts at any point in time. If the agency takes more than 24 hours to answer your question, then you should start looking out for another option.
8. Accountability
Your link building service provider should deliver results within the promised time. When things are not going planned, then they should be brave enough to hold themselves accountable and provide you a plan B without wasting any time. This is something you will know by reading reviews about the company’s service.
9. Get multiple quotes
Remember not to choose the first service provider you come across even if they offer you the required service within your budget. Sit down with as many qualified agencies possible and ask them how they can help you achieve your goal.
Most firms will be happy to offer a free consultation. After the consultation, ask them to provide the plan in writing along with the quote. Compare the quotes received from various companies and shortlist the ones you find are appropriate, of course keeping other considerations in mind.
10. History
Knowing the history of the agency, you are willing to choose is important for your business. Good companies have their reputable history and connections accessible on forums, blogs and also LinkedIn records.
Their experience in link building should reflect the practices. The lack of track record is a clear indication that you need to look for some other company.
11. References
Most companies sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with their clients but still post testimonials on their website with the clients’ approval. Asking your SEO company for the list of past clients, their work history and references is a move that you need to make before selecting a provider.
Remember that trust is built with a thorough background check and also the information they share with you about their clients. In case, they share too much information, which they shouldn’t have, then they may share your details as well with your competitors. Look for a company that provides you information that is enough to solve your doubts while maintaining privacy
12. Links to their website
A simple way of judging the link builder’s capabilities is by checking the backlinks of their website. Their website backlinks should be good enough to get your project. Find authority based links and social media websites.
A complete assessment of their backlinks is important as it would help you judge the worth of the link builder.
13. Pricing
Link building companies offer different pricing plans from price per link to monthly plan. Some offer permanent links for a fixed price, while some rent link ads on a monthly fee.
Ask them the pricing plans they offer. Some work month to month while others work as per campaigns. If you find a good one, it is wise to hire them for the entire campaign and not month to month as that will help you save money.
14. Reporting process
Before you hire the link building service provider, ask them about their reporting process. An ideal agency should deliver monthly reports and also update you weekly about the campaign. When you talk to their past clients, verify the company follows what they promise.
15. Metrics
To your surprise, the right metric to determine the results is not rankings, traffic or links. Look for a service provider that will not ignore these three factors but also measure a campaign’s success with focusing on client leads, conversions or sales.
16. Intangibles
While hiring the link builder, do not only go by the rules, but also trust your instinct. If the company knows the industry more than algorithms, then the backlinking services may be organic and beneficial to your website.
If they stress too much on social media, then they may be an excellent social media marketing company and not linking building. What is your impression of the expert? A trusted and strong bond with the provider can go a long way.
Warning signs of trouble you Need to Look for
It is essential to keep an eye on the warning signs that point towards a wrong link building company.
1. The company always says ‘yes’
Most service providers are not excellent at everything so be careful of the people pleasers that always say ‘yes’ to your demands. Notice what they mean to say when they accept all your demands.
2. The company does not have any roadmap
It is very important to have a roadmap of things planned for your campaign. The agency should know how long they will be able to promote a piece of content and have to create another one. This is something that you need to be clear about before hiring the link builder.
Ask the provider when they will create the following content, and if they do not know, this could be a red signal because they need to have an idea.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are backlinks still important in 2019?
Yes, backlinks are still alive and hold as much importance as they used to. Good backlinks on high authority websites give you rankings on search engines and also massive traffic on your site. The right link building activities on your website is the key to building strong backlinks.
2. What are link building services?
Link building services build strong links on other’s websites that point back to your website. These links are like popularity votes for your site and are known as anchor links or sometimes even external links.
Only the right backlinks serve the purpose and it is possible to create those only through the right ways. Many companies offer these services, some are worthy, while some are not.
3. What is a backlink for a website?
Backlink, when clicked, connects the user from a website to another, which may be a web directory, page or website. Backlinks are used in SEO and are the most crucial off-page technique of increasing website ranking on the search engines.
Many people do not follow any considerations other than pricing while choosing a link builder, that is why they end up being disappointed. Considering the above points will help you choose the right company for your back linking needs

Professional Practice Blog Week 13
SELF-PROMOTION.
What is special about me??? How do I present myself as being different to others?
These are the questions Louise was asking us to consider in this week’s blog. Looks easy, but I think it’s hard to do an exercise like this if you are very reserved by nature. I’m not good at praising myself, so I tend to go blank when I’m asked to comment on my strengths. I am getting better at it though! And I can see Louise’s point – until you can see yourself and what is unique about you/your work, you can’t really translate that to someone else.
Self-promotion is a much easier process now with Internet. Email/Instagram/Facebook allow you to be tracked by Art Directors – kept ‘warm’.
Louise also talked about the importance of having a website and suggested some sites with simple steps to building one. This is an area I definitely need to develop.  After the lecture I looked at some possibilities and found the following:
BEHANCE. https://www.behance.net portfolio site for artists and designers. Here you can upload projects and get noticed! However, I found the site a bit intimidating and confusing.
WIX. https://www.wix.com Hundreds of templates and easy drag and drop. Free! Looks like a good place to start to build a basic website.
Pixpa. https://www.pixpa.com Advertises itself as an online portfolio website for creatives. It has a special section for students, with advice, so obviously open to emerging artists not just established ones, which is encouraging. 50% discount for students. Might take another look at this one….
Moonfruit. https://www.moonfruit.com Recommended by Telegraph and Guardian and looks accessible, but not as attractive as sites which are especially geared up to support artists’ work…
Squarespace. https://www.squarespace.com Looks a bit too sophisticated. Bit scary!
ARTWEB. https://www.artweb.com/ You can set up a website here and you can showcase your work on ArtWeb.com. 15 images free and then up to 8.13 per month for a gallery of 500 images. You can sell work online. It looks very professional and there are over 160 artists featured. Some of the work looks amazing. Not sure how appropriate for young illustrators starting out? A bit expensive too?
I also found a useful article on how to make an artist’s website and why you need one! https://www.studentartguide.com/articles/how-to-make-an-artist-website It has a step-by-step tutorial, showing the process used to set up a successful website so hopefully this could be a real help! On this site, it is advised that the best option is known as a self-hosted WordPress site. Sounds very complicated! Apparently this gives more flexibility than packages offered by Squarespace or Wix. Something to explore over Easter, or sooner?
Louise also gave us some useful tips about how to make our communications to Art Directors memorable!
Advice:
Pay attention to Packaging and Promotion.
Make sure it reflects your personal style, character and ID.
Consider unusual packaging – maybe include fun items. Louise told us about the ‘Monster’ goody bags containing sweets and other items, and told us about an artist who created a screen print on MDF, then a laser cut out. Look in Museum and Gallery shops/etsy etc for inspiration. Basically – we should aim to offer something someone might want to keep and avoid a stereotypical approach if possible. e.g. postcards!
The advice – to think of our submission ‘like a present’ to be opened - made it easier to visualise.
So things we might not usually think about like the envelope, font, stamp positioning, sellotape, string colour – can all have an impact and so we ought to think of these as part of our art work.
Although email is handy, physical pieces are less likely to be trashed! Art directors get lots of emails, which are easier just to scoop up and bin….
Research your markets…… (go back to Week 9 to look)
Choose your best stuff.
Packaging should suggest QUALITY! TRUST! The tea bag packaging was an amusing illustration here, making us think a bit about why we might be tempted to try a certain product and ignore another!
I might look at the moo.com website to see how I might translate some of my interesting images onto business or mini cards.
Today’s task: we had to…..
Consider what makes our work special?
Look at themes in our portfolio.
Play with some ideas for self-promotion – choose something you enjoy as your base
I worked with Joe on this and we drew up a list – see below. I find it hard to prioritise areas of strength/success, but more and more I find myself drawn to:
Areas of print making. I have had some success with this, especially with lino printing and silk screen printing. I enjoy the physicality of it and the thrill of the final reveal – like a magic trick!
Use of monochrome with colour pops for contrast.
Cartoon/caricature with a view to graphic novels.
Learning more about animation, after my recent project.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I now need to focus on the Outcome:
To Phil Cleaver through post.
Impressive, but not necessarily in size.
Post-friendly!

Costly Blunders: 15 Common SEO and SEM Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
Did you know that SEO can take months to show results? SEO and SEM are not “quick fixes” for your marketing. They’re long-term strategies you should invest in.
If you work with a professional team, you’ll likely see results sooner. You may still decide to handle SEO on your own.
If you do decide to handle these tasks yourself, you may make mistakes in your SEO and SEM strategies. Since it can take so long to see results, though, it may take you quite some time to realize it.
The best defense here is a good offense. Knowing the most common blunders can help you avoid them. Check out these 15 mistakes and learn to steer clear.
1. Your Site Isn’t Mobile-Friendly
One of the most important parts of search engine optimization today is a mobile site. As users shift more to mobile, you need to meet them where they are. That means providing a site that works just as well on mobile as on a desktop.
Google has been tracking this change too. It’s why the search engine has finally rolled out mobile-first indexing. With this change, sites that deliver a good mobile experience will rank higher.
If you haven’t given your website a makeover for mobile use, then it’s time to take a look at updating. Not only will this improve SEO and SEM but it will also help you as the shift toward mobile continues.
2. You Don’t Know Your Audience
There’s a reason you may not have thought mobile-friendliness was important. You may have thought your audience wasn’t using mobile devices.
Not knowing your audience is one of the more common SEO mistakes. Many business owners will say their audience is “everyone” or “anyone.”
The big problem here is that if you’re writing for everyone and anyone, you’re reaching no one. Your SEO efforts aren’t targeted enough to help you rank. In turn, your page is invisible to the people who are interested in your products or services.
This is an easy mistake to fix. Sit down and define your ideal audience member. What do they look like?
You can use information about your customers to imagine your ideal buyer. You may use buyer personas if you already have some developed. These profiles will help you target your audience and create the kind of content they want to see.
3. Error Codes Are SEO Errors
This is a more technical SEO mistake, but you need to pay attention to how your site is working. If users are always running into 404s, you have a problem.
The reason? Google’s web crawlers will also run into those 404s. As a result, the search engine ranks your site lower overall.
The reasoning is that your site isn’t delivering a great experience for visitors. Google wants to send users to the most relevant pages, but it can’t do that if your site is malfunctioning.
The solution is to check your site carefully. Make sure pages are redirecting properly. Try to address any missing content and other errors.
4. You’re Using the Wrong Keywords
Keywords are still important to your strategy for SEO and SEM. If you’re not ranking, though, it’s time to ask if you’re using the right keywords.
It’s important to do research on SEO keywords before you start creating content. If you’re guessing about what your audience is searching for, you’re likely to miss the mark. You may use keywords no one ever searches.
When someone searches something relevant, your page may show up in the results. It won’t be ranked as high as it could be.
Keep in mind that keywords change too. Today, long-tail keywords are important. They’ll be more important as voice search continues to grow.
5. You Put Quality on the Back Burner
Content is still king, but you need to focus on quality. As search engines have become more sophisticated, they’ve improved at evaluating content.
Google wants to send its users to the most relevant page. If you’re producing low-quality content, chances are Google will send people somewhere else.
Focus on quality over quantity. Posting frequency also matters for SEO. Still, it’s much better to produce one or two authoritative pieces than a bunch of low-quality blogs that don’t rank.
6. Your Website Moves at a Snail’s Pace
Today’s top SEO tips will almost always tell you to take a look at website speed. Why?
Most users are busy people. They don’t have time to wait around for your page to load. If it takes more than a few seconds, they’re already navigating away.
Search engines are aware of user expectations. They use that information to adjust their algorithms. If users want sites that load fast, so do search engines.
As a result, website speed is one SEO factor you need to pay attention to. Check in on the code behind your website. Light, mobile-friendly code will load faster, even over slow connections.
Also, take steps to optimize your images and videos. Compressing them will help them load faster for your users.
Finally, look at the back end. Your web hosting or your server may need to speed up.
7. You’re Not Leveraging On-Site SEO
Have you added a meta-description to your latest blog post? If not, you won’t get the benefit of Google’s Snippet feature. Instead, the search engine will arbitrarily pull text from your site into the results.
Meta descriptions are one aspect of on-site SEO you need to pay attention to. Unique titles and custom URLs can also be important.
Alt-text for images and other accessibility features may also help your SEO efforts.
8. Your Linking Strategy Affects SEO and SEM
Search engines want to know how authoritative you are in your industry. They want to send their users to the experts on any given subject. To that end, they take a peek at who is linking back to your site.
Backlinks from authoritative sites are important for this reason. If you get a link from the New York Times, Google will rate you as being more trustworthy.
This can also hurt a site, especially if you get unsolicited backlinks from spam sites. Google allows you to disavow backlinks from low-quality sites for that reason.
Improve your backlinking strategy by cultivating guest blogging opportunities and social media. Better backlinks improve SEO.
9. Your SEO is Wearing a Black Hat
It can be tempting to buy links or join a link exchange to improve your backlinking strategy. Buyer beware, though. This tactic is known as a “black hat” technique.
Black hat techniques are often effective, at least in the short term. They include buying links, keyword stuffing, and spam comments on your blog.
These techniques are tempting, but they’re known as “black hat” for a reason. Search engines frown on them. When you get caught, your site will be penalized for using them.
Resist the temptation to stuff keywords into your blog or buy links. There are much better ways to improve your SEO.
10. You’re Falling Behind on Changes
SEO and SEM are always changing. Google tweaks its algorithm several times every year.
As algorithms become more sophisticated, SEO tactics have to change. If you’re following a strategy that someone laid out in 2015, chances are you’re not going to get the results you want.
Instead, make sure you’re staying up to date on all the latest changes. Working with a team of expert SEO professionals can help. They’ll keep an eye on both changes and trends to help you get more out of your SEO.
11. You Aren’t Paying Attention to Social Media
Many people make the mistake of thinking SEM and SEO marketing are unaffected by their social media.
It’s easy to see why. Google doesn’t give much weight to social media factors. These factors don’t have a direct impact on your search engine results page rank.
When budget constraints come into play, some business owners feel they have to choose one or the other. Investing in SEO and SEM isn’t a good reason to ignore social media though.
Social media may not have a direct effect on your SERP rank, but it does affect your marketing overall. Social media can influence who sees your content and who links back to it. A consistent NAP across social media can lend more to your local search optimization.
If you’ve been neglecting Twitter and Facebook, it’s time to change that. Social media and SEO work hand in hand to boost your company’s marketing results.
12. You’re Ignoring Influencers
Another good reason to build your social media presence is to connect with influencers.
How can influencers help your SEO and SEM? Cultivating an influencer partnership can lead to guest posting opportunities and backlinks.
Next, an influencer can also help you reach a larger audience. They may then share your content and conduct searches for your brand. As brand awareness grows, so too will your social proof and trustworthiness.
That will then impact your SEO and help you climb the rankings.
13. Your Content Has Clones
Another very common mistake with SEO and SEM strategies is duplicate content. Google penalizes duplicate content quite harshly. You’ll want to be sure everything on your site is unique.
There are a few reasons duplicate content gets a black flag from Google. First, it may show that you’re engaged in keyword stuffing or keyword permutations on landing pages. This is a hallmark of spam sites, which try to rank and send people to unsafe sites.
It may also show you’ve taken your content from another site. Google may believe you’re spoofing a legitimate site or that you’ve stolen your content. This is true even if the duplicate content is your own.
Make sure you can keep everything organized in a content management system. Doing so will help you spot duplicated content. There are also tools you can use to find duplicates and remove them.
14. You Don’t Give Google a Map
Navigation is another crucial SEO factor. If users can’t find their way around your site, they’re not going to have a very good experience. They’ll probably leave your page quickly too.
How can Google tell your site is hard to navigate? Its own web crawlers may have trouble finding their way around. It takes time for a search engine to map a site, so making it easy to navigate helps them do their job.
A site map is also important for this reason. The map allows the crawlers to follow the links and index your site more thoroughly.
If you’re not giving Google a map, it will take longer for your entire site to be mapped. The easier it is for the web crawlers to find their way around, the better off you are.
15. You’re Not Analyzing Your Results
Finally, there’s the issue of analysis. Since SEO and SEM can take so long to start showing results, you may not think it’s important to track your progress.
You should still keep tabs on changes in your rankings. If you upgrade your SEO and see a slight bump, you know something is working.
If you see your site fall in the rankings, you know something’s gone wrong. An update could mean it’s time to tweak your strategy, or you may have a penalty on your hands. Either way, it’s important to take stock of your progress.
The key here is selecting the right metrics. Good SEO may not improve your rank immediately. It should help you lower your bounce rate. Good backlinks will increase traffic from other referring sites.
Measuring will help you tweak your strategy to move up the ranks.
Get a Helping Hand
SEO and SEM are complex, long-term strategies. Mistakes are common, but they can also be easy to avoid.
If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, don’t worry. Get in touch with a team of experts and discover just how simple great SEO and SEM strategies can be.

16 of the Best Social Media Monitoring Tools
Social media is a powerful research tool for companies who want to know what people think of them. (Hint: All companies should want to know what people think of them.)
But with more than three billion people using social networks, keeping track of what they say can seem like an overwhelming task. It can be hard to cut through all the noise to find the conversations that matter most to you.
That’s where social media monitoring tools come in. They can help you track and manage online conversations relevant to your brand, so the information comes to you, rather than you having to seek it out.
But before we get into the tools, let’s look at exactly what social media monitoring is.
Bonus: Download a free guide to discover how to get more sales and conversions with social media monitoring on Hootsuite—no tricks or boring tips.
What is social media monitoring?
Social media monitoring is the act of monitoring social media for information relevant to your business. For example, you might want to know about:
Brand mentions (with or without direct tagging)
Relevant hashtags (branded and unbranded)
Mentions of your competitors
General trends that apply to your industry
Social media monitoring helps you track key social metrics like brand awareness and social share of voice. You can also use this information to test social campaigns and track ROI.
Once you start collecting all of this valuable data, you can use it to look for trends and insights. When you start making in-depth analyses and taking action based on your findings, you’ve moved on from the simple task of social media monitoring into the more complex work of social listening.
What’s the difference between the two? Basically, social media monitoring is about the past, and social listening is about the future.
Social media monitoring is all about gathering information—collecting all the data and details you can. You capture what people are posting about you. You measure what you have already achieved, and create a record of what is happening in your industry’s social space.
The social listening part is more active and strategic. It involves analyzing the data for actionable insights—everything from engaging a happy customer to shifting your overall brand positioning strategy. Social listening uses the data you gather to make your social marketing better.
Social Media Monitoring Social Listening

Gathers information

In this post, we’ll show you how to get set up for social monitoring, and highlight 16 of the best tools to help keep things automated. Once you’re ready to start thinking about the bigger picture, check out our post on how to use social listening.
16 social media monitoring tools
You could do basic social monitoring manually—checking each social network individually for mentions, keywords, hashtags, and so on. But that would take up your entire day. Plus, you’d have to create some kind of reporting dashboard to collect and share all your research.
Fortunately, there’s no need to go about it like that. There are plenty of social media monitoring tools to help you keep track of more data and identify the most important information. Here are 15 of our favorites.
1. Hootsuite
Search streams in the Hootsuite dashboard let you monitor conversations relevant to your business, your industry, and your products. You can monitor what people are saying based on keywords, hashtags, locations, and even specific users.
Once you’ve set up your streams for social monitoring, you can share them with your team, so everyone can access the same information. If you discover a post that requires a response, you can assign it to the appropriate team member.
2. Hootsuite Insights
Hootsuite Insights expands your social media monitoring capabilities beyond social networks themselves to include 100 million data sources like news sites, forums, and blogs.
It also provides useful analytics information, like brand sentiment, gender distribution, and top social platforms. This gives you a bird’s-eye view of the conversation about your brand online, so you can identify trends you should dig into as part of your social listening strategy.
You can use Hootsuite Insights to set alerts, so you know immediately if there’s a major change in any of the metrics you’re monitoring.
3. Brandwatch
Using Brandwatch, you can monitor mentions across the social web, including blogs, forums, social networks, news sites, video sites, and review sites.
In this video, Hootsuite’s social engagement specialist, Nick Martin, explains exactly how he uses Brandwatch for social media monitoring, including measuring social share of voice.
4. Talkwalker
Talkwalker uses more than 50 filters to monitor conversations across 150 million data sources.
You can easily analyze engagement, reach, comments, and brand sentiment.
5. Reddit Keyword Monitor Pro
With its 330 million average monthly active users and 14 billion average views per month, Reddit is a social site you can’t ignore.
Reddit Keyword Monitor Pro allows you to to monitor the site that bills itself as “the front page of the internet” for relevant keywords and phrases. You’ll learn who is talking about your brand, business, or competitors in the site’s 138,000 active communities.
6. Reputology
Reputation management is extremely important, and social monitoring makes it surprisingly easy. Reputology lets you monitor and check major review sites such as Yelp, Google, and Facebook reviews. You can track activity across multiple storefronts and locations, and respond using quick links.

9. Nuzzel
Nuzzel tracks news sources with a focus on social signals from top business influencers. You’ll stay on top of the trending news in your industry and be aware of developing stories that impact your brand.

13. Crowd Analyzer

14. Nexalogy

15. Tweepsmap

16. Google Alerts

Just sign into your Google account, go to the Google Alerts page, and type a keyword or phrase into the search box. You’ll get an email notification every time Google finds results relevant to your alert criteria. You can set alerts for specific regions and languages.
How to set up social media monitoring
Those are the tools. Here’s how to put them to work in your business.
1. Decide what topics to monitor
The list of keywords, topics, and usernames you monitor will likely grow and evolve over time. Start by monitoring a small set of topics that are directly related to your brand:
Your brand name
Your brand handles
Your product name(s)
Names of key people and spokespeople
Your slogan
Your branded hashtags
Your competitors’ brand names, product names, slogans, hashtags, and handles
Unbranded industry hashtags
Industry keywords
You should also monitor for common misspellings or abbreviations of all of the above.
2. Set up your streams
Use your chosen social media monitoring tools to set up tracking streams for each of the topics you want to monitor. To do this in Hootsuite, click the black plus sign to create a new tab, then choose Browse All Streams.
Click the Search button.
Enter your selected terms, then click Search to create your stream.
Here’s a video to walk you through setting up your streams:
Social media monitoring tips
Think beyond your brand
As shown above, it’s important to track conversations about your brand, your products, and your competitors. But you should also think beyond your brand to monitor conversations that might give you a better picture of your overall industry, or present opportunities to collect new data for to apply to your social listening strategy.
For example, Monster uses Brandwatch and Hootsuite to monitor signals related to job searching and employment satisfaction, even when there’s no mention of Monster or any other job search platform. Monitoring for keywords like “job interview” allows them to keep a virtual eye on their niche without limiting themselves to posts that mention their brand.
The job interview is such an important part of the hiring process. And selling yourself may not come naturally. Make sure you're prepared: https://t.co/0W7uoLAK2J ^JE
— Monster (@Monster) January 16, 2019
Benchmark against your competitors
Monitoring your own keywords and metrics is great, and offers plenty of data for your social listening strategy. But understanding your competitors’ metrics provides a fuller picture of the state of your industry, and where you brand fits.
Monitoring your social share of voice is a really easy way to know when there are changes in your standing compared to your competitors. If your share goes down, that means someone else’s share of social voice has gone up. If you see this happen in real time, you can dig deeper to see what’s changed, and strategize ways to regain your standing.
Social share of voice is such an important metric that it’s posted in real time on screens in all Hootsuite offices around the world. If there’s a change, the relevant teams can dive in immediately to see what’s happening, and why.
Learn from your audience
As you build your list of terms to monitor, keep an eye out for unexpected terms your audience might use. Has a new hashtag emerged? A new abbreviation for a key term in your industry? A new concept? A new competitor?
These insights can provide a whole new way of thinking about your business, while giving you valuable data when added to your monitoring program.
Go deeper with keyword combinations
Don’t limit yourself to monitoring simple keywords or keyphrases. Use combinations of keywords to identify intent in social signals.
For example, try adding the word “recommend” to a keyword related to your product or industry. You’ll start to see people actively seeking information on products like yours. You’ll also see how others in the industry respond. Here are some valuable qualifying keywords to add to your social monitoring streams:
Recommend
Suggest
Help
Improve
Explain
Favorite
Best
Don’t limit yourself to one language
Unless you only operate in one country, with one language, you’ll likely want to monitor for keywords in multiple languages. You can enter all your translations in one stream to monitor global conversations about your brand.
Use Hootsuite to easily find and monitor conversations that are relevant to your business on social media—and then start engaging.

When I was 18 going on 19 I had been diagnosed with Mental health issues & In and out of hospital with that and Gallstones with pancreatitis  ….. I thought can it SERIOUSLY GET ANY WORSE? I had my op to have my gallbladder removed. Started treatment for my Mental health, In & out over  the years, Some help then no help as the system is now systematically F&CKED!
and a million questions…
I go to the Bath Mineral hospital for an appointment This is Summer 2015. I go in with my Partner. And there is it is … I explain what’s been going on & the Consultant she tells me I have Fibromyalgia. It felt like the WORST day of my life. She told me I would suffer with chronic fatigue, pain, other symptoms and give me some literature. Put her hand on mine and told me there is no cure.
I cried for days, weeks … I cant remember. But the tiredness all the time, all the different pains I  feel and they change all the time. I start my treatment but again System failed me. I just have self help and GP help now…. the RUH wouldn’t have me, Salisbury lost the letter to them and my partner driving me to all these appointments of getting no where? I decided I/We would mange it – Like the gifts he gets me to help!
In 2014 I got sick with food poisoning … I was a receptionist at the time and I was recommended by all my colleagues to go to the bakery. I did, I got a bacon/Cheese Gluten free wrap – I Feel a bit nauseated now as I remember it vividly. It was cold, hard, chewy & I threw half of it away ….. about 45 minutes later I start feeling ILL, sickness/The runs from my bum. I am then signed of work for two weeks every time I tried to go back in they said no I still didn’t look right …. once the actual food poisoning had gone  I had terrible fatigue & I would get these pains in my legs & neck that would put me in such despair and my partner tried to comfort me. The GP was aware of my sicky sandwich issue and we were starting to look into CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME – Which is basically a symptom of fibro anyway. A few months after investigations and tests, pain and a million questions… Oh and the abuse from the staff after environmental health wouldn’t take this seriously nor the shop.
I still cry now when I really cant hold it together with pain.
I went through the motions … Denial, Despair, My life is over kind of thing …. Morphine, Tramadol, A dosset box full of drugs all the time and I HATED ALL OF IT. Not even being able to recognise my own body anymore. I always, ALWAYS have bruises or rashes I cannot explain. So to be fair its not that invisible I just hide it. Including eye bags from the fog & fatigue! I worked since I was 13 …. over the years had more than one job at a time, worked, earned well & played hard too! Then It all stopped. Since then Employers have not quiet understood what’s wrong. I was discriminated for having mental health back when I was 19 … they were fined by ACAS & I was compensated but I wanted to keep my job! Then another business did it & so did another. But I didn’t take legal action …. in part because they were so understanding & might I add this was at the BEGINING!
Then they would turn nasty when I had a flare or got a cold because it would set of the fucking flare! Each one gets worse each time and it still does to this day. My migraines make my temples throb & I have to wear glasses but the medication for that has now stopped working …. another wonderful thing about medication. You become immune or it has horrible side effects.
Last year I was diagnosed with Alopeica areata after a bald spot was found by my partner after he came home (When my partner had his accident last year) & Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility overlapping my fibro – as a kid I was very active. Sports, running clubs (Cross country ect) Ballet, Karate and so on ….. I didn’t know that this could actually affect me later on in life because my GP at the time mentioned being too active, my joint pain & the clicking ect is kind of a manifestation from that the fibro, becoming weak and my immune system is being attacked by the alopecia & obviously my mane … I know right what a goddamn list! And I swear at times I need a hip/ankle/elbow transplant! Ha!
But With my Holistic Treatments, Medications, A Great GP with continuity, close friends & family, other professionals who intervene and adequate help ….
I have come to understand there is a LIFE …. there just will be obstacles for those of us with Mental health & Chronic/invisible illness & pain. Or any illness. Lucky for those of you if your getting the tip top, best kind of treatment and help. But those of us who don’t have to self manage,  cope, rely on the ones who do help us frequently and even they get tired. Because there is still so much ignorance in the world. So An invisible illness… look again I promise you your life changes and when you get used to your new body/life things change. Better and worse.
If you cant see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there & never judge a person just because they look “well” or get over it …. We are fighting a battle daily that sometimes we lose & sometimes we win or even sometimes its like a Limbo. But now I am on a lot less meds, Partly because the mental health team are not doing anything but I am on the right track (I think so anyway) I do my self care, I have support and love, my pets, my OCD, nice & clean beautiful place, a wonderful man and my blogging! So if you think Dani is a lazy bitch …. no I’m not, I have been bullied by employers, neglected by services like MANY others. But I fill my day with tasks, studying, writing, cleaning & what ever I feel like my body can manage. And yes there are still consequences to that but I will not be defined by my illnesses’ & I will not be judged by you. Its 16th September 2018 not 16th September somewhere backwards in time when it was worse!
Fibromyalgia was firstly defined in 1990, updated “criteria” as they say in 2011. It is now recognised not as an impairment anymore but a disability.]
The term Fibromyalgia is from the Latin fibra (fiber) and the Greek words myo (muscle) and algos (pain). Funny eh? Its even noted in our History before we knew now what it was but it was somewhat acknowledged! Ands studied and will hopefully continue to studied! And help us!
Lol
My Story & Journey with Fibro. When I was 18 going on 19 I had been diagnosed with Mental health issues & In and out of hospital with that and Gallstones with pancreatitis  …..

MoldBlogger Interview: Lisa and Ron Beres
Q. Being advocates for healthy homes, how often do you get contacted concerning black mold and how to remove it?
Lisa: We get contacted quite often for mold inquiries from people all across the country, but most people are unaware if they actually have mold, the scope of the problem or how to properly remove it. Many people will experience hay fever like symptoms, but if they can’t see visible mold, they tend to think it doesn’t exist or isn’t a real threat.
Ron: We always start by advising the person test, not guess. Too many people unknowingly put themselves and/or their loved ones in danger by ignoring the visible signs of moisture or water damage and/or a musty smell. They assume it will go away on its own. Many people wait too long before addressing the root cause of the issue – typically a leaky water source.
Q. Your book, Just GREEN It!, is absolutely genius, by the way. I absolutely love how you compare brand-name products to help consumers make environmentally-friendly choices. With so many of us being set in our ways, using products like bleach because we believe it “kills everything”, how do you suggest we get better informed?
Lisa: We actually offer a free online webinar called The Healthy Home Challenge. It’s really fun + informative and takes under one hour. Anyone can sign up at: http://ift.tt/2fNR3IC to learn more and start understanding how everyday toxic exposures in and around our homes are wreaking havoc on our health.
Ron: The good news, is we all have the power to take charge of our health. Walk away from the computer or TV and get informed. Knowledge is truly power. Our website, www.RonandLisa.com offers over 500 articles to help anyone get started. We also offer a free Healthy Home Quiz and dozens of videos online at: https://www.youtube.com/user/HealthyHomeDreamTeam When Lisa got sick from toxins in her home, our life turned upside down. We, like most people, were living completely unaware of the daily dangers that are ubiquitous in our world today, with indoor air pollution being two to five times more polluted than the outdoors.
Q: Getting a little personal, you two are clearly a match made in heaven. I mean, how often do you meet someone who is just as passionate, working day and night to help others, as you?
Lisa: Thank you! I have immense gratitude for the fact I get to do what I love by helping others live their best life, but the icing on the cake is working with my husband. While we have met a handful entrepreneurial couples, a lot of happily married couples say they could never work together. It’s certainly not for everyone ?
Ron: I never thought I would be in this business or working with Lisa, but everything changed when she got sick. It became the catalyst for change and we committed ourselves to sharing this important and life-saving knowledge with others. We certainly learned good habits (like when to give each other space) and to respect each other’s boundaries. But ultimately, we’re a yin-yang energy in that we balance each other while contributing something different and unique to the relationship.
Q. What’s it like changing lives for the good, alongside your spouse?
Lisa: Priceless. I never dreamed we’d work together, but have always believed in following your passion in life. Today, I get to do both and it makes the rewards so much greater and the challenges a bit easier.
Ron: It’s truly exceptional. We know that we always have each other’s back and continue to push each other to be our best, grow and constantly step out of our comfort zones (something most entrepreneurs are very familiar with).
Q. Okay, getting back on track – as you know, there are a lot of black mold scammers out there. What advice do you have for anyone looking to get their home tested safely and securely?
Lisa: Look for certifications! This is key to making sure you are protected and will not get scammed. It seems everyone has a business, blog or website these days, making it extremely easy for scammers to set up shop and rip consumers off. Look for theCertified Microbial Investigator (CMI) accredited though the ACAC (American Council for Accredited Certification) – the largest accreditation body for the indoor air quality industry. Or find a licensed mold inspector/assessor or qualified remediator through NORMI, the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors.
Ron: Never have the same company test and remediate a mold problem. When hiring a mold remediation company, also look for third party certifications such as the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). Also, if you’re doing your own DIY mold test to start, be sure you are getting results from an accredited laboratory.
Q: Toxic materials in the home are more common than we think. How do you suggest people learn what common products are toxic, and how to recognize any symptoms if affected?
Lisa: It can be overwhelming for busy people today (and who isn’t busy today?). That’s why, in addition to our published books, we’ve created a 30-day online program called, Change Your Home, Change Your Health in 30 Days! It’s our work and research from the past 15 years, simplified into digestible bites of practical and affordable solutions to help anyone improve their health in just 30 days. We cover 13 topics – from pesticides and mold to cleaning products, EMF’s and more! We make it fun and easy to learn without sifting through hundreds of hours, piles of books or misinformation (i.e.: green washing).
Ron: We even have a Mini Course that is so affordable – costing less than 2 lattes a month! Just scroll down to the bottom of the page (link above) to learn more and join our valuable community. Q: Sadly, the number of individuals getting sick from the toxic materials in their home is increasing. What tips could you give our viewers on what questions to ask their doctors, so as to get to the bottom of why they’re feeling sick?
Lisa: Don’t wait for lax legislation to catch up. Today, you have to be proactive with your health and many times your own detective.
I would suggest seeking out a great functional MD or environmental MD. A lot of physicians today are not trained in toxic exposures – the sources or the solutions. You can visit The American Academy of Environmental Medicine’s website HERE. The AAEM was founded in 1965, and is an international association of physicians and other professionals interested in the clinical aspects of humans and their environment. As always, listen to your body and your intuition. No one knows the signs like you do, so trust that.
Ron: The body burden today is real and scary. Children are being born already pre-polluted with hundreds of toxic chemicals in their body. Eating healthy today isn’t enough. But, we have soo much power to eliminate dangerous toxic chemicals and even prevent allergies, asthma, hormone disruption, obesity and even cancer. According to a study by the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, ‘exposure to a wide variety of natural and man-made substances in the environment accounts for at least two-thirds of all the cases of cancer in the United States.’
