rewatching the final arc of og nart and two things:

1. pakkun and the rest of the hounds didn’t need anything to track sasuke and naruto’s scent which leads me to believe that kakashi has made sure his hounds know his kids’ scents just in case he’s not paranoid or anything no why would you suggest that he’s very normal!!!!!!!! he has no reason to ever be afraid of losing the people closest to him!!! pfft he’s fine it’s just a safety precaution!!! ahem, anyway. yeah i think he has his hounds memorized their scents as soon as kakashi passes them during the bell test.

2. pakkun will never not treat kakashi like his pup. sure, kakashi is the pack leader and they defer to him but that’s pakkun’s baby boy. he pretty much raised kakashi after sakumo died and yes, he listens and he follows pack law but that does not mean kakashi isn’t his pup anymore. not even when kakashi is hokage, he’s always gonna be his stupid little pup with no fur. he doesn’t care if kakashi is in charge of the village he will scold him in front of the townspeople if it’s warranted and kakashi will sit with his metaphorical tail tucked between his legs and his head down to receive his tongue lashing. he’ll even let out a little “stooop pakkun, you’re embarrassing me!”

I didn't think I'd care for season 2 of black butler when I started watching it but it did get me thinking about the way the demon/master ships work and how it makes sense for them to lack boundaries or be romantically/sexually charged

Alois is more direct as the anime went for a far more clear route at showing his backstory and trauma. He is clingy and throws himself at people, often seeming to deliberately trying to rile them up or get close with them even tho they are way older, cause that's the only kind of love he ever got in the end.

After his brother died he was without love for ages, until his new "father" took him in who "loved" him, but used him as a sex toy.

So now he sort of clings onto that dynamic, uses his looks, and often makes almost advances at Claude like that's the only way he knows to gain love and approval.

Wheras Ciel is the opposite. He had a loving family for longer than Alois and was not brought into his trauma through any pretence of love. He was caged and sold to the highest bidder. Defiled and laughed at in groups as they wanted to make him impure and the perfect sacrifice for their cult.

So now he avoids touch, he backs away from closeness, and almost every time we see him have breakdowns or flashbacks, he hides away from people's hands. Often only ever leaning on younger people or Sebastian. His saviour.

He has learnt not to trust or let anyone close, but Sebastian is his exception cause he can't hurt him. He hides himself away from affection, and other than the incident with master sullivan, Sebastian is the only one who can push those boundaries to an extent. As Ciel sees him as a lifeline.

It actually makes a lot of sense the way Ciel and Alois cling to their respective butlers. And given those butlers are demons and not bound by human morals, it would be no surprise if they encouraged that dependency.

shoutout to this scene btw. such a casual and silly depiction of how perfectly in sync stede and ed are. looking at the act of grace and immediately going "nope, can't be arsed with that!" openly and proudly. talking about the "small text with tricks" and need to "review" it as if they're signing some boring work document and not giving their lives away to the king of england

Pat's Constance wants to scold and rekt Aelfric because he got what he deserved for "meddling" with a tool Sothis apparently "commissioned", but FE16!Constance wants to bring him peace and know that the Chalice wasn't "commissioned" by Sothis, but it she crafted it herself!

The "commissioned" thing is sort of relevant, because earlier Aelfie tells Billy that, from what he could research about the Chalice from the few records left, it was supposed to have been created by Seiros...

We know that's bull, and Constance has more "closer to the truth" intel about the Chalice than a Cardinal - again it highlights how House Nuvelle, being direct descendants of Noa, have more insight about Nabatean and Nabatean tools than even "trusted by Nabatean" humans - at least for the Chalice.

For something new :

"Openly work" for the Empire? What does he mean by "openly"? Is he doing merc work but cannot openly claim to be an Adrestian agent?

Is he suggesting that he already knows who will be his next employer? Given how Supreme Leader has been planning her invasion months before the events of the Holy Tomb, and his surprise, I wonder if Arun-Thales already made contact with Metodey saying that he'll be hired by someone who has even a higher rank than he has (higher than regent? it can only mean one or two persons) later on.

Yeah... not even want to chase him uh? Was she aware this clown was the one Uncle hired to assist her for the invasion of the monastery? Or realised it?

Bar Pat adding some "Religion BaD" for shit'n'giggles, JP!Metodey makes it clearer that he has already been hired - or knows he will be hired - for a grand mission : with all of his lines in this chapter, imo it's made clear that Metodey is participating in Aelfie's lil'scheme for now, but has already a contract with Arun-Thales where he will be incorporated/or at least recognised, as an Imperial agent.

Supreme Leader somehow knows it, and will not pursue him as he will later be of use during her own invasion of Garreg Mach.

"Thief Leader" in JP mentions some "oh so great noble's secret mission", imo it refers to Arun-Thales' mission (or even Supreme Leader? It's not the first time she has to fight someone she hired to kill a group of people including herself lol) and not to Aelfie's - Pat's mention of "infidels" might instead refer to Aelfie's mission (the one who organised this mess), Thief Leader wants to complete Aelfie's mission and he calls Aelfie's a noble, since the guy is a cardinal, obviously his enemies or the ones he wants dead are "infidels" after all!

Tl;Dr : more mumbo jumbo nonsensical stuff regarding Pat's Metodey, even if the script isn't that clear, JP!script highlights more how Metodey is actually biding his time until Supreme Leader becomes Emperor and marches on Garreg Mach.

Got really inspired by @whereismymonsterlover 's drawing of Sebastian as Andy in The Devil Wears Prada. It is literally best idea I've ever seen. I, and many others, would go feral for a spin off of Sebastian filling a bunch of random contracts. I'd love to see him do random shit. But also be Bad at it starting off! Only to improve more and more!!!

On the topic tho of like. The archons switching up domains, what do you think could be other interesting changes? Like. Zhongli and Eternity vs Erosion, or how contracts could be subsumed by Justice. Similarly- I think Nahida, with her domain of dreams- could honestly be really fun to play with a Freedom domain, considering the irony of a caged god of freedom to parallel Ventis current story. Alternatively- Freedom in the nation of hydro, where they’re cursed because of the flouting of the rules, and Furina is trapped in a centuries long gilded cage- like. There’s interesting things you can do!! -☁️ (hi it’s me again, I forgot to tag the previous backreading one)

oh yeah absolutely, honestly since the game is about solving problems and dealing with Situations, you could reasonable slap freedom onto any nation and find an interesting outcome. like- freedom from the shogun's dicatorial rule, freedom for ei from her own fears and isolation, freedom for nahida from her prison, freedom of knowledge in sumeru, freedom for furina in how she wants to live life, freedom as it is seen by the people of meropide choosing to remain underwater, freedom for the people of fontaine to finally be people as their ancestors wished without celestia dictating what they can and cannot do, freedom for zhongli to retire and live life at his leisure, freedom for the humans of liyue to carve their own path forward on their own two feet (i admit that's the weakest one); and now natlan will probably be freedom to coexist or freedom from violence or freedom from natlan itself since it's closed. snezhnaya, too, could be about freedom: freedom from celestia's rule, freedom from the heavenly principles (or whatever the fatui are doing); same thing for khaenri'ah and the abyss sibling. freedom from fate and to be able to decide your own destiny. at the end of the day any plot with any conflict can include freedom as a motif, so like- yeah, freedom would be the easier to switch around.

as for the others, that would be the more interesting part i think. like you said, contracts and justice, eternity vs erosion (which is already ei's plot so zhongli wouldn't be all that new honestly), wisdom for zhongli too with the whole witnessing history thing. eternity for nahida in the way wisdom perseveres through time but also in the irony of knowledge is beholden to irminsul and knowledge in irminsul is apparently subject to erasure. stuff like that

we'll have to see how we can play around with natlan and snezhnaya. if snezhnaya is about love that could also be really interesting, as you could also feasibly slap it most of everywhere, too.

sometimes i forget that people on here don’t know i’m visually impaired/legally blind, or that that’s even a thing with people with albinism (i’m actually like…blind. not in the “oh haha i’m like a bat, i can’t see the board!”, it’s the “i’m never going to be able to get a drivers license unless it’s extremely, extremely limited to daytime and two lane highways only, needs an iep, can’t read less than size 24 font without squinting, reads braille because my eyes get tired, can’t see snow/rainfall, can’t see 3d, can barely see my keyboard” kind of way) so when i try to make a blind joke it doesn’t hit as hard as it does if you know me irl. sigh.
