❝ I ONLY LOVE IT WHEN YOU TOUCH ME, NOT FEEL ME ❞
──── Warm jets of water bathed every inch of Toji's skin, the sound of water falling onto the floor in a cascade echoed throughout the bathroom. With his heightened senses, Toji quickly noticed the presence of another person with him in the bathroom, but soon flashed a brief smile when he realized it was you.
After observing over his shoulders, he goes back to soaking his dark hair, removing any remaining traces of shampoo. You allowed yourself to feel the droplets dripping from Toji's body as you hugged him from behind, uniting both bodies.
Even though you and Toji were just hooking up, the intense connection between you two was undeniable and the chemistry you possessed was palpable. When your bodies were together, they exuded lust.
"I don't usually shower with an audience, doll." He says playfully, without even turning in your direction.
"Would you prefer I leave?" You ask softly, as you slowly kiss Toji's shoulder blades.
"You know well that staying here is dangerous, don't you?" He turns to face you, his eyes locking with yours, both gazes silently expressing desire, orbs burning under each other's stare.
"Tsk, and what more could happen?" Your arms wrap around Toji's neck after your suggestive question.
"Playing the dumb little girl doesn't suit you at all." He responds promptly, moving his face slightly closer to yours.
You feel graced by the sight before you: Toji displaying a small and suggestive smile, his tempting scar curving along with it, his wet hair dripping and water running down his muscular body. Now, still trapped under Toji's penetrating gaze, you can feel him brushing his cock against your skin, soon bringing his mouth to your ear.
"It's getting hot in here, don't you think?" He whispers, the warm breath blowing against the side of your face, making your body shiver all over.
You are already more than surrendered to Toji's firm touches on your equally water-soaked body. His mouth trails a path to yours, where he doesn't hesitate to kiss you with a certain roughness. The atmosphere shifts completely; the only sounds echoing through the bathroom are the waterfall of the shower and the vulgar sounds coming from the two of you.
"I need you so much, Toji..." You whimper, pouting softly against his lips.
In a sudden gesture, Toji lifts you effortlessly off the ground, pressing your body against the cold and wet wall. His mouth moves away from yours just to better capture your expression when he thrusts his hard cock into your intimacy.
Your pleasure rapidly escalates, your senses overridden by an overpowering urge to cry out for Toji after the initial thrusts into your needy pussy.
"Do you like it this way, kitty? Do you like how my cock hits you just right, huh?" Toji taunts mockingly, growling hoarsely as he hits deeper.
It seemed magical the control Toji had over your body, how powerless you felt when his cock was treating your pussy this way. It was never in your plans to be completely surrendered to Toji, but it wasn't something you could decide or choose, he had that hold over you.
"A-ah, Toji!" Your whimpers please Toji's ears. The shower water still flowed incessantly, both the moans and the friction between bodies seemed to compete for which sound sounded louder.
"Come on, sweetie, cum for me, cum with me." Toji urges. Your vision blurs and the knot in your belly unravels as you reach the peak. Toji reaches his own climax simultaneously, releasing the thick and milky liquid inside you, mixing it with your juices. The sweat of both is washed away by the shower above as you both try to align your heavy breaths, your once desire-filled gazes now reflecting satisfaction.
⠀
So I don't leave you all missing me for too long 🤭
I tried to correct it briefly, but I'm too tired to distinguish what's right or wrong there, sorryyy :c

moved on ~ thomas shelby;peaky blinders

description: in which his ex comes back after two years, and his fiancée is worried about what this means for their engagement
pairing: thomas shelby x female!reader
warnings: swearing, use of y/n
masterlist (one, two, three)
Tommy didn't expect to fall in love after Grace had ran off. He had loved her more than he loved anyone, and he thought he'd never find that love again.
Until he met (Y/N).
They met at an event Tommy had to attend. He only went to make an appearance, and was looking for a way to leave when he spotted her. Right away, he was taken by her. He spent the rest of the night talking to her, and even drove her home at the end of the night.
Within two months, Tommy had proposed. He couldn't risk losing this one. She made him feel even better than he had with Grace. (Y/N) was the one, he was sure of it. So, he asked her to marry him, and he was beyond ecstatic when she said yes.
Everything was perfect, until the day Tommy took (Y/N) to the races.
It was a scorching hot day in Birmingham. Tommy and his brothers were set to go to the races, and obviously he had asked (Y/N) to come with them. She was wearing a summer dress that Tommy had bought for her and, as he had predicted, she looked breathtaking in it. He couldn't keep his eyes - or his hands - off of her.
"You're going to cause a scandal," (Y/N) teased as Tommy's hand made its way under her dress again.
"No one's looking, love," Tommy assured her, moving her hair from her shoulder so he could start kissing her neck.
(Y/N) fought the pleasure his actions were giving her to push him away. As good as Tommy made her feel, she was no going to let him have his way with her in public.
"Can you get me something to drink?" she asked. "I'm parched, and quite hot."
"Of course, darling."
Tommy gave her a quick peck before going to find a concessions stand.
He was waiting for their drinks when a familiar voice said, "Tommy?"
He thought he imagined it, but he realized that couldn't be it. He hadn't even thought of her in years. There's no way he would suddenly be imagining her again. So, he allowed himself to turn, and there she was.
Grace.
Just as beautiful as the day she left him.
"I didn't expect to see you here," she said.
"I didn't expect to see you anywhere," Tommy responded. "I thought you fell off the face of the Earth. Since I never heard from you and all."
A flash of guilt showed on Grace's face. It made Tommy happy to know she felt guilty for what she did.
"I can't apologize enough - "
"No, you can't," Tommy said. He was finally given his drinks. He took them and began to walk away from her.
"Wait!" She took hold of his arm, stopping him in his tracks. "Please, let me explain. I'll tell you everything."
Tommy looked down at her hand. It was hard to miss the diamond ring on her ring finger.
"Will your husband be okay with that?"
She seemed to bristle a little at the comment, but she managed to keep her composure. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind me catching up with an old friend."
Tommy held his tongue from correcting her. He wanted to know the truth about what happened with Grace. Even if that's all their meeting was - which it would be - then it could at least be some closure for him. He agreed to Grace's proposal, but only under the condition that she meet him at the Garrison. He needed to have some sort of control in this situation.
It was only as Tommy was walking back to his seat that he realized he hadn't told Grace he was engaged. In fact, he had completely forgotten about (Y/N) for those few moments.
She was still in her seat wen he got back, eagerly watching the current race. The moment he laid his eyes on her, Tommy felt his heart swell. He realized that he felt nothing but contempt for Grace. He wasn't eager for their meeting at the Garrison as he would've been nearly two years ago. It was nothing more than a business meeting to him now, because his heart belonged to one woman.
(Y/N) looked over her shoulder and smiled at him. "You've been gone for some time. Did you get lost?"
He smiled back. Instead of responding, he sat with her and kissed her cheek. (Y/N) giggled and leaned into him.
Tommy thought about telling (Y/N) about Grace, but he wasn't sure how to. He didn't want her to get upset over Grace's appearance, and their agreement of a private meeting, but he knew there was no way to bring it up without (Y/N) getting upset. He couldn't blame her either. If the roles were reversed and one of (Y/N)'s exes were trying to reconnect with her...well, that person wouldn't be around much longer.
(Y/N) looked up at Tommy and nudged him. "Are you alright? You look deep in thought."
"I saw Grace," he blurted.
"Grace? Like...the Grace?" Tommy nodded. "When? Just then?" He nodded again. "Oh, wow. What did she say?"
"She asked if we could meet up to talk about her leaving."
"What did you say?"
"I told her we could meet at the Garrison."
(Y/N) nodded, her face unreadable. "When?"
"Tomorrow night."
"And...did you tell her about me?"
Tommy was silent. He couldn't lie to her, and his silence was enough of an answer. She turned away from him to focus on the race again. She felt so many emotions that she couldn't even place them. She knew Tommy loved her, and she knew he was loyal, but she was also aware of Tommy and Grace's past. He told her everything about their relationship when they first got together. So she knew how intense Tommy and Grace's relationship had been, and how broken he was when she left.
Tommy reached over and put his hand on her leg. "Love, look at me."
(Y/N) reluctantly turned to face her fiance.
"I will call the meeting off if it makes you uncomfortable," he said. "Or you can come and be there when it happens."
She shook her head. "No, I think that will likely make it more awkward."
Tommy cupped her face. "Do you trust me?"
"My mind is screaming that I shouldn't, but my heart says I do." She chuckled and added, "That sounded so cheesy."
"It did," Tommy agreed. He pulled her towards him to place a kiss on her lips. "I promise this is nothing more than a meeting to get some closure. Any love I felt for Grace disappeared when she did. You are the only woman who has my heart, and that will never change."
(Y/N) smiled and leaned into Tommy. "I believe you. Just...tell her about me the moment she shows up, okay?"
"I will, love."
~~~~~~
The next night, (Y/N) was pacing her and Tommy's shared living room. Tommy had left for his meeting with Grace moments ago. He had kissed her and told her he wouldn't be long, and she had smiled at him but didn't speak. Once he was gone, she had stood and immediately began to walk around the house. Her nerves were making it impossible to be still.
She told Tommy she had trusted him, and that wasn't a lie, but she couldn't help the gnawing feeling of unease and jealousy. It was a cliche to say, but it was Grace she didn't trust. She didn't know Grace besides what Tommy had told her about their previous relationship, and the fact that Grace was now married. But would that be enough to stop Grace from wanting to make a move on Tommy? Would Tommy's engagement be enough?
Her mind would not rest. She was starting to regret telling Tommy she wasn't going to accompany him to the meeting. Even if it would've been awkward, at least her mind would've been at ease.
Before she could register what she was doing, (Y/N) was pulling on a coat and heading out the door. She started walking towards the Garrison. She knew it was a bad idea to just drop in on Tommy and Grace's meeting, but the not knowing was killing her. She couldn't just stay home and wait for Tommy to come back.
It was a slow night at the pub. There were a few men sat along the bar, and three men sat around one table. Harry was wiping down some glassware at the bar when (Y/N) walked in. He regarded her and nodded towards the private room that the Shelby's frequented, signaling that Tommy was still in there. (Y/N) walked towards the room, intending to knock before entering, until she heard a woman's voice on the other side.
"I never meant to hurt you, Tommy. I know I betrayed you, and nothing can ever change that. But you have to know that I did love you - that I do love you. I left Birmingham because I knew it would be better for you if I did, but I never stopped thinking about you."
"What about your husband?" came Tommy's voice.
"I love him, but I'm not in love with him. He has been a marriage of convenience more than anything. He was there, and he had a good job and a good life, and I hadn't hurt him."
There was silence. (Y/N) could only imagine what was happening on the other side of the door. She hadn't missed Grace admitting to still being in love with Tommy, and even if it seemed Tommy had. Or maybe was just ignoring the fact that she said it.
Or maybe he was happy to hear it?
"I've missed you so much, Tommy," came Grace's voice, soft. "I've thought about you every day since I left. I've been hoping for a day where I could see you again, just one more time, and as for you to give me another chance."
(Y/N) could feel her heart breaking. Tears were welling up in her eyes as she backed away from the door. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Harry looking at her. She wouldn't look directly at him, but she could make out the look of pity on his face. He must've known what was happening in that room, or had some idea anyways.
She was about to leave when she heard Tommy say, "Any chances you had left when you did, Grace."
(Y/N)'s ears perked back up as she moved back towards the door.
"I loved you once, Grace. If you had come back, even after admitting to me your betrayal, I might've taken you back. But I've moved on now. I have found a woman that I love more than anything in this world, and who loves me just as much. There is nothing and no one in this world who could convince me to leave (Y/N), not even you."
There was a silence on the other side. It wasn't until the knob started to turn on the door that (Y/N) realized Grace was leaving. She quickly stumbled away from the door just before it swung open and hit her. She was stood frozen as she looked at Grace - beautiful, blonde, elegant Grace, stood in a crimson red dress and her hair curled. Grace seemed just as shocked to see someone standing on the other side, but swiftly moved around (Y/N) to exit the pub as quickly as possible.
Tommy was sat at the table with a lit cigarette to his mouth. He didn't look surprised to see (Y/N). He took a long drag and blew it out of the corner of his mouth, before motioning with his fingers for (Y/N) to join him.
"I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't mean to - "
"How much of it did you hear?" he asked.
"Well, I arrived sometime before her love confession."
"Which one?"
(Y/N) felt an angry heat rise in her face. "There were multiple?"
"There was two. Three, if you count her asking for another chance at the end there."
"Well, in that case I arrived before the second one."
Tommy reached out for his fiancée, gently touching her arm and pulling her to sit next to him.
"So you heard what I said to her, then?" he asked. (Y/N) nodded. "And you know I meant every word."
"Of course I do," she said. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have just shown up like this. I just couldn't settle down at home while I waited for you. I needed to be here."
"I did offer for you to sit in on the meeting." His tone was light and there was a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. That's how (Y/N) knew he wasn't being serious, or that he wasn't upset about her appearance.
"I know. I should've taken you up on that," she said. She leaned close to Tommy and kissed his cheek. "I love you."
"I love you, too, darling. Don't ever think that I don't."
"I won't. I promise."
summary: carmy secretly books a lake-front hotel room in chicago for your anniversary.
Carmy would be the first to admit he’s not very good at being romantic.
He forgets, lets things slip through the cracks, time and time again. He makes up for it, and you understand of course, but he’s working on it.
When your anniversary is approaching, he knows he has to make a plan. Busy with the restaurant, the menu, the money - all of it was overwhelming, but your not-so-subtle reminder of the date gave him the idea.
“So…” you had joined him in your shared kitchen, hand brushing through his curls as he slaved over a pan sauce he’d been perfecting.
“Yes?” He wasn’t annoyed - never annoyed, by you - but in the thralls of cooking, nonetheless.
“It’s our anniversary next weekend and I was thinking we’d try out that new restaurant you were talking about. You know… the one that’s suuuuuper hard to get a reservation at?” You smiled coyly as he held out the spoon with the hot liquid on it, wordlessly asking you for a taste-test.
“Sounds good,” he had remarked, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek and returning to the task at hand. “I’ll make a call.”
“Thank you, Carm,” you let your hands roam his clothed back as you feel the sauce between your lips and on your tongue. “That’s delicious.”
He hummed in response, as your hands drifted down to his sides and played at the hem of his t-shirt. “After our anniversary dinner I have a little… present for you.”
Before he could respond, you had slipped away to the bedroom, only flashing him a smirk before closing the door.
The weekend of your anniversary had approached quickly, and Carmy had actually managed to get everything in place. The reservation for dinner was set, his gift burning a hole in his pocket, and thoughts of what your gift to him may entail swirling around in his head.
You walked out of your shared bedroom, adorning a black dress that hugged your body perfectly. Jewelry to match - done up just right, effortlessly perfect for the occasion. His hand came up to his mouth as he took you in, thanking whatever God above that brought you to him.
“Too much?” You asked, toying with your hair in the mirror and correcting the edge of your lipstick.
“No,” Carmy answered, coming up behind you in the mirror and admiring your form. “Perfect.”
You felt yourself blush as he took your hand and held it to his lips, kissing your knuckles and pulling you into him. “Ready?”
~
Dinner came and passed, shared glasses of wine between the two of you as you reminisced about past times together. Carmy had always been shy, but easy to talk to, especially when he had some time to open up. You gave him space to do that - he’d never felt more comfortable with anybody before, somebody he trusted with everything. You listened, told him what he needed to hear when he needed to hear it, and kept him in check all while supporting him from the sidelines and meshing perfectly into his insane life. He was eternally grateful for finding you.
He slides a small box across the table at dinner, and when you open it up, you gasp at what’s inside. A dainty necklace, a glossy “C” hanging on the end of it, where it would sit against your chest.
You let his deft fingers close the tiny clasp behind your neck, the pendant hanging perfectly, glimmering in the amber candlelight of the restaurant. “You’re gonna make me cry,” you laugh through a watery smile, Carmy’s hand crossing the table to slide into yours. Warm skin against warm skin, you smile at his small display of affection, tilting your glass towards him as he clinked it with yours.
You notice something might be up when you get back into his car, and he doesn’t take the turn off back to your shared apartment. Instead, he veers off into another lane, holding onto your thigh and giving it a gentle squeeze for encouragement.
You’re down by the water now, making a confused expression at your surroundings. City lights around you, the bustling of other people on dates or nights out, as Carmy pulls into the parking lot of a hotel.
“What are we doing here?” You look at the people stepping into the hotel lobby, some dressed in clothing that was probably more than your rent. He wordlessly turns off his car and exits through the driver’s side, saying something to the valet before grabbing a bag out of the back seat and rounding back to your side. He opens the door for you and takes your hand, before leading you through the doors and into the grand front lobby.
Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling above as he took your hand and lead you to the front desk, a confused scowl still across your features. The person at the front desk waved you two over, typing something into the computer. “Good evening. Checking in?”
Carmy nods, handing over his ID and credit card before smiling down at you.
“We’re checking in?”
“Happy Anniversary.”
You have to make sure your mouth isn’t hanging open, as Carmy’s coy smile plays along his lips.
“You didn’t have to do all of this,” you whisper to him, feeling heat spread across your cheeks as you take in your surroundings. Your hand slips into his as you press your cheek to his jacketed shoulder. “Let me show you to your room.”
An elevator ride to the top floor has you antsy, as the attendant opens the door for you to your room. She reveals a lake-front room, with views of the harbour, twinkling lights in the distance reflecting onto the massive floor-to-ceiling window. “Is it to your liking, Mr. and Mrs. Berzatto?”
A blush runs up your cheeks as the insinuation. Carmy didn’t correct her, just slipped her a tip and assured her the room was perfect. The door clicked politely behind you as you stepped into the room and kicked off your shoes. You turned around to meet Carmy’s eyes as his expression softened, your hands coming up to cup his face.
“I can’t believe you did this.” You’re breathless, still taking in this grand gesture he’d somehow planned completely behind your back.
“You deserve it,” he said simply, tongue darting between his lips as a strong hand came to overlap yours.
~
The sun had gone down now, navy sky further illuminating the lights below. Rain slacked against the window, simultaneously hard and soft, the glow of the bedside lamps casting shadows on the walls as you got yourself settled. Carmy had abandoned his jacket and tie, leaving him in a crisp white button-up shirt and black slacks. He was laid back on the bed, one hand behind his head, taking some time to relax.
You dipped into the bathroom, smoothing out your hair and checking your makeup in the mirror. You undid the back of your dress and let it slip down your body into a pool on the tile, revealing the gift you’d picked out for Carmy. A black lace set - cupping your breasts perfectly. Lace panties to match, connected to stockings that came high up on your thighs.
You stepped out, stocking-clad feet soft against the carpet. Carmy immediately notices, eyes blown wide as he sits up to take you in.
“Thought you might want your gift now,” you sauntered towards him and met him at the end of the bed, his thighs spread for you to fit between them. His hands immediately came up to touch - to confirm you were real, mostly - because his brain was telling him you weren’t.
You looked down at him, cupping his chin with your hand and the other coming down to his shoulder. Pushing down on him gently, his back hit the mattress, wild eyes not moving off of you for even a second.
You move to straddle his lap, fingers coming down to start unfurling the buttons on his shirt, revealing the soft skin of his chest. Carmy’s rough, calloused fingertips pressed into the plush skin of your hips, eyes wanting to flutter closed but being too entranced by the sight before him to look away.
His fiery eyes fell to the swell of your breasts, hands coming up to press and squeeze at the skin there, thumbs ghosting over your hard nipples. You felt your back arch, pressing against his palms, wanting more, as much of him as you could get.
Carmy’s hands slid down your body to find your clothed core, eliciting a small moan from your lips. You rutted into his hand slightly, feeling his skilful fingers start to work at you over the lace.
You weren’t expecting to give him the upper hand, but it was hard not to submit to his touch - wholly his, looking down at him but still feeling as though he had all the power.
He was sitting up now, pushing your panties to the side and feeling the slick between your folds, maintaining eye contact with you through it all. “Carm,” you panted, strained, embarrassed to be coming apart for him already.
As if he knew, he pulled away, wordlessly bringing his fingers up to your lips. You wrapped your mouth around them, letting your tongue dart between the digits as he wet them with your spit.
“Pretty girl,” he muttered, only loud enough for you to hear, earnest eyes looking up at you, fuzzy around the edges with lust. “My pretty slut, aren’t you?”
“Just for you,” you replied, a smirk on the corner of your lip as he swiftly grabbed your hips and flipped you to have your back on the soft hotel comforter.
He stood before you, giving you a chance to unbutton the rest of his shirt and undo his dress pants, his hand now cradling your chin. You pushed his slacks to the floor, rubbing his thick cock over the fabric of his black boxers. His hand came down to pet your hair, taking a fistful of it at the nape and pulling it back to reveal your shiny lips and eager eyes to him. The pendant he purchased for you glinted in the light.
“Tell me how bad you want it.”
His firm hand on the back of your neck was enough to make your cunt weep, even without his touch. “Please, I need your cock. Please.”
“Good girl. Sit up, all fours.”
You quickly found yourself on your knees on the soft bed, as he let his cock free. He pumped it a few times, angling your mouth with his grip to allow it to drop open. He pressed forward, slipping in between your wet lips and eliciting a carnal groan from his throat. You let yourself submit to his face-fucking, using your mouth to get himself off, leaking tip pressing against the back of your throat. You gagged around him, throat constricting, which only emboldened him to continue. Spit escaped the corners of your lips as you took him in, swallowing him down, all while looking up and batting your long lashes at him.
“Taking it so good,” he remarked, with a particularly long thrust into your throat. Leaning forward, his broad hand found a fistful of your ass, squeezing it before planting a firm spank. A yelp escaped your lips, as tears pricked at the corners of your eyes from the force of him in your throat.
He pulled you off, cock bobbing between his legs before he smeared the spit that had collected all over your plush lips. “So fucking good for me, baby.”
You smiled triumphantly as he leaned down to kiss you sloppily, mixing your spit with his and taking the time to undo your bra and throw it to the ground.
You didn’t even mind when he pushed you back onto the bed, pulling the stockings and panties off to meet your bra on the floor, surely ripping them. His hands pushed your thighs apart, wet pussy on full display as he dove right in, not giving you even a second to catch your breath.
“Fu-uck,” your voice was hoarse and jagged, his warm tongue feeling like it was everywhere. You squirmed beneath his strong squeeze, forcing your back off the mattress as he licked a broad stripe up your centre and flashed his eyes up at you.
Your eyes were trained on his movements, knowing better than to close them. Your hand came down to his sandy curls, feeling your breath quicken as he suckled on your clit, moving his jaw in such a way that was sending an electrifying pulse up your spine.
He moved one hand from your thigh to circle your entrance with his middle finger, enjoying the way you shuddered at the feeling. “Please,” you begged, watching as he detached his tongue from your clit to simply play with your hole. “Please, I need you inside of me.”
His lips pursed as he waited for you to understand why he wasn’t proceeding. A knowing glance, a sob from you as he teased you. “Are you talking to me? I don’t think I heard you correctly.”
“Please, daddy. Please fuck me with your fingers.”
“That’s better.” He plunged into you, thick finger curling inside as you let out a choked sob, your cunt pulsing around him as he moved in and out. His lips attached to your clit once again, sucking and grinding his tongue into you, other hand coming up along your stomach to grab your tit and pinch your nipple.
You rasped his name, throat raw from his previous fucking, letting it pour out of your lips over and over. He lapped at you - feeling every quiver from your pussy and shake of your legs as he continued at a bruising pace, not letting up no matter how much you squirmed beneath him. Still pushing you into the mattress, his own cock rutting against the sheets and growing harder every second that his mouth is on you.
A white-hot feeling spread across the back of your thighs, back arched as you tugged on his hair and met his gaze. He rode out your high with you, letting you gush around his fingers and feeling waves of pleasure rise and fall as your breath steadied. Your chest heaving, sticky with sweat, mascara smeared at the edges as you laid back, feeling Carmy’s fingers pull out and his mouth detach from you.
He found himself between your thighs once more, rock-hard cock sliding between your slick folds to tease your overly sensitive clit. He kissed you, a hunger within him, arms coming up under you to hold you as close as possible. Bare skin against bare skin, his mouth sucking in your bottom lip and biting down slightly, eliciting a smile from you and a depraved moan from your lips.
You reached down between your two bodies and slipped his cock into your ready pussy, swallowing him inside of you and hearing his gasp against your lips at the friction. A shameless grunt as his hips drove into you relentlessly, his curls falling into your face as your head tipped back, letting his mouth attach to the side of your throat and suck a bruise into the soft skin beneath your ear. Your hands found the strong muscles of his back, digging them into his skin and finding your legs wrapping around his middle.
An assaulting pace, languidly in and out of you as you met his eyes, pure lust and fire behind them. You could see the idea flash across his eyes.
He pulled out of you gingerly, as you winced at the loss of contact. He pulled you up with him, towards the windows of the hotel room.
He lightly pushed you against the cold glass, earning a sinful moan from your lips as he took your hands hostage behind your back. The rain still pelted down outside, a symphony against your hard and fast breath.
“Why don’t you show all those people how you like to get fucked, huh? Show them what a slut you are?”
A devilish smile on your lips was met with your cheek against the glass, a broad palm on the opposite side of your face, as his cock slid back into your pussy with ease. Your ass was pushed out for him to land a firm slap on it once again, picking up his pace. His hand came around to push your legs apart, playing with your clit and drawing you close once again, as he released your hands to leave prints on the glass.
“Fill me up, please daddy,” you moaned, letting your head fall slack. “I want you to cum so fucking deep inside of me, fuck,” — another spank, paired with jagged thrusts as Carmy got closer to finishing — “fuck me like you own me, baby.”
“I do own you,” he growled, forehead pressed against your shoulder blades as he felt your pussy clench around him. “Cum baby, cum with all those people fucking watching you.”
“You own me Carmen, I’m yours.” you chanted, turning around to meet his eyes. You watched his eyes glaze over and jaw hang open as his thrusts slowed, making a mess of your pussy as he came deep inside of you.
Your second orgasm followed soon after, cock twitching inside of you as you clenched around him. He pressed a kiss to your shoulder as you stepped away from the glass, legs unstable as a furious warmth came up over your cheeks.
After getting cleaned up together in the bathroom, he flicked off the light as you turned towards the window. His body pressed up against yours, arm secured around your waist as he peppered kisses along your neck and shoulders, musing about how beautiful you are.
“Best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he whispered, another kiss to the outer shell of your ear that made a shiver go up your spine. “I love you more than anything.”
You curled into him and listened to the relaxing rain, his steadying breath and strong arm lulling you safely to sleep.
'𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎'𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓!'
ೄྀ࿐♡ ˊˎ- you surpise your beloved mentor satoru gojo by baking him a birthday cake with your boyfriend megumi!
꘎♡⋆。˚ megumi!fushiguro x reader!
"We bake it?"
The hopeful gleam in your eyes is almost too much for Megumi to bear as he sighs, looking away from you with a grimace.
"Come on Gumi, it's his birthday! He's been so busy lately too, you know I checked his schedule - he has class with us! On his birthday of all days!" You exclaim, eyes wide and determined as Megumi rubs the back of his neck with a sigh
Baking a cake for Satoru Gojo seemed ridiculous - the man had enough money to buy himself a much more sophisticated and professional cake than you two could ever make.
But the idea of baking something with you - images of you in an apron with flour smudging your pink cheeks had Megumi's defensive hand lowering. His eyes narrow a fraction, and he seems to be in deep thought as he stayed silent - staring at you and contemplating your request earnestly.
You smile is full of optimism as you wait patiently for your boyfriend to respond, gently interlacing your hands with Megumi's in a way he simply could not resist - it seems the deal is sealed when he lets out an annoyed sigh.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" You squeal, not even giving him the chance to get a word out as you pepper his face in kisses - stumbling over your feet as you reach over the bed you two were sitting on and fumbling with your laces, hastily tying your shoes.
"I already ordered the ingredients! I just need to pick them up now- meet me in the kitchen in half an hour Gumi! Bye-"
Megumi rubs the spot on his cheek that you had kissed as he watches you leave his dorm room - you're practically bursting with excitement, and he can hear your hurried steps running down the hall as he smiles softly to himself
It didn't take long until you were absolutely coated in the ingredients - pink frosting was smeared on your lips after Megumi took a taste of it from a spoon and promptly kissed you right after- and unfortunately for you, there was undoubtedly enough floor in your hair to make a small cake with leftover batter. He managed to stay mostly clean, but your case was a whole different story.
You're sitting in front of the oven watching your creation rise with a proud smile - Megumi cleans up the mess the two of you made in the kitchen, his eyes occasionally drifting towards you as he wipes down the counters.
"Ten more minutes-"
"Eleven." You correct, not tearing your eyes away from the cake residing inside the oven as you lick your lips - the frosting coating them from earlier soothing your hunger just the slightest bit as Megumi lowers himself onto the ground beside you
"He's being treated like a damn princess because of you." He mumbles, and you lay your head in his lap with a laugh as he brushes the few sprinkled bits of flour on your brow line
"Mmm. Maybe. I hate to break it to you, but he kind of is a princess."
Your comment gets a snort out of Megumi as he ruffles your hair gently before placing a kiss onto your scalp. His nose was dusted with the flour from your hair when he sat back up, and you can't help but giggle softly at the sight
It's not too long until you're icing the words "Happy Birthday!" onto the pink and blue cake, Megumi's hand guiding your hand as your trace the letters. His hands are steady and his cursive so beautiful you almost want to cry out of adoration.
"How do you write so wonderfully?" You question softly, watching Megumi's arm move with his uniform sleeves pushed up while he worked diligently
"I'm a god." He mutters, standing back to admire his penmanship with a genuine smile on his lips. You almost agree with him - his handwriting truly looked like it was pressed straight from a fancy printer.
"Yeah - stop drooling Gumi. Let's get this boxed up!" You squeal, grabbing the box you and Megumi prepared to package Satoru's gift in as he rolls his eyes with a grumble, handing you the neatly cut ribbon to wrap it.
He watches how carefully you place the cake into the box, your lips pursed as you package Gojo's cake with a patience that was rare for your hyper self.
He loved the sight in front of him - the girl he loved baking with a type of devotion that stemmed straight from the core of your heart. The dim kitchen light gave you the appearance of an angel, and Megumi wants nothing more than to freeze time and live in this moment with you forever
"I love you."
The words move past his lips before he can even process them in his mind, but he doesn't seem to regret them at all as he stares at you with those eyes - the ones that have your heart fluttering in your chest.
"I love you more Gumi bear!" You sing-song, a small part of you ecstatic with the fact that Megumi allowed himself to be vulnerable with you in this moment, mumbling the sacred three words he usually only whispered in your ear during his most intimate moments.
You're immediately jumping into his arms and practically tackling him with your hug - he mumbles a quiet shut it into your cheek as you laugh
Yes. He'd like to live in this moment forever.
┆ ° ♡ • ➵ ✩ ◛ °
"A gift? For me?"
You nod happily, and the smile on your face has Gojo leaning forward to pinch your cheek affectionately
"I know this was all my sweetheart Y/n's idea - right Megumi?" Gojo questions, turning to the dark haired boy with a bright grin as your boyfriend merely rolls his eyes
"Well, open it. We spent a long time- "
Gojo lifts the heavy box placed on the table in front of him, shaking it with your precious cake inside hard. His enthusiasm is shooting right through the roof as he examines the box with a thoughtful hum
"Heh. Definitely something hefty inside there, am I right?"
Megumi face palms as you stand there slack jawed- blinking back your horror
"Uhm-"
Gojo shakes the box again, harder than he did the first - missing the way you wince.
"I can definitely feel something shaking around in there. Ooo can I guess what's inside? It's matching pajamas for all of us! Am I right??"
As for being the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in history, he certainly wasn't the brightest one all the time.
Nonetheless, the night ended with the three of you eating spoonfulls of the mushed cake inside the box, your head in Megumi's lap and Gojo's laughter so loud it was heard classrooms over from the one you all were in.
Summary: Colin finally has a chance to speak with you. Will you be open to his confession or will Whistledown create a bridge between one another? [ part 1 & part 2 & part 3 & part 4 & part 5 & part 6 & part 8 & part 9 & part 10]
“Please.”
Colin looked over your shoulder to his brother Anthony. Anthony gave him a nod back, glancing over his shoulders to see if anyone was watching. Colin took you by the arm, pulling you along with him. Anthony followed, grabbing Benedict by the shoulder for him to follow. Benedict nearly stumbled over his own feet, confused as to where they were going. Anthony staid close behind Colin, to shield you from any prying eyes.
“Colin I do not.” – you breathed out, not wanting to have a conversation with him. Colin tightened his grip around you leading you up to the doors. Two doormen opened the door. The three men leaving with you under a close watch from them. Colin looked from left to right in the nearly abandoned hallway. – “There.” – Anthony pointed out, placing his hand on Colin’s shoulder. Colin’s gaze followed his brothers point. He nodded moving firmly to the right. – “What are we doing?” – Benedict questioned as Anthony shushed him.
Colin’s hand grabbed the doorhandle firm, opening the door. The moment he tried to push you inside, you protested. – “No!” – you called out loud, swaying your arm back that he grip faltered on you. – “Y/n please.” – Colin begged taking your hand. Out of protest, you pulled it away. – “I only need five minutes of your time. Please Y/n I beg of you, hear me out.” – Colin pleaded. – “You’ve got two.” – Anthony corrected, knowing his brother should not be too long in a room with you alone. Colin pushed you hastened into the room.
Anthony shutting the door behind him as he came standing before it. – “You sneaky little devil.” – Bendict commented, slowly having a clue of what was happening. – “Oh do shut up.” – Anthony responded. You groaned in distress that Colin had tricked you. Now there was no way for you to leave. – “Y/n hear me…” – Colin began as you created a distance between him and you.
Moving behind the desk in the room to be as far away from him. – “No!” – you called out, gaze falling on a pillow on the chair in front of you. You took it, throwing it at Colin. Colin deflected it as the pillow thumped against the door. – “I like you!” – he called out taking a step closer to you.
“You lie!” – you yelled back at him, wanting to have another pillow so desperate to throw at him. – “Why would I lie about my feelings?” – Colin shouted in desperation. Taking a deep breath, he reached the desk in three firm paces. Coming to the side as you slowly backed away towards the side-window. – “When you proposed, I should’ve accepted. I should’ve seen clearly how much you mean to me.” – he started, pouring his heart you. - “Stop…” – you asked, not wanting to hear more. – “Ever since we were children, I never saw you. I was foolish, childish.” – Colin went on approaching you with each confession.
“I see you now Y/n Featherington.” – he ended with a yearning voice. – “Stop.” – you called out louder, shaking your head. – “I will not deny my feelings for you any longer. I cannot hide them away.” – Colin started again reaching for your hand. You moved your hand up, so he couldn’t touch it. – “Colin. Please, stop!” – you pleaded. – “Every moment away from you is pure agony Y/n. Do you not understand that I would stop the world for you.” – Colin answered in desperation.
“Colin, this conversation… I cannot do this.” – you shook your head with a pained expression. – “Is it because you cannot put your own happiness above your sisters?” – Colin asked. – “Your elder sisters are married off.” – Colin breathed out. – “You do not have to glorify them anymore. You do not have to put their happiness above yours. Pen…” – he exhaled out. – “Pen will find someone, but do not put your own happiness aside Y/n.” – Colin begged, hoped you would do for a change.
“It is admiring how much effort you’ve put in your sisters. Glorifying them, praise them higher than anyone else for them to find a match, but you forget.” – Colin took a piece of your dress in his hands, pulling you closer to him. – “You forgot yourself.” – he finished as he noticed how glossy your eyes had become. Blinking slowly, it made a tear escape, rolling down your cheek. – “I cannot…” – you whispered wiping your eye dry.
Colin stared stunned at you. As you moved away from him, his fingers holding a bit of your dress, slipped off. You walked towards the door as Colin wasn’t going to give up so easily. – “It’s about Whistledown is it not? What she wrote about you in her sheet?” – Colin spoke as it made you pause at the door. – “It nearly ruined my family’s reputation.” – you told him without a glance. – “Why would I care about her lies?” – Colin called out.
“Because I care!” – you shouted at him, face blazing hot from screaming out your words. Cheeks stained with tears. – “You do not understand, if I admit to this. To my feelings, I cannot stop her… I cannot stop what she might write about you.” – you cried out seeing the sheer confusion and panic in his eyes. – “You… you speak as if you know her.” – Colin questioned.
Pressing your lips together to stop them from trembling, there were loud knocks on the door. – “Y/n!” – Colin called out as you opened the door. Running past a confused Anthony and Benedict. Colin hastened past his brothers to go after you. – “Brother?” – Anthony called out in confusion. Both of them running after Colin.
You hurried back into the room where the ton was blazing. The warmness of the crowd suffocating you. Looking over your shoulder, you had a hunch Colin would stop at nothing. Heart pounding loud in your chest as you tried to ignore his confession. If you accepted it for a only a second, you would lose yourself over it. Pushing yourself through the people, you gasped stumbling forwards as you had forced yourself to squeeze between two tight groups with their backs at each other.
Your stumbling made you bump against one of the dancer girls. She squealed getting bumped aside as the lord she was dancing with was finishing his round. He grabbed for your hand, mindlessly as you got pulled into the dance with him. It took him about a few seconds into the dance to realize you were not his previous dance partner. He looked confused around yet held you captive in the dance. The music swept up as you were out of sync with the upbeat dance.
Stumbling and tripping over your own feet as you tried to catch up with all the hopping and spinning. The lord took your hand, hopping with you, following the circle of hopping dancers that went around flowery piece in the centre. Watching the crowd, you saw Colin appear, pushing a man aside by his shoulders. His gaze locking on you, chest heaving with pants.
The hopping came to a stop as the lord pulled at your hand, forcing you to form a circle with other dancers. Around the ballroom having formed four little circle groups. Another lord grabbed your hand firm as you were stuck. Gasping loud, you saw Colin jump through, taking the place of a lord. The lady quirked her eyebrow up at Colin at her side.
There was little time to comment on his rude involvement as all of them ran towards the middle, joining each other, till they spread out once more. The music fastening as it left a chased feeling inside of you. As if needing to hurry. One lord took the lead, choosing a direction to run in. The entire circle that was holding hands with you, running to the left. Panting loud, you couldn’t seem to keep your gaze away from Colin across from you. Hands were released as all spun around.
You spun around dizzily from almost having no control in your own movements. Before you found your balance, a lord had locked his arm around yours, spinning around even more. Colin clenching his jaw as he let go of the lady’s arm, trying to move closer to you. Another lord locked his arm around yours, spinning in the opposite direction. Colin needed to take another lady’s arm as he forced her to move closer to where you were.
You were released once more, disorientated. A sudden hand on your arm, made you groan in agony, not wanting another spin. The arm moved over yours. Looking up your gaze met up with Colin’s, as you began to run around again. Both panting loud. Colin noticed the others around them had grabbed their dance partner to hop around once more. Placing his hand on your back, he gave you a soft squeeze, hopping around with you.
He came to a stop, lifting your arm up as he made you spin numerous times underneath it. If Colin was not holding you, you would’ve lost your balance and tripped. A sudden drop of Colin’s hands, moved around your lower back to put your spinning to a stop. You bumped against his chest, panting out of breath.
“I want a life with you.” – Colin whispered as the dance was over. There was loud applause. Lords and ladies thanking each other for the dance as Colin and you kept staring at each other. Feeling as if the entire ton was watching you, you pushed yourself off him. In distress, you walked off. Colin making a move to go after you, but he withheld himself. Hand on your stomach, you found your way outside.
Hoping the cold would ease your senses. Sweating you waved yourself some cool, pacing back and forth in the gardens. Thoughts spiralling. Your gaze catching something in the corner of your eye, made you stop. Full attention to your sister who had come to observe. – “You simply cannot stay away from him can you?” – Penelope said with a soft glare.
Scoffing loud, you tried to find the amusement to it. – “You will not find it humouring…” – Penelope spoke. – “When I read your latest edition?” – you pitched in, filling the blanks in for her. – “Enough sister.” – you told her. Penelope sucked in a breath, nearing. – “You cannot comprehend the torment I have been through. I am laughable to you, isn’t it?”
“Laughable?” – you called out that she could even think such a thing. – “I put my every might in showing the world how great you are. Defending you at every insult or laugh. Perhaps if you had turned your eye a bit more towards your family, and less to your ink, you would’ve seen.” – you shouted at her. – “And for you to even suggest.” – angered, you have never thought so low of your sister as now.
“You have known about my affections towards Colin for years now and you still insisted upon hurting me in the matter.” – Penelope responded with a quivering lip. – “I did not intend for this!” – you let out in pure frustration. Penelope gave you a foul glance.
“But know if you write for ruin, you write for wrath. Your envy and anger will be the dead of our family. Have you ever considered that. In case you forgot you are a Featherington too.” – you made clear with a statement. With a cold stare you got toe to toe with your sister. – “Think very hard about what you write if you draw Colin into this. You cannot simply protect yourself.” – Penelope stared with wide eyes at you.
“Y/n, Penelope everything well?” – both of you looked away, seeing Prudence stand not far from you, with a glass in her hand. You had no idea how long she stood there. Moving away from Penelope, you joined Prudence. Prudence watched you with slight confusion and a pained expression as you caught her arm, guiding her back inside.
The warmth embracing you once more. Your gaze caught Colin briefly as he stood with some lords. Your gaze was returned with one of his. Looking briefly down to drink as he watched you from afar. Letting your gaze drift away, you wondered how you got yourself so involved in a game between Featheringtons and Bridgertons. A game where there seemed to be no winners.
Knight Falls - Part 1
Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Wolverine!Reader
18+ only, read at your own risk
Summary: Your perfect life with Natasha isn't meant to stay that way with the Red Room still looking for her.
Word count: 4296
AN: The long-anticipated sequel to my "Darkest Knight" fic is here! Get ready for the ride!
“Come on, Pryde. I know you can hit harder than that,” you taunt, circling the teenager.
“These gloves are so heavy!” Kitty pants, barely able to lift her fists up to shoulder height.
“So what if they add on a few pounds?” You jab your own red foam-wrapped fist at her shoulder and Kitty goes spinning away.
“Ow!” she whines dramatically.
“Give me two good shots and you’re done,” you say.
“Fine, fine.” She shakes her head as she bounces on her feet, mirroring your posture in the ring. The rest of the students, some of them sitting on the mats and others standing anxiously, close to crossing over the peeling line of white tape that separates the spectators from the participants.
“Go Kitty!” one of her friends shouts encouragingly.
“Shut up, Jubilee,” Kitty hisses under her breath that only you can hear.
“I’m not waiting around all day,” you announce, taking a dramatic swing at half-speed. Kitty ducks and shoves at your chest, but she has nowhere near the amount of strength needed to budge your 200-plus-pound frame. “Not a good move,” you comment, bringing your fist around again.
Kitty squeals and phases; your arm passes through her shoulder and you stumble through her as you lose your balance.
“Hey! No powers,” you growl, turning to face her again and feeling the pointed tip of her elbow crack into your cheek instead.
“Ow, OW!” Kitty screams, jumping up and down as she holds her elbow with her other hand.
“Kitty, are you okay?” one of the other students calls out.
“Let me see,” you say, getting up and pulling the velcro straps of Kitty’s gloves to take them off her hands. “You’re okay. Don’t start crying on me now.”
“Why is your head so hard?” Kitty practically sobs.
You grumble while you examine her elbow, which looks perfectly normal besides a small red spot at the tip. This new generation of students were so soft sometimes. “Pull it together, kid. You’re fine. Jubilee, go with her to get some ice from the nurse’s office. Class dismissed.”
Jubilee comes forward to grab the dramatic Kitty and drag her out, while the rest of the students quickly funnel after them. You grab a mop to wipe up the mats and are just about halfway through the chore when someone knocks at the door.
“What?”
“Hey, Y/N!” It’s Ororo.
“Hey, Storm.”
“I heard you sent Kitty to the nurse’s office,” she says, walking into the training room with a chuckle.
“She did that to herself,” you correct. “I told her no powers, but you know the kids around here listen to every other word I say.”
“They love you and you know it,” Ororo responds.
“Well, they don’t act like it.”
She chuckles. “I can finish up mopping in here. The professor wants to see you in his office.”
“Oh.” You feel like you’ve been summoned to the principal’s office.
“It doesn’t have to do with Kitty. Something else with Nat,” Ororo adds when she sees the shadow of unease cross your face.
“Right.” You pass her the mop. “Thanks, I guess. Don’t miss that spot in the corner.”
“I won’t.”
You leave the training room, stomping down the long hallways. A million thoughts race through your head. Lately, Natasha had been grossly obsessed with tracking down the Red Room, to a level that it irked you the moment you heard the words. While you had promised that you would help in whatever endeavor she pursued, you were still uncomfortable at the thought of her running headlong into that danger, when you two had barely escaped it.
You had fallen back into a routine of teaching at the school and keeping some of these unruly students in check, but you were actually quite fond of it. It was nice not to be hunted like an animal or have to prepare for a fight any second. Plus, you got to spend as much time as you wanted with Natasha, and you couldn’t remember the last person you had met who had shown you such a fierce love and devotion. You loathed the idea that it could all be taken away from you in an instant, and wanted to enjoy it for as long as you could without interruption.
“Excuse me, Miss Y/N?”
“Huh?” You stop and look down to find a small child standing in front of you suddenly. “What’s up, kid?”
The child holds out a stapled stack of papers. “Can you help me with my history homework?” he asks. “Mr. Scott said you’re really old, so you probably remember some of this stuff like it was yesterday–”
You curse Scott out under your breath. “Uh, sure, kid. Just give me five minutes, okay?”
“Okay!”
The boy goes to sit down on the couch where his feet don’t even touch the floor and you hurry to get to Professor Xavier’s office. You rap hard on the door, pushing it open before he has a second to let you in. Natasha is there already, her laptop sitting on his desk with a map open.
“Hello. You sent for me?” you ask, a strange feeling of anticipation creeping up the back of your neck.
“Yes, Natasha did actually,” Professor Xavier says. “How is Kitty doing?”
“Oh, uh…she’s fine,” you say as Natasha glances at you suspiciously. “You know she has a thing for theatrics.”
Professor Xavier chuckles.
You wait for one of them to explain why they’ve asked you here, annoyed that your time is being wasted when you have other things to do. You take a tiny breath to calm your impatience. It’s imperceptible to Natasha, but Professor Xavier notices right away. Nothing goes unmissed by him.
“Natasha wanted to tell you–” he starts.
“He found it!” Natasha interrupts, her excitement uncontainable.
“Found what?” you ask.
She spins around her laptop, showing you a Google Maps view of a house set on a plot of land that reminded you of a farm.
“It’s in Saint Petersburg, Russia,” Natasha rushes to explain, but you’ve been dropped into the middle of a conversation with no context. “I wanted to tell you sooner, but I didn’t know how, but the professor says if we leave in the next day or two, we can catch–”
“Hold on,” you stop her. “What are you talking about? What’s so special about this house?”
Natasha suddenly hesitates, anxiety radiating from her expression. You already know the answer.
“This is the key to the Red Room,” Professor Xavier says.
You grind your teeth together. You had talked to him privately about this and he had clearly gone against your wishes.
I thought we had a deal, Chuck, your voice snarls in your head.
Let me explain, Y/N, Professor Xavier’s voice echoes back through his telepathy.
Good, because I’m not going anywhere until you do. You cross your arms over your chest to show him you’re standing your ground.
Natasha looks back and forth at the two of you in bewilderment, obviously engaged in some kind of mental argument she wasn’t privy to.
“Do you mind giving us a minute alone, Natasha?” Professor Xavier says out loud.
“Oh, uh, okay.” Natasha picks up her laptop and walks towards the door. She reaches out and brushes your arm, but you don’t even look at her, all of your focus now on the professor. Even though Natasha closed the door, you can hear her footsteps just behind the wall and worry that she’ll eavesdrop. But it doesn’t really matter if she does; if anything it’ll save you a conversation later.
“I told you not to indulge her with that Red Room shit,” you snap at the professor.
“She came to me,” he responds, with a frustrating amount of calmness.
“And I told you to give her the go-around.” As perfect as Natasha was, and as much as you loved her, this had been a growing point of contention in your relationship. You had voiced your displeasure with her obsession with the Red Room before, but now she had taken it too far.
“Does she not deserve peace?”
“She’s happy here with me,” you argue, before it dawns on you. “...Isn’t she?”
Professor Xavier looks away from you.
“Shit,” you mumble, wondering how you could be so dense to miss the signs. Your anger melts into concern now. “What is she planning? To find this place and blow them up once and for all?”
The professor shrugs. “Close enough.”
“Well, you know why I don’t want her to do that. Right?” you ask him. You refuse to be the “bad guy” in all of this. You mean well for Natasha and want to keep her safe. Why did that make you the asshole here?
“You cannot hold her hostage here,” the professor says. He is so calm it actually makes you even more angry.
“Do not say that,” you warn. “I’m not holding her hostage. She can leave at any time she wants.”
“No, she can’t. Not while the Red Room is still hunting for her.”
“You don’t think I can protect her?” The blow to your ego is frighteningly painful.
“It’s not about whether or not you can protect her. You know she’s not comfortable relying on you twenty-four-seven to be her guardian angel,” Professor Xavier says.
You want to sink through the floor, hating that you aren’t good enough to protect the person you love. It was an ugly insecurity that reminded you of one of the lowest moments in your extended lifespan, and you have to clench your jaw and stare at the floor to hold yourself back from a more visceral reaction.
He senses your sudden sadness and says, “It’s nothing you can help, Y/N. You know she won’t truly be happy until they’re gone.”
“I know,” you whisper, hating the weight of the truth. In some ways, Natasha was just as stubborn as you were. So you couldn’t fault her for it, but it upset you to know that you still hadn’t done enough for her. Even after leaving your home, taking her cross country back to the school you had avoided for over a year, Natasha still wasn’t happy with your sacrifices.
“It’s not like that,” the professor says, hearing your thoughts.
“Sure feels that way,” you grumble.
“You need to talk to her.”
“She won’t listen to me.”
“Then why don’t you try listening to her?”
Your mouth sets in a hard line. You hate the self-righteous way Professor Xavier talks to you sometimes. “Okay, okay,” you dismiss, although not sure how much you’ll actually end up following his advice. Life would be a lot easier for you if you could read minds the way he could.
“Y/N–”
“We’re done. Someone needs help with their history homework.” You march out of his office before he can protest further. Natasha is still hovering by the door, where she had probably been soaking in every word of the conversation.
“Y/N–” she tries, reaching out for your arm again. You shake her off.
“I know you heard all that,” you snap, internally cringing at how she shrinks away from you. “I’ll deal with you later.”
***********************************************************************
You’re in an awful mood the rest of the day and Natasha actively avoids you. It’s how you expected to react so you’re not very concerned, until you don’t see her (or Ororo) at dinner. When you come out of the shower and Natasha is still not back in your room, you finally decide to take initiative to find her. Predictably, you trace her scent down the hall to Ororo’s room. You hear their whispers quiet as you approach the door, suddenly embarrassed to announce your presence.
You raise your fist to knock, when the door swings open. Ororo is standing there, glaring at you like a scorned mother. Natasha is sitting on her bed with crossed legs. You can sense her frustration with you, but she hides it well on her face.
“Uh…I was wondering where you were,” you start lamely.
“Are you ready to talk now?” Natasha asks, surprising you with her boldness.
“Sure.” You wonder if she’s going to move the conversation somewhere private or have it right in front of Ororo. But something tells you she expected you to come find her here. It made you happy that she viewed Storm as a safe space and someone she could confide in–even if it was about something you did to upset her. “Uh, what did you want to talk to me about earlier?”
“Are you going to listen this time? Because I’ve been trying to bring it up to you for weeks, and you always push me away,” Natasha accuses. It takes you back how upfront she is with you. What had Ororo said to give her the confidence to talk to you this way?
“Yes, I’m listening.” You feel strangely vulnerable with hers and Ororo’s judgmental eyes on you. “I…” You take a deep breath, not sure why this is so painful for you to say. “I’m sorry if I came across as not caring or being dismissive about you.”
“You know how important this is to me, don’t you?” Natasha asks, her voice quiet and quivering.
“Yes, I do,” you say.
“I can’t be mad at you for being upset,” she admits. “You have everything you could ask for here. And I almost do, too. But you’re free, Y/N, through and through. I’m not. Even if I have your protection, or Storm’s, or the professor’s, or everyone else’s. It would never be enough.”
Your heart pangs painfully to hear this confession from her mouth.
“It’s not a personal attack on you, Y/N,” Ororo says, reaching out and patting your shoulder.
“I know,” you lie. “But what’s so special about that house the professor showed you?”
“He said that’s how we find the Red Room,” Natasha says, making direct eye contact with you and you feel like you’re going to wither away under her gaze.
“Is the Red Room that house?” you ask, wondering why the answer had been so obviously sitting in front of you all this whole time.
“We’re not totally sure, but he said that’s where we–I–need to start if I want to find it.” You don’t miss the way she initially includes you in her statement. Whether or not she wants you with her, and whether or not you truly believe in this mission of hers like she does, you aren’t going to let her tackle this alone.
“And what are you going to do once you find the Red Room?” you ask.
“Free the rest of the Widows and Wolf Spiders,” Natasha says. “And kill Dreykov.”
You assume this “Dreykov” person is the one in charge of the Red Room. You would have to look into his profile, but you already knew he was not someone to be toyed with. He had an army of extremely well-trained agents, and although you had managed to thwart his attempts at capture multiple times, he seemed to learn with each experience and there was the frightening possibility he could eventually find a way to overpower all of your defenses and kill Natasha and yourself.
“You’re going to kill Dreykov?” you ask. It’s a strange thought that Natasha, this shy and wholesome young woman whom you are completely taken with, has it in her to take a life. She probably has before–you’ve never exactly asked–but you know the innocence that is lost is something that will never come back. If Natasha’s crossed that bridge before, you have no right to stop her again, but if she hasn’t, you want to make sure this isn’t something she’ll regret.
“Yes.” Natasha doesn’t even blink as she stares you down. You admire her tenacity, her stubbornness, her commitment, even if you do think it’s a bit misguided. “I know you don’t want me to go after him,” she starts, “But I’m not going to hide and be scared of him forever.”
“You shouldn’t have to, darling–” you say, but she keeps going.
“You’re all still on his radar and if anything happened to you, or Storm, or the professor, or the kids here because of me…” She trails off and you stay silent.
“I’m not going to ask you to come with me. You’ve given enough sacrifices for me.” Natasha takes a deep breath and you hear her heartbeat quicken. “I have to do this, Y/N,” she says softly. “For me, for the ones he still has in his control, and the ones he’s trying to get to next.”
You know what that was like–vaguely. At some point during your lengthy lifespan, you had been held against your will by a shady government program who experimented on you like a guinea pig. You remember the fear and hatred you had for the staff, and the helplessness that prevented you from acting out for years. Although you eventually ended up escaping yourself and helping a few of the other unfortunate souls escape in the process, sometimes you wished it had been someone else who had been your savior. If Natasha was trying to be that for the people under Dreykov’s control, you wouldn’t stop her.
“Okay,” you finally say, and you see the shadow of defeat in Natasha’s eyes. She thinks you’re going to let her walk away without a fight. But you won’t. You’ll be there alongside her the whole way. “When do we leave?”
Her face brightens in disbelief now.
Ororo grins triumphantly.
***********************************************************************
You hitch the strap of your backpack higher up your shoulder. Natasha had been both shocked and awed at your ability to pack for an entire week in a single bag. She, on the other hand, was bringing two luggages and a backpack.
“Hold on, Nat, your bag is open–” you say as she spins around, looking for which pocket you’ve pointed out.
“Y/N? Miss Nat?” a voice startles you. “Where are you two going? Is it true you’re leaving again?”
You turn slowly to see Marie glaring at you with her arms crossed over her chest. “Uh…yeah,” you respond. Natasha looks away, hiding her guilty expression. “We have some things we need to take care of. But we’ll be back as soon as we’re done,” you explain.
“I don’t want you to leave,” Marie pouts.
“I know.” You wish there had been more time to properly warn the kids about your unexpected leave. But, it was usually better this way. “We’ll be back soon, though.”
“Will you?” she presses. You know your concept of time is much different from others’. A whole year could sometimes just feel like a long hour.
“Yes,” you assure, thinking for a moment. You reach up to your neck and unclip the set of dog tags you have on. You lift Marie’s gloved hand and gently pool the chain in her palm. “Because I’ll be back for this,” you say. “So don’t lose them.”
“I won’t.” Marie looks at Natasha. “Please take care of her for us, Miss Nat.”
“Of course.” Natasha pats your shoulder affectionately while you roll your eyes. “I’ll bring her back before you can miss her.”
***********************************************************************
It’s hard to be away from the safety of the mansion for the first time in a long time. Ororo volunteered to fly the Blackbird (since the professor didn’t trust you to take it alone) and it was nice to have her company for the long flight to Russia. But she was only planning on dropping you two off to do your investigation–it might look too suspicious if a group of X-Men were waiting out for Dreykov and his Widows.
Natasha bounces in her seat excitedly as the Blackbird takes a dive through the clouds. You’re more anxious than excited, not really sure what to expect. The house had looked basic enough, but knowing of its connection to the feared Red Room widened the hole in your stomach.
“Call me if you need anything,” Ororo says as she lowers the ramp for the two of you to run down.
“Thanks, Ro!” you call, hurrying to keep up with Natasha, who is already on the ground, fighting to stay upright against the winds from the jet. You jump out, the soft grass sponging under your boots. Judging from the smells–or lack of them–this place has been abandoned for a long time. Still, you’re not racing to make entry, and you have to remind Natasha to slow down as she speeds towards the house. There could be some kind of trap set up and you aren’t blinded with excitement and curiosity like Natasha is.
“Nat! Slow down!” you yell, almost jogging to keep up with her as she reaches the front door.
“It’s unlocked!” she responds, pushing it open and disappearing inside.
“Well don’t go in–” But your words go unheeded. “Nat!” you grumble, your heart skipping a beat as you rush after her. Your footsteps are heavy on the front porch as you burst through the door, looking around wildly.
The house is furnished as if someone had just stepped out with plans on returning, but never did. Paintings hang crookedly on the walls, a shelf full of used books collecting dust. A single window has been cracked open, the curtains around it filthy as they flutter with the wind. Despite the size of the house, you can sense that it was only ever occupied by a single person at a time, her scent well-faded, but there is a very faint note of familiarity that you swear you’ve smelled before. But before you can investigate further, you hear movement from another room and remember you need to find Natasha.
“Nat, where are–” You freeze when you see her standing alone in the kitchen, staring at a framed photo on the table. “Is this a trap?” you ask, holding your breath and clenching your fists.
“My mother lived here,” Natasha whispers, reaching out to brush her fingers on the frame before taking it in her hand.
“Huh?” you ask, sensing the wave of emotion in her voice.
“This…is my family.” She picks up the picture frame with reverence, looking at it with shimmering eyes. You approach her slowly, looking over her shoulder at the picture. There’s four people: a large, bearded man, his arm wrapped around a beautiful dark-haired woman, and two children, the oldest probably not even in her teens, with blue streaks in her hair while the smaller one was blonde with chubby cheeks. You can tell immediately that Natasha is the child with blue hair, her eyes reflecting the same playful energy you still see in them today.
“Nat,” you say, reaching out to put your hand on her arm.
“I think my mother lived here,” she says, looking around the kitchen fondly. “I don’t know about my father…and I don’t know about Yelena.”
“Yelena?”
“My sister.” She taps on the blonde girl in the photo. “We’re not…a real family, I guess you could say. The Red Room put us all together for an undercover assignment, but we all ended up loving each other like a real family. It was the most normal three years of my life.” She pauses, clearly lost in her thoughts. You’re not really sure what to say, having not expected this to turn into an emotional throwback for her.
“I’m not sure what happened to any of them. The Red Room recalled us from the assignment and I never saw any of them again.” Natasha’s voice hardens, as if she’s trying not to get emotional.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, knowing somewhat what it was like to have your loved ones torn away from you, never to be heard from again.
“But maybe my mom–Melina–retired here,” Natasha says, trying to be optimistic. “She might have still been working for the Red Room. The professor did say that this was some kind of gateway there.”
You don’t have the heart to tell her that no one’s been here for months, if not years. Whatever intel the professor had was outdated. The frustration that had been simmering in your gut spikes to a boiling point: the whole purpose of coming here had been for nothing. You would bet a year’s supply of beer and cigarettes that the professor had known this, but because he wanted to indulge Natasha, let you come out here with her and waste your time anyway.
You turn away from Natasha so she can’t see how angry you are. You’ll let her have this moment.
***********************************************************************
Since there isn’t anywhere to go but this house for miles, the two of you decide to set up camp. Natasha finds an old generator outside and jumpstarts it to provide electricity and tasks you with pumping gallons of water from the well. As you drag the last bucket inside, still muttering to yourself about what an awful idea this was, you find Natasha heating up some cans of soup you brought on the stove.
“I didn’t know if the soup would be enough for you, so I pulled some jerky out for you, too,” Natasha says, pointing to the crumpled bag on the table. Immediately, you soften at her thoughtfulness.
“Thanks, darling. I appreciate it.” You walk up to her from behind, wrapping your arms around her waist and kissing the sensitive spot below her ear. Natasha hums in content, pushing her butt back to rub against your front. “Maybe after dinner?” you propose. At least one benefit to being alone with Natasha in a secluded cabin was that you didn’t have to hide with her. In fact, you could take her right now on the counter if you wanted.
“After dinner,” she agrees, rubbing your forearm.
We are all reunited today , for one amazing cost. And that is. The web of secrets. We are starved children. We need to be feed. That is all I have say🫡
~🌊
Thank you so much for your comment little wavey 🌊 Here's a small lil' taste of part II Webs of Fate for you guys. Let me know what you think. ❤️🕷️
In the dim light of the room, the world seems to fade away as you lie there with Miguel on top of you. You are under him, breathless, your fingers running through his hair. His body pins you down in a tender, electrifying way, and you can feel the rhythm of his heart beating against yours.
His fangs graze the curve of your neck lightly, eliciting a shiver that runs through you. In response, he nuzzles into you, his breath warm against your skin.
"Ever think about what we're doing?" he asks in a whisper that vibrates against your neck.
"Constantly," you respond, your fingers tracing the curve of his broad shoulders, "but I don’t regret it, not a moment.”
He lifts his head, his red orbs searching yours. “Neither do I,” he says, his voice barely more than a whisper. His hand reaches up to trace the contour of your face.
"You know," you whisper, your hands continuing caressing his back, "I always wondered what it was like in your universe, in your time."
He shifts a little, propping himself up on one elbow as he looks down at you. His eyes, usually as unreadable, now seem to crack open; emotions swirl within them like stars.
"It was great, you know," his voice is gentle, each word enveloping you. "No, more than that – it was perfect," he corrects himself. His eyes never leave yours as he continues, "I had my Gabriella. Ah, you would have adored her." His voice softens to a mere whisper as if speaking her name too loudly might shatter the memory. "She was this incredible burst of life just like you. My own little sunshine. I didn’t know my heart could hold so much until she came into my life."
"The way she would throw her head back and laugh, it was like music. Her tiny hands – so soft and gentle. I remember how one of them always found mine, and the world felt... right." He continued, "I was never alone, never empty." He swallows hard, as if trying to keep the flood of emotions from washing over him.
You cup his cheek gently, smiling up at him. "You don't have to be alone, you know?"
He lets out a dry chuckle. “Sometimes it feels like there's no other option. It’s my fate."
“What scares you the most, Miguel?” you suddenly ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
He hesitates. “To lose myself… to forget what it means to care for someone,” he finally confesses.
“You won’t,” you assure him, your thumb stroking his cheek. “Not if you don’t let yourself.”
“¿y tú?” His voice is husky. “What’s your biggest fear?”
“To be forgotten,” you whisper.
He lowers himself and presses his forehead against yours. “Imposible,” he breathes. “You’re the sun. No one forgets the sun.” He pulls you closer, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, his arms tighten around you, pulling you closer until the world outside disappears.
Suddenly, his wrist console beeps, yanking him back to the present. "O’Hara, are you okay?" Lyla's voice echoes in the room, breaking the silence.
He blinks, his gaze focusing on the holographic screen displaying the mission details in front of him. "Yeah, Lyla," he responds, his voice a bit hoarse. "Just remembered something," he murmurs, and refocuses on the screen before him.
Takami Keigo: 5 Red flags vs 5 Green flags
Characters: Takami Keigo (Hawks).
Mi first lenguage is not English btw
Part 2 with Bakugo?
First of all, a relationship with Keigo can go very well or very badly. His life requires a very specific type of person, although he is not one to judge people and prefers to be optimistic when it comes to anything, it must be admitted that a person who is a little more "egoistic" could not stand the schedules, the dangers and harms that come with the hero's work.
In any case, if you are a person who, although you have flaws that might seem out of place with the style of life that has been imposed on Keigo, but you are still a person who is willing to do better, fight and resist for the relationship, believe me that the he will put the same as you and more.
Probably at the beginning there will be many problems, Keigo is not a man used to his life not being just for him, and perhaps you are not used to living with someone like him, but part of a relationship is learning, step by step and with a lot of time, love can change things if you use it well.
Of course, like any person, he has his good things and bad things.
🟥 Red Flags:
• At first he's a very independent and close person: Being independent can be a very good thing and a good sign, but when it comes to Keigo, it is not the same. His independence is too big to be considered a good thing, he has grown up and lived his entire life believing that he is the one against the world and only he has the right to know what is going through his mind, so it wouldn't be the kind of boyfriend who is asking your approval or telling you about his day. But he knows that that is not right, so I firmly believe that he would correct it to the point of telling you his problems.
• He's sarcastic: Come on guys, you could see this coming from the second this hero appeared on the screen and started making the most annoyed faces a face can make. It's not like he does it in a bad way often, but when arguments start he would get on your nerves with his sarcastic comments, probably minimizing the problems or making you look wrong, even stupid in the worst cases.
• You are the priority, but if people need him, he will leave: This is a very extensive topic and contains many reasons. You are the most important thing in his life, if you leave he would be totally devastated and depressed than anyone else could be, but he simply cannot reject the call, if his phone vibrates and they tell him that they need him he will already be acting the hero suit. It's not that he wants to leave you, it's that he can't stay, it's that he has been educated to always leave.
• He is jealous: Normally it is not something that bothers you, it can even be something that the two of you later make fun of in private, but there are some times that if he seems to be intense about it, he is not attracted to the idea of you leave, that you change him or that you abandon him, so although he always tries to keep himself in line, there are few cases in which he goes too far, when he marks someone as his rival he will forever be "the disgusting guy who wants with you", and he could say offensive things about him, start fights so that you stay away from him and even demonstrate his jealousy without any type of shame.
• "Is not that deep": I don't know why, but I'm very sure that Keigo would say this MANY times, like you may have told him that it's something that bothers you, or something that hurt you, or you're just telling him a story, and he responds with the damn "is not that deep." Partly it's because like I said before he won't tell you something just because it happened to him, so he doesn't understand why you're open about it.
OKAY BUT, he has hes beautiful Green Flags and all that, SO let's goOoOooOOoOOOoo
🟩 Green Flags
• He drives you to achieve and fulfill your own goals: He would be a man who not only asks, he also offers, he would never ask you to support him in his goal of a better and more relaxed world for those who are heroes without first supporting you in any goal that you have worn. You need money? He can give it to you, do you need to improve yourself? Ok, here he is to support you, do you just feel tired of trying? Well he will give you a reason to do it again.
• "Let's see each other even if it's just for 5 minutes?": He leads a busy life but he takes you into account in every second of it, it's true that it's hard for him to tell you about it, it's hard for him to open up, but he loves seeing you, even if he doesn't express it correctly, he loves to be there for you even though he may not tell you that he thinks about it, he loves to give you time even if it means more fatigue for his body.
• Stop having attitudes that make you feel bad: Did you read all the previous red flags? WELL HAWKS TROLL YOU BECAUSE HE CHANGE WHAT YOU ASK HIM TO DO, GIRL!!!! He would make an effort because he doesn't take it lightly, it is difficult and takes a lot of time, but he keeps trying.
• "I saw this and I remembered you": I repeat, Keigo takes you into account every second, even if at first he can't express it correctly. But he is a bird, he will bring you any stuffed animal, bracelet, candy, necklace, clothing or toy that he finds in a store and has a detail as beautiful as you.
• Hella touchy: Bro, if you don't consider this a good thing I'm really sorry but what the hell are you doing reading something about Takami Keigo, Get the fuck out of here! He will never have one hand far from you in moments of rest and time as a couple. A simple hand on your thigh while the two of you are eating or while he is finishing work papers, a few light cuddles on your hair while he is falling asleep, a hand on your cheek before kissing you, a hand on your waist to hug you, and if i keep going, I don't finish the list.
girl in the mirror
a/n the song uses a male figure as the focus just ignore that :)
summary you and paige have another fight which leads to the end of your relationship
warnings some swearing and slightly suggestive content
pairing paige bueckers x reader
Based on the song 'Girl In the Mirror" by Megan Moroney
Part 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The girl in the mirror
She's lost her damn mind
She's gotten too used to
Cryin' all the time
I'm not sure how our relationship ended up where it is right now. Everything started off so well, dates every weekend and never wanting to be away from each other turned into rain checks and not even wanting to sleep next to one another. Here I was again crying alone in our shared apartment after yet another argument with my girlfriend.
He puts her down
She puts him pedestal high
The girl in the mirror
She's lost her damn mind
The night started off so well, Paige and I had finally found a day that worked for both of us to go out like we used to. I wore her favorite dress of mine and she had even got me a new necklace to accessorize with.
“Hey baby, im almost done I just need to put on some lipstick” I said looking at Paige who had just walked into the bathroom through the mirror. “ No rush, I just wanted to come give you something before we head out” she replied, grabbing my waist and turning me around to face her. I was met with those dazzling blue eyes and the smile that never fails to warm my heart, “what is it?” I asked her, smiling back and wrapping my arms around her neck. She pulls out a small black box and opens it revealing a gold necklace with a small plate that had the word ‘forever’ engraved in it with our anniversary on the back. I gasped immediately hugging her “Oh my gosh it's beautiful” I quickly let out, “glad you like it” she responded with a slight chuckle, “I love it” i said correcting her, “here let me put it on you”. I turned around so that she could get it on easier running my fingers over the engraving on the front. I gave her a peck on the lips and told her I'd be done in just a second and we could head out after that.
We arrive at the restaurant and get seated fairly quickly before being greeted by our waitress. She was pretty and wasn't wearing much makeup, from what could tell she also had an obvious liking towards Paige. “Hi my name is Morgan, i'll be taking care of you guys tonight, how are you guys doing” she asked smiling, but staring at my girlfriend we both said a quick good before starting to tell her what we wanted “I'll take the chicken alfredo'' I told her she grinned and wrote it down on the pad before turning to page with a smirk continuing to ask “And for you gorgeous?” . The comment caught me off guard, but the night was going so well, it wasn’t worth the headache of bringing it up. “Um I'll take the shrimp scampi,” Paige answered, unphased by the compliment. She told us that she would be back shortly with our orders once again making googly eyes at Paige. Of course with the popularity, I was used to other girls making comments about my girlfriend but none of them were ever made in front of me up until now and it made me feel uneasy, but nevertheless I still ignored bringing up the comment.
We got our food and made light conversation about school and Paige's excitement to finally be back on the court this season. After about an hour it was time for us to get our check and head back home, I stepped away to the bathroom. What I didn't see was our waitress Morgan take advantage of my absence and leave Paige a note with the check.
He just walked out and she's standing right here
She loves the boy more than she loves the girl in the mirror
The girl in the mirror used to know who she was
Now she's up wondering why she's not enough
When we got home Paige immediately pulled me into a heavy kiss and things started getting heated very fast, that's until the receipt from tonight's dinner fell out of her pocket with a phone number and “just in case you get bored” scribbled on the back of it. I didn't know what I was more shocked about, the fact that she had the balls to give that to someone who was clearly taken or the fact that my girlfriend had kept it. I grab the paper before Paige can even though she did try “What the fuck is this?” I asked with an angry feeling I'm starting to get to know too well. “It's nothing” she said defensively, “Really, because it looks like you were planning to take up up the offer to use this phone number for a booty call, I knew she was giving off bad vibes. I should've never left that table.” I shot back. “Chill out, I didn’t even notice it” she said, “Oh please save the lies Paige you and I both know that's not true. What were you going to wait for us to get in another fight and go fuck her while I'm at home crying my eyes out” I replied with my eyes getting watery “well it would be nice to have someone to fuck, we haven't had sex in weeks, all you do is find something new to be insecure about and then cry because I don't want to hear you nag in my ear. Gosh y/n you're so freaking annoying sometimes I swear” she shouted, grabbing her keys and walking out the front door slamming it shut. Is that really what she thought of me, was I just a placeholder until she found someone else just so she wasn't alone. I stood there for a second taking in what just happened and then decided to go get ready for bed, i wasn't going to spend my night crying even though it's all I really wanted to do.
She's wearing the dress that I wore out tonight
I'm the girl in the mirror, that's why
She looks just like me but I don't recognize her
She's got the same eyes but they're heavy and tired
I walk into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror trying to take in the person I've become. I constantly look tired from the lack of sleep, I’m breaking out from the stress of fighting so much , I don't think I can take it anymore.I don't even recognize myself anymore. I used to be so happy and vibrant, now you can see the light in my eyes slowly dimming. I didn’t see what my friends were talking about until now. I'm fighting for a relationship that only one of us wants and it's becoming clear that I love Paige more than she loves me and honestly more than I love myself.
Why it didn't work, well, it's perfectly clear
That reflection was enough for me to realize that I can't do this anymore. I can't stay here wondering if she's okay all night and then have her crawl into our bed in the early hours of the morning and act like nothing happened until we get into another argument. I need to put myself first. So here I was packing a bag to go stay with my best friend for a while until I can find a new place to live and start over. I need this, we both do. We're turning into the worst versions of ourselves and as much as this hurts it's a must if either of us ever want to be happy again. I finish grabbing my last bit of stuff from the bathroom and look up in the mirror one more time catching a glimpse of the necklace she gave me tonight. It's ironic that the night she said we'd be forever turned out to be our last. I took it off closing the clamp and went to sit it on the nightstand by her side of the bed. Finally with that I'm off to start a new chapter of my life, I grab my keys walking out of what's now just her apartment, i’ll come back to get the rest of my belongings, but this was needed, I'm making the right choice for both of us.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! - YOUR COMMENTS & REBLOGS HELP ME WRITE!
Arthur met (Y/N) when he moved out to the country.
**Linda's not present in this story, but he'd still move out there after the events between seasons 3 and 4 finished. **
Ada - with the help of Polly - would have a big hand in prompting this move. They both know that Arthur could be better, and that what he surely needed was to be away from the smoke of Small Heath. And they were correct.
It didn't take long for them to meet.
(Y/N)'s house was the next one over - down the street that is - and she met Arthur when she opened her front door to find him one day.
Arthur had met her father prior. He already had an established farm, and that's something Arthur's hoping he could create for himself now that he's got this land. So (Y/N)'s father had told him to come over and that he'd show him around in hopes that some inspiration would strike Arthur.
(Y/N) still lives at home with her parents. She's got a job within their community - running the farmer's market that all of the local farmers bring their goods to (her father included) ... it's just easier for her to stay at home, and her parents are quite happy that she chooses to as she's an only child. They like to keep the family close.
So back to Arthur meeting her at the door. Knowing how Arthur is, I'm sure you could picture how he reacted when he came face fo face with this beautiful woman instead of the older man he'd met earlier in the week. Yeah, he suddenly doesn't know how to form a complete sentence.
(Y/N) finds it adorable. And she goes to get her father when Arthur finally manages to get out what it is that he's there for.
She makes sure to ask her father about him once he leaves, too. Like she pretty much plays twenty questions with him. Her father obliges and answers what she asks...and he's got that look in his eye too - like he has an inkling of an idea as to why she's asking all the questions. (Y/N)'s too oblivious to catch it.
The next place Arthur finds (Y/N) is at the farmer's market. He's getting some things that he needs and she, of course, checks him out (in more ways then one, if we're being honest).
He's actually able to strike up conversation with her this time around - asking her about the market and how long she'd been working there. And she happily shares answers with him. He ends the conversation with "well if it all goes right, you'll be selling my things here too."
To which (Y/N) responds with "if you're following my father's advice, you'll be growing things in no time."
She leaves him with a sweet smile and then kicks herself once he exits the market. Since when have I ever been so giddy over a man?, she thinks to herself.
Little does (Y/N) know that Ida, one of the older women in the community, watched the entire interaction with a knowing look...she can read these two like an open book.
And it just so happens that Ida's one of the women in the village that loves to gossip.
The first person in Arthur and (Y/N)'s circle that this gossip gets to is (Y/N)'s father...yeah, probably the worst person it could have reached. He overhears it when he's at one of his fellow farmer's home. The fellow farmer's wife decided to bring it up as a topic of conversation, surprising (Y/N)'s father.
He doesn't even wait to speak to Arthur about it. It's during one of the evenings where the two men are meeting, because Arthur's still getting a handle on the whole farming thing, that the older man decides to bring it up. He comes right out with it, too - "whatever your intentions with my daughter are, you'd better be an honest man about it."
Arthur's surprised, to say the least. But he doesn't deny the interest he has in (Y/N). He puts on a serious face and nods, saying "I will, sir." (Y/N)'s father nods in response.
So the next time Arthur sees (Y/N), which happens to be when she answers the door to find him on her family's front stoop - again, Arthur asks her to dinner.
And that's the start of a lovely relationship.
He's careful with who he tells. He wants to leave his life in Small Heath out of it for the most part. Sure, in some ways that's doing a disservice to (Y/N), but this new start has been good for Arthur.
He tells John and Ada, who are both incredibly happy for him. Finn just kind of finds out one day when he's visiting his eldest brother, and he's got nothing bad to say about it. He'd tell Tommy too...if Tommy wasn't so hard to reach. Polly is also hard to reach during this time, but he does mention it to her.
They're truly inseparable from the start. (Y/N) feels bashful at the fact that she practically lives at Arthur's home now, but Arthur repeatedly tells her that he's so incredibly happy that she's staying with him.
It's during these months that he's the happiest he's ever been. His little farm is flourishing (thanks to the help from the farmer's daughter and her knowledge), and he's sure that he's now with the love of his life.
The move that he was initially feeling uncertain about has turned out to be one of the best decisions he's ever made.
About three or four of these blissful months pass before Arthur's meeting with (Y/N)'s father again. This time, however, he's got a question that doesn't involve farming.
He wants to ask him for his daughter's hand in marriage.
He does everything in proper fashion too - sits down with him, professes how (Y/N) makes him feel and even shows the ring that he'd picked out a few weeks back.
(Y/N)'s father essentially has to agree to Arthur's questions twice because the latter doesn't hear him the first time. He's too busy going through the speech he'd prepared to take into account that her father could answer before he finished it.
And when he does hear his answer, he's immediately relieved.
He wastes no time in asking her. In fact, he does it that evening while they're enjoying some time out on the grounds of his property. Of course she says yes!
News of the engagement spreads like wildfire throughout the village. Some think it's way too early for that step, but others - particularly those who have known (Y/N) and her family for some time - think it's perfect.
(Y/N)'s so excited to plan their wedding, and Arthur's eager to allow her to have anything she wants as part of their big day.
She pours every ounce of herself into the planning and preparations over the next few months.
All of the excitement, however, comes to a screeching halt near Christmas of 1925, when a Black Hand comes in the mail.
To be clear, by this point Arthur's told (Y/N) about what sort of business he was involved in prior to moving out of Small Heath. He felt that if he was going to truly be with her, she deserved to know every part of him.
Sure (Y/N)'s not exactly enthused to learn of the types of things he'd done in the past, but anyone was easily able to see that he was making a good faith effort to separate and distance himself from every part of that lifestyle - besides keeping in touch with his family, of course.
When it's decided that the Shelby's would move back to Small Heath to face the vendetta head on, Arthur insists that (Y/N) stays back in the village. He hopes that the Italians don't know much more about his life there than the address of his home.
There's some hesitance from (Y/N), but she ultimately agrees and moves back with her parents as Arthur heads to Small Heath.
The distance is tough for the two of them. They've essentially gone from being each other's everything every day for the past year to not having any contact whatsoever.
And so while hell's happening in Small Heath, (Y/N)'s living a normal life back home. Things go on like this for some time too...until one day things change.
The - for lack of better terms - hit gets put out after Arthur kills the two men in the basement of the factory.
Two strange men were hanging around the farmer's market for the entirety of (Y/N)'s shift. She feels something uneasy about them, but tries to shake it off and focus on helping customers and whatnot.
They bring her to a stop on her walk home and force her to get into their car, driving off without a word.
(Y/N) decides to stay quiet and remains relatively calm. She doesn't know what these men want, and hopes that if she's compliant with them, they'll let her go.
Unfortunately things don't pan out that way.
The drive feels like it goes on forever, and it's dark by the time they make it to their destination. Because of this - and the fact that the men were forcibly dragging her to the doors - (Y/N)'s unable to catch any defining markers of where she now is.
She's dragged into a dark room, where the only piece of furniture is a wooden chair. Nothing is said as she's shoved into the chair and the men begin tying her to it. "What do you want from me?" she finally asks.
One of the men smirks, glancing at his counterpart before responding, "I'd get comfortable, sweetheart, you might be here awhile."
With that the two leave her tied to the chair, nodding to the man that she now notices is sitting by the door of the room.
A decent chunk of time passes - (Y/N)'s not sure how much because there's nothing that could tell her - before the door opens again.
A different man walks in this time. He's wearing a nicely tailored suit, a fedora, and as he comes to a stop in front of her, (Y/N) can see that he's chewing on the end of a matchstick. A wicked grin spreads across his lips as he gets a good look at her.
"Who are you?" she asks, trying to keep her voice steady.
"You don't know me, sweetheart, but I know all about you," the man answers, "and your family."
This confuses her even more. "What do you mean?"
The man responds quickly, "Your husband killed my father. I want to know where he is."
"I don't...I don't know where he is," she says while trying to hide the fact that her heart is beating out of her chest.
The man just laughs at her statement. "See I don't believe that."
"It's true," she quickly responds, the desperation in her voice not helping her.
The man shakes his head, a wicked smirk forming as he looks her over. "Let me put this as simply as possible: you have twenty-four hours to give Arthur Shelby to me, or it'll be you who dies next. Understood?" (Y/N) doesn't answer. He gets really close to her as a look of annoyance spreads across his face. "I said: do you understand me?" The cologne he wears is almost too much for her to bear. Her face wrinkles together for a moment, hoping if she holds her breath, he'll just leave. But he doesn't.
So she opens her eyes and locks them onto his. "I do," she finally answers, her voice steady despite the fear that's coursing through her.
"Good," the man smirks, finally stepping away from her. "You'll tell him when you're ready," he states, motioning to the man who'd been watching her since she was placed in the room. "I'd do it sooner than later, sweetheart," he suggests, laughing to himself as he exits the room.
(Y/N)'s left with a startling decision now. She truly doesn't know what to do, or if there's even a way out of this.
Back home, people are talking. (Y/N)'s absence isn't hard to miss. At first it's thought that maybe she's gone out for the day, but worries skyrocket when she hasn't returned by the evening.
Her parents waste no time in contacting Arthur, even though it might not be the best move.
(Y/N) told them of the way she was instructed to get any urgent information to Small Heath - by calling the factory they owned and placing a message.
When Arthur receives this message the next time he's at the factory, he immediately knows something's wrong with her. There wouldn't be any other reason why (Y/N)'s parents would be the ones sending out the call.
They manage to send one of Aberama's men out to gain more details, and what information is brought back to Small Heath instantly makes Arthur's blood run cold. His fiancée was in danger. Everything else could wait...what needed to happen next was they needed to find where she was being held.
— ••• —
(Y/N) doesn't give any information to the man appointed to watch over her. She wasn't going to give her fiancé up. She holds onto hope that something'll happen before her time is up.
The man sitting by the door keeps a steady watch on her. (Y/N)'s surprised that he hasn't nodded off to sleep yet, as he hadn't been switched out for anyone else.
It all happens so suddenly. One moment, the man was turning his head to investigate a scraping noise that he heard just outside the doorway. The next, there's a man with what (Y/N) makes out to be shoulder-length hair peeking out from under a fedora pressing a gun to the seated man's temple.
The breath gets stuck in (Y/N)'s throat, but she doesn't panic.
"You speak and it'll be the last thing you ever do," the gun wielding man threatens the seated man. As expected, silence follows. "She's in here," the man then proclaims, making more footsteps sound in the corridor.
The voice that comes next has sobs of relief leaving (Y/N)'s mouth. "(Y/N)," Arthur calls as he rushes to where she's tied up. "(Y/N), love, I'm here."
"I...I didn't know what to...I didn't tell them anything," she stumbles over her words as Arthur works quickly on untying her from the chair. The second her hands are released, she falls into his arms.
"I've got you now. You're ok, you're safe," he whispers into her hair as she clings to him.
"What do I do with him, boss?" the man, who's still pressing a gun into one of her captors' temple, asks.
"Dispose of 'em," a second man responds. A slight struggle ensues, but (Y/N) doesn't move to see what happens. She stays put in Arthur's arms.
Time passes and the couple stays put. Arthur's thanking every god he knows of for keeping (Y/N) safe. (Y/N)'s still trying to get a hold of her emotions. Keeping them bottled up for this long while she was tied up is catching up with her.
"I didn't know if you'd come or not," she finally says some time later.
"I'll always come," he assures her, his voice gravelly as his emotions catch up with him. "When the day's done, I've got you, darlin'."
His comforting words made her finally lift her head from his chest. Her teary eyes found his and she couldn't help but smile. It felt like they'd been apart for years. Something quickly became apparent to her as she took in his appearance.
"Arthur..." she paused, letting out a mixture of a laugh and a sniffle, "your hair." What was all one length and longer was now shaved short on the sides but kept long on the top. She just had to reach out to feel it, wanting to confirm that it was actually real.
Arthur's brows furrow in confusion for a moment before he realizes what she's talking about. He can't help but chuckle as he feels her fingers run through his hair. "I cut it. Hope you don't mind, love."
"I don't," (Y/N) answers, shaking her head. "I love it."
Thank you for making it through…whatever this was. I appreicate you sticking with it. I’m not sure how many more fics I’ll write in this format but I will say that it really helped me get an idea I was originally struggling with out.
Monster!König x reader One shot(?)
A/n: I've always liked the one where König has hidden tentacles that sneak out from under his hood, but I've seen art and ideas where he can just make more tentacles appear from all over?? So this one is going to be (for now) just tentacles from under the hood. And I still don't know if it's called one shots or head cannons but you'll see it down below. Please leave a comment to correct me
Warnings: fishing hook injury, tentacles.
M!König: Who lives in a deep, vast lake across the highway from what he assumed was a hospital. The equipment and medicines used there smelled the same but it didn't bother him. So long as they didn't pollute in his lake, he wasn't bothered by them.
M!König: Who one day was trying to eat a fish he caught until his tentacles snagged itself deep on a fishing hook that he didn't see. It wasn't the first time he's had fish hooks tangle in his tentacles but this time he feared he couldn't get it out, alone.
M!König: Who begrudgingly decided he would pretend to be human and go to the hospital across the highway. As said before, he's dealt with a hook before, but this one hurt, a lot. Almost as bad as the time he got shot by hunters. Maybe that was being dramatic though.
M!König: Who put on some fisherman clothes he stole a long time ago, his hood, and tucked his tentacles away enough to look human. When he walked inside, he noticed everyone had a dog with them. Weird. It sent his insticts off, reminding him of hunting dogs. Some of them growled lowly at him, but they were all different sizes and breeds. He could easily take them.
M!König: Who didn't get too many weird looks. He marched up to the counter and demanded a doctor. The desk worker looked confused, and intimidated, he thought. When she asked if he wanted to make an appointment, he shook his head and stated he needed help now.
M!König: Who was getting frustrated when she started asking about any pets he had. She sensed his frustrations so she called a 'doctor' over to speak with him. That's when you appeared. You had gentle eyes, and a softer voice, but at the moment he couldn't care less. You walked him into a separate room and asked what was the problem.
M!König: Who explained he had a fish hook stuck in his face, (kind of) and he needed it removed. That's when you explained that this was not a hospital, it was the vet; a place where people bring their sick animals/pets. He was quiet for a moment and thought, it's close enough, right? When you asked to see it anyways, he happily showed you.
M!König: Who, when he showed you, watched your eyes widen. His tentacles unravel themselves to show you where the hook was. You were a little pale, he noticed. You had stepped closer and asked if it were alright to touch his... tentacles? He wasn't stupid, he knew this was not ordinary for humans but he allowed you.
M!König: Who felt your gloved fingers gently move aside his tentacles. Some unconsciously wrapped around your fingers and he apologized softly for that. You announced that, you could numb the area and pry the hook out, but it will need time to heal. He wanted it removed immediately so he agreed with your diagnosis. It didn't take long until you were able to pull the hook out with a proud smile. König felt immediate relief and he thanked you.
M!König: Asked what he must do to repay you, but you shook your head and explained that this was a 'special case' and you were happy to help. When you asked what he was, stating that clearly he wasn't human, he responded with, "König." You gave him your name as well and you didn't ask any more questions. So he left, but he knew he must repay you somehow.
Ok, my wishes for medical leak au. I would like meetings between the Marquez brothers and the academy, or with the rest of the grid. Mainly because Alex would not leave Marc alone and the rest of the grid would try to show their support. But I think the situations would be very uncomfortable or funny. It would be some super uncomfortable driver wanting to do the right thing in front of a visibly uncomfortable Marc and maybe a super serious Alex behind his brother. It is clear that the brothers have kept to themselves and have very little relationship with the rest, so now suddenly the rest want to start a relationship or show support when they didn't before? Hello? Marc's accident and operations that could have left him out of the bikes and nobody went to visit him except Fabio (correct me if I'm wrong) Alex would be at least suspicious of the intentions of everything and everyone like a guard dog. And I think Marc would be like being the Marc of the cameras, pretending that everything is fine and that he is playing along so that they go away. Maybe there will be a situation where Dovi is also there, who would be a little comic relief but not helpful because he would be laughing at the strange interactions. And maybe Lorenzo too? (I don't know him very well but I think his personality is also that of a little bastard) And Dani maybe being the conciliator and encouraging the interactions to go well like a father who wants his children to make friends (again I don't know him very well but from what I see from the comments he is a very calm person, which I'm not saying he was while racing, but now he seems to be). And with Valentino, I don't know, I think I want him to have another interaction with Marc that goes badly because he follows him without taking him as seriously as he should and maybe one of the old ones tells him what the hell is wrong with him and that he should reconsider and mature. And a lot of other things that make him reflect.
I took so so long to respond to this I'm so sorry!!!
Adore!!! I love it. I fucking love the idea of marc having way more grid support than he thinks. He's all like I'm a lone wolf, but actually, half the grid are very endeared by his war crimes and stupid little celebrations. Especially after all this comes out, people are like wow, how the fuck are you still here and thriving like wow.
Now, if I could draw, I would do a beautiful picture of Alex being a guard dog behind a completely oblivious marc, and it would be hilarious. So if any artists wanna do that. Be my guest. But yeah, I love that so much.
Also, the protection squad is there!! Dovi is just giggling at how serious everyone is being. Marc is so done with their shit. The rest of the grid is like what is happening cause marc is surrounded at all times and protected.
Ugh I love it! Your brain is fab.
Another interaction going bad is happening next chapter! Then a Redemption arc to end all Redemption arcs cause lord knows he needs it. There will be plenty of self reflection from him too!!!
Brilliant ideas thank you!!!!
#rosquez#marc marquez#motogp#motogp rpf#medical leak au#amazing#your brain is so good#guys you are all the best#fr#the protection squad is clearly popular and i love that
Giselle Pt. 3
Summary: A sneak peek of Giselle from The Red Door series showcasing her many powers.
Author's Note: Hi guysssss! I’m back with an update! Your girl Giselle is backkkk! I hope you missed her! I sure did! I hope you all enjoy her reckless adventures! Again, as a reminder This character is from “The Red Door” but is NOT tied in with the story whatsoever. Hope that makes sense! I love y’all always!!! Enjoy enjoy enjoy!!! Don’t forget to please leave a comment for ya girl! I LIVE for the commentary!
She was intentional, precise, and calculated. She was utterly determined to be Ambrose’s undoing. She was willing and ready to watch him unravel at the seam. She was a master of talents but she was never too proud to be a student. She studied him relentlessly learning everything that she could possibly know about him. She gained knowledge of his connections, his inner circle, and his schedules. She was a woman totally obsessed. She sought him in the same way that a thief seeks riches. And here he was, standing on the balcony alone quietly admiring the stars. It was almost as if it was destined. Ambrose was never alone. His henchmen continuously guarded him.
Giselle took a deep breath as she approached him. It was now or never. The impossible will be done tonight. His demise will be caused by her hand and the thought alone gave her goosebumps. She presented herself as a woman of the night. She just needed to appease him and more importantly, get close to him.
With a drink resting in her left hand and handcuffs resting in her right, she smiled flirtatiously before she spoke.
“I was sent for you Sir,” she said lightly.
Still, Ambrose’s back was turned. He didn’t move an inch.
“I sent for no one,” he responded sternly.
“But you did,” she lied.
“Look,” he stated, frustrated.
Abruptly he turned away from the stars and faced her. She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. He froze at the sight of her. Slowly, she twirled and flaunted her assets confidently. His eyes trailed her body unapologetically and needless to say he was pleased at the view. He had her undivided attention. Gradually she approached him and placed the drink in his hand.
“Drink,” she commanded.
Easily, he complied. Giselle rubbed her hand up and down his chest as she stared him lovingly in the eye. His hand caressed her lower back as he watched her playfully place the handcuff around his wrist and hers.
“We’re tethered,” she whispered against his skin.
She could feel him relaxing under his touch. She placed small kisses along his chest and neck as she palmed his manhood. Giselle sensed his arousal and his adoration.
“Fuck me,” she whispered in his ear.
“And fuck me, like you mean it,” she demanded.
Quickly Ambrose sprinted into action. Aggressively, he sat her on the railing and ripped off his suit jacket. He was ravenous. He wrapped his hand around her neck as he slowly sank into her. Curses left his lips as spells left hers. His thrusts started slow almost as if he was trying to make love. He was filled with so much adoration - it felt almost as if he wanted to worship her and Giselle could feel it too. He was right in the palm of her hand. His grasp around her throat tightened as his strokes grew more rapid and passionate. He was losing himself in her and now was her chance.
Roughly, she moved his hand away from her neck and forcefully grabbed his face. She looked him in the eye affectionately as she stroked his face.
“I am bewildered,” he whispered, breathlessly.
“No,” she pressed her finger on his lips. “Bewitched,” she corrected.
She pulled him in closer and kissed him fervidly. She wrapped her hands around his neck as she moaned in his mouth. With each kiss, she quietly drew breath - his breath. She was silently attempting to pull his power out of him. Many men have died by her hand but he would be the first to die by her kiss.
Ambrose closed his eyes and basked in her. He felt like he was floating. He felt weightless and careless but he also felt something else. He felt as if something was pulling at him like ocean waves. It felt like he was drifting further and further away from himself. His brows furrowed with confusion.
“It’s okay. Stay with me,” Giselle whispered in between kisses.
He placed his palms over her hands and kissed her once more. Gently he tugged at her hands to remove them from his face. To his dismay, her hands didn’t budge. Quickly, he opened his eyes and grew angry. He ripped himself from her embrace. Violently, he grabbed her by the neck and dangled Giselle over the balcony.
“You thought me to be a fly in your web, didn’t you?” He screamed.
Giselle struggled underneath his grasp. She channeled the claws of a lioness and scratched him repeatedly in hopes of breaking free. He was injured but unphased. With disgust, he moved away from the balcony and tossed her to the side. He spared her.
No man has ever survived Giselle’s spells. She was astonished and frightened.
“What are you?” She questioned.
“Exactly who you thought I was. The most powerful being to ever live,” He answered.
“And you must be Giselle. I’ve heard of you. The vixen that steals the power of men,” he continued.
Giselle remained quiet.
“Why men?” He questioned.
“Why not men?” Giselle answered.
“Mhm,” Ambrose nodded. “I respect that,” he continued. “The real question is, what am I going to do with you,” he stated, with a sinister smile resting on his face.
“I’m not easy to kill,” Giselle stated, sternly.
“Oh, I know. You’re very cunning,” He replied.
Loudly Ambrose sighed and turned away from Giselle. He gazed at the stars once again. Before Ambrose could utter another word Giselle vanished. Again, he spared her.
“Oh Giselle, you can run but you can’t hide. We’re tethered you and I,” he whispered into the night. —------
An Odd Human (Vergil x Male reader)
Travelling around the world in order to get more power certainly makes his life more interesting. Whether it’s new sword-technique, new abilities, weapons or anything else, Vergil’s curiosity can never been ceased. Most of the time, however, since he’s living in the human world, there isn’t that much interesting stuff. Still, it’s not like he has a choice.
One day though, his view upon humanity changed just a bit. It all started when he arrived at a small town in the countryside. A farming village that is near a lake. With the spring sun, it’s not too cold or hot. Knowing he’s going to rest for the rest of the day, he walks in a B&B to get a room. Then he gets led to his room by a human called Y/N.
“Where’s your stuff?”
“I got all I need here.” Vergil responds.
“Mm, practical, I guess.” Y/N made some small talk, but nothing too major, which Vergil appreciates. Once they get to the next floor and to his room, Y/N watches how he’s looking around. “And?”
“It’s good enough.” Vergil responds. He looks back. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” Y/N then lays eyes upon the sword sheath. “You’re a swordsman?”
“Yes. I hope this-” He pats the sword sheath. “isn’t going to be a problem.”
“Normally, yes, but I let it slide. Just be careful to not flex that thing to the entire town. Anyway, enjoy your stay. I will be somewhere around if you need me.” With that, Y/N leaves, allowing Vergil to take time for himself.
-
Later that day, in the night, Vergil is in the outskirts of the town, training his sword technique. He does this everyday just to not get rusty. He doesn’t has a particular target, just swinging around with the correct stances. During the training, he notices a presence behind him. Swiftly, he turns around to put the sword to the targets next, just stopping before he could slice it. That’s when he sees Y/N, looking shocked.
“You shouldn’t sneak upon someone training with a weapon.” Vergil warns him, putting the blade away.
“Sorry.”
Vergil’s stoic face looks at the nervous man. “What is it that you want?”
“I was just curious.” Y/N sounds a bit better. “I never seen someone with your talent.” Vergil remains quiet, merely looking at him. That’s when the other man tries to think of something to talk about. Then he notices the sword. “You got a gorgeous sword. Katana, right?”
Vergil wanted to correct him that the sword isn’t any regular old katana, but he restrains himself. “Thank you for the complement.” There is another awkward silence between the two, making the swordman patient to tick. “Is there anything else you want to say?”
“Can I observe your technique?” Y/N requests. “There is something mesmerizing about how you move.”
Vergil thinks about it. He doesn’t have a particular reason why not to. “Sit on the side unless you want to be decapitated.”
“Thanks.”
And so, Vergil continues his training while the regular human is on the side, observing. The demon doesn’t really care for a couple of minutes, until a question bothers his mind.
“Do you do this to your other guests as well?”
“No. The other guest certainly doesn’t have any swords.” Y/N jokes, though Vergil doesn’t look amused, as he’s too focused on the training. “How long have been training?”
“My entire life.”
“That’s impressive.” Y/N complements him. “You must win gold every time you compete.”
“You could say that.” Vergil replies, though Y/N doesn’t know how to interpret his vague comment. Thus, Vergil stops and looks at Y/N. “I have someone that I want to defeat.”
“Really?”
“Yes. He’s, my brother.” Vergil coldly comments. He doesn’t really know why he’s telling this to a stranger, but it’s refreshing. “His skill rivals mine, and yet he doesn’t even care to take a second to hone it.”
“Is that why you’re travelling around?”
“Not specifically. I just want to be stronger in general.” Vergil comments. He wonders how a regular guy thinks about it. “What do you think about it?”
Y/N thinks about it. “Dunno. I find it admirable. Always eager to improve yourself, I mean.”
Vergil hums. “You’re on odd man.”
Y/N snickers. “Says you. You’re the one that trains in the middle of night.”
For whatever reason, trying to view things from Y/N eyes, he can’t help but chuckle at the thought of it. “I guess I can see why you think I’m odd.”
“Still, it’s just a regular thing for you.”
“Yes.” Vergil says with a smirk. He stops training to get his attention to the other man. “What about you? What’s your story?” It’s rare for Vergil to chat, or even talk with someone. Although he doesn’t have a desire to have people around him, talking to someone is nice in a while.
“Well, I work at the B&B. Lived at this town forever.” Vergil sits down next to the other man. “Honestly, it isn’t something special.”
Vergil wonders if he’s being humble or serious. “Does that bother you?”
“Kinda.” Y/N answers with honest. “I always fantasize having an adventurous life, though I’m kinda a coward. Still, one day I want to leave this place and take a look around the world. Maybe with a goal in mind, or not.”
“What keeps you not doing it?”
“Dunno. Maybe I’m just scared.”
Vergil hums. “For what’s worth, travelling the world broadens the mind. You need to be independent, as well a strong will and mind. Isolation isn’t something for everyone.”
“I didn’t take you as someone so wise.” Y/N wise. “Maybe perhaps I should travel with someone. That way, I can lean on them.”
“That would be a good start for you.” Vergil comments. “I would give an offer, but even if you think you want to, you will regret so.”
Y/N looks confused. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“The journey I’m taking isn’t what regular people should take, for their safety.”
“Huh?” Y/N doesn’t fully get it, only understanding that it’s dangerous. “How dangerous can it be?”
“That depends. Days like these, nothing special happens, or I guess it is, depending how you like at things. Other days, I need to use my sword.” Vergil answers. Still, Y/N doesn’t fully get it. “How about I just say it. The enemies I’m fighting are demons.”
“Like from the Bible?”
Vergil chuckles. “More from the underworld.” He looks up at the starry night. “You see, I’m the son of an angle and a demon. There are worlds that aren’t for human eyes to see, but for me, they are. There, many mysteries are left to be discovered.”
Y/N looks doubtful. “I’m not sure I should take you literally or…”
Vergil looks back at the man. “I can show you my other form, but be warned, I only change appearance. Don’t think I’m going ‘eat you’ or something ridiculous.”
Y/N hums, allowing Vergil to change form, showing his dark skin with blue rays. He looks back at Y/N, who’s mouth hangs open. Then the demon changes back.
“You look stunned.”
“You say that like a normal guy should react like you’re normal.”
Vergil smirks. “Touché.” He looks up again. A soft yawn comes out of him. “Excuse me. I think it’s time to rest. I did enjoy the talk.”
“Me too.” Y/N still sounds a bit shaky. Both men stand up. Afterwards, they walk back to the town. “Why were you so interested to talk to me anyway?”
“While I do enjoy the isolation, there are times someone to talk to clears the mind.”
“You should do it more.”
“And let other’s imprint my demon form into their mind? I’m surprised you didn’t scream out of fear and ran away.” Vergil looks amused.
“I didn’t mean that…” Y/N replies. “Say, if you talk to the same person, you don’t have to share your secret to everyone.”
Vergil cocks his eyebrow. “You want to come with me? I already told you-”
“I know, I know. It’s dangerous, but how many times are you fighting against someone. And say you’re going to do something dangerous; can’t you just leave me somewhere safe or something.”
Vergil thinks about it. “And you’re willing to travel with a man you only met an our ago?”
“I guess I’m that bored of my current life.” Y/N says with a smirk. “Besides, we immediately got along. And it’s not like I’m a hyper extrovert that keeps talking to you.”
Vergil let out an amused hum. “I don’t have a problem with it. However, we have to set rules. When getting into danger, you stay behind. You don’t interfere with my training or other events.”
“I’m fine with that. So, are we going tomorrow?”
“I guess we are.”
-
Days has passed since that happened. Vergil never imagined himself travelling with a companion, especially someone that can’t even wield a sword. However, it has been pleasantly nice. Vergil could share his thoughts with someone that isn’t there to judge him.
Today, after exploring some old, demonic ruins, the demon walks back to the motel room he and his companion got. It’s nighttime, and so it’s time to rest. Once he gets in, he can see Y/N’s eyes laying up on him.
“And?”
“Nothing interesting.” Vergil responds. “No foes to fought, no old relics, no leads to follow.”
“Well, at least you know.” Y/N comments. He sits on the bed.
Vergil sits down next to him, putting the swords on next to him. “I had a feeling it was going to be a waste of my time. Still, you’re correct.” He looks besides him. “I hope you weren’t bored without my company.”
“I’m fine.” Y/N assures. “Actually, I’ve been reading that book you’re traveling with.”
“And? What do you think?”
“It’s hard to fully understand what it says.” Y/N chuckles. “I wasn’t the best with books to begin with.”
“That’s alright. Do you enjoy it?”
“Yes. I think I learn a bit more about you.” Y/N smiles, making Vergil smile.
“That’s good to know. Feel free to read it whenever you want. I can even read it for you, if you want.”
“That would be nice. A perfect bedtime story.” Y/N sarcastically comments.
“I would never imagine enjoy a human’s company. I wonder if others are the same, or if you’re just something special.”
“Oh, I’m something special.”
“Then I better keep a close eye on you.” Vergil leans further to the other man. “You’re still human, so fragile. And even though we met days ago, I can call you someone special to me. So, you’re ready to further explore this journey?”
Rockstar and Attorney, Klavier and Kristoph
Small fic for Kristoph and Klavier! If you could call it that? It's 1.4k words, lmao.
Klavier feels unsure of his skills and whether or not the path he chose was the right one. Not knowing who else to turn to, he calls Kristoph in the middle of the night.
Hurt/comfort except the comfort is temporary. (If any of you make incestuous comments I WILL block y'all. ew.)
umm @jaydovekj you might be interested in this?!?!?!
It wasn't often that my sleep was interrupted before the sun had risen.
The loud ring of my cellphone from the counter jolted me awake. Groggily, I opened my eyes, a wave of frustration washing over me. Who calls a man at this hour? A high-end defense attorney needs his rest. But, well... he also has to consider that random calls in the middle of the night might be emergencies.
As I switched on my phone, the sudden light felt like it'd blind me. I winced and set it down momentarily, reaching for a neatly folded cloth to wipe the lenses of my glasses before putting them on. When I checked the screen again, my vision adjusted to the brightness, revealing the name of the contact: "Klavier." Expected, really; Klavier was the only one bold enough to disturb my beauty sleep. Still, I was a bit surprised.
I hastily answered, stifling a yawn. "Good morning to you, too, Klavier."
"Ach, I'm sorry for waking you, Kris. I didn't know who else to call."
"Is it another song idea you want to share?"
His laugh was dry, humorless, and a bit pathetic. A sound so pitiful it almost made me want to kick him. "Nein, it's a bit silly. I'm not sure why I called."
"Silly?" I echoed, hoping he'd elaborate.
"I'm just questioning a few things. Nothing I can't handle, but... we all have those moments, you understand, ja?"
We all have those moments. How odd. I never quite understood why some people struggled so much with their own minds, why they couldn’t simply snap out of it and see how ridiculous they were being. Klavier- and people in general- were always different from me. It baffled me to no end, a reminder that they were simply too human while I was perfect.
"Anyway, I'm sorry for interrupting you. I know you've been busy and--"
"Klavier." I cut him off before I could stop myself. "Do you want me to come over?"
"...It's too much work. It's late for both of us."
"Answer my question."
A beat of silence passed. "Are you sure?"
"Do I seem like the type to joke about this?"
Another pause. Maybe he realized how ridiculous he sounded, or perhaps the gears in his head were turning. Just as I was about to speak again, he finally responded.
"No, well..." As if remembering he was Klavier Gavin, he corrected, "Nein, you don't. You're right."
"Then I'll come over as soon as I can."
"Okay. Danke, Kris."
I hung up first and rubbed the bridge of my nose. I wanted to leave the topic alone, trust in his ability to "get over it", but he sounded so sorrow-filled I couldn't help myself. Klavier was like a stray puppy when he was sad, so beaten up and so so pathetic you simultaneously want to care for it and crush it between your palms mercilessly. Alas, it's my job as his elder brother to support him despite my own feelings.
..........
I couldn’t believe it. It felt surreal, getting dressed in the middle of the night to comfort my brother. I didn’t spend much time on my appearance; when Klavier visited, our meaningful conversations always happened in the dark, and I doubted tonight would be any different. Still, I wanted to maintain some sense of dignity as I drove there.
The road stretched longer than usual, or at least it felt that way to my tired mind. I tried to push away thoughts about the ridiculous scenario I was in; each time I did, I couldn’t help but think how I probably looked like a lemur with these dark circles under my eyes. Unfortunately, I was my own worst critic.
When I arrived, I knocked twice. The door creaked open, revealing Klavier with a weak smile on his face. It was a poor attempt at reassuring he was okay, given the redness around his eyes and the smudged mascara. I kept any emotions or judgement away from my expression, a skill I’d mastered over the years. Unlike a certain blond man in front of me.
“Ach, where are my manners? It must be freezing out there. Come in.”
I nodded and stepped inside. As expected, the room was dim, lit only by a flickering candle. I never questioned why we always spoke about personal issues in the dark, though sometimes I wondered if it made it easier to connect.
The first time it happened, I had awoken for a glass of water and found Klavier wide awake. We ended up talking until dawn. I never understood how he found the courage to share so much when he usually insisted he was fine. Perhaps, in the shadows, we lost our roles as Klavier and Kristoph, becoming just brothers- free from distance and formalities, able to talk openly when our faces were obscured by darkness.
“Kris?”
I snapped out of my daze. “Sorry. We shouldn’t waste time. What were you questioning earlier?”
“It’s… ridiculous, ja. I’ve been worrying. Wondering if this is the right path.”
My brow furrowed in confusion, but luckily, he couldn’t see it. It *was* ridiculous- he had no reason to doubt himself. I had taught him everything he needed to know; he was more than capable.
“I just…” He sighed, “There’s so much to do, and I have to keep smiling for the paparazzi. It gets overwhelming. You know that feeling, too, richtig?”
“I do." I confirmed, knowing he couldn’t see my nod. “But it’s not about skill. No matter how good you are, mistakes will happen.”
“I know, but sometimes I wish I could avoid them. Like- Like you! You always keep your cool, bruder, and I don’t know how you do it.”
I fell silent, not wanting to crush his spirit. Achieving my level of calmness was impossible for him. Klavier wore his heart on his sleeve, his emotions spilling into his voice and face. He would never be like me, no matter how hard he tried. It was a difficult pill to swallow... for both of us.
“…Klavier, you can’t be like me. Even if we share the same appearance and last name, we’re still Klavier and Kristoph- two different people.”
“Ja, but-”
“Let me finish, please.”
He shrank slightly, like a child. “Okay.”
“The thing is, I might seem put-together, but I have my moments of frustration, stress, sadness… that doesn’t make me any less capable. The same goes for you.”
I took a step closer, placing a hand on his shoulder. I could see doubt and uncertainty swirling in his eyes, and paired with his posture, it made him look like a child again. He’d always clung to me when we were young, asking me why the world was the way it was. I never had an answer, just the reassurance that we had to live in it, and somehow, that was enough for him.
“Klavier, you’re doing great. I’m proud of you. Whatever doubts you have are normal, but don’t let them make you falter.”
I didn’t know if I truly meant those words, but I knew they could provide comfort. I understood that he wanted nothing more than to make me proud and live up to my standards. I wasn’t a fool.
Klavier sniffed and wiped at his eyes with his sleeve. He smiled genuinely- a first for this night- and nodded his head. To stop him from further pestering me with concerns, I hugged him. It caught him off-guard, certainly, but eventually he relaxed and hugged me back.
"...You're much more affectionate today, Kris. I think you're going soft, ja." He chuckled. I felt like he could almost sense me hiding an eye roll. "But... thank you."
We sat there in silence for a few moments. It felt right. As most times of tranquility do, the hug ended and I let my arms fall to my side. Klavier copied.
"Ach." He suddenly spoke up. "I just realized how late it is. Do you want to stay at mine tonight?"
"For once, I'll take you up on your offer."
"I could get you a plush if you're lonely. Do you remember that bear I had when I was-?"
"Don't push it, Klavier, or I might regret my decision..."
For the first time in a while, I smiled as well. Perhaps taking a break from being 'The coolest defense in the west' more often would do me good.
And also thank you so much for reading, leaving a heart or even reblogging - it means a lot to me! If you see any mistakes, please feel free to kindly correct me ♡
"So... what did he say?" Your gaze remained fixed on the phone your step brother now held in his hand, having just picked it up from the table when a notification appeared.
Keeho didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he read the message from his father—a response you both had been anticipating, though you already knew exactly what it would say. Keeho's silence only confirmed your suspicions.
"I can’t come, right?" You lowered your eyes to your cup of coffee, your voice trembling slightly, betraying the emotions you were struggling to suppress.
"It’s not... that." At last, Keeho spoke, though his voice lacked conviction.
"No?" You raised an eyebrow, meeting his gaze. "Then what is it? What’s the reason I can’t come with you?" Before Keeho could answer, you cut him off. "Let me guess," you said, pausing for effect, your tone edging on bitter. "The place where you’re supposed to meet isn’t ‘appropriate’ for someone like me. Am I right?"
"Y/N,"
"Keeho, don’t." You shook your head, a small sigh escaping your lips. You were so tired of his father’s behavior, always acting like you were never truly part of the family. "I’m just... It makes me sad, you know? It’s like I never mattered to him. Which doesn’t make any sense after everything he has done for me and my mom." You paused, taking a moment to collect your thoughts.
This whole... situation that began after your mom passed away left you angry, sad, and confused. You felt many emotions at once—overwhelmed, like a battle raging within you, where every feeling fought for dominance. It always ended with you in tears, wondering how things had spiraled to this point.
"I think it’s just funny how Mom always said he treated me like his own daughter. But now? He tells me we’ll practically be complete strangers after she’s gone. I mean, he has a point, but c'mon? How can you say that to someone you basically raised?" Your frustration spilled over as your voice broke slightly. "He was my father figure, my dad, for over a decade. And now? Now he’s acting like all those years never even happened. Like he's completely fine with calling me a stranger. It hurts. It seriously hurts," you looked up, trying to hold in your tears. You promised yourself not to cry about this again, yet, it always ends up like this.
Keeho watched you sadly, but more importantly, he listened. He didn’t excuse his father like others did with sentences such as, “Not everyone can handle that. You’re lucky he took care of you for this long,” or, “Oh, he’s still a young man. He needs to go out and find someone.” Comments like these only made you feel like a burden. But Keeho was the only one who truly understood your point of view, and for that, you were always grateful.
Once you calmed down a bit, you continued your rant. All those bottled-up emotions came rushing out in waves. Knowing yourself, you’d probably feel bad later for making Keeho sit through all of this—but that was a problem for future you.
"And let’s not forget that he found some chick not even two months after Mom died and married her five months into the relationship." You shook your head in disbelief.
Even though the words had come from your own mouth, you still couldn’t believe them. He and your mom had been in a happy marriage—everyone saw that. It was obvious, even to strangers. People could see how healthy their relationship was; it was almost sickening how sweet they were to each other. They had known each other since childhood, so their bond wasn’t just romantic—it was also built on a strong friendship. They always had each other’s backs, always went the extra mile for one another. And yet, with your mom’s death, all of that just... disappeared?
That didn’t sit right with you. And you had a theory about why that could have happened—a theory that, sadly, felt too accurate. You knew Keeho thought the same thing as you, though neither of you wanted to say it out loud because it wouldn’t change a thing.
You hunched over the table once again and took a sip of your coffee, which had already gone cold. Keeho, on the other hand, didn’t have to deal with this problem; his coffee was long gone—a complete contrast to you as a slow drinker, him being a quick one.
"Look, Y/N, I promise that as soon as I save enough money to buy a proper house, I’ll take you out of this nursing home." Finally, it was Keeho’s turn to speak. "I know you don’t deserve this. I know you don’t deserve to live... here." He eyed the room you were both in, and you did the same, even though you were here 24/7 and knew the room like the back of your hand.
Plain white walls with one small window overlooking empty fields and plain white furniture (two chairs were actually gray) that you had to buy yourself because this nursing home didn’t provide furniture for the rooms. And that was completely fine; you could at least make it to your liking. But buying furniture, even for one room, could get pretty expensive. You didn’t have money to throw around, especially when your stepdad—or ex-step dad—didn’t help with anything. He was the one who made you find a nursing home for yourself, in the first place.
To be honest, you were forced to find one because he casually told you that you had four months to get out of the house because he couldn’t take care of you anymore. Which you knew was total bullshit, but everyone around him bought it and actually praised him for doing it for so long. They never asked you about your opinion or how you felt. Only Keeho did.
"You get used to it," you shrugged. "I plan to put up some posters on the walls. I don’t know how I'll do it yet, but I’ll figure something out," you added, still eyeing the somehow depressing white walls.
"That doesn’t change the fact that you don’t deserve to live like this. To live here, in the middle of nowhere," Keeho insisted. "Have you ever been outside since you got here? No, right? Because there’s nowhere to go, and all around you are just old people you can’t have a proper conversation with." He looked you in the eyes, and the two of you held the gaze for a moment before you turned your attention back to your coffee, gripping the cup tightly.
"You know what?" Keeho said, pulling out his phone, which he had pocketed after receiving his father’s text earlier. "I won’t go. I know he’ll actually be happier being alone with his chick rather than having me around," he muttered while typing. "And... done." He set his phone down after a moment, having apparently responded to a few other messages as well.
"Are you sure about this?" You raised your eyebrows, not entirely convinced he was making the right decision. "I mean... I don’t want to hold you back from spending time with your dad," you admitted honestly.
Yes, Keeho and his dad didn’t have the best relationship, but he was still Keeho’s father, after all. You also knew Keeho rarely visited him unless it was something important—which it never was. His dad only invited him over for food or to "hang out" to get credit and admiration from others, pretending to care about his son when it suited him.
Keeho gave you a look of disbelief, as if wondering how you could even say such a thing. "I’d much rather be here with you, my little sister, than with my dad."
You searched his face, trying to see if he was lying, but his sincerity shone through, and his words warmed your heart. "You meant stepsister," you corrected him, even though you knew this term, after your mom's death, wasn’t also accurate anymore.
"Nope, I meant sister," he said firmly. "My dad may see you as a stranger now, but to me, you’ll always be my little sister."
Thanks to his sincerity, a small smile tugged at your lips. "Can you stop calling me little? I’m twenty-one already," you teased, shifting the topic slightly to avoid getting emotional again.
"But you’re still younger than me, lil’ sis," he said with a sweet, teasing smile.
To be honest? You weren’t complaining. That teasing was exactly what you needed—a distraction from all the heavy emotions swirling in your mind.
Suddenly, Keeho’s phone buzzed again with another notification. This time, you paid it no attention, focusing instead on your coffee, which was growing even colder in your hands. It was probably his dad pretending to be disappointed that Keeho wasn’t coming over, but honestly? You didn’t care.
"Do you want to stay overnight at my flat?" Keeho asked, catching you completely off guard.
"What?" You furrowed your eyebrows, unsure if you’d heard him correctly. "What do you mean?"
"I mean exactly what I said," he replied, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Do you want to stay overnight at my flat? It shouldn’t be a problem if I take you out, right?" A playful smile appeared on his lips.
"Well, no," you said, shaking your head. "It’s a little sudden, but I just need to tell the caregivers here that I’ll be leaving and coming back tomorrow. That’s all," you explained.
"Perfect." He smacked the table with his hand, signaling it was time to go. "Just grab a jacket and whatever else you need. You still have everything at my place from the last sleepover forever ago," he reminded you, and you nodded.
"Could you please put the cups in the sink?" you asked. Keeho nodded, stood up, grabbed both cups, and placed them in the sink as you requested.
The kitchen was part of your room, so it only took him a few steps to complete the task. While Keeho waited, you released the brakes on your wheelchair and moved towards the drawers where you kept your belongings. You pulled out a light jacket (just in case it got chilly outside) and your backpack, which held your essentials. You also grabbed your phone and charger—items you never left behind.
"Ready?" Keeho asked, taking your backpack and jacket for you to keep your hands free.
"Yes." You nodded with a small smile, already feeling happy about leaving this place, even if it was just for a night. The two of you exited your room, you locked the door, and headed towards the elevator. Keeho pressed the button, and you waited.
"Which floor are the caregivers on?" he asked as the elevator doors closed once you were inside.
"The first one," you replied, and he pressed the button. "You can wait in your car while I talk to them, okay? It won’t take long, but they’ll probably have some questions," you added with a small chuckle.
"Okay, if you say so."
When the elevator dinged, signaling it had reached the first floor, you wheeled yourself out while Keeho continued to the ground floor. You made your way to the caregivers’ office, hoping someone would be there. Fortunately, luck was on your side—it was one of your favorite caregivers.
You explained your plans to her, and she was genuinely thrilled to hear about them. Her excitement warmed your heart. She asked a few questions, mostly out of curiosity about where you were going and who you’d be with, since you rarely left your room. In fact, you never left. There was simply nothing to do, either in the nursing home or outside, so you didn’t see the point in going out.
Once that was done, you made your way back to the elevator, went to the ground floor, and found Keeho waiting for you, leaning casually against his car.
"How does it feel to be outside?" Keeho asked smugly, grinning as he opened the passenger door for you.
"Boring," you shrugged as you moved from your wheelchair into the car seat. You were never much of an outdoors person anyway.
"Oh, come on. Can you try being a little positive?" he teased, shaking his head in mock exasperation before closing the door.
He walked to the trunk, loaded your wheelchair inside, and finally settled into the driver’s seat. Keeho started the car and pulled away from the nursing home. As the building vanished behind you, you felt a huge sense of relief — it felt like something heavy had finally been lifted from your chest, even if it was just for a few hours. It was interesting how much lighter and happier you already felt, knowing you wouldn’t be there for at least a little while.
The ride to Keeho’s flat took about an hour. Yeah, you could say it’s not that far; you could travel that by yourself, but it takes an hour by car. If you wanted to take the bus, it would take at least two hours, and from the nursing home, there’s only one bus that runs twice a day. You didn’t want to stress about that, nor were you exactly thrilled about traveling for that long, both there and back. Plus, the bus tickets weren’t exactly cheap either.
During the drive, the two of you talked about random topics to pass the time and even had a mini singing session to the songs playing on the radio.
When you arrived at the apartment complex where Keeho lived, he unloaded your wheelchair from the trunk while you unfastened your seatbelt and opened the door. Once you were back in your wheelchair, Keeho grabbed your backpack and jacket from the car, locked it, and the two of you headed inside the building.
When you reached the door to his flat, Keeho unlocked it and let you in first. You were immediately hit by the familiar smell of apple and cinnamon — Keeho’s favorite candle scent.
To avoid being in Keeho’s way, you moved into the living room, where a big surprise awaited you. At first, it gave you a bit of a heart attack, but you quickly realized it was just Keeho’s dumb friends, who had gradually become your friends too, and you cherished them dearly.
"Y/N!" five boys shouted in cheerful unison the moment they saw you. All of them rushed over to greet you, each giving you a warm hug.
Well, except for Theo, who was also very excited to see you after a long time, but he was smart enough to wait for his turn to hug you, so he wouldn’t get squished by his friends while they were trying to group-hug you.
You didn’t even have time to properly take a look at the living room, which had been turned into a cozy haven by the boys, but there would surely be time to appreciate it later.
"Hi, guys," you said, still a little in shock (though, of course, you hugged them back), happy to see them regardless. "What are you all doing here?" you asked, curious.
"Keeho texted us that you’d be here overnight, so we decided to organize a proper sleepover," Jiung answered enthusiastically. "We got loads of movies, especially horror ones, fluffy blankets, and tons of snacks and drinks," he added with a big grin, clearly proud of what they’d pulled together while you and Keeho were on your way.
You looked up to see Keeho entering the living room, which was way too small for all of you, but no one seemed to care. After all, it was about having a good time with your friends, not about how small Keeho’s flat was. Keeho glanced at you with a small smile; no words were needed. Yet, you wanted to say thank you, to somehow show him your gratitude, but you couldn’t, because you were suddenly lifted into the air.
"What the—" you looked around and quickly spotted the culprit who had picked you up from your wheelchair. "Intak! What did I tell you about randomly picking me up? You can’t just do that!" you scolded him in a nagging tone but couldn’t hide the smile creeping onto your face.
"I know, I know," he acknowledged with a nod as he carried you towards the couch. "But you have to understand, I missed you way too much and just couldn’t resist holding you in my arms." He flashed you a sweet smile, complete with puppy eyes that always worked on you. That’s why whenever the boys wanted something from you (or did something that might have made you mad), they would use Intak and his puppy eyes to soften you up and get their way.
"Sure," you said, playfully rolling your eyes, though you couldn’t help letting out a chuckle, which made Intak smile even wider. "What a romantic you are."
"Me? Always." As soon as he said it, you heard fake gagging noises from the other boys, especially the younger ones, which only made you laugh; how much you’d missed this.
By the time your conversation ended, Intak had already reached the couch and carefully set you down. You ended up right in the middle, with the best view and easy access to all the snacks and drinks the boys had brought.
"Hey, I was supposed to be the one sitting on one of her sides!" Intak complained, frowning when he noticed Soul and Jongseob, the two youngest of the group, already sitting on either side of you with a big blanket draped over all of you.
"Hm, yikes," said Jongseob, barely paying attention to Intak’s whining as he grabbed some chips from the table. "Sounds like a you problem," he looked at Intak with a triumphant grin, and Soul quickly nodded in agreement.
"These kids, really," Intak muttered to himself, turning toward the armchair right next to the couch. "Seriously?" he said, frustration kicking in.
Theo was already lounging in the armchair, his legs draped over one armrest and a bowl of popcorn balanced in his lap. Without a word, Theo simply shrugged, clearly having no intention of moving. Intak groaned and turned back towards the couch, ready to claim a spot near your legs, only to find Jiung and Keeho already seated there.
"This is impossible," he sighed dramatically, collapsing in defeat on the floor in front of the table — the only space left for him to occupy.
All of you (except for Intak, of course) burst into small fits of laughter at his misfortune. But the moment passed quickly as Jiung pressed play on the TV remote, starting the first of many movies for the night.
With Soul and Jongseob snuggled up on either side of you, your arms wrapped protectively around them under the blanket, you let out a slow exhale through your nose. A wave of contentment washed over you as you relaxed into the moment, savoring it to the fullest.
