Not to be that guy but @ english speaking fandom, do you know that Barou (and later Isagi) never uses the r word? Not only is that word an ableist slur, but as a "translation" it doesn't even carry the actual nuance of the original word Barou uses in japanese. He says "下手くそ" (hetakuso) which is just a rude way of calling someone lousy or incompetent. Which actually makes sense with who Barou is as a player, since, you know. He thinks he's a king who stands out against everyone else's inferior skills

Just thought I'd share this since epinagi has now reached that part and I'm seeing that translation circulate again... Just know the r word is a slur, other than being a poor translation here too

Sometimes I think about what Kido’s biological mother and Kano’s father would do if they knew about their child’s situation.

Kido’s mother might know about her daughter being sent to an orphanage since the Kido family was very well known and their house burning down because the head of the family set it on fire is surely something for the local headlines. So either she doesn’t care or wouldn’t be able to take care of a child anyway.

But Kano’s mother’s death was probably not even mentioned anywhere, so if the father was not in the picture, there’s the possibility that he doesn’t even know she’s dead. He might have left thinking his kid will grow up just fine with his mother and that Kano’s better off with her. Or he might not even know he has a child, we have literally zero info on this topic. Only that Kano was sent to his aunt instead of his father after his mother died.

Maybe Kano’s father is dead, maybe he’s travelling the world and doesn’t have time for a child or a family, who knows, he could even be an Australian supermodel who does shampoo commercials for a living.

There’s probably no chance we’ll ever get information about this since it’s not relevant to the story, but it’s still interesting to think about.

Let's see, at first way back in 2008 when PnF was first coming out I honestly didn't think it was going to be that good of a show, so I didn't watch it. (Note that at the time I was like ten and the HSM era was still going on lol) It wasn't until a few months later that I got the HSM2 bouns DVD thing that had the movie and another dvd with like behind the scenes footage and stuff like that, but that other DVD also had the first episode (Rollercoaster) on it

So one day I got bored and decided to go through and just watch all the stuff on the extra DVD, when it got down to watching the episode, it being the only thing I hadn't watched up to this point, I hit play. BAM!!!! That's when my entire opinion changed. I've loved the show ever since!

Follow me down to hell

Walking slowly up a hall, Yui carried one of her school books in hand, as she was in search of somewhere quiet to study. Since she had been in this house she had barely even touched a book, and she was hoping that none of the brothers would bother to find her for just a little while. Seeing a threshold at the end of a hall, the blonde female peered inside to see if it held any occupants, which it didn't. 

Quieted foot steps echoed along the floor as she turned her head to look at the couch and table that sat there, but what mostly caught her attention was the incredibly large grand piano sitting off at the side. This must have been the sound she heard from time to time echoing around the Sakamaki household. Although she didn't know exactly know who was responsible for the soothing melodies that actually eased her.

With pursed lips, she immediately turned her attention towards the instrument and placed her book on top before moving to the head where a stool was seated before it. Looking towards the door to make sure nobody was around she let her fingers glide over a few of the keys and then the smooth flat surface of it.

Biting her lips, she sat down slowly and gently prodded a few more of the keys with her fingertips. A tiny smile growing on the blonde's face as she began to hit more random keys. Having know idea how to play the piano, but enjoying the feeling of having a moment of peace to herself just to toil about. Not everything last forever though, she stiffened just a bit at the quiet sound of laughter by her ear and a smooth voice in her ear.  "R-Raito-kun..I.."
