oh boy... i know a bunch of folks are hyped for this comic... and boy oh boy are ya'll's prayers going to be heard... kind of... butt for the celebration milestone, and granted majority are from this comic, i thought it was best to give EVERYTHING that i have currently.

starting off STRONG with what you freaks most want: the completed pages. andddd yep that's it that all that i have done LMAO. i've been fixated on my own smg4 oc: tsb, and during the end of my summer was unfortunately fucked over by some personal issues that fortunately got resolved last minute good grief the anxiety prevented me from drawing the gays sigh... aNYWAYS LINEART WIPS!!!!

You never feel like you've done something wrong around Zayne because he very rarely actually reacts to anything that you do. He's so used to your antics that nothing ever really throws him off. If you've done something you know is wrong you immediately look for him or look at him if he's there, trying to gauge his reaction.

When you've actually upset him he'll just sigh and shake his head, working to correct whatever it was that went wrong immediately. You get a sinking feeling in your stomach, at a loss for words as he goes into his office to work quietly.

He'll never ever be mad at you but that doesn't stop you from feeling miserable, quietly making your way into his office with some desserts from a cafe he hasn't been able to try yet. You don't really say anything as you slide them onto his desk but he can tell how upset you are with the fact that you refuse to look at him.

He grabs your hand and pulls you onto his lap, giving you the first bite of the sweet treat as he holds you close. It's a wordless way for him to show you how much he loves you and that he's not mad at you. He'll just remind you to be a little more careful next time and that's that.

When you offer to do anything he wants his eyes widen a little. He doesn't know what you're getting at but now that you're no longer upset and touching him gently he understands what you're getting at. He'll tease you all night, drawing things out as a punishment for misbehaving.

baizhu is most often the first to know when they're sick or otherwise unwell. he's so impossibly attentive to their bodily condition, simply because their health is partially his responsibility. he's their teacher. what kind of mentor would neglect to take care of their apprentice? a bad one, that's what kind.

(he also feels somewhat indebted to them—even though they're chronically ill, they're always doing anything they can to help him recover after his "secret art" treatments. even though he's the doctor, they've helped care for him on more than one occasion. he has to return the favor whenever he can. just because he's older doesn't mean he gets to freely take advantage of their kindness.)

if he's not the first to know, he's the second, because the only instance where he wouldn't know first is if they woke up ill at home.

he'll always end up being the second to know, at the very least. someone will inform him of their condition, whether that be a parent or a sibling or another family member. sometimes a friend of theirs may tell him, such as xingqiu, chongyun, hu tao, or xiangling.

in hu tao's case... she may be distrustful of him, but she does tell him when they aren't well. [name] is a childhood friend of hers. she cares about their health and, surprisingly, doesn't want to put them in the ground just yet!

(to some others, his concern might seem overprotective. unnecessary. however, something as simple as the flu has been known to take lives. he worries that, because of their chronic illness, they may be more susceptible to a severe case than others are.)

he has the means to save them if something like that were to happen, and undoubtedly, the life of his sweet and kind apprentice is one that deserves to be saved and protected.

perhaps it's also because it seems to put qiqi at ease; baizhu's noticed that she gets fidgety in [name]'s absence during work hours, but when they're ill and being cared for at the pharmacy, she functions very well and often even remembers to check on them herself.

sometimes when they have a fever, qiqi may sit by their side for minutes at a time and just press her little cold hands on their forehead to cool them off. she also ensures that they stay hydrated.

both baizhu and gui find this behavior very endearing. qiqi cares deeply for her big sibling (despite the fact that she's technically older...). her bond with them is something very special and sweet to bear witness to.

bubu pharmacy's work environment is familial and tightly knit by nature, so it isn't too hard to imagine that something would feel wrong if one of the four herbalists were gone for whatever reason. even those who don't work there are affected by the absence of one or more of the pharmacists.

overall, baizhu takes very good care of them when they fall ill.

he monitors them closely, hand-crafts their medicine depending on what they need, makes sure that their fluid intake is maintained...

he dotes on them tbh.

"Ugh..." they groaned, blearily blinking up at their mentor. Baizhu's hand against the feverish skin of their forehead was cold; they couldn't help but lean into the gentle touch. "Bàba?"

He didn't point it out. He hardly even acknowledged their words, as if he were somehow used to it. He only smiled, hand stroking tenderly over their disheveled hair, taming the defiant strands no doubt caused by restless sleep. "So sorry to wake you, dear."

Even Changsheng was quiet—she only hummed thoughtfully from her place around Baizhu's neck. Normally, she'd find something to tease them about (usually because they started it!), but now... she seemed to know that it just wasn't right to tease them in their hazy state of mind.

Gui was quiet, too. He was surprised. He had never heard them address their mentor such an... informal way, let alone with familial terms. He did once briefly think that the dynamic they had with Baizhu was awfully family-like, but...

It was still unexpected.

"Come, now. It's time to take your medicine again, and then you can go back to sleep, okay?"

Gui watched, still silent, as they hummed in absentminded acknowledgement, rubbing their eyes ever so slightly. It didn't seem to help them come to at all; their gaze was still distant and unfocused and they didn't even realize how they addressed the doctor. If they did... they'd probably apologize, embarrassed, but they showed no such emotion. Baizhu gently guided them into a sitting position, rubbing small circles on their back.

Gui handed the cup filled about halfway with herbal medication off to the doctor. Baizhu gingerly guided it to their lips, knowing very well that the guidance was needed; they looked half-asleep sitting up. Archons know they were in no condition to successfully do it themselves. They took the medicine without so much as a whine about its bitterness—they only grimaced slightly after swallowing. Gui supposed that they never really were one to complain about it, even when fully coherent. 'I think it would set a bad example for others if I complained,' they once told him. 'Plus, it's not like Dr. Baizhu gets some kind of sadistic pleasure from giving medication to me, so there's no reason to complain. It's herbal. There's nothing to be done about the taste... I know he doesn't like taking it either. Hehe. It's kind of funny, actually, like we're hiding some kind of company secret. Herbalists who don't like the taste of herbal medicine.'

It was only after he left the room with the doctor that he pointed it out:

"They called you bàba."

"Hm?" Baizhu hummed, turning to Gui. "Oh. Yes... [Name] has done it quite a few times, actually, whether that be because of fever delirium or a slip of the tongue. I don't mind it. Hi, I read your answer to that ask, describing what happened in season 2. Know that I completely respect that you don't like it (I loved it). But you have a few things wrong or don't know about them (maybe?).

So, Aziraphale is a landlord but he really doesn't care. He forgives Maggie 8 months of rent for a few records that are worth like 20 pounds. He's chill.

(Yeah Crowley throwing the books was a bit ooc but it was also hilarious, i laugh so hard when he did it a second time.)

I kind of agree with you on the Gabriel x Beelzebub, they were a bit cringe and quite sudden (I ship them in fanfic but they are meh in cannon). I thing their relationship was more about getting rid of Gabriel for plot reasons. So Aziraphale can be involved with the Second Coming.

As for the last 15 minutes of ep6. There is a LOT of things, of subtext and miscommunication and physical expressions and whatnot, between Aziraphale and Crowley as well as for the kiss. There were different things they were both thinking the other said and meant. I'm not good at analyzing shit, but if you scroll down the good omens tagg (if you wanna) there are amazing posts doing just that.

As for why this season feels different, and that they are "retconning" Aziraphales progres from the book and season 1, they aren't, really.

Season 2 is just a bridge between seasons 1 and 3. So don't worry, we will be probably getting the South Downs Cottage.

And Aziraphale did realise that Heaven the system is wrong. But he still has that idea ingrained in his mind that Heaven is good, God is good. That it could be good again, only if someone could change it from within. He was definitely manipulated by Metatron. He basically got pulled back into a toxic/abusive relationship by being given everything he though he wanted. It's complex and it's deep, and again, I'm not the best person to describe it (there are many great posts). I think it's similar to Zuko’s arc from ATLA season 3 and 4. Aziraphale has to see from within the toxicity and wrongness of Heaven. (at least this is kind of my theory, sorry for rambling)

I don't agree that "season 2 is just a bridge" because what happened this season didn't make them have no progression or stayed in the place at the end of season 1/the book -- it actively changed a lot of things. Like I said, a big one for me is Aziraphale and Crowley knowing each other as angels. That changed the beginning of the book and S1 and nothing they can do in season 3 is going to backtrack that. Getting the South Downs Cottage isn't really my ultimate goal -- I want the story, themes and vibe to feel really Good Omens, and this season just isn't doing it for me. Of course we may have different understandings of Good Omens, and I also respect that other people can have their own opinions. OH FUCKING BOY. First of all, yes. Season 1 Ethan is very different from seasons 2 and 3 Ethan bc he actually had a shit load of character development. In general though, Ethan has had a lot of practice at getting girls to fall for him. like a lot. like a nauseating amount /j but there are two things that really set you apart from his past flings. first of all, you didn't start out as friends with Kat, Ethan met you on his own terms. second, you really didn't fall for a lot of his games like other girls have. similarly to Logan Huntzberger, he's surprised when you treat your relationship as casually as he does. he's intrigued even. but what really gets Ethan to wake the fuck up and realize what a catch you are, how much he likes you and wants to hold onto you, is when he realizes that you're seeing other people too. he sees some guy from third year that he doesn't really know that well chatting you up, touching your arm and making you laugh. and he does not like it. not one bit. so when you show up to workshop the dance he's been choreographing as promised Ethan simply cannot focus on the steps or what a perfect choice you are. he thinks he can keep it together, but he's already letting his feelings slip out when you're warming up.

gah OK I've been thinking about something that happener on thursdya. lengthy recount ig (im learning from aita posts)

so i was on my way to the school gate after club and ran into my seniors from club. they were going in the direction i came from so we were just crossing paths. and i'm friendly with them, we don't talk a lot because i have my friend my age in club (but shes a lot closer to them than i am to them due to her extroverted nature - this matters later), but not that seldom either. so i said bye to them and they were all saying bye to me as i passed them. including this one senior, let's call them R. and i was pleasantly surprised because im pretty sure R dislikes me.

so, R is sorta close to my friend i mentioned earlier, who ill refer to as C, and they always gossip during club cus theyre both in the student council. im not, so most of the time im just sitting there awkwardly listening, but im not involved in the conversation, so im really not close to R.

anyway, R always waves or says hi to C, and recently i noticed that she just acts like im not there when im always next to C. the other day when C was late to club, R saw me and asked "where's C?" im sure she didn't think twice about it but it doesn't feel great to know that the only person i am to anyone in club is C's best friend, not even worthy of receiving some sort of friendly greeting. also on Thursday, i was standing in front of one of the big fans to cool down, and R was nearby. R came up to me and stood in front of the fan, facing me, so we were just awkwardly standing there for some reason idek. R is a head or so shorter than me so i was just awkwardly smiling down at her because im nice like that /j. we didn't say anything and she just left like five seconds afterwards...

so back to the main point. my seniors and i walked past each other, and they said bye to me, even R. at that point we were turning a corner, so i could still hear them talking past the corner, and i heard the other seniors teasing R, saying "who are YOU to say bye", while laughing. obviously to me this implies that R told them that she didn't like me, making it ironic of her to say bye to me, and hence the other seniors said that. i heard them very clearly btw they were not even out of earshot. im trying not to let this bother me because i may be wrong but i cannot think of any other explanation :/ if she dislikes me then so be it but i don't want to be disliked by my other seniors who are really nice. and i want to know if ive done anything wrong other than being lanky and awkwardly standing around.

The crystal king was on the battlefield zane telling them to not engage but he was caught off guard and had no choice but to engage the corrupted power brushing across his face kai manged to gain the upper hand only for the monster to look at him staring into his soul.

"Oh kai still think your the strongest" the beast mocked it sounded like no. The mask of its face shrunk slightly and pulled upwards and kai saw jay pale eyes purple and blue with red pupils. He looked pained mouth twisted into a smile sharp teeth painfully obvious.

"J-Jay" kai would mutter as the mask covered his face once again lighting striking him he was saved by Cole thank the first for his existence.

The rubble moved his hand breaking through it rising again standing turning to face the ninja lighting and darkness coating his 4 arms and hands glowing the ninja looked terfied how'd he reveal in thier screams. Rising his hand to kill them the vessels vioce annoyingly gaining volume.

'Don't you dare' jay cried he saw through his eyes but was powerless a watcher against his best wishes seeing nya look so scared because of him hurt him no no matter whatbthe overlord did nya would survive all of his friends would this was his body his command and was his element.

The crystal king raised his hand the ninja stared thier eradication certain. They cried good byes. Then blue sparks the crystal king backed away.

"Get out now" it screeched

Inside of jays mind Waa a ragging war occurs conflict mind against mind blades shining and clashing chains breaking then he felt kai his brother.

"Fight him jay" kais vioce rang through his head lighting sparking this was his domain not the overlords.

Days latter jay awoke feeling alone for the first time in over a year jay for the first time in forever felt ok with that. Then he opened his eyes seeing the medbay of monstary he felt to his chest feeling warmth no armour or crystals but then he saw the machines vitals go crazy as soon as he stared at the door no one noticed good he could slip out and then run away any where just to avoid thier judgemental stares at him as he pleaded his case for why he was the crystal king. He stood and noticed his hands claws and grey ish blue skin he felt large sharp teeth in his jaw he looked at his feet they looked different claws and back claw he felt a line of spines along his back getting up he walked over to mirror his eyes were blue and purple horns atop his head tears formed what had he dun why did he do it grief that was no excuse he knew they all grieved but he alone was responsible for probably hundreds no thousands of deaths. Jay crept out stocking to the shadows crawling along each shadows way to easily. He heed an argument.

"He is responsible kai" Lloyd cried

"Is he Lloyd he made a mistake and was clearly not in control when he preformed those actions" kai retorted back sounding disgusted at Lloyd

"Jay was grieving we all were he just happens to be the only one to turn into the overlord" Lloyd screeched.
