oh also there's so little light pollution here that I saw the milky way for the first time ever and I think I finally understand what a religious experience feels like

#you step outside and it's pitch black but you keep looking up and all of a sudden there's thousands and thousands of stars in the sky #each with its own distinct color and brightness #and the milky way oh my god it's gorgeous and it stretches all the way across the sky. you can see the great rift and everything.
